  • Can't get iPad to play iTunes Library from LaCie Fuel

    Hi All,
First time poster here so I hope I'm posting in the right section!
I bought a Lacie Fuel specifically for my husband to be able to access our iTunes library when he's off working at remote sites for weeks on end. I followed all the instructions on how to copy the library to the drive and install the Seagate media app on the iPad. The app recognises the library and all the media files - even the artwork - but when we go to play something, it opens a internet browser screen, says it's loading then just comes up with a grey strip across the screen and a 'play' arrow... however it will not play no matter what you do from this point.
IVe spoken extensively with LaCie support and they've exhausted all their options in trying to assist me. They eventually told me to speak to Apple as they can only assume it's an iTunes/iTunes Store permissions issue. Apple fobbed me off saying it's not their hardware so not their problem.
Apparently this device works fine for 'everyone' else!
    So the facts are as below;
    * any file that is in the library but not bought from the iTunes Store plays through the iPad fine.
    * I ensured I copied the entire iTunes library and all associated files across to the LaCie Fuel - I.e: not just the actual movies and TV files themselves. I was careful about this as I'm gathering the permissions would be tied into files associated with the library somehow?
    * my iTunes Library is stored on an external hard drive but still works fine through iTunes on the Mac Desktop and our various Apple TV's.
    * the Mac desktop is running OSX 10.9.5 and iPad mini (brand new as of a month ago) is running the latest software. iTunes is 12.1.0.50. The Seagate App is also the latest version.
Has anyone else had the problem? I'm so frustrated at having spent so much money on this - and disappointed my husband so much as it was the perfect solution for him - only to be unable to get it to work!

Unfortunately I don't have first hand experience with the Lacie device but reading your question you said you installed the Seagate media app. I checked the App Store and there is also a LaCie app by Seagate. Check also the link below. I,m going to ask the hosts to move your question to the iPad Forum, hopefully someone has an answer for you.

  • Batch management separately for packaging / fuel material

    Hi experts,
to be very clear , batch management is activated for all type of materials like raw material and finished goods.
For packaging material and fuel material i didnt activate batch management.
my issue is to maintain batch for packaging and fuel material with batch no. separately.
if any customization or through any exits / badi ?
i also maintain for stock at  batch level .
    regards
    dks

    Hi,
If batch is not activated for Material type packaging / fuel material...and stock /PO/GRN/IV exists for those material, then its impossible to to acitivate batches for those materials whose stock /PO/GRN/IV exists ...
If you want to maintain batches for these material types then you have to reverse all documents and you have to clear all stocks, which will be tedious job.
Better from future when ever you create new material for those material types, then activate the batch management check box.

  • How to adjust photo to detect oil or fuel leak?

I'm wondering if there is any way to use a picture of an engine, where I suspect a leak is coming from, to detect fuel or oil.
Is there a way to adjust the settings of a picture in Photoshop, to bring out or highlight, residue of fuel or oil?
I know that mechanics will use some sort of UV dye to put into your fuel or oil system, and then use a black light to detect where the dye has leaked into and around the engine compartment.
    Thanks for any feedback.

I answered my own question, or actually Gary from macmost.com answered it.
    http://macmost.com/editing-audio-in-imovie-11.html
You turn on the filmstrip and then click the audio button.  Select the clip in the audio strip at the bottom and move the horizontal line up or down.

  • Can I use this - Horizon MiniPak Portable Fuel Cell Charger - to charge my iPad or will my warrantee be voided?

Can I use an Horizon MINIPAK Fuel Cell Charger to charge my iPad or will that make my warrantee void?

Look for a charger that specifically mentions the iPad in its compatibility. For example, I have a Zagg Sparq, which will charge iPads, iPhones or iPods...it's a charger that you can plug in that's also a battery that holds a charge.
Many of those 'use a battery to charge your cellphone' won't really work on the iPad. They're serving appetizers and the iPad demands a full meal

  • Rebranding a fuel material

    Scenario
When rebranding a fuel material to or from SLOP, the counter posting of the excise duty posting goes entirely to the provincial account, whereas it should be split amongst the federal and provincial.
When we convert to slop difference between federal and provincial taxes between material converted to and converted from is posted to one account instead of being split to two different accounts.
    IS that true?
Standard SAP is not having capability to post the respective differences to respective accounts; it posts to one account only needing reconciliation in the end. A development may be needed to provide this functionality to you.
We need to decide this on basis on number of transactions comprising conversions to slop
IF not what will be the Solution -

for accountability and quality inspection , batch has no relevance.
But if need for tracability and track ofcource it has. create batch per tank (one option manually ).
batch means things in a packet , you can issue in packets , suppose 500 litre in packet means u can issue 500 L maximun from packet A ,
dnt think batch req for for a these kinda consumables
    cheers

  • Operation wise fuel consumption details.

    Dears,
How can we get the operation wise raw material consumption details. For example in an order I am having 5 operations. Each operation requires some fuel consumption. Fuel is my BOM component. I need to issue the quantity of fuel for each operation. Again in the report also... I need the details of fuel consumption operation wise. How can we divide the total quantity of fuel to different routing operations. one way is I can maintain different line items in BOM. Is there any other way of doing it? How can get it in report?
    Regards,
    Surya.

    Hi,
I don't think so that there is such report which will give you operation wise consumption but you can make that fuel consumption as a activity type in ur standard value key and make some std value to put it in the routing, then if you go for operation wise confirmation then in that screen you will be able to put the consumption details in it.
you can take a report of that also in COOIS.
order wise consumption you can get from order report itself
reward poits if you find it useful.

    Hi Ankit,
If your quantity depends on your material movement type, then you can create a condition in Calculated Keyfig / Formula.
That means as per your situation if the material movement type is 101 then quantity is incoming(+) and if the material movement type is 120 then outgoing(-).This can be done if the material movement type is fixed.
Correct the logic if it is not right.

    Hi,
I don't think so that there is such report which will give you operation wise consumption but you can make that fuel consumption as a activity type in ur standard value key and make some std value to put it in the routing, then if you go for operation wise confirmation then in that screen you will be able to put the consumption details in it.
you can take a report of that also in COOIS.
order wise consumption you can get from order report itself
reward poits if you find it useful.

  • Fuel Management Requirement

We have a requirement for Fuel Management to be implemented in our company. Our company has various locations and each location is considered as a job. Fuel is received in each job in bulk and then distributed to vehicles and equipments through mobile tankers. We have to keep a track of the fuel consumption for each job. Also keep a track of the efficiencies of each vehicle and equipment.
I would like to know is there is any module in the EBS where the above can be implemented.

  • How best to implement a standard fuel surcharge on all orders?

Due to the rising cost of fuel, our company is considering applying a small standard fuel surcharge to all orders, irrespective of destination, route or order value.
What do you consider the most efficient way to be of applying this and what configuration is needed for your suggested solution?
Thank you for your answers. Points will be posted.

It would be a fixed percent (say 2.50%) on the sale value.  So what you can do the following:-
    a)  Create a condition type in V/06 with both Condition Class and Calculation type as "A". Maintain some access sequence for this condition type.
    b)  In V/07, for this access sequence, maintain the required combination for which you want to maintain condition record
    c)  Assign this condition type to your pricing procedure V/08
    d)  Next maintain the required percent in VK11 for this condition type
    e)  Now create a sale order and see how it works.

  • Business One for Fuel Marketing and Transportation

I have a prospect who requires a system to handle marketing and transportation of petroleum based fuels.  Has anyone dealt with this scenario before?

It turns out this company is not doing true fuel "transportation" via pipeline.  They are simply trucking their product, so this should be a simple distribution situation.

  • Fuel condition

    hi all.
i have a n issue in 3.1 system:  we have third party order.as per the customised process the fuel surchage condition is calculated on the bases of gross weight .as per our 3rd party order we not have shippment ,vendor directly delivery good to customer so, the fuel surchage condtion should be 0 as per the existing functionality.
now my problem is some odrders created by user calculate this value .but as per fuctionality it should not for 3 rd party.
i simulate the scenarion in quality and its not calculate shows 0 amount. that is working fine as per fuctionality.
so, i am not able to under stand why and how system calculate this valve for some of the prders.
    kindly suggest.
    thanks,
    in advance.

  • Business Process of Fuel Procurement

    Hi experts,
I have a special procurement case,
    1.  an airline company has to purchase several amount of fuel to be supplied to its aircrafts, but the vendor hasn't defined the price yet.
Question: Is there any way to keep purchasing fuel without waiting for vendor price?
    2.  an airline company had already purchased several amount of fuel for several days in SAP MM, but then the vendor changed the price including the preceding days.
Question: Should we reverse GR and then change PO price to fix this problem? Isn't there any solution for this back-date pricing case?
    Thanks

  • IS-OIL and suitability for Fuel Distribution and Retail Organisation

    Hi Folks,
We have a client who is engaged in the distribution of oil and gas (eg. Forecourt Operations, Home Heating etc). They are considering implementing an SAP ERP system but would like to know if IS-OIL is suitable.  In particular, can it be integrated with Point of Sale terminals in the forecourt, and is it suitable for the retail side of operations (ie. Selling additional products from the forecourt - eg groceries etc).
Also, is it possible for an organisation to implement both IS-OIL and IS-RETAIL together?  If so, does anyone have any experience or examples of where this was done?
    Thanks and regards,
    Jules

    Hello Jules,
IS-OIL has an addon product called Service station retailing which deals with retail business on oil in petro stations. This can be integrated with forecourt systems.Example, the sales flow, the physical stock at service station etc can be sent periodically from point of sale system to R/3.
Service station retailing deals with the retailing of bulk materials like fuel. A provision was made so that IS-Retail data will flow to the IS-OIL system. Depending on whether it is dealer owned or company owned, it can be further handled.
But with ERP 6.0 release, you can turn on two industry solution switches i.e both IS-OIL and IS-Retail. This is being tested now.

    Soumya
