Franchise Fee contract in installations

Dear Experts,
our requirement is to design a Franchise Fee contract for customers of only one city out of the Utilitie's service area.
After assiging the FFgroup in the rate steps, I cannot bill the other installations, that do not belong to the particular city...because the FFcontract in the installation is 'mandantory'? In billing, I get the error message to assing a FF contract and I do have an IF else to avoid the FFgroup for the other installations. It does not even matter, if I end the FF contract month before my billing cycle.
Did somebody else see this problem earlier and can tell me, what a solution might be? Different rate categories (with and without Franchise Fee) or a dummy FFcontract?
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom,
Not sure what is your load of customers on which franchise fee shouldn't apply, but there is an option to exempt the installation from franchise fee, just beside the field of franchise fee.

  • Video Franchise Fee

Does anyone know what this fee is for? Please can someone help me with this, thank you.

Shouldn't this fee be included in our basic package quoted fees.... Because I am then going to question what are all the details in the basic charges for. What law voted this video franchise fee from our local government, and when was it passed? I want to make for certain when I contact our chamber of commerce that this issue will be an issue ASAP. As far as the PEG (Public Educational Government fee) Not only should this be included in the basic quoted package fee but how did you come up with these fees. If you think about this logically: You want us to pay the government a tax for letting us has TV/ internet / home, and having us pay a franchise tax fee for the same privilege. The franchise fee should only be collection money and taxes from the prime company that makes us satellite capable to have this usage to enable a franchise (Verizon) to be able to publicly distribute their services to us the customers. This should be a one time bulk amount or a agreed fixed leasing amount (which should be publicly visible). Now that is a contract between the actual companies providing the satellite usage to Verizon. This is not a customer fee to Verizon. If it was accurate and we are to pay, then essentially the more people that get service from you the less we would pay. Otherwise if you keep the monthly amount the same, either as a hypothetical bulk or leased fee to the franchise (Verizon), from the main satellite providing companies,  then that would only say that there will no longer be any new customers. That would be a mutual contracted agreement with us(the consumers) and you(Verizon) because we wanted this service so bad that we are willing to pay additional fees to keep it going. That is a very possible hypothesis, but reality is we are being overcharged to begin with, double taxed frivolously, and cornered to pay all the fees without rhyme or real reason. Then I would only began to wonder the true basic plan in its entirety, on where that fee and what makes up the fees to total that amount quoted to the customers. You would naturally think that like most companies, that they account for fees, taxes, etc from any or all outside services so that they may generalize a standard basic quoted fee, and that it would be incorporated in the declared service quote to customers. This is very misleading the way Verizon has marketed this service. In all actuality,  it is false advertisement. There must be a government entity that our everyday tax goes towards to have people in a position to watch over companies that do this very same unethical tactic. Serving your customers better, would be to not with hold information that directly affects our pocket books. It is at our expense that this service continues to attract more business without commission given to us ( the $ being the only way to continue as a franchise). Where is our cut? Where is our finders fee? If it weren't for those additional taxes by contract, forced to pay, even though false pretenses and premeditated MIS-quoting fees, you (Verizon) couldn't continue to attract more people. So we the customers are providing not only the money for you to stay in business, your marketing, your taxes, but your increase YOUR money and business. What about all this is just not quite right? Im interested in hearing some answers and comments from either the main source, Verizon, my government, or other consumers.

  • Billing Problem: Tax and Franchise Fee for Internet Service

As I said it's likely not fixed. They likely just issued a one time credit to offset the charges, but the charges will just be back next month. I already said agents have no control over taxes.

I am currently being charged tax and a franchise fee for my internet only service. I do not have cable/TV service. I have verified this fact with two Comcast representatives. However, my account as it appears online shows that I have cable/tv service. As per H.R. 3086 - 113th Congress (2013-2014), Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act - Amends the Internet Tax Freedom Act to make permanent the ban on state and local taxation of Internet access and on multiple or discriminatory taxes on electronic commerce.  Therefore, since the Comcast representatives verify that I have only Internet service, the tax and franchise fees on my bill are illegal. On numerous occasions I have requested that this error be addressed, and now I am resorting to this forum for some help before I file a complaint with my local utilities and other regulatory boards. My wish is not to create a problem for Comcast. I simply wish for my bill to be corrected and reflect only the legal charges associated with my account. Thus far, no Comcast representative has been able to address or correct this problem.

  • Removing a contract and installation from a premise w/no trace history.

A garbage contract & installation needs to be deleted from the account.    Deleting 2 years of invoices and then having to rebill for storm water, water and sewer would cause reconciliation issues because these invoices are from prior years.
Customer should never have had a garbage installation moved in.  How can this be done without (reversing 2 years of invoicing) without affecting revenue distribution?
I had suggested just moving out garbage, note the account and issue the customer a manual bill.  Then someone stated that when you perform a move in on an address, ALL available installations associated with the premise come up whether the previous account’s installations are active or otherwise (closed and/or moved out)....Is this true?

Thanks for your help William.  I will implement option2 because the premise is not a demolition but we do want to move out that garbage installation for the current customer.  Now what type of enhancement/configuration needs to be done to prevent a garbage installation from being moved in for future tenants?  Would a flag for a deletion on the installation work?  Would the enhancement be on the contract account # or the contract #?

  • Franchise contracts posting doc. SAP ISU

    Hi experts,
We are integrating Gas and Electricity in the same machine. Gas use to be also in SAP but in another machine. Now, I finished the customizing but in preproduction the franchise BP does not have any open items.
I do not know why when I execute EA19 the franchise posting doc it is not beeing generate. I have customize in SPRO (SAP UTILITIES // Contract billing// Special functions// Franchise contract). I also have the Franchise contract in my installation, the franchise contract well created, and the franchise contract group in my schema.
I do not know what else is missing. I think It can be FICA customizing or a FQEVENT, but by now I have no clue.
Please, Has anyone customized this before?
    Thanks and regards.
    PPABCAR

Thank you for your help, but still not working.
I have the operand with the radio button, and my franchise fee rate is retrieving a correct amount.
The this is that when I am getting and invoice I should be getting a document of the franchise fee and the post in the franchise BP.  That is why I thought it could be FICA custo.
    Thanks.

  • Populating price agreements for performace base contracts with idoc

    Hi Experts,
We are trying to create Contracts through idoc. We are using CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE_M02 idoc and we are able to successfully create the flat fee contract and performance base contracts.
we are having problem with populating the price agreements for the performance base contract . We are using "E101CRMXIF_BT_PRCD_COND" segment for populasting pricing agreements but its not populating. But in case of a flat fee contract it is working fine we are able to create price conditions.
Could you please let us know how can we resolve this issue if any one faced thjs problem earlier.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sarath. J

Jürgen, thank you very much for your answer.
Unfortunately maintaining the info records is not an option in this instance as we have 1000s of materials and vendors (conveyor belts is just one example and this category alone contains a few 100s unique material masters with different attributes and each vendor will have a different variable price. For an indirect material category I don't think this is worth the effort).
I like your suggestion to check the difference between the PO price and a moving average price. However, what if the material is being purchased for the first time and therefore the moving average price is £0.00? Do you know the code for the user exit you mentioned? Are there any other solutions?

  • Record smart meter programs at contract level

    Hi,
I have a requirement to record somewhere in ISU-CCS and SAP CRM the smart meter programs a residential customer has enrolled into with the start and end dates for a particular utility contract. There could be more than one programs associated with a utility contract at one time. Please advise.
    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi Dan,
I can speak for ISU-CCS - you might have various options, e.g.
    - business partner contact (informational only, higher than contract level)
    - installation facts (for the current contract),
    - rate category (and rate determination - for the current contract)
as well as a Ztable to store enrollment/ deenrollment of various smart meter treatments for accounts.

  • Does Business Partner have one Contract Account per premise ?

    Hi,
    Business Master Data
    a) Business partner
    b) Contract Account
    c) Contract
    Technical Master Data
    a)Connection Object
    b)Premise
    c)Installation.
    Relations:
One Business Partner will have multiple Contract Accounts
One Contract Account will have multiple Contracts( ex: Gas contract or Electricity contract or water contract)
One Contract will have one installation
One Connection Object will have multiple Premises.
One Premise will have will have multiple installations
    Question:
Is it like one Contract Account can link to only one premise? Or does it depend on Company data model?
One Business partner has 2 properties at 2 different premises. And 2 contract at these 2 premises.
To manage this situation, Does BP need 2 different CA or only CA can have these 2 contract with different premises?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Murtuza

    Murtuza:
    The cardinality is as follows:
    1 BP : n CA
    1 CA : n Contracts
    1 Contract : 1 Installation
    1 Connection object : n Premises
    1 Premise : n Installations
So a Bp can have 1 or several contract accounts, and an account can have 1 or more contracts, and the contracts for an account can be for any service locations - they are not limited [standard system behavior] to a specific location.  Client data model and business rules may determine differently.
    regards,
    bill.

  • Connection between Connection Object & Contract Account

    Hi ISU GURU's
Could any one pls let me know where exactly connetion object is linked to contract account.
Basically our problem is where exactly we can maintain connection between technical master data to business master data.
    Thanks in advance
    sree

    Hi Owk,
Well, I love to explain the things with the example, i don't know would you follow the same approach... Never the less, first with the example and then bit technical:
    E.g.
    I have a building:
4290, El camino real Palo Alto - 94301, CA
It contains number of Aprtments : 3
Every aprtments have : 1 individual Electric connection
    Payment = Individually
So there are 2 questions raised,
    >> what physical entities are mapped to what technical objects in IS-U master data??
    >> Where are the link between customer data and technical things ??
    Ans 1:
    1 Building = Connection Object
    3 Apartments = 3 premise
    3 customers = 3 contract accounts
    3 Individual payments/Connections = 3 contracts & 3 installations
    Ans 2:
There si no direct linkage between connection objec and contracty account as both are sperate entities but
    : Customer - > contract account
    : Connection object -> Premise
    >>>>>>>>>>>>At the time of Move-in (EC52E), the Business master data (Customer -> contract account) is got linked to the Technical master data (Installation - > Devices -> Device Location - >Premise -> COnnection Object).
    Customer - > Contract account
Contract (Contract gets cretaed at the time of move-in so as link)
Installation - Premise - Connection Object
                           Device Location
                           Devices and registers
Don't hesitate to ask again, if it doesn't solve the problem
    Cheers,

  • SAPGUI installation

    Hello,
    i am a new user.
I tried to install SAPinstGUI.exe after installing Sapinst.exe.
    Sapinst.exe is successfully installed.
if i try to install SAPinstgui.exe, then i get problem.
    After starting the SAPInstGUI.exe;
        Host: localhost
        Port 21212
Checkbox for "Connect via SAP Router is not selected"
Then i press on "Log on"
    it doesn't work.
(icon in sapmmc is green. Processlist icon is green too. in AS ABAP WP TABLE ; everything has Startstatus.)
I would be appreciated, if you can inform me about that.
    Thanks,
P.S. is it possible to upload some screenshots in this forum?

    Hello,
OSS is SAP service marketplace website (service.sap.com). I am not sure for the trial version documentation but for normal customer contract allow us to 'Register' a developer at service.sap.com for a particular installation number for a customer sap landscape.
    'i gave that: "29671482393151224771" and "07222097363139263004" from start.htm'
I guess this is the 'developer key' which has already been provided with trail version installation ? Then in that case, this developer key should be corresponding to some 'specific' userid (most probably). I tell you this just because of the fact that in normal customer contracted sap installation, we register a developer (particular user id) w.r.t it's SAP system userid and that key is unique to that sap userid for that particular installation number in the landscape.
So may be you are not using that specific userid to create a new program.
'P.S. i use the trial version. Do ist cost, if i get Access Code from OSS?'
Not sure, I would wait for other techies to help us here on this point. Or you go through the trail version documentation once more.
    Thanks

  • Help to determine Active and Final Billed Contracts

    Hello folks,
I'm coming from the BW side and I seek to understand how Final Billed for an Active Contract is defined. These is two part to this question,
    1. How do you define Active Contracts
    2. How do you define an Final Billed for an Active Contracts
Can someone here shed some light on this? Thanks.

    Hi,
Active Contract is created during the process of Move In where the Move Out date is blank on display contract screen.
You can see active contract on display installation (es32 transaction) screen.
You can check the Active contract details for a Installation using "EVER" SAP table.
Final billed contract means a customer has moved out. If you click on "Billing Periods" button on display installation screen you will get all the previous final billed contracts for installation. For Final billed contracts there will be a Move Out date populated on display contract (es22 transaction) screen. You can also check all the Final billed contracts for a Installation using "EVERH" SAP table. For final billed contracts there will be a Final move out Invoice document.
Please let me know if this solves your queries.
    Thanks,
    Mayuresh

I ordered only the performance internet (thru XFINITY website) which is offered at $24.99 per month (promo for 12 months). I understand the installation fee for the first bill, but I wonder why1) the breakdown of the installation fee is $30.00 for video and $10.00 for the internet (I only ordered the internet!)2) I subscribed to the internet only but I got a bill including XFINITY bundled services + taxes, surcharges, & fees for the TV service (It also appears on XFINITY my account that I am connected to TV service)  Please help me understand the items in red below.Thank you for your time and consideration. -------------------------------------------------------------------XFINITY Bundled services $50.00 XFINITY Internet $34.99 - performance internet $24.99- wireless gateway $10.00) Other Charges & Credits $40.00- Install fee - video ($30.00)- Install fee - internet ($10.00) Taxes, Surcharges, & Fees $4.98- TV franchise fee $1.70- TV Sales tax $1.42- Internet sales tax $1.86 Estimated Total $79.97

  • Can I find out WHY FIOS is not availble in Smyrna, DE

    Yeah, yeah, yeah;
I know the official words from Verizon - "Service is unavailable in my area, we are continously expanding...."
We've had fiber on the poles for several YEARS now here in Smyrna (it was run down my street when they expanded the road / put in sidewalks).
Zip code 19977 (Smyrna) has FIOS in New Castle County (I'm a mile into Kent)
Cheswold (the next town south) has FIOS.
    Dover has FIOS.
    Even Felton has FIOS.
Now, with Smyrna expanding at the rate of 10% per year (5000 households in 2000, 5000 new / approved houses since), I can't see this not being an area that Verizon wouldn't want to expand into.
Currently, I am paying $80 / month to Verizon for phone and DSL, and another $90/ month for Digitial HD from Comcast. All for services that are LESS than what I could get for $99 or $109 / month w/ a FIOS bundle (higher speed + more channels)
So, is this an issue like Wilmington where the local Town of Smyrna politicians are just playing hard-to-get, and want an outrageous amount of money in local franchise fees?  I wouldn't doubt it, since the local franchise fee on my cable service is high, my electric rate is inflated 60% above cost, etc.
If this is the case, then can someone please contact me with any details? I will raise the issue at each and every town hall meeting (weekly) until it is resolved.  It is well worth it to save $70+ /mon !
    Thank You.
    James
P.S.  FIOS would also eliminate the BAD and INSUFFICIENT copper that exists in Smyrna.  On my street, there is a notorious bad pair that when someone complains, the service tech comes out and simply moves it to another person of the street.  There are no additional pairs available, so...  The next time it rains hard, that line goes dead...
I've gotten it 3 times in the past 3 years.
    *sigh*

  • Modify a SELECT Query on ISU DB tables to improve performance

    Hi Experts,
I have a SELECT query in a Program which is hitting 6 DB tables by means of 5 inner joins.
The outcome is that the program takes an exceptionally long time to execute, the SELECT statement being the main time consumer.
Need your expertise on how to split the Query without affecting functionality -
    The Query :
    SELECT  fkkvkpgpart eablablbelnr eabladat eablistablart
      FROM eabl
INNER JOIN eablg  ON eablgablbelnr = eablablbelnr
INNER JOIN egerh  ON egerhequnr    = eablequnr
INNER JOIN eastl  ON eastllogiknr  = egerhlogiknr
INNER JOIN ever   ON everanlage    = eastlanlage
INNER JOIN fkkvkp ON fkkvkpvkont   = evervkonto
      INTO TABLE itab
WHERE eabl~adat GT [date which is (sy-datum - 3 years)]
    Thanks in advance,
    PD

    Hi Prajakt
There are a couple of issues with the code provided by Aviansh:
    1) Higher Memory consumption by extensive use of internal tables (possible shortdump TSV_NEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED)
    2) In many instances multiple SELECT ... FOR ALL ENTRIES... are not faster than a single JOIN statement
    3) In the given code the timeslices tables are limited to records active of today, which is not the same as your select (taking into account that you select for the last three years you probably want historical meter/installation relationships as well*)
    4) Use of sorted/hashed internal tables instead of standard ones could also improve the runtime (in case you stick to all the internal tables)
Did you create an index on EABL including columns MANDT, ADAT?
Did you check the execution plan of your original JOIN Select statement?
    Yep
    Jürgen
You should review your selection, because you probably want business partner that was linked to the meter reading at the time of ADAT, while your select doesn't take the specific Contract / Device Installation of the time of ADAT into account.
Example your meter reading is from 16.02.2010
Meter 00001 was in Installation 3000001 between 01.02.2010 and 23.08.2010
Meter 00002 was in Installation 3000001 between 24.08.2010 and 31.12.9999
Installation 3000001 was linked to Account 4000001 between 01.01.2010 and 23.01.2011
Installation 3000001 was linked to Account 4000002 between 24.01.2010 and 31.12.9999
This means with your select returns four lines and you probably want only one.
To achieve that you have to limit all timeslices to the date of EABL-ADAT (selects from EGERH, EASTL, EVER).
    Update:
Coming back to point one and the memory consumption:
What are you planning to do with the output of the select statment?
Did you get a shortdump TSV_NEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED with three years meter reading history?
Or did you never run on production like volumes yet?
Dependent on this you might want to redesign your program anyway.
