Freight Cost while Goods Receipt in STO

Dear Experts,
In SAP standard STO process, freight cost calculated while Material issued against STO ( 351/641 movement).
Is there any way possible to calculate the freight at the time of goods receipt instead of at the time of Goods Issue..
Thanks in Advance.

Why do you want it at the time of GR?
Anyways, you can not see or change the freight amount in MIGO. And I don't think there is any other way to post the freight amount other than 351/641 goods issue.

Can we change Freight Vendor in Goods Receipt.
Which has come from Purchase Order ??
    If yes How ?

You dont have any option to change While doing MIGO except Delivery Note, Header Text, Qty in Delivery Note Stor Locn etc.
Try to Change the Frieght Vendor in Purchase Order Change ME22N in Po Item Detail tab click on Conditions select Condition and Click on Magnifier (Item Conditions Detail) and Try to Change the Vendor before MIGO.

  • Allocate Landed Cost to Goods Receipt before Item is sold

    Hi
Our Client would like to have a prompting to remind User to allocated Landed Cost before selling the Item as Users always make mistake and sold items before allocating landed cost to Goods Receipt resulting wrong posting of accounting entries to variance accounts.

    Hi,
we are discussing this topic also here in Austria, as a customer usually ships the goods the same day when having received, and the AP Invoice is posted some days later.
Our suggestion is a batch job that is used for period closing, which checks all shipments that were made before having posted the regarding AP Invoice, to bring a control report that sums the entries according to Item "Set G/L Accounts by" and the setup of freight costs for distribution method, so that this amounts can be balanced manually (or even better automatically) within G/L from variances to the according COGS accounts.
Basically we need the distinction between preliminary costs (goods are shipped without having posted AP Invoice) and final costs (AP Invoice is posted).
For the moment only manual journal entries from G/L account variances to COGS is possible.

  • Auto goods receipt for STO

    Hi
We are creating STO without delivery. Goods issue (mvt type 351) for STO is posted via portal using BAPI.
We then want to post goods receipt for full quantity using movt type 101. Is there any std program available to be used in batch job to post goods receipts for STO? This way we will be able to do auto goods receipts.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

  • Delivery costs on Goods Receipt

I have a client requirement for delivery costs on a Goods Receipt.  They use large on-going PO's and do partial GR's on them for years.  The PO's are based on outline agreements and the pricing (including the delivery cost) comes from the outline agreement.
They want to have a flat rate delivery cost on every GR done on that PO.  I have configured a new condition type (ZRB1), copied from FRB1 and have played around with many of the settings.  No matter what I do, it still wants to prorate the delivery.
A developer looked at the Goods Receipt transactions and there does not appear to be any user exists where we can override the delivery cost calculation.
We also looked at setting up an alternate calculation type in the calculation schema for that condition type, but that does not appear to be triggered when the GR is done.
Has anyone had a similar requirement and successfully implemented a solution?

    Hi,
What is the objective for such inclusion of freight in GR.
Whether material is valuated at standard cost or MAV. If moving avg. price then u can add the frieght cost while doing MIRO also per deliver note.

  • Error while Goods receipt for rework order.

    Dear all,
I have created one Rework order through TC CO07.
While doing Goods Receipt it gives Error Msg as following.
"No valid order items exist for order 200000203"
    Message no. C6008
    Regards
    Atul

    Dear,
There is only confirmation CO11N for the rework order. And good reciept MB31 for main order.
There is no GR for rework order. Once you confirm rework order, you need to do the GR for the balance qty of  main order or parent order.
And you need to priliminary settlement of rework order first in CO8B, hence the cost will be moved to parent order, then you settle parent order in KO88.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Valuation type to pick from delivery in Goods receipt of STO

    Dear experts
In case of STO, the material is Split valuated (Say RM local & RM Import). STO is created for 1000 qty with Valuation type of RM local.
But delivery is done in 2 steps with both the valuation types (say for e.g 1st delivery with valuation type RM Import and 2nd with RM Local)
When I do the goods receipt against the Outbound delivery, in Std system, it will fetch the valuation type entered in STO (PO), but the requirement is to take from Delivery.
Please suggest Solution for this (BADI or any User exit)
    Regards
    Muthu

    Hi
The requirement is such that client does not want to split the Quantity in PO, as they don't know how much quantity will be delivered from different valuation types. So that SAP note may not be helpful
Anyway thanks a lot for your suggestion

  • Production Order Cost Analysis - Goods Receipt

I have been assigned to create analysis of production orders.  I need to show the volume variance as well as the cost variance using both the initial planned costs as well as the actual costs when the production order is completed.  All this information is available in COR3 on cost analysis, but I need to allow for display of multiple orders based on plant and date information.
I have found that the ingredients are in the table RESB with most of the information that I need, I have not had luck in finding what table has the goods receipt information (produced product).  SAP help says that the fields are in KKBCS_OUT, which is a structure that I can't find where populated from.
I would appreciate any assistance in this endeavor.
    Thanks
    Steven M Engel

Thanks for the suggestions, but they have not provided me with what I think I need to give a solution to my superiors.
I will attempt to clarify what I need to do.  We are a manufacturing facility.  We have a BOM that says to make 10 E, I need 3 A, 2 B, 3 C, and 4 D.  Each of the components (A to D) have a set cost at the time the production order is created, this looks to be saved as part of the planned cost in RESB.  Produced product E also has a planned cost at time production order created (as seen by COR3) but that is not stored in RESB.
At production time we actually use 2.5 A, 2.5 B, 3 C, and 5 D to make the 10 E.  COR3 cost analysis is showing me the cost variance.  This cost variance has two parts, part 1 is because the quantities of the inputs are different.  Part 2 is because between the time the production order was created, and the production order was finished, the costs of A to E may have changed.
I need to breakout the different components to show management how much of the total cost variance is attributed to each part.  I need a report that management can run (or have run) that will allow them choose by plant, date, end product, etc.  so they can direct what changes need to be made to costing, pricing, and BOMs.
I hope that I have laid out what I am trying to do in a coherent manner.  Also I am new to the SAP system with less than 1 year using the system.
    Thanks for your time.

  • Attach document while Goods receipt in MIGO

    Hi,
Can I attach a word or a pdf document while posting Goods receipt via MIGO.
In 'Service for Object' the option  store document is not possible. It is grey out.
Do I need to do some settings to get this option so as to upload a file while posting the GR.
I am able to get the option while create/change PO but not in MIGO.
    Regards

    Hi!
To attach business documents in MIGO you have to do a little bit customizing first...
In OAC0 check if a content repository is available.
In OAC2 enter the document type you want to attach
In OAC3 enter object type BUS2017 with your document type, content repository etc.
You can attach documents only after the posting because until then SAP has no fix document number which is the key/link to the document. So display the posted material document again and then you can attach the business document.

  • Posting to QM stock while goods receipt

    Hi
What are all the options we have to post the goods to Quality stock category at the time of goods receipt?
    I know off
    A. In material master, purchasing view - post to inspection stock is active
    B. If QM control key is active
    What are the other possibilities?
    Thanks
    RJS

    Hi,
In Material master we need to maintain "Post to inspection" and respective inspection types say for example 01 inspection type for Purchase order.
Maintain Quality inspection plan using QP01 for the respective material.
When a PO is created for the material having QM activated , in delivery tab Stock type will be automatically set as "Quality inspection". If you want to post to Quality stock without quality management activated for a material , then while doing MIGO select the stock type as "Quality inspection" in the where tab.

  • Goods Receipt against STO

    Hi,
I have created STO with one line item for 100 quantity. Issuing plant issues the goods under four different batches with different quantity under movement type 351.
Now when I do goods receipt referencing this STO, system proposes only one line item with 100 quantity and not four different line items with related quantity as per goods issue. Is there any way by which system proposes the line items as per goods issue?
If I select goods receipt referencing the  material document then above issue gets resolved, however I have to change defaulted (movement type 351, supplying plant and supplying storage location) to (movement type 101, receiving plant and receiving storage location) for each line item.
    Your valuable suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Satish

    Hi
To take care of your case follow the steps
    1) Create STO in ME21N
    2) Create delivery in VL10B
    3) Perform PGI in VL02N
    4) Create Proforma Invoice in VF01
    5) Perform GR with refrence to Outbound delivery created in step2

  • Goods receipt for STO'S

    Hi Gurus
We create STO'S ( with in same plant  and between two storage locations) and followed by delivery ,PGI with 641 movement type. When we run the MD04  list we have the open items because we haven't done the goods receipt when goods issue is done for the delivery. We have recently modified the 641 to 647 movement type and it does the GR automatically for the receiving plant.
My question is there any program to post the GR for deliveries which are open for past three months.
    Any suggestions will fully rewarded
    Thanks
    Sam

    Suresh,
As i already mention we do stock transfer with delivery and shipping between two storage locations under one plant and i do understand your point in asking this question as we have a business process set up like that and it is always begin with shopping cart in SRM (customers order through it)and followed by an STO in R/3.
I really need an answer how can i achieve that goods receipt posting for outstanding STO'S which are still in stock in transit.
    Thanks

  • Journal Entry for non-stock Item while Good Receipt PO

In accordance to Accounting Rules, the EXPENSES of non-stock item purchase should be recognize
upon Good Receipt PO, journal entry should be created at the point time of GRN instead of invoice.
We would like to see this as part of the SBO standard accounting process as it is also important for
us to make sure the the software process is comply to the Standard Accounting Rules.

    Hi Martin,
I fully agree with this requirement. In Australia, the tax Office is asking us to recognise the expense in the profit and loss at the time of receiving products or services.
With SAP Business One, receipting inventory products through the GR PO will create a simpel journal entry:
    Debit Stock
    Credit Goods Receipt Not Invoiced
In the context of non inventory items, SAP Business One should do exactly the same:
Debit Expense account of the service item
Credit the Allocation Account (GRNI or other)
Currently, we have to create a big journal entry at the end of the month to recognise the expense of services that we have received but we have not received the invoice.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me so we can discuss.
    Regards,
    Vincent Motte
