Full version turned to tryout! WTF!

My full version of CS6 just turned into tryout after asking me to login, wtf is going on...im paid up too!
i cant call because theres a 1.5hr wait time!!!!!

Ok this was very strange i had to relogin and then it rconfigured that it was registered...ive never seen the creative cloud do that before. Whats going on? i hope i wasnt re-charged a fee!

    The email problem is on your end. Some email clients just don't work with the forum.
    We needed to know if you purchased a perpetual license, or a subscription to the Creative Cloud. It sounds like you bought a perpetual license. Did you register the software when you installed it? Did you enter the serial number during installation? Did you try to move the software from another computer?
    Have you ever had any CS5 programs? Did you uninstall them? If so, did you do it before or after installing CS6?
    Have you tried simply registering again at the prompt (and are you sure it is asking you to register, rather than activate)?

    I purchased Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium, but it was the Windows version I needed the Mac. I was sent a new Mac serial number, and the Adobe representative said I could download free trial and put in serial number to make it full version, but i cant figure out how.

    When you proceed to install the software, it will prompt you to enter the serial number to continue with the installation.
    If you have already installed the software then whenever you first launch the software, a window would come up indicating the no. of days left for trial usage along with a dialog box to enter the serial number to activate.
    You can also launch the application and navigate to 'Help' menu and select 'Activate'. The activation screen would come up seeking the serial number from you. Enter the serial number and the trial would be converted to full version.

  • Converting PM from trial to full version

    I had asked in another thread whether I could download and install the current tryout version of PM, and then use my old serial number from a PM 7 upgrade I had registered with Adobe back in 2002.  I was under the impression this process would work for InDesign, or at least since ID required "activation," but PM dates to another era and my memory is not that good.  No one answered, so I went ahead and installed the Tryout, and can now report that the Tryout version does not allow conversion to the full version by adding a valid serial number; in fact, the Tryout installs itself in a special Tryout folder, suggesting that it expects to be un-installed before the full version is installed.
    I kept searching through old stuff  and eventually turned up my original PM 7.0 CD -- an upgrade -- but not the carton it came in.  I uninstalled the tryout, installed PM7.0, and found that because it was an upgrade I needed a valid serial number from an earlier PM.  The only serial number on Adobe's cardboard sleeve for my PM6.5 Plus was for the bundled Photoshop, but having registered my purchase with Adobe I could still retrieve the number, a string of 15 digits.  PM 7 upgrade rejected this, as well as the 15-digit serial number for PM5 (not to mention the PS serial number from my PM6.5 CD).
    I had done a cautious un-install of the tryout: when the un-install process said there were elements that might possibly be shared with other programs, I let it preserve those lest I disrupt the CS2 software I still use occasionally.  After my valid serial numbers were rejected, I threw caution to the wind and re-installed the tryout so I could zap it completely.  Not surprisingly, the re-installed tryout found traces of its previous incarnation, reporting I had just 7 days remaining in my 30-day trial (I thought I'd started the day with 8).  I un-installed again, this time telling it to take everything.  I then tried installing my PM7 upgrade again, and this time it accepted  the serial number from my PM5 carton: the same 15 digits preserved in Adobe's registration, but this time broken up by hyphens, NN-NNNN-NNNNNNNNN.  I think I had tried the hyphen-less version first, and thus that the hyphens made the difference, though they key may have been the complete un-install.
    A quick test of suggests IDCS2 is happy as ever on my XP machine.  Perhaps I should add that I have carefully avoided upgrading the OS to XP SP3, dimly recalling that SP3 can complicate ID's ability to read PM files.  For what its worth, I turned up the box for my Mac PM6 which shows the serial number as a single string of 14 alphanumerics, two of which are letters.

    InDesign CS2 will not be able to open PM files on XP SP3, Vista, or Win 7.

  • Lightroom: upgrade from trial to full version, how to enter license key?

    I installed Lightroom from Creative Cloud (CC) trial on Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit. The version is LR 5.6. I do not want CC, so I purchased the full version of LR on DVD. I was going to reinstall LR from the DVD, but see that it is only version 5.2. I have already done a fair amount of work with the trial LR 5.6 and am worried about losing the catalog that I have created.
    So I thought I could apply the full version license key to the trial install, but there is no place to do that within LR. When I bring up the CC master application it shows that I have 5 days left with LR, but still has no way to apply a license key.
    I had a very long and frustrating chat session with tech support. In the end I was advised to uninstall the trial, then install the full version. I might be able to download LR 5.6 full and simply install that.
    So let me summarize my questions:
    Is there any way to apply the license key for standalone full version of LR to the trial version that was installed using CC?
    If I uninstall trial version, will I be able to install LR 5.6 download and apply license key?
    If I cannot install from download and instead have to install from purchased DVD, will version 5.2 be able to import the existing catalog? Will subsequent upgrade(s) to 5.6 go smoothly?
    What about the catalog? Will the existing catalog simply be found during a new installation? Or do I have to manually import?
    I've found the community help in the LR forum to be very good - and that is why I am abandoning ACDSee after many years Thank you all for your help.

    You should just uninstall what you have installed for LR 5.x, now, then download and install the LR 5.6 update from the Adobe Updates page, and enter your standalone serial number, and things should pick up where you left off. 
    You might want to go into LR’s preferences (if LR is still opening for you) and see where the catalog (.lrcat) file actually resides on your computer in case you have a problem and have to double-click on that .lrcat file to open your catalog, but my experience is that nothing will seem different after you’ve installed the new version other than the version number will be newer.  The preferences, catalog, and pictures are somewhere different than where the program is installed so uninstalling and reinstalling shouldn’t affect any of it.

    FYI, the CC-LR is licensed by logging into CC, the standalone version is licensed by entering a serial number.  That is why you have to uninstall the CC_licensed version and install the non-CC-licensed version.
    It also probably wouldn’t mess anything up to install LR 5.2 from the DVD, but then you’d have to turn around and immediately download the LR 5.6 update, anyway, and it would waste time, so why not start with the latest update.  The update is a fully function program, not a patch to an existing program.  It’ll either find your existing licensing information if you’ve already entered the serial number or ask for a serial number if it doesn’t find anything—which sounds like your situation.

    I have installed and setup the TN Windows 8.1 Enterprise RTM‏ evaluation and will now proceed to purchase a full version via our home working business portal. Do I have to do a fresh install with the full version and then re-install all drivers etc
    or is there a way to run a repair install using the full version and keeping the files/drivers etc? Or can I use my licence key to turn the evaluation into a full version

    It is possible to install the "new" OS over the other one, it requires some changes in the csversion.ini though, but it's possible.
    I allways recomend doing a fresh install since the chanses for corrupt drivers and system files are quite high.
    So if you have the possibility, I would backup all files and do a fresh install, then copy the backed up files back to it's original location.
    !!!The following part is not supported by Microsoft or any one else and it might ressult in disaster!!!
    On the DVD or ISO, there is a file called csversion.ini.
    This file tells which minimum version that can be uppgraded when booting the ISO.
    So if you change the values under [Host Build] to 7100.0 instead of the original values, you are able to upgrade your OS.
    But as I've mentioned, this is not supported in any way and might ressult in disaster!

  • Updating from trial to Full version, can't get rid of Trial Overlay on the Video.

    Hey guys,
    I just bought the Premier Elements 11 full version and installed it. I had made a video on the trial, and was hoping that when I opened that in the full version, the overlay that says "Created with Adobe Premiere Elements" that hangs out there for the whole video would disappear. Is that not the case?? Is there anything I can do to the file what will get rid of that...or do I simply have to re-make my video??

    Thanks for the follow up information on what you observed trying to get rid of the Premiere Elements 10 tryout watermark in the project.prel from that 10 version in the purchased Premiere Elements 11. You say that the watermark was not removed automatically by the purchased Premiere Elements 11. I had never heard "automatic" to be the case until I tried this myself with Premiere Elements 11, not 10, tryout and then the purchased Premiere Elements 11. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the Premiere Elements 10 tryout to make a comparative test between

    But I have seen my observation verified independantly by at least one other.
    But there are a lots of things here that SG and Adobe need to help us clarify.
    a. Can you really remove the watermark from the Timeline once exported as a file (.mov, .avi, etc) from the tryout or is he and Adobe referring to removing the watermark on files still within the project.prel file.
    b. Classically SG has said to go Timeline Menu/Deleted All Rendered Files as the route in the project.prel of a purchased version to get rid of the watermarked video still within the project.prel from the tryout. The Rendered files are .avi files for SD project and .mpeg for HD project. It is my understanding that there is a fundamental difference between "Rendered Files" and "Conformed Video" files, the latter typically having the file extension of .mcdb. So, when SG says
    "You delete the Media Cache by going to the Preferences (under the Edit menu on a PC) and, on the Media page, clicking the Clean button.
    That should get rid of all of your render files -- and the watermarked video along with them."
    I would ask him to revisit that statement. If you are doing anything with that directive, you are deleting conformed video files that are found in Local Disk C\Users\owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Database Folder. That information is clearly available in the Media Cache Database dialog in that Common Folder. The "Rendered Files" are still alive and well with their companion .xmp files in the Adobe Folder (default Documents\Adobe\Premiere Elements). This is true for Premiere Elements 11 and 10 Windows 7 64 bit.
    I do not see where the question that started this thread has really been answered. And the latest SG comment forces to ask for a clarification on that.

  • How do i remove the watermark created in Premiere Elements 12 now that I have full version?

    I have upgraded to Premiere Elements 12 full version, but still have a watermark across the video I created in Trial version. I went into the "Timeline" menu ad delted rendered Files, as was recommended to me, but the watermark is still there. How do I remove this??

    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Background information for now. Is it fully activated so that you are not getting Buy or Continue Tryout every time you open the program?
    What are you trying to remove the Adobe watermark from - a project file (project.prel) from the tryout or an export from the tryout?
    You cannot remove the Adobe watermark from an export from the tryout, be the export an export to a file saved to the computer hard drive or a burn to disc.
    You should be able to remove the Adobe watermark from a project file (project.prel) created in the tryout by opening that project.prel in the purchased product and then the Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files. Some of us have found that just opening the tryout project file in the purchased product automatically removes the Adobe watermark.
    Please give us more details on your situation.

  • Downloaded FULL version but still asked for previous serial number as if it were an upgrade.

    So I received the serial number for the standalone version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 Student and Teacher edition that I purchased from the Adobe online store.  After it downloaded I received a serial number.  When I installed the software and attempted to activate it using the provided serial number the pop-up box stated that the number I provided was for an upgrade version and that I needed to provide the serial number from the previous install; something that I do not have because I have never owned Lightroom before.
    Before you start, I was very careful in selecting the FULL version, please see the attached image of the shopping cart which clearly indicates that I have purchased the full version.  Further the email with the serial number gave no indication that I have purchased the upgrade version.
    So my question is, how do I get a non-upgrade serial number that will work with the software that I have installed??

    Here are the steps that I followed to purchase a full version of the software but for which I received an upgrade only serial #.
    1) Logged into my Adobe ID account and sought out "Products: For Education Customers" by clicking the link products link at the bottom of my account summary page.  This resulted in my being directed to the following URL:

    2) Press the BUY link beside the Lightroom for Students and Teachers Edition. Please note - THERE IS NO INDICATION THAT THIS IS AN UPGRADE VERSION.  Clicking the link results in the following URL:

    The only thing that changed is that the buy icon changed to an "Add to Cart" icon.
    Here's the screen shot.  Notice that it still says Products: For Education Customers at the top and there is no mention of this being an upgrade version.
    3) Press the "Add to Cart" icon. Which loads a new page.  Here's the URL:

    Please notice the price.  It will become relevant when you read the chat that I had with "customer service" last night.  Also, once again, absolutely no indication that this is an upgrade version.     4) Proceed to Checkout.  After providing my Adobe ID and password again I was directed to this URL:

    A second email with somewhat different formatting but with the same details was received immediately following the one quoted above.
    6) Followed the instructions provided in this message and then installed Lightroom and entered the serial number provided above once the software launched.  The pop-up box then informed me that I had been provided with an upgrade serial number and that the serial number from my previous purchase of Lightroom was needed.  This was the first indication that I had not been provided with the product that I thought I had purchased.
    7) That's when the nightmare that Adobe calls customer service began.  Here's the transcript of the 30 minute entirely useless chat I had yesterday.

  • Can't play full versions of my songs on itunes any more!

    I want to play the tunes I have purchased but only the preview versions of about one minute long will play. Can't get to play the full version of any of my songs! Not used itunes for a while but I do have the latest version. In 'help' it said: select an item and click the play button. That's what I'm doing but only get a small clip of each song! What am I doing wrong?! Please help!

    Can you see the files that were uploaded from your work computer on your home PC?
    You say that 200+ songs were uploaded from your work computer. Were these the only songs on the computer, or did some not upload?
    Are you saying that you had about 200 songs on your work computer before turning on Match, and the library still only shows those songs?
    If the answer to the last question is yes, the obvious next question is, are you sure you used the same ID on both computers? You haven't signed up twice with different ID's have you?

    sounds weird but, i used to be able to do it. now i cant.
    i had installed this app on my N82 about 3 months ago. since then i have reseted my phone several times and hadnt redownload the app. I downldoad the app today and im seems the version has changed,which means no more tricks:'( . The "trick" i used to do is; add one contact at first. Then turn off the service aod add more contacts. Turn on the service and thats it! Unfortunately, this doesnot work anymore.

    I hope I can put my Sharepoint2010 issue here - a more appropriate forum, I have not been found
    It turns out as it had to come ... "The test period for this product has expired."
    Can the trial into a full version (license and media are now available) to convert (something I really want to wg. Not the beta stage of the trial) to convert?
    Or someone has a link where the migration of a test sharepoint described?
    Or you can extend the trial period anyway, so the SP can be transferred manually to the new one?
    Unfortunately, some of his colleagues was the beta Sharepoint used as a real and we do not get to the discarded structures / documents ...
    I should know, do not you - you know anyway advice?

    Do you mean Microsoft Sharepoint2010? then you must serach the microsoft site not SAP.

  • Purchased a Trial Version of FormsCentral, then purchased the full Version, will it affect my forms?

    I am just making sure that it will not affect my forms once the trial version expires (i turned off auto renewal).  I did purchase the full version for 14.99 a month and kept that on auto renewal, so as of right now if you look at my services it says I have 2 products, one trial version and one full version. Once the trial expires, do I just wait until the full version auto renews? I dont think I should have any issues with my forms or anything but just want to make sure ahead of time, so I do not loose all the work I put into making these forms.  Thank you

    I'm a little confused buy the "says I have 2 products" part but assuming the AdobeID (email address used for the account) is the same for both instances of the paid subscription then you should be OK.  You will not lose any forms, nothing would be deleted, but if something does go funny with the "upgrade" and your account is ever not behaving like a paid account let me know and I will make sure it gets straightened out.

    I have a trial version of LR 4.2.  It is set to expire.  I have purchased the full version & installed it.  However, everytime I open the app, I get the trial version screen & have to re-enter my SN.  I have a lot of work on the go with this app & do not want to lose it.  I have also registered this product.
    I have tried chat help, they direct me to phone support.
    Phone support said wait time fop 18-25 mins...I have been on hold for almost 2 hours now!  This is crazy... As a paying customer I would expect better support...

    You might also try starting the program using "administrator" or "system" login privileges - and seeing if the serial number will "stick" that way, as a workaround (depending on the OS you are using).
    Difficulty registering a license, often turns out to be a user rights issue in my experience. There are some license records buried in the system, inaccessible to the normal user login, which will persist regardless of uninstalling the software... which is how (for example) LR can prevent you from running further trial periods for a given version. Removing the software will not clear these records under any login, and there is no way to stop a new installation from referring to them if present. But with system privileges it should be possible to correct and update them to include your purchased license. This should then apply for all user logins. 
    Once you are up and running, you can maybe think about resolving the root cause at more leisure, ready for the future upgrade version. On Windows, that might be a registry permissions fix... but on MacOS, I don't have the faintest idea.

    Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
    Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
    Partition and Format the hard drive:
    1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
                if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
    This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer.
    If your computer did not come with Lion or later pre-installed then do the following:
    Clean Install of Snow Leopard
    Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
    the drive and everything on it.
         1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
             with your computer.  Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
             After the chime press and hold down the  "C" key.  Release the key when you see
             a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
         2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
             button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
             After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
             size.)  Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.  Set the number of
             partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
             and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
             (Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
         3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed
             with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
         4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
             Assistant. Be sure you configure your initial admin account with the exact same
             username and password that you used on your old drive. After you finish Setup
             Assistant will complete the installation after which you will be running a fresh
             install of OS X.  You can now begin the update process by opening Software
             Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your installation current.
    Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
