FSCM - SD  (EHP5) integration using WS-RM

Hello experts ,
We are trying to Integrate FSCM with SD in EHP5 release using WS-RM (instead of PI).We are now successfully integrate using WSRM but with a work around . Need your suggestion and few answers.
Situation :
Once we executed the VA01 transaction we were getting update termination issue . After lots of debuggung we found that system was trying to get the Business system details ( Own business system data ) . The table lcrt_clntcache had no values.
Solution
We inserted appropriate values in the Table LCRT_CLNTCACH (business system data ) and now it works .This is a work around we got as of now.Credit checks are happening successfully and also integration is good .
(typically if we define business system in SLD (PI) , and run SLD_CHECK , this table gets populated , but in our case we are not using PI instead we are using WS-RM)
But now few questions arise .
a) Why do we need a business system in case we are not using PI ( typically we define business system and technical system in PI ) and instead using WS-RM ?
b) Is it a good practice to update the table ( as did in workaround above )?
c) Is this any bug and needs to be consulted with SAP ?
Please let me know your views

Hi ,
1- "
While saving sales order i am getting pop up window to enter client, username and password to connect to application server. Is this the normal behaviour?
The reason for this behaviour: 1- there is no user and password defined while creating the logical port for the consumer or 2- the user / password specified are not authorized.
Solution : provide the user / password (WSDL access user ) for the logical port .(In SOAMANAGER).
(User here must have proper roles assigned to it).
2-
"Also sales order is being created without credit check perform. When i check prcessed xml msgs, it shows error that INTERFACE_REGISTRATION_ERROR for one of the services i have mapped in SOA."
This is interesting .I will try to help you if you can provide some more data.
Are you getting this error for the creditcommitmentnotification_out ?
can you open SPROXY and check if the message interface is green over there?
Also . have you defined a Business System in SLD and execute  SLD_CHECK?

  • SEEBURGER integration using PI: BIS, BIC, AS2 Adapter, FTP ?

    Hi All,
we are exploring on EDI project, where sap ecc is integrated with an seeburger edi partner via PI.
the integration involves: EDI ANSI X12 documents like 850, 855, and UN/EDIFACT documents like DESADV
for this while searching, i came across:
    1. the wiki content created by Prateek Raj Srivastava, http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/SeeburgerSuiteforSAPPI
    2. a presentation by sam raju http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00f9cdf5-d812-2a10-03b4-aff3bbf792bf?QuickLink=events&overridelayout=true
I was trying to find out, what all we need in PI..
in PI, what type of communication channel can be used,
can we use FTP adapter, that is comes by default in PI.
or is it necessary to buy something (adapter or content) from SEEBURGER.
after searching little more on seeburger front, got to know that there are:
    BIS (Business Integration Server)
    BIC (Business integration Converter)
    AS2 adapter.
is BIC is an adapter, that we can select as adapter type, while creating the communication channel.
the presentation by sam raju, describes "Configuring BIC as Module", if BIS is configured as a module, what is the type of communication channel in ID.
is AS2 adapter is part of BIS or BIC.
for integration using PI, out of  BIS, BIC, AS2, what all is minumum required?
what are the roles of BIS, BIC and AS2 in the context of integration using PI.
    thanks in advance.
    Madhu_1980

    >>in PI, what type of communication channel can be used,
Any. Using Seeburger Adapter for EDI communication is not mandatory.
    >>can we use FTP adapter, that is comes by default in PI.
Yes, you can use it to send even EDI files.
    >>or is it necessary to buy something (adapter or content) from SEEBURGER
To convert EDI-xml file to EDI, you have to use Seeburger BIC module which has to be purchased.
    >>is BIC is an adapter, that we can select as adapter type, while creating the communication channel.
No, it is an adapter module.
    >> BIS is configured as a module, what is the type of communication channel in ID.
Don't get confused between BIC and BIS. BIC is a module and BIS is a separate middleware provided by Seeburger just like PI. You can use BIC module in any channel which supports use of adapter module.
    >>is AS2 adapter is part of BIS or BIC.
AS2 can come with BIS middleware. It is type of adapter while BIC is module.
    >>for integration using PI, out of BIS, BIC, AS2, what all is minumum required?
For EDI communication, BIC is required (if you don't want to create your own modules). AS2 is required only when some partner demands the use of AS2 protocol for communication.
    >>what are the roles of BIS, BIC and AS2 in the context of integration using PI.
Already explained. Forget BIS when you already have PI.

  • SSIS 2012 continuous integration using msbuild

    Hi,
I have an SSIS 2012 project file *.dtproj. I want to create .ispac file from a program for continuous integration. I saw posts saying we cannot do it using msbuild. What are the other options? Has anyone used ssismsbuild (sqlsrvintegrationsrv codeplex)
I am very new to .NET and SSIS. Any example or step by step instruction to achieve this is highly appreciated.

    Saurabh,
Well it is achievable with a bit of custom code which should not be very difficult to make.
    1) Is this flow achievable using Beehiveonline ?
Yes, you can have the external users programmatically upload the content into the system and if you set up a subscription for a genric user/email it could be informed when something changes and programmatically copy it out to wherever you need it to go.
    2) How can we fetch the files from Beehiveonline directories ? Can we use generic SFTP/FTPS adapters to do so?
FTPS can be used along with the developers kit, webDAV and HTTP transfers - I have a working java FTPS programme that can be used to upload/download the files so that piece already exists.
As usual the devil will be in the detail and the flow you describe at the moment is a bit sparce on detail :-)

  • Siebel On Demand Outbound Webservice integration using bpel question

    Hello everyone,
I have a question I am hoping the forum can help me out with
I am trying to do an integration using bpel with Siebel on demand as the begining point. The bussiness case is that I want qualified leads to be extracted out of the Siebel On Demand crm to be integrated into a back end system. This is put into a queue in the integration events. I have read the forum on all the session id and intermediate java code that provides the session id. I noticed that Siebel on demand is not a webservice requestor and only a webservice provider even for outbound messages. Since bpel always needs an input of some sort how would I kick off bpel to keep checking the queue not to mention getting the session id ect?
Any help would be great :)
    Jaden

    Hi ,
An integration even is something that is configured using a workflow. Like say when a Lead field is modified of r a particular Lead this even fires and will go and reside in Integration Even Queue.
A separate bpel process is then required to read the Integration Queue (wsdl's available) and then process this even for the lead.
Regarding extraction of Leads from SOD it need to have any Inegration events. Even without this we can do it. Just make a webcall using the Lead wsdl and then process th erecords usinga while Loop stucture. You can use a DB adapter to write to the target Database tables.

  • Enforcing integrity using oracle specific data base commands .v. using fron

Full subject : Enforcing integrity using oracle specific data base commands .v. using front end.
It ought to be generally accepted that it is better to enforce integrity directly in the data base using constraints, dependencies, triggers etc rather than leaving it to specific front end programmes.
In my view, the chief advantages - of enforcing integrity directly in the data base - are:
    (1) No process can violate the integrity.
    (2) Being server centric, these commands run on the server and so can be easily sized in one place.
    (3) One time data migration (imports) into the system using Oracle tools or SQL commands would also need to conform to the integrity constraints. Thus an implementor would be assured that the basic data is alright.
I am faced with a situation where we are about to implement a new Oracle based package. During data migration, when we discovered that there are no integrity constraints built into the target data base, the package vendor asserted that it is not necessary to build in integrity into the database. This seems to be an extreme and risky view.
Further, it is argued by the package vendor that putting constraints directly in the data base would significantly increase the needed resources (RAM) on the server. In my view, this increase is trivial and anyway, hardware costs are crashing day by day.
In the absence of integrity checks in the data base, it seems to me that every program would have to extra zero value work to ensure integrity of the end user data. It will still never be complete.
I would like to know the pros and cons of implementing without integrity constraints.
    OK.

OK.It's a shame you seem to be so far into the process and committed to this vendor. I once had a vendor tell us his product would run on Oracle but they recommended MS SQL Server because "oracle can't handle more than 5 concurrent sessions." I made sure that vendor didn't make the short list.

  • E-recruiting Job Board Integration using XI

"E-recruiting Job Board Integration using XI"
    Hi
We have an SAP backend system ERP 6 complete with e-recruiting module installed. We need to integrate the Job board using XI.
Our XI system is completely basic 7.0 with NO Software Components installed - so completely bare.
Can someone help us in explaining what software components and patchlevels are needed in XI in order to get this up and running. We have followed pdf "E-recruiting Job Board Integration using XI" but this is based upon an existing working XI installation and we only have a bare one. We tried to install the ERECRUIT (600) and HR-XML (2) only, but they fail in that they are missing source structures in the mapping programs.... etc.
So what Software Components would we need to install in the repository in addition to the 2 mentioned above?
    Cheers

    Hi,
    >Our XI system is completely basic 7.0 with NO Software Components installed - so completely bare.
    two things:
    first one:
if your system has no software components than it means
the installation is not finished yet as you need at least BASIS component
(which is part of the installation steps) to have adapter metadata
    second one:
I'd realy suggest asking someone how knows XI to help you
as it seems you want to do an XI project with no XI skills - and
XI skills come in handy in such projects
(at least get a decent - full - installation)

  • Technical Article on Service-oriented Integration Using JBI Posted

I've just posted an article on the open-esb site about using JBI for what we have come to call service-oriented integration: enterprise integration atop a SOA fabric. The article includes an example of a simple adapter pattern implementation that includes message transformation and protocol hopping.
See https://open-esb.dev.java.net/ for the PDF download.

    At last!!
Finally an article about the real JBI and what JBI is all about. I don't know what's going on with people's understanding of JBI.
At JavaOne, I remember one of the expert group, from Oracle I think, proudly claiming that JBI will be one of the core architectures that companies will be delivering their integration business upon. Now I wonder where Oracle's, SAP's and IONA's contributions are so far. Oracle for example really contributed to JSR 208 by marketing and implementing SCA.
Although in early stages, I think open source implementations are missing the point as well. Using open source implementation X, I couldn't see a scenario that shows the power of the concept, while implementation Y just did not like service units, service connections and link types, then tried to invent its own configuration and routing descriptors, wasting very valuable time.
Anyway, may be one just have to wait and see!!
    Thanks Ron for such contribution.

  • Integration using PI 7.0

    Hi All,
We have an integration scenario wherein we are trying to integrate ECC 6.0 with SAP TM. The integration scenario needs ESR as SAP has standard services for this purpose. We don't have PI 7.1 so we won't be able to use the standard content given by SAP . Is there any other way by which we can achieve this integration by using the standard service implementation which is available in the SAP TM.
Any help in this area would be really helpful.
    Thanks and Regards
    Arvind

    Hi,
If you have to use SAP has standard services then have to go for PI 7.0 to use the ESR.
Else you need to use other direct alternatives such as RFCs to communciate directly with SAP Enterprise Portal TM.

    Hi,
How you want to communicate with the EDI system... If it is using AS2 adapter, then you need to purchase it from seeburger and configure it in the sender side and receiver side it'll be Idoc adapter. And in the ESR you need to import the xsd of EDI document under external definitions and map it to the idoc. Please refer the below links it may help you.

  • OBIEE/ADF Integration using the Action Framework

I would like to integrate OBIEE and ADF to achieve the following.
    1. Embed BI objects into an ADF application
    2. Pass parameter from the ADF application to the BI objects
    3. Pass context (parameters) from the BI object to the ADF components
    4. Have the BI objects call JDeveloper web services from the dashboard
    5. Other integration points to be developed in future
    6. Combine OLTP and BI data in single ADF form
    7. Source ADF BC data from OBIEE metadata layer
    8. ADF application call BI alerts, actions from ADF application
Could any one have tried to integrate OBIEE and ADF to achieve any of the above.
If so please help with your experience.
Any information given shall be highly appreciated.

you want to forward to another action without declaring that forward in the struts config? we use MVC frameworks to avoid having to write all that sort of code. what are you trying to achieve that can't be done by configuring the forward?

  • Maintaining referential integrity using MS SQL server

Some time ago I posted a question relating to the following extension:
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="jdbc-delete-action" value="null"/>
Kodo generates a "on delete set null" constraint for this, however ms sql
server does not support this. Since I don't want to matain this referential
integrity in my java code (meaning as soon as an object is deleted, setting
all references to it to null), I tried to implement a custom dictionary with
the default ms sql server solution for this problem: creating a trigger by
overriding the "getAddForeignKeySQL" method. This works fine when creating a
database from scratch using the schema tool, however, when updating an
existing databasebase schema, this is ignored, thereby not solving the
problem of having the database maintenance automated. I suppose I have to
write code for checking whether the trigger already exists. Browsing through
the code, I couldn't figure out how this is done. Can someone give me
suggestions on how to do this (and if this takes a lot of effort).
I also would like to know whether solarmetric has intentions to deal with
this problem in their framework. To be honest, I was quite surprised that
Kodo doesnt take care of this, leaving my database in an inconsistent state.
    kind regards,

    >
Well, I would say that you're the one leaving the database in an
inconsistent state by not keeping your object model consistent :)From the manual:
    6.2.2.12. jdbc-delete-action
If a field holds a relation to another object, you can use the
jdbc-delete-action field extension to control the delete action of the
database foreign key that models this relation. Possible values are:
null: Null the column(s) of this foreign key when the related record is
    deleted.
It does mean that if the primary key record is deleted, all foreign keys to
the record are set to null, right? Since the jdo framework is about database
independence, not writing sql code (and of course lots more;) and Kodo
supports ms sql server, I would have expected that kodo to set the foreign
key to null if the object is deleted. Even if I do know sql server supports
does not support a 'on delete set null' sql statement;)
    >
We have no plans to create triggers at this time.
What do you mean when you say "it is ignored" when you're updating?
Exactly what tool are you running, what actions are you running with, is
the foreign key extension present, and what is the outcome?Like I said, I wrote code in the "getAddForeignKeySQL" in the dictionary, so
a trigger is created when creating the database in the workbench (by running
the schematool). However, if the table already exists, but not the trigger,
refreshing the database from the workbench does not call the
getAddForeignKeySql to add the trigger to the table.

  • Integration using XML

    Good morning to everyone!
I am still very new to XML. Currently, I have a problem in integrating 2 different systems. In my hand , I have an asset management system that written in J2EE environment and from here I need to integrate with SAP system.
Basically, SAP people will send us their updated data in XML format into a share folder. My problem is, how do I grab their XML data in real time from this share folder and update into my system everytime my partner (SAP) update that file?
Please Help and your guidance is really appreciated by me
    -sheena-

    Hi David,
XI/PI is like any other middle ware tool you use in your organisation for interconnecting various systems. PI has several adapters which can "talk" to several systems.
An example would be JDBC adapter can "talk" to Databases with JDBC drivers.
SOAP adapter can "talk" to Webservice and JMS adapters can "talk" with Queues.
If you are looking at ways to communicate only with files, then File adapter can help you. As you said XI uses XML internally. But XI/PI is much more powerful than that. You can use it to communicate with Db/webservices/Queues/http
Hope I dint add up to your confusion.

    Jaishankar
