Fsck throwing up a bunch of errors with my ESP
I've had the same problem this guy seemed to have; my Arch install wouldn't be able to mount my EFI partition. All this happened after I updated a few packages yesterday: I had some kernel panic, and when I tried to fix it, I clearly messed something up, because it would refuse to mount the boot partition.
Anyway. Moving on. After I followed the advice in that thread - particularly OP's last comment, I managed to completely reconfigure the bootloader. Now, however, I get this error:

I've never seen anything quite like this, and searching Google is proving to be rather trying, as the only distinguishing feature (or so I believe) of this message is the
"." is missing
part, which I can't really type into a search engine.
Anyway. I'd appreciate all the help I can get. I'm running a dual-boot with Windows 8.1, my laptop has a UEFI motherboard. Bootloader I'm using is GRUB.
Thanks!
I tried running fsck on my ESP (/dev/sda2) after booting from a backup USB, I get the same errors. "." is missing, can't fix this yet. Interestingly, it asks me what I want to do about the differences between the boot sector and its backup - no matter what I say (replace backup, replace original, ignore), it'll point out differences again, the next time I run fsck. Strange.
Edit: If I cd into /mnt/boot/grub (from the backup USB, again), and run ls, I get this: "ls: cannot access \r\n08/11./13: No such file or directory".

You are trying to install a version of Airport Utility earlier than 6.0, correct? If so see the following: Installing the Old AirPort Utility (Version 5.6) on Mountain Lion | frank.is.

Access Violation error with Diadem 2011
I've started using Diadem 2011, and have run into an Access Violation error when loading some of my existing reports. I've created a simple example which shows what's happening:
I've created a simple Bar plot:
If I change the left hand bar to be "Filled" instead of "Right Diagonal", Diadem throws up an access violation error. I've attached the TDM and TDR files used to create the graph. The error in the log file is:
139 Error while executing "" command
Error type: ACCESS VIOLATION
Error address: 0004F5E5
Module nameIAdem.exe
Diadem: 11.0.3f4563 TDM
USI: 1.9.0f4551
DataFinder: 3.0.0f4556
(By the way, it would be great to be able to copy those version details directly from the About page!)
Attachments:
Data.zip 7 KBI've tried this as administrator, and have exactly the same issues, so it doesn't appear to be a permissions problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled DIAdem and everything's the same.
Here's another ZIP file with hopefully all of the required files. I've created the data files from scrathc several times, and see the same problem. One other thing I've just noticed is that it only occurs when filling the bars with the color Black, not blue or red or anything else.

Hi
If I run PL/SQL block
DECLARE
CURSOR C1 is SELECT CLM_CASE_NO FROM CLAIM_OBJECT.CLM_INVLVD_PRTY_T where CLM_CASE_NO=XXXX;
BEGIN
FOR X in C1 loop
INSERT INTO POSTL_ADDRS_ARCHIVE P (SELECT A.* FROM CLAIM_OBJECT.POSTL_ADDRS A, CLAIM_OBJECT.CLM_INVLVD_PRTY_T C WHERE
C.CLNT_NO = A.CLNT_NO AND C.CURR_ROW_IND='A' AND C.CLM_CASE_NO =X.CLM_CASE_NO );
end loop;
end;
there is no error with the above block
If I remove where clause in cursor and run block
DECLARE
CURSOR C1 is SELECT CLM_CASE_NO FROM CLAIM_OBJECT.CLM_INVLVD_PRTY_T;
BEGIN
FOR X in C1 loop
INSERT INTO POSTL_ADDRS_ARCHIVE P (SELECT A.* FROM CLAIM_OBJECT.POSTL_ADDRS A, CLAIM_OBJECT.CLM_INVLVD_PRTY_T C WHERE
C.CLNT_NO = A.CLNT_NO AND C.CURR_ROW_IND='A' AND C.CLM_CASE_NO =X.CLM_CASE_NO );
end loop;
end;
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation
ORA-06512: at line 12
I searched for ORA-06512
Cause:
This error message indicates the line number in the PLSQL code that the error resulted.
SELECT CLM_CASE_NO FROM CLAIM_OBJECT.CLM_INVLVD_PRTY_T has over 800,672 records.
SELECT CLM_CASE_NO FROM CLAIM_OBJECT.CLM_INVLVD_PRTY_T where CLM_CASE_NO=XXXX; has 2 records.
I am not not understanding why block 2 is throwing error (with no where clause in cursor)
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advanceAs the error message indicates clearly the process was cancelled as you pressed CTRL+C. And yes you can’t see any data you insert in one session from other session until it gets committed. And as others have mentioned row by row operation is very expensive think about revising your approach.
Instead of having a cursor why don’t you join it directly in you select in the insert statement and try?
Thanks,
Karthick.

Payment requests created from In-House Cash - error with PAYEXT IDOC
Hello -
I am getting getting a '51' error with my inboud PAYEXT IDOC and the payment request cannot be created and the IDOC error is : Error creating the payment requests - no valid payment method available.
I have checked the Route process config in IHC and it looks good (or I think so). I then checked the IHC config: Set Up of payment request for inbound IDOC in FI and am wondering about the Processing Parameters set up. In this config, I see 2 payment methods field (Payment Method for This Payment) and (List of the Payment Methods to be Considered). Can somebody tell me what's the difference between these two fields and since my payment method is not in the List of PM to be considered, could that be causing my erorr?
Any guidance would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
BeckyHi Odaiah
I am in ECC 5.0 and when I view IMG activity IHC_VC_INB_CUST, there's a field called:
Payment Method for This Payment(Payment method used to settle open items)
and another field called List of the Payment Methods to be Considered.
The invoice was paid via payment method 'W' and in our system, we are using IHC to make payments on behalf. So after running F110 for payment method 'W', the IDOC gets created and sent to IHC to process. IHC will then create the payment request (IDOC PAYEXT) which will then get process by F111. Since the IDOC is failing, the payment request is not getting created. You mentioned to get an ABAPer to throw in debug, I would love to but does not know the program that this process is running through. I tried putting it in debug from WE02 (IDOC processing) but with no success.

Bunch of errors in Windows Server 2008 R2
Hi everyone,
I've searched Technet and all the Internet for a clear solution or any clue that could help me solve this issue, but didn't manage.
Recently Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 started to frequently and spit out bunch of errors that are connected to each other in my opinion, but I have no idea what is causing them and why they started to appear so suddenly.
Those errors are (ID):
TermDD (50, 56)
Group Policy (1058, 1080, 1006, 1079, 1110)
Schannel (36888)
Sometimes also
Distributed COM (10010) and NETLOGON (5719)
In first step I did the update of the servers and disabled chimney offloading, but it didn't solve the problem. I found couple of technet's articles describing SIMILAR problems, but I have no idea if they are describing exactly what I need.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2643970/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2519736/en-us
Those servers are not our ones, but the other company that we are supporting. I'm also student and just started to gain experience with servers, so please mind that when providing any clue for which I will be extremely thankful.To be more exact I'll supply logs:

Passivation Error with 9.0.3 Release
I am getting a passivation error with the new 9.0.3 Release Jdeveloper. I have a page-by-page iteration set up and am selecting out of a table that has 9000 rows in it. When I first query the table I do not have any problems, but when I go towards the end I start throwing passivation errors. I run the following chunk of code:
DcAddressView dav = (DcAddressView)this.getDcAddressView1();
dav.setWhereClause(whereClause);
dav.setRangeSize(pageSize);
dav.setRangeStart(startPos);
Row[] rows = dav.getAllRowsInRange();
where whereClause = "1 = 1 and source_ind = '9'"; pageSize = 20; startPos = 5900
With the whereClause used there is 5948 records in the recordset. When I debug this section of code I throw an exception as I try to setRangeStart(5900) as follows:

Any help would be appreciated. BTW-- I have repeatedly deleted all bc4j tables from my database.Eric,
We're tracking this problem as Bug#2646690. Thanks for reporting it.
The problem is related to a change in the JDBC driver when the oracle.jdbc.J2EE13Compliant Java system property is set to the value true. When this flag is set to true, JDBC returns a DATE column from the database as a java.sql.Date object. When the flag is not set or set to false, it returns the java.sql.Timestamp type that it has always returned before.
The workaround until we are able to fix this on our side to work with either Timestamp or Date in our code, is to add the line:
System.setProperty("oracle.jdbc.J2EE13Compliant","false");Into the constructor of your root application module's *Impl.java class. -
Protocol violation Error with 17401 error code
Hi,
When we are trying to call stored procedure with below syntax we are getting "com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException: Protocol violation" error with error code 17401 in local IRAD application and also in deployed application of WAS.
call schemaName.truncate_table('table_name', 'DROP STORAGE')
If I comment this procedure call in the Java code and execute, then next SQL staments following this call will be executed successfully. Below are some of the trails that I have already done and getting same error
1. Dowloaded latest ojdbc.jar as per Oracle Database 10g 10.2.0.4.0 version
2. Kept the minimum number of connections value as ZERO in WAS admin.
Let me know if you know any solution for this
Thanks
BasavarajHi,
It takes around 10 seconds from the time I started this batch job
Below is the code, in the below code getStatement() method gets the SQLStatement object with below procedure call
call odsacct.truncate_table(?, 'DROP STORAGE')
SQLStatement sqlStmt = getStatement(CONFIG_FILE, DAOConstants.TRUNCATE_DATA_DEST);
CallableStatement callableStmt = null;
try {
callableStmt = conn.prepareCall(sqlStmt.getSql());
// set the in param

After Effects CC Render Errors with RED footage and ProRes 4444 proxies
Working on an 8 Core, 2008 Mac Pro with 16GB of RAM running Mountain Lion.
I just upgraded to After Effects CC and I'm having a whole bunch of errors ...
-- the 'MooV' file is damaged or unsupported
-- error getting package info for file "..." ( 3 :: 164 )
-- Error (4) reading frame from file "..." ( 86 :: 2 )
I'm trying to make ProRes 4444 proxies from RED files (sometimes as big as 4K), which will eventually end up in a 1920x1080 project. I'll make a 4444 proxy, work on it all day with no problems, then when I try to render (or save a RAM preview) any one of the previous errors will show up.
My projects seemed to work just fine fine in AE CS6, and I've worked with RED footage in AE before with little issue. I've completly restarted my system, re-installed everything, worked off an external drive, worked on my internal (software) RAID, rendered to local and external hard drives, adjusted my multiprocesser render settings (on and off), cleared the cache ... nothing is fixing it.
Does anybody else have any ideas? Or insight. Or anything?!
Thanks for your time,
EliotI'm working on a MacbookPro, Early 2013, OS X 10.8.4, and I'm having the same exact error:
However instead of using RED footage, I'm using a 3rd party plugin called Element 3D and Optical Flares from VideoCopilet.net.
I'm not sure if the bug is related, I'm just wondering if anyone else has any idea on how to fix this problem. I have a fresh install of CC so I can't downgrade to CS6.
Another error popped up during multiple trys in export:
In case the old file was actually corrupted, I checked all my backups that worked perfectly fine with CS6 in the past, and I get the same error when I copy them over to my hard drive on my mac.
My current setup is:
Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
I really don't want to recreate this entire file from scratch. That would be a lot of hours wasted... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -

I am using following OIM Software:

While accessing the GTC Manage Page, I am getting the Search button, Once I click the Search for all GTCs, It is throwing me error with "Contact Sysstem Administrator"
During the investigation, I found that I am getting the following error when I access the xlWebApp through Web:

I added the following in customResources_en.properties
global.resultSet.Form~Information.Description.create~generic~connector=create generic connector
global.resultSet.Form~Information.Description.manage~generic~connector=manage generic connector
global.resultSet.Form~Information.Description.Reset~self~password~menu~item=Reset self password menu item

global.resultSet.Form~Information.Description.Manage~generic~connector.Manage~Generic~Technology~Connector~menu~item=Manage Generic Technology Connector menu item
I am trying so many options with these two files, however the error is not changing at all. Also, do I need to add this to customDefaultResources.properties?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance. I will assign Points.

Did you read my response to you??
Yes. However, I don't believe it's an enycryption issue. It's something to do with javascript.
Regardless of what the issue is, the only (temporary) fix seems to be to use Firefox. However, I would have to agree with what Carolyn Samit said. Carolyn is a very active member here and knows a lot of things. -

Communication error with the external tax system(vertex_ms0018)
Hi All
I have installed ECC6 IDES S/W on my PC. I have activated SAP Insurance module (FS-CD). When I try to create business partner using FPP1 with US address, It is throwing error as follows:
"communication error with the external tax system(vertex_ms0018)"
I dont want to use any external Tax system like Vertex etc. because I am not calculating any taxes.
I gave correct US address with valid ZIP etc. but no use.
Please help me if any one of you has idea. How to overcome this error. How to deactivate connection to external tax system.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
GiriHi Giri,
I've notice that you took the 'V' from the configuration but you left the RFC destination.
Clearly the RFC destination is not working thus the reason you get the error (in your case, your server can't determine a valid IP address for the host iwdf8334.wdf.sap.corp).
To sort out the problem you got I can think of at least two ways:
1. Get the RFC connection working (get the correct setup for it) using transaction SM59
2. Or if you don't really need the external tax calculations, remove the RFC configuration from TAXUJ under Assign RFC Destination to Country on the Cross-Application SPRO entry.
3. You can always add TAXUS to transaction OBBG if you require it (as it comes out of the box).
This should fix the problem you are having but I'm assuming you don't need the external tax calculations.
If you do, just fix the connection using SM59 (you may want to ask for help from your Basis team if you don't know how to do it).
Cheers
