FTP  Adapters with same filename

Hi All,
I am trying to download a file using FTP Adapters. It is working but I wanted the filename to remain unchanged. I have gone through the tutorial and read the posts in the forum but I still couldn't hack it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
K.R.

Please put this in the XSL mapping file
<xsl:variable name="INFILENAME"
select="ehdr:getRequestHeader('/fhdr:InboundFTPHeaderType/fhdr:fileName','fhdr=http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/ftp/;')"/>
<xsl:variable name="OUTFILENAME"
select="ehdr:setOutboundHeader('/fhdr:OutboundFTPHeaderType/fhdr:fileName', concat($INFILENAME, '.pgp'), 'fhdr=http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/ftp/;')"/><xsl:template match="/">
THis can be put just after the name space declaration

  • Copy a file with same filename using XI - module experts please help!

    Guys,
    Felix Jeyareuben had an excellent blog on how to copy a binary file with XI.
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/07/15/copy-a-file-with-same-filename-using-xi
    It is a shame by the way that such a simple thing has to be this complicated in XI, but that's another question...
    So after I created the EAR file and successfully deployed the modules on our XI server, I got the following file adapter error, when I was trying to use it:
    Sender Adapter v2727 for Party '', Service 'BS_TA_XI_DEV':
    Configured at 2006-11-30 14:04:15 EST
    History:

    - 2006-11-30 14:10:00 EST: Processing started
    Can you give me any clues what could have gone wrong?
    This is the first module I deployed so I might have messed up something simple, but I cannot figure this out.
    Also how can I debug this?
    Your help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks a lot,

    Do it like in the mentioned blog, but don't do any mapping. That will be fine.

    Check your EAR if there are any libs from the adapter framework and delete them if necessary.
    After deployment check in your visual administrator if your EAR is available.

  • Bridge CS4 won't output to pdf multiple images with same filename

    Hiya...my googling efforts have thus far failed!
    I've got CS4, and in Bridge, I created a New Smart Collection to find all filenames in a folder containing "." or ".jpg" - which in turn searched through all the subfolders like what you used to be able to do in Photoshop CS3.  Very simple stuff, but all the images are jpg's, but in multiple folders (I don't want to move them out of the folders, as the files came from an external source, and there are heaps of folders, and I don't want to pdf each subfolder seperately as it will take forever).
    The problem is that some of the files have the same filenames (again I'd prefer not to rename, as it happens a lot on this project, and they are all over the place).  So whilst Bridge will show the thumbnail images correctly in the content tabbed screen in my New Smart Collection, but once I've done the Output to PDF thing, for example, instead of showing both different images it has pdf only the first image but repeated it twice.  And this happens multiple times throughout the pdf, the more times the same filename is used, the more times the first image gets repeated.
    I know that it is messy to have multiple similar filenames, but why can't bridge just place the image anyway?  It allocated a space for it on the pdf and does show it in bridge, it just doesn't seem to survive the transfer to pdf well.
    The only other thing that I have done is use the below link (which was posted on another adobe forum thread) to create a custom pdf output template (nothing too fancy, just number of rows / columns, size, font etc).  But I've tried using the standard bridge templates and it does the same thing.
    http://www.proficiografik.com/2009/08/03/save-custom-pdf-output-template-in-adobe-bridge-c s4.html
    Any help would be appreciated...even if to tell me that I am being unreasonable!
    UPDATE 16/11/09
    Just to let you know that I seem to have resolved the bug inadvertently with one of the Adobe updates. The below is the link for the AdobeOutputModule-2.1-mul-AdobeUpdate.zip which was released on 2/19/2009 - which allows for headers & footers to be placed in the Ouput pdf. I finally installed it today, and everything seems to be working fine now (i.e. I can pdf multiple images with the same filenames and the pdf will actually show each different image rather than repeating only 1 of the images).
    Must have been a fix installed in the contact sheet templates that get installed with the update - not sure why the original version was corrupted, but I've left that with the Adobe guys (I submitted a bug report - and they were able to replicate the problem but hadn't fixed it as yet).

    When I click import from disc I am asked to choose a disc and then I get this message:
    The following photos will not be imported because they are already present in the catalog. To see these photos in the catalog select 'Show in Library' (the import will be canceled).
    This is followed by a long list of images. If I click 'Show in Library' I can see all the images with the same filename. And then they start to automatically write over those images with images from the disc. However they keep the same metadata and keywords from the previous images. If I click on Import and deselect the "don't reimport suspected duplicates" box, it imports only the images that don't share filenames and none of the images that do.
    Is there a way of setting the "Don't reimport suspected duplicates" box in preferences?

  • Multiple images with same filename

    I have a very large library of images on DVD and I want to make a database of the entire library in Lightroom. I do not rename my images from my camera so it's not uncommon for me to have multiple images on different discs with the same filename. I'm finding when I try to import these images into lightroom they write over the existing images that share the filename. Is there a way to work around this? I assumed the different EXIF data would be enough for the program to realize that it was dealing with two different images, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
    In a possibly related issue, I've found some images that have the wrong filename in lightroom (different from the filename on the original disc). What's up with that?
    I've been working for weeks trying to create this database. It's huge already and I've barely scratched the surface of my entire collection. Currently I'm over 22,000 images and I suspect I'll be over 300,000 when all is said and done. I need to resolve this or all those hours of work will have been for naught. Help!
    Thanks,
    Steven

  • Picking files from FTP server with dynamic Filename.

    Hello Experts,
    I want to pick some files from a FTP server in a File to Idoc scenario. The files in the Ftp Server are created with the filenames as timestamp of the file when it was created. How do I pick up these files?
    Thanks,
    Merrilly

    Hi,
    The above masking concept (*.txt, . etc) will be applicable for the files with NFS only,
    See the below link to apply it
    /people/mickael.huchet/blog/2006/09/18/xipi-how-to-exclude-files-in-a-sender-file-adapter
    The below link will help you to build up the adapter module to read the dynamic file name

  • Multiple images with same filename-how does iphoto deal?

    I recently lost a several pictures from iphoto on my imac running snow leopard. I have tried multiple things with the guidance of a senior advisor from apple, but the pictures are not retrievable. I have multiple backups for many, but I lost about 20 images. Naturally, I am a bit paranoid now about the stability of the remaining photos in my 66gb library, so have made multiple backups of the entire library and plan to migrate to aperture 3 with a vault.
    It just struck me though, that because we use multiple cameras with the same canon file naming scheme, I have several instances where I have multiple photos with the same filename. Is this potentially a problem, or because the EXIF info is different for each one, am I okay? If this is a problem, do any of you have any remedies? I plan on adjusting the naming scheme on our cameras for the future.
    Thanks in advance!

    To add to Terence's reply: the only time you might run into a problem is when you might try exporting photos with the same file name to the same folder on the HD. If that were they case you could batch rename the photo's titles with Photos->Batch Change->Titles to Text with the option to add a sequential number at the end of the file name, i.e. Text - 001.jpg, etc.
    Another alternative would be to upload each new shoot to a folder on the desktop and rename them with a renaming app likeName Mangler or Renamer4Mac . I rename them with the date taken and a brief description: 2009-05-10-MomsDayBalboaPark-001.JPG. You also could add an identifier to the description to tell which camera it came from.
    This method will avoid any name conflict down the line and make it easy to identify photos as to their general content when used outside of iPhoto. I've found that a little extra effort up front has saved me a lot of problems on down the line.

    The same filename isn't an issue, and no, it won't consider them duplicates, unless you try importing them into the same project.

  • SAP PI ftp FIle transfer one to one with the same filename

    Hello all,
    maybe sombody ask the same in this forum, but couldn't find any topic regarding these.
    Okay:
    We have a scenario which have to pick up a txt file from a folder and to deliver to another folder
    outside. The file transfer itselfs isn't a problem and works propertly, but we need the same file-
    name for the outgoing file. Unfortunaltey we have huge different filenames..
    So, my question would be, what for possiblities we have to sure, that if we can deliver the
    file which the same filename as we have in the orginal (source) filefolder.
    e.g. file named in source called TEST.123 in the destination should be also TEST.123.
    The next file called TEST123.abc should be also in the destination TEST123.abc.
    Thanks

    Hi friends.
    I don't know about if you need still any help. But i think it will be useful for another people who have encountered that problem and looking for the solution.
    The solution is pretty simple for case if you are going to some file by scenario FTP - to - FTP without interface mapping. I was able to create simple example ant put it on my site to let you use the portable short instruction with screen shots and highlighted marks that help you understand it more clear. Indeed you don't need any udf if you wish to repeat that example in your real scenario. Link is HERE
    Shortly you have to do the next:
    1) for the sender adapter in tab "Advanced" switch on the check-box "Set Adapter Specific Attributes" and check that "File name" is switched on as well.
    2) for the receiver adapter you have to repeat step 1 as well. Plus you have to change setting on the tab "Processing". On that tab you need to change "File Construction Mode" into "Create" and than you have to switch on the check box named as "Overwrite Existing File".
    That's it.
    Thank you, i hope that is help.
    Sincerely, LukCAD.

  • FTP-Sender Adapter ignores files with "known filenames"

    Hello experts,
    the scenario is FTP -> XI -> IDOC and we have problems with the polling of the files. In communication channel monitoring everything is working fine, but in the FTP folder some files are ignored, although the communication channel is set up for all *.txt-files.
    My question is, is it possible that the FTP sender adapter ignores files, if it already has processed a file with the same filename? After renaming the files they all were picked up and archived into another folder. How can I configure the communication channel to pick up ALL *.txt-files in the out-folder?
    Best regards
    David

    Hi David,
    What I have observed is, XI always reads files in a certain order (possibly alphabetical or reverse alphabetical). If it finds a file in the source directory that already exists in the archive directory, it will not attempt to read/process the next file (even if the next filename is completely new).
    So, if any of the files in the source directory exist in the archive directory, there is a possibility that certain files may get processed and certain wont.
    Make sure that none of the files that you put in source directory exist in the archive directory (i.e. all the files are new) and see the output. Let me know if this helps.
    PS: I used FTP protocol

  • File receiver adapter with the same filename than sender

    Hi guys,
    I am experiencing a problem when I use the <b>Adapter Specific Message Properties</b> to be able to receive a file with the same name as the sender.
    I've been following the example of Michal Krawczyk (XI: The same filename from a sender to a receiver file adapter - SP14) but i get a problem  related with the content converter parameters.
    The error I receice in the File  Adapter is the next:
    <i>Could not process due to error: java.lang.Exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters!</i>
    I have been trying to do all the combinations with the content conversion parameters but the result is allways the same, MORE FIELDS FOUND IN XML ....
    My XML structure is the next:
    <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
       <lines>
          <line>
             <header/>    1..1
             <data/>       0...unbound
          </line>
       </lines>
    </ns0:MT_MDFranceN>
    In the header I write the name of the file with the code provided by SAP and Michal, so the name of the file is stored there.
    any help?
    Thanks!!!!!

    I have changed the XML because, as you said, there is no need to introduce the filename inside the payload. Now the  structure is the next:
    <i><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
       <lines>
          <line>
             <data/>
          </line>
       </lines>
    </ns0:MT_MDFranceN></i>
    Record Structure: lines,line
    line.addHeaderLine   0
    line.endSeparator     'nl'
    lines.fieldSeparator   'nl'
    line.fieldFixedLengths  1300
    A sample of the payload is the next:
    - <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
    - <lines>
    - <line>
      <data>EDI_DC40_U5300000</data>
      <data>E2HR_HD001 530000000000007802</data>
      <data>E2HR_KY001 530000000000101TS 20070104000010 20070129</data>
    000000601</data>
      </line>
      </lines>
      </ns0:MT_MDFranceN>
    And.....   I still have the same problem, the same message in the file adapter:
    <b> 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters</b>
    Any idea of what can be the problem?
    thank you very much!!!

  • Tif files will not import with the same filenames as the .nef files

    When I work on a .nef file, say x.nef, Lightroom 1.0 will allow me to export the x.nef as x.tif to the same folder as the x.nef file resides, but obviously I need to import the x.tif file into the folder for it to show up in LR When I try to import the x.tif file into LR it shows up the the file list OK. When select it and try to import it I get a message telling me that I can't import it as the file x.nef already exists. I didn't select x.nef but x.tif. It will allow me to import it into a different folder, but that is not what I want to do. i need the keep the relevant net and tif files with the same name in the same folder.
    Adobe tech. support suggested; reinstalling, trashing the LR preferences folder, making new databases. None of these solved the problem. In LR beta 4 I could save import tif files with the same file name the .nef with no problem, but not in LR1.0.
    Using Win XP Pro SP2. Pentium P4 3.0 with 2gig ram.
    Has anyone else had this problem. Any assistance appreciated.

    I agree (Adobe) that first the concept that michael.nef and michael.tif and michael.jpg are different files needs to be changed.
    A duplicate is a file that has the same filename and extension and the same content measurements.
    Under the above concept or any concept, ignore duplicates should bring in any file to LR with the same name (contents and measurements) and different extensions.
    I do edit in NEF (more now if I use LR instead of PSE5), do save to PSD, and do save to L/F JPG. If I had to layer in PSD, then I use that for printing, otherwise LR. I always have to make large jpgs to upload to web printing sites, and even small jpgs (now we have the same name and extension (but the measurements would be different) to email. Yes, we do keep copies of an image. I can see where I might want to have the edited .NEF and the PSD in the lib to view, cuz they may have different edits on them.

  • Same filename from a sender to receiver :: DO we really need UDF ?

    Hi
    This is in refrence of Weblog " <i>same filename from a sender to a receiver file adapter "</i> by <i>Michal Krawczyk</i>.
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    Actually I worked on another weblog by " <i>Shabarish Vijayakumar</i> "-->
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/04/03/xi-in-the-role-of-a-ftp
    And I am getting file created on the receiver side with the same file name as on the sender side without using the user-defined function mentioned in Michal's weblog.
    Now my question do we really need UDF for same file name when on the sender we are polling for one file only by its name.
    I am not exaclty getting the benefit of this feature. Can you tell me why do we need this feature as in whatever scenarios I worked I mentioned the file names in both Sender & Receiver File Adapters.
    So I am not getting what is the use of using this UDF, when we mention the name of file needs to be created on Receiver side.

    Hi
    I put this code for UDF -->
    <i>String valueNew;
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String valueOld = conf.get(key);
    if (valueOld != null)
        valueNew = valueOld.replaceAll("input123",name);
        conf.put(key, valueNew);
    return valueNew;</i>
    Signature of UDF is this :: <u>public String GetFileName(String name,Container container)</u>
    But when I am testing this UDF, I am getting following RunTime exception -->
    <i>Runtime exception during processing target field mapping /ns0:FileFTP_InOut_MT/File_nm. • How to read a ftp file with a specified file name in Proxy-XI-File scenario

    Dear all,
    I have the following requirement:
    The end user send a request via the proxy to XI, within the request parameters there is a file name, and the XI need to retrieve the file content from a ftp server with this specified file name, how can I achieve this?
    According to my understanding, the file receiver adapter can only write the files to the server.
    Thanks and regards,
    Bean

    Dear Bean,
    This can be achieved using a BPM...
    you will have to use Two parallel receive steps within a fork...
    1. 1st receive step :This will bring the data from the proxy
    2. 2nd receive step :according to pipeline step before this step would be executed interface determination would be called withini that you can put a mapping wherin the source and target message type would be as follows
    a. source message type ; the file structure that is going to be picked from ftp structure
    b.target message type : same structure as source except at top you will add "filename" field
    (you cna find on forum how we can get a fielname in the mapping ..in case you dont knw )
    3. now you can define correlation on the field "fielname" in both the receive steps provide the hirearchy and structure of data coming from both file and procy are same...
    4..  after corelation you can put any steps like transformation ( as you want)
    Hope this helps

  • How to send File with Same name to Receiver

    HI Frnds,
    In my peoject i have one scenario,
    I have to access Orders is the name of file , available in FTP Server, i have to send same file to Receiver side with same name Orders
    Is it possible with same name dynamically??
    Regards,

    hi,
    You have to go for variable substitution option available in receiver file adapter,but for that you have to get the file name in receiver payload.

  • Automator and applescript to copy new files in a folder with same name as parent folder

    I have an iMac with a pictures folder (Finder folder) containing several subfolders with pictures. As per now, all these subfolders are imported into an iPhoto library (and the structure of the Finder pictures folder is thus maintained: The iPhoto events are named the same as the Finder subfolder). I.e. I have not created any albums in iPhoto.
    I have also set up a workflow, where new iPhone photos are automatically being synced to specified Finder folders within the iMac pictures folder. So what I want to do is to make a workflow to import potential new photos from week to week into the existing iPhoto structure. I know iPhoto has this Autoimport folder, so this one is unpacked and "mapped". So, this is what I´m hoping to do:
    Automator (iCal - want to do this on a weekly basis):
    - Get specified Finder items -- set to target folder = iMac pictures folder
    - Get folder content (with subfolders)
    - Filter Finder items
         - Items from the last 7 days (which then would be any new files created last week)
    - Applescript/shell script loop(?)
         - Get folder name for each file´s (from previous step) parent folder
         - Create new folder with same name as the file´s parent folder (if not already existing) under the iPhoto Autoimport folder
         - Copy the given file into the folder from above
    - Run iPhoto application (Automator task), which then should just auto import the new photos according to the Finder folder structure
    Whith the workflow above, I aim to maintain the existing iPhoto structure, and just import new photos into the existing structure. Creating folder names under the Autoimport, similar as the existing Finder folder names / iPhoto events should make it possible to have the new files imported under the existing event, right?

    Anyone?
    I have now switched to Aperture (from iPhoto) due to Aperture´s capability to handle Finder folder structure, and due to the possibility of having the pictures within Aperture as referenced files to the pictures within the Finder folders (i.e. possibility to delete pictures from both library and Finder folder at the same time).
    So I have a superior Finder folder called "Album". Within "Album" I have several subfolders (sub albums) containing pictures. The "Album" folder with subfolders are imported into Aperture as "Projects and albums", and the pictures are uploaded within the Aperture structure as referenced files. So for now the Aperture structure is more or less a direct mirror of the Finder folder structure, whereas "Album" is the project.
    And this is my current workflow in Automator, but I´m searching help with my Applescript:
    - Get specified Finder items (target folder = the superior Finder folder "Album")
    - Get Folder content
    - Filter Finder items (to look for potential new files to import into Aperture)
         - Kind is not folder
         - Date created last X days
