Freight Charges on Subcontacted items

Hello All,
I would like to know if anyone has implemented freight charges on subcontracted items. We would like to add the freight charges on the costing of subcontracted items, I have seen some threads on this,
I am not sure what the solution is. I appreciate your time and help in advance, Please guide on the right path as to how we can implement this.
Thanks

Ajay and Shailendar,
thanks for your replies. Sorry for the delay in getting back on this issue. Our users want to see the freight charges on a separate cost component line in the CK11N. So I created a cost component for Freight. However, I do not know how to get the value into this Freight cost component line. When I tried to add the freight charges through CK74N, they are going into overhead as I was using overhead cost element in CK74N. Users do not want this as the overhead costs are inflated because of the freight addition to the overhead. Any ideas how to get the freight charges only into the cost component?
Thanks in advance.

Please raise subsequent debit with refrence of Purchase order. Freight charge add in your stock items. and change the vendor code in header.
    or
Use of G/L account tab OR Material tab for direct postings
second thing------if your PO vendor & freight vendor is same, use details tab in heade level, Put your freight charge in Unplanned deliver cost.

  • Freight Charges are created as Separate Invoice not within the line items

    Hi Folks,
    I have a peculiar problem here :
I will assign the freight cost to the items that are getting shipped during shipping either to the lines or to the delivery,
I Ship the line and create autoinvoice master program.
Expect that one invoice is generated with the lines that is shipped with the freight charges included in the invoice.
But there are two invoices generated with line items on one invoice and freight charges on the other.
We have a setting where in the freight charges are shown as separate line in the invoice.
This issue cannot be reproduced at will. This is happening in some cases only...
    Any pointers towards it...

    Hi Lukasz,
I compared the item line and freight line in the RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL table....i see the following differences.
    1) Shipment_number for item line is 2 and that of freight line is 0
    2) Line_id is different for both
    3) original_gl_date is populated only for the freight line.
    4) customer_trx_id is different for both the lines.
I see since the customer_trx_id is different the invoices are different.
I think how did this populated differently..
I tried creating a test case wherein trying out same scenarios given in the point no.1,2,3. The system is generating one invoice with item and frieght in one invoice.
If the issue is with only customer_trx_id different. This field is an autogenerated sequence RA_CUSTOMER_TRX_S.nextval. How did this populate different sequence for item and freight lines?

  • Freight charges getting added to Netprice in PO item overview

    Hi,
In PO,freight charge is getting added to net price of the line item.
From that 12.5 CST is getting calculated.
For example Rs 1lakh is my netprice.
Rs 10000 is my freight charge.
But 12.5% CST to be calculated on 1lakh only, but it's getting calculated on Rs110000.
How to get rid of this?
    Regards

    Hi,
    1.  Please check the freight condition type using M/06. Tick the checkbox for Accruals in the control data of the condition type.
    2. In the pricing procedure, against that freight codition type, ensure that the statistical checkbox is ticked and the Accrual key and account key assigned.

  • Linking Freight charges/installation charges in the catalog item

    Hi CCM/MDM experts,
I have a requirement. Please look into it
In the catalog can we have installation costs/freight costs attached to an item?
When I select the item in the Shopping cart from catalog, it should bring cost of the item as well as additional cost under the pricing condition. The same thing should show up in PO.
The labor cost is expected to hit a different GL account.
Your help on this highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Vemulap
In our system we list Delivery Charges as a separate Catalog item with a zero price for each vendor, (or a fixed price if one exists).
We allow our users to edit shopping cart items with a zero price but not those with a catalog price.  This is bespoke in our system using a BADI.
We then direct the Freight charges to the correct GL account by linking to a UNSPSC code for freight.
By this method users can enter the delivery charges themselves when creating the Cart. This leads to a separate line on the PO for Freight that must be confirmed.
We tried to use pricing conditions but it gets horribly complicated and later on leads to problems with invoice entry if you have an organization with a large AP section as we have.
    Hope this helps

    Hi
Is it is a revised or request delivery date? Assuming it is a request delivery date i am using request terminology
As you want to add two extra feilds freight charges and Request delivery date.
For Freight Charges - If they are item level freight charges then you give the following tables data - VBAP,KOMV
For Revised Delivery Date -  use the following data  - VBAP, RV45A-ETDAT also

  • Freight charge with tax in sales order

    Hi all
my company must implement a particular management of freight charges:
in some cases to the customer sales order my company, a part the product cost, add the freight charges (made by a carrier vendor which will send after a vendor invoice to my company) to item value, but these aren't managed like overprice to product cost, but as a true service sales with how proper VAT tax.
    At example:
I sell to customer A the product B with unit price 100 and quantity 10 (net value for product 1000) and VAT for product 10% (total value with tax 1100). We add a freight charge (estimated) of 200 euro (net value 1000 + 200 = 1200) with own proper tax percentage (example 20%). The total document value will be 1000 (product net) + 200 (freight charge) + 100 (vat 10% over 1000) + 40 (vat 20% over 200) = 1340 euro with two different VAT tax code.
You know if exist something in the standard for manage this or I must play with the normal conditions?
    thanks
    Davide

    Dear ,
Please check the Variant assigned to Sales document type in Tcode: VOV8 and select the document type being used
and click on detail tab and check the variant field under Transaction Flow Tab.
And further check the Variant in Tcode: SHD0,if the field is grayed out.

  • Scenario on Purchasing Process - Freight Charges to Different Vendor

    Hi Experts,
We have a business scenario here that we want to implement on the MM - Purchasing Process.
My Client's industry is on Selling Mixed Concrete. Every time they make Contract with Scheduling Agreements, for Raw Materials like Cement 20MM or DUST, on each available Plant from a partner company on a different location. Some of the Location are not inside the country as well.
When we do Scheduling Agreement, we do a blank quantity for example, 30,000 for 20MM on Plant A and 10,000 for 20MM on Plant B. During the creation of Schedule Lines, we key in differect schedules of delivery (incl PGR). Then by the end of the Period, we create a Vendor Invoice.
However on some delivery item, we have a scenario where from a specific Vendor A, we have a Vendor B that delivers our Materials to our Plant (Transporter Vendor). So we have to create another Invoice for them. We have to have 1 Invoice for the Supplier and 1 Invoice for the Transporter Vendor.
I understand that SAP can do 2 Vendor assignment on PO, 1 for Material Goods and 1 for Freight Charge. The Amount will sum up per Ordered Item and during PGI, the Material Cost will be based on this amount. I'm okay with the first statement but the summed amount is not okay with some scenarios.
The problem with some scenarios is that we should not base the Freight Charge on the schedule quantity. We agreed that the Quantity to be considered for Freight Charge is based on their Shipment Tonnage Agreement (which is weighed on the Vendor 2's side). Then for the Schedule Line Qty, we have to take the Average Weight from our side and from their side, and that should be the Schedule Line Qty. The Amount to be posted in PGR line item should be the amount from the Schedule Line Qty and the Freight Charge based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement and the Material Cost will be valuated with the sum of these values. At the end of the Month, we create an Invoice for the 2 Vendors at the same time: one with Freight Charge the other on is the Stock Amount.
So for this requirement, is there a way we can add another Quantity, based on the Shipment Tonnage Agreement to calculate the Freight Charge inside, And the Transporter Vendor, in the Schedule Line Conditions to be included in the PGR?
Please suggest me configurations to do this also.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Hi Cruz,
If your requirement is to bill on the monthly average basis for the freight vendor, you can create new condition type for freight based on quantity. Use the calculation type 'M' - Quantity monthly price, in conjunction with the scales and use the scale basis 'C' if the freight cost is fixed based on your shipment agreement.
If your agreement is based on no.of shipments use the scale basis 'S' - no. of shipping units.
Even if these two are not suiting use the scal basis 'G' - formula and define the calculation based on your requirement.
Once this is configured for the condition type. Then maintain the conditiona values accordingly.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • Freight charges cannot be changed in PO

    Hi Masters
I have created a import PO for a vendor X and freight charges in PO for the vendor Y for about 14000 JPY. MIGO and MIRO(delivery costs) has been done later. After that it is found that the freight charges is wrongly mentioned in the PO.The actual freight cost is 1300 JPY.
So I cancelled the MIGO document and MIRO document to change the freight charge in PO.Although I have cancelled the both i cannot change the Freight charge in the PO.
    How to solve this?
    Regards
    Mohan

Refer the OSS Note ::  457511
Is it possible to change or add delivery costs in the purchase order after a goods receipt has been executed?
    Answer:
No, this should not be possible. The system generates error message V1631 'You cannot enter new delivery costs' (V1631). Important: If your system does not behave in the manner described, this is an error that can be corrected using Notes 187694 and 196884. This affects the earlier Support Packages of Release 31I, 40B, 45B and 46B (you will find more detailed information in the two notes mentioned).
For the changeability of delivery costs after an invoice receipt, see Note 651798 and Note 720191, or Note 549408.
The existence of held delivery cost invoice documents must be checked manually and has to be considered.
Delivery costs must not be entered again or changed if all follow-on documents were cancelled for the purchase order item, unless there were no delivery costs for the posted documents. Otherwise there is no guarantee that continued processing will run without errors.
If you change the Customizing for existing delivery costs, the system does not read this either in a purchase order with an existing goods receipt. The new Customizing settings only take effect when you create a new purchase order.
Of course, the condition values of time-dependent conditions can still be changed even after a goods receipt has occurred. See question four for information on how to change the master condition values.
    Please note:
The restrictions on changing delivery costs as described above have only been developed over time. This is not due to changed functions, rather previously we did not know that making changes could sometimes lead to subsequent irreparable errors.
In particular, when you post invoices for delivery costs, the logic considers delivery costs that have already been posted (even if they have since been cancelled) AND the data for delivery costs from the database (as displayed in the purchase order). During processing, you have no way of knowing if this information is no longer compatible, nor any way to discover the cause, and this leads to incorrect processing.
You should therefore proceed as follows:
If delivery costs were entered incorrectly, you must cancel all related purchase order items (reverse all documents) and enter a new purchase order item with the correct delivery costs. Otherwise, there is no guarantee that further processing will be correct.
If your delivery costs are changed regularly, you should use master conditions.
    Additional note:
If you have manually changed or maintained conditions in the purchase order, under certain Customizing settings when you run a new price determination after a goods receipt, a condition may be determined twice. For more information, see Note 456691, question 26.

    Hi,
Check the customization in SPRO  -- Materials Management -- Invoice Verification -- Logistics Invoice Verification -- Incoming Invoice --- Configure How Unplanned Delivery Costs Are Posted If you want to distibut then leave it blank. If you want to store in different GL then select 2
Secondly  while doing MIRO at header level go to details tab and maintain the unplanned delivery cost if you want to get distribute in diffferent line item

  • Freight charges in PO

We are currently on SRM_SERVER 550 on a Extended Classic Scenario.
How do we meet the below requirements.
    1. Add a freight amount automatically to the PO line item for specific vendor.  In R/3 its possible using condition records. How is it possible in SRM ?
    2. This freight amount has to be charged to another Cost Center that has been specified for Freight. How can this be done in SRM ?
    Rgrds,
    Sohail

    HI Shivanesh,
You will first have tio initialise the Freight charges from Administration  - System initialisation - Document settings Below you will have to tick the box 'Manage Freight n Documents' . having Done this you will have to go into Administartion - Definitions -General and freight where you can define all teh trypes of freight applicable.
Have defined this these will appear automatically in the Documents.

  • Freight charges in PO at header level

    Hi Friends,
I have created a PO having 10 line items. I dont have individual freight charges for each line item.I have total freight charges for the whole PO. I have defines a freight charge at header level.I want the system should devide the whole freight charges among the line items as per the value. But when I enter any value in the header freight condition type, its simply multiplying the freight by 10. The system is not dividing the freight charges amonth the line items as per their valuation.
Please guide me and suggest how to do the settings in customization so that system should divide the freight charges as per line item value.
    Thanks & Regards
    Satya

    HI,
Go to M/06.select the frieght condition type and tick the group condition indicator and Group condition routine as 1 Overall document .and then enter condition value at header level in PO.
    reward if helpful.

  • Mr8m with freight charges maintain

    Hi,
i have done miro for a PO with an freight charge included /maintain in the PO condition.
    the entry after miro is
    - AP
    + GR/IR acnt
    + Freight acnt
Now am trying to reverse/cancel the miro
    but am having error message.
"invoice document XXXXX cannot be proceed furhter"
..we do not have GR process and were using ecc6
is there any special process to cancel this?
    thanks in advance.

Probably the invoice is already cleared by payment run, then you cannot cancel the invoice using MR8M. Only option is to post a credit memo manually referring to the same PO item and the invoice.
You can easily find out whether an MM invoice is paid or not by going to the vendor line details of the corresponding FI invoice. If you find a clearing document number there, then it is paid, if that field is blank then payment is yet to be done.

  • How to close Automatic PO freight charges

Since there are Shipment Cost Module implemented, there are automatic PO created called  "automatic PO generation for freight charges". These POs has no GR perform. Kindly please advise on how to handle it otherwise the POs will kept always open.
Below is the flow of the whole scenario :
    1. SO creation (va01) using XXXX order type with the respective sales area
    2. OD creation (VL01n)
    3. Shipment number creation (vt01n) and include the above OD
    4. Shipment cost creation (VI01)
    5. Once the above is created, each line item in the shipment cost document will auto generate a PO. Note : E.g : freight charges is a line item in the shipment document and in the scheduled background Automatic PO generation for freight charges generated.

I think you are using service PO (Item Catogery D)
By default setting in SAP , Delivery complete indicator will not occur in service PO,
Check in field selection status definition via IMG ---> Material Management ---> Purchasing ---> Purchase Order -> Define Screen Layout at Document Level)----Select Field Selection Key "PT9F"  , Select the Gr/IR control and then check the delivery completion indicator (Optional Entry).

  • Freight Charges Treatment

    Hi All
We have recently implemented MM module and there is one scenario that the freight charges only will be paid to different vendor than the original vendor.
Because the company wants to pay only transpotation charges to other vendor and rest of the invoice amount has to be paid to the vendor name mentioned in the PO.
How do I treat this scenario and is there any configuration setting needs to do for this case?
What are the G/L accounts needs to involve in this case and how many G/L needs to create new if required?
I request you to all please kindly provide your values.
    Regards,
    Ran.

    HI,
    1. Create a PO. here we while we create a PO. we go to condition tab in the item details and then select the Frieght condition and click on the details icon below where we can give the frieght vendor.and then we save the PO.
    2. Create the GR.
    3. While create a invoice the first we select the Planned delivery costs on the right and side and input the PO number we can notice that the vendor of the frieght is displayed with only the frieght amount. First we settle this. The we once again do a miro with the same PO number and now we select the Goods/service item and now the system displays the goods to be settled for the goods vendor and then save.
If we want the frieght amount to fall in the seperate GL then we entry the accural keys next to the frieght condition in the pricing procedure.
For this accural keys we give the GL accounts in the SPRO so that the frieght amount goes into this account
    Thanks & regards,
    Kiran
