    Result for ftp://192.168.1.102 works.
    May i know which of the setting did i missed out.
    Thanks a lot.
    Cheers

    Did you tried to assign static IP (ex. 192.168.1.10) to the computer on which you want to setup ftp server? And then forward the ports for this ip address on the router. Dont assign ip address which is in the DHCP range of the router. Try doing forwarding first and if it doesnt work then go for triggering.

  • WTR600N FTP server failing

    I have a WRT600N with the latest firmware installed (1.01.36 build 3).  I am having a lot of stability problems with using the FTP server.  I have a Seagate FreeAgent Pro 1TB external HD plugged in via USB.  I plugged in the drive went through all of the setup on the router and enabled FTP access.  It works fine for 1-3 hours and then starts rejecting my connections.  Has anyone experienced this and found a fix to make connections more stable?  This happens both wen connected from the LAN and WAN sides of the router.
    Thanks in advance,
    John

    Have you tried using a smaller HD?
    I read that WTR600N only supports up to 760gb

  • The Server failed to retrieve the requested data

    I used to be able to open this site with firefox. I haven't been able to open it for 2 days. It does open in internet explorer.

    This appears to be an error message which has it roots in MS DTC, Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator.
    This indicates that you somewhere manage to get a distributed transaction. This could be because of two things:
    1) There are triggers on the tables that accesses linked server.
    2) Your client code dabbles with some transaction class, like TransactionScope or similar.

    This looks like FTPS which is not supported on the ASA. You can workaround it by trying to connect using Active mode from the outside instead of PSV.

  • Distribution Point Configuration Status - Warning - Failed to retrieve the package list on the DP.

    Hi,
    Some of our DP's have a warning (Shown with a yellow exclamation mark) that never goes away. I have run a script on the DP's that could check for inconsistency in WMI, but it found nothing. Everything seems to work fine, but it is annoying that everything
    is not green when it should be!
    The warning is:
    Failed to retrieve package list on the distribution point. Or the package list in content library doesn't match the one in WMI. Review smsdpmon.log for more information about this failure.

    Yes I have tried to validate all content to no avail. ;(

  • Port Mapping Filezilla FTP Server

    I just got a new AirPort Extreme Base Station (802.11n). I must say, I'm pleased for the most part. I'm having an issue with remotely connecting to my FTP server inside the network though.
    Setup:
    The whole this is connected as follows:
    Cable Modem - AEBS - Wired Windows PC
    On this windows PC I run an FTP & HTTP server. Both are functioning properly as they always have, both on the localhost and within the network.
    The HTTP protocol is working fine. I have port 80 mapped to my PC's static IP of 10.0.1.100. I can browse my hosted site from a remote PC no problem.
    Yet, from a remote PC I am unable to fully establish FTP communication. I have port 21 mapped to my PC's static IP as well. Communication seems to be happening; the remote PC gets prompted for their username and password. Shortly after (within a timeout time), the FTP server replies that it cannout open the data channel.
    Data:
    Here is the Remote PC's log of the FTP session:
    Status: Connecting to $server.com ...
    Status: Connected with $server.com. Waiting for welcome message...
    Response: 220 $greeting

    Command: LIST
    Response: 425 Can't open data connection.
    Error: Could not retrieve directory listing
    Solutions Attempts:
    I have tried mapping the FTP data port (20) to the server's static IP to no avail. I even went as far as setting the server as the default host (DMZ); this didn't work either.
    Am I looking at a fresh firmware bug here or am I missing anything? Thanks for your help.
    P.S. No changes have been made on the server and every other no name router I've used has successfully port mapped the server; it's definitely the new hardware.
    Windows PC Windows XP Pro
    Windows PC   Windows XP Pro

    1. Try to connect to your FTP-Server in AKTIVE-Mode,
    it's a setting in your FTP-Client
    Most all FTP clients are defaulted to passive mode, and I want to connect without asking all users to change their settings.
    Previous routers did not require anything like this, why would this new base station obfuscate the setup?
    2. Don't use the same AirportXtrem internet
    connection (for testing your FTP-Service) where is
    your FTP-Server behind. I don't know why, when I try
    to establish a connection I could not go out and come
    back through my AXtrem on the same way.
    Try it with a Modem, UMTS or with another internet
    connection.
    I don't know exactly what you're talking about. Please explain better or with more details.

  • Directory Listing from Web

    Hi All,
    I am trying to populate a menu with a list of PDF files from
    a particular folder. I've got this working perfectly for a local
    path using the FileXtra4 xtra, but I'm stumped with getting a
    folder from the web. I've tried the Buddy Web xtra, but it returns
    an empty list when I use:
    fileList = bwFileList("
    http://www.awebsite.com/stuff/",
    Maybe I could embed a Flash Movie and have Flash pass the
    list to Director?
    I'm using Director and Flash MX 2004
    Any help much appreciated
    Thanks guys,

    Hi,
    I'm not sure about Buddy Web xtra (I've not used it), but you
    have a couple of other options:
    1. Use the excellent free and for absolutely no sane reason
    depreciated MultiUSer Xtra to create a network connection with an
    ftp server and use standard ftp commands to get a directory
    listing. see
    http://www.lingoworkshop.com/Testzone/FTP_Client_Test.php
    2. Use getNetText to ask a server-script to return the list
    of files. This is probably the safest but is dependent on the
    server (example php script attached).

  • FTP only connects to users directory

    I am setting up a server for web, mail and ftp. When logging on with ftp I only get a directory listing of my home folder. I have set "authenticated users see" to FTP root. I have set the root to /Volumes/SecondDrive. I set the drive to be shared, but the contents of the drive aren't displayed, just my home folder.
    Thanks

    So what was the reason?

  • Help required in connecting to Implicit SSL FTP server

    Hi,
    I am working on a scenario of File to Idoc.
    Here the File server (FTP server) is using the Implicit SSL protocol which is not supported by PI.
    Hence, we thought of using the scripts for this.
    Using Script we will move the file from the FTP server to the PI directory & then using NFS protocol in channel, PI will read the file.
    Here my query is, is it possible to go for such a design in case of Implicit SSL?
    If yes, please let me know how it can be achieved.
    I am referring the below blog of writing the scripts in case of SSH protocol:
    /people/daniel.graversen/blog/2008/12/11/sftp-with-pi-the-openssh-way
    Please let me know if any such blog/material is available for Implicit SSL protocol as well.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    -Supriya.

    have you tried calling from ABAP ?
    Connect FTP Server through R/3
    There is something called SAP cryptographic kit which you need to install ,please check this link I am not sure
    File has to pass through FTPS connection.. Connection parameters?
    Port for Implicit SSL is 990

  • FTP server: PORT command not supported??

    Hi,
    In a nutshell - we are trying to set up PASV -- PORT connection between a Tiger server (10.4.11) and another system (say it's a windows FTP server). Issuing a PORT command to a Tiger FTP server fails with this error:
    -> PORT 192,168,11,3,199,158
    <- 500 Invalid PORT command
    I have done some research on the web and as far as I can see - this is just a feature that is disabled in Mac OS X ftp server.
    What's strange is that "features" command states that PORT is supported.
    Has anyone seen PORT command work for a Tiger Server ftp daemon?
    Has anyone succeeded enabling this command on a Tiger server?
    Can you recommend another FTP server that works well on a Tiger server?
    Thanks a million,
    Darius

    Passive (PASV) and Port (PORT) mechanisms are orthagonal.
    If you're working with PORT, then you're almost certainly trying to clear through one or more firewalls. And a firewall can also trigger the Illegal Port Command error for a PORT command.
    (Though I don't see a PORT command in the Mac OS X ftp client. I've checked a couple of clients, and it isn't common to expose it.)
    ftp is a mess. Insecure, difficult to configure, insecure, firewall unfriendly, insecure, and slow. And did I mention insecure?
    (No, I'm not a big fan of ftp.)
    Some reading material:
    http://www.cert.org/techtips/ftp_portattacks.html
    http://www.slacksite.com/other/ftp.html
    http://cr.yp.to/ftp/security.html
    As for a suggestion, chuck ftp and switch to sftp.

  • FTP server - hide share points?

    10.5 Server, relatively minor issue.
    FTP is set up, with the intent of having a single FTP repository for outside folks to access. I've set up a local user account with no home folder. FTP Server setting is "Home directory only."
    When the FTP user logs in, they go to the proper directory (the FTP root), with full access to that directory.
    The minor issue is that the FTP user see the names of (as folders) for other server shares. They can't access those shares so it's not the end of the world ("permission denied"). It however makes me nervous that some other unintended change should allow users into the other shares. I'd rather not show them at all.
    It appears the server daemon adds these aliases/hard links to the FTP directory itself. I can delete them, but they're recreated by the server.
    I gave the ftp user a home directory matching the FTP root, and I get the same results.
    What I'd like is a drop into the FTP root, without even seeing the existence of other shares.
    Any way to do this?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Did you guys find out a way to do this under 10.5.x...?
    I presume that we need to manipulate the files here:
    /Library/ftpserver/Configuration
    I guess there is some "mask" or way to do this.
    I'm using PureFTP on my other Xserve, running 10.4.x, ... however the pain there is that you have to manually create user/pass for each user. At least this way you don't have to worry about setting up extra stuff.
    I'd also like a way to be able to setup my Admin FTP account, so that it has "/" root access, even though the default is to show them only their Home Folders.
    Anyone cracked this..?
    Cheers,
    Steve

  • Get directory listing or files contained in a folder which is placed on a s

    Hello,
    I want to get the directory listing of a particular folder say 'xyz' which is placed on the server.
    I am using tomcat. I want to use Http to do it. How do it do it.
    Please guide.
    Regards,
    JAVA_student

    JAVA_student ,
    as pointed out file list is (in productional environments) usually turned off for security reasons.
    But I had a similiar requirement to the one you posted. I had a directory with thousands of image files with the name pattern <id>.jpg and the id's stored in a database. Not for every id in the database there existed a file. I wanted to show an image or in case the image file did not exist a default jpg. I could not set the error pages in web.xml to do it.
    So I had to take the id (a parameter in the request to the servlet I wrote for that), had to concat it with the 'virtual' directory name used in the applicationserver for the img directory. Then I had to check the existance of the file and to load it it and display it, if it existed otherwise I had to load and display the default picture.
    The problem is similiar to yours as the problem basically is to map a directory in a web application to a real directory in a filesystem (which works for files and directories.
    The answer is use getRealPath(String) of the ServletContext-object.
    Note: This only allows access to files and directories in the web application.
    e.g.
    http://www.theserver.com/mywebapp/img/ is a folder containing img files. The server does not allow directory listing.
    In a jsp within the application mywebapp you want to show a list of the files in /mywebapp/img/ .
    <HTML>
    <BODY>
    <%
    // in a jsp application gives you access to the context
    String sRealPath = application.getRealPath("/img") ;
    java.io.File fDir = new java.io.File(sRealPath) ;
    java.io.File[] allFiles = fDir.listFiles() ;
    for (int i = 0 ; i < allFiles.length;i++) {
       String sName = allFiles.getName() ;
    %>
    <%=sName%><br>
    <%
    %>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>

  • Failure to install SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU8/9 with a "Failed to retrieve data for this request." error

    Hi all,
    Has anyone come across SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU8/9 failing to install with a “Failed to retrieve data for this request.” error.
    The error is too generic for a useful search on web, for me at least anyway.
    Had no problems patching a whole bunch of other servers in the same environment.
    I’m no good at reading these error logs. For some reason the primary replica is referenced in the detailed log???
    The CU8/9 patch has been run by both Domain Admins and local Admin with no luck.
    We are trying to patch a secondary failover replica. (SharePoint 2013 is installed on this server.)

    Hello SQL Ranger,
    Thanks for posting the detailed log. I dont have exact solution for this but I can give you some hint what could be reason patch has failed below message points to fact that there is some issue with account which is used to install CU patch.Have alook at
    below log.It says that when patch was trying to get details from other node in cluster it was not able to.
    01) 2014-04-10 11:51:33 Slp: Discovery on local machine is complete

    IMO I strongly feel it is issue with the account. Microsoft has also documented about this for SQL Server 2008 .Have a look at following links
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2000257
    Please also assign privilege mentioned in below link
    http://www.bradg.co.za/?p=12
    Hope this helps
