You can use the SSL feature of the Oracle Advanced Security option to secure communications between any client and any server. Specifically, you can use SSL to authenticate: Any client or server to one or more Oracle servers
A certificate ensures that the entity's identity information is correct and that the public key actually belongs to that entity. A certificate is created when an entity's public key is signed by a trusted identity, that is, a certificate authority (CA), described more fully in this section.
A certificate contains the entity's name, public key, serial number, and expiration date.
I am trying to extract the entity's name.
Note: Java has the ability. It uses a package called "java.security.cert.X509Certificate". The "getIssuerDN" method gets the issuer (issuer distinguished name) value from the certificate.

Just curious ... if you already have a generic FM extractor then just go into it and find out where it is reading the data from. If its reading data from the CRM system then thre is no need for any BW adapter ... just in case you need any ABAP help ... post here ... I may be of use to you.

Please have a look on CDHDR AND CDPOS tables... it contains changed data... but all chages are not being tracked using it..

Function Module to find out the release value in contract

Dear All,
I have to upload the contract with new accoutn assignment without changing the existing contract. For that i have to download all the existing contract data with value.
In that case i have some issues regarding the value.
For example : In the system old contract is created with value 1000 and the released value as 500.
In that case i have to uload the new contract with all the details of existing contract with value of 500 (1000-500=500).
How can i get the value (500) and from which table.Is there any functional module to find out the release value in contract.

You need to link the table VBFA and VBAK.
For a contract you can check all the subsequent document (which you can filter whether you want to see Order / delivery / Billing) in VBFA and then from there pick the subsequent document no. and then from VBAK you can pick the Net value of these subsequent documents, and so you will have both the values (value of Contract and value in subsequent document) and you can determine the balance value.

"Place in" function in Bridge greyed out, after uninstalling previous version of CC.

I recently updated to the CC 2014 version of the apps. After that I removed the previous versions of Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
Now the 'Place In" function in Bridge is greyed out. I tried restoring File associations, re-installing Bridge etc... but nothing worked. It's still unavailable.
Is there any way I can link Bridge with the 2014 apps again so I can use the 'place in' function again?

There are 2 startup scripts in Bridge: "Adobe Bridge CC" script & "Auto Collection Scripts CC 2014". When I click 'reveal all my startup scripts' I get an empty folder.
I also tried resetting my preferences but that didn't help. The 'Place in...' function is still greyed out.
I also had to manually set all the file associations with my apps because bridge always tried to open the previous versions from Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC etc...
(in fact...If I reset the file associations, bridge defaults back to the previous versions for all apps... and then I have to change it again to the CC 2014 version)
It's as if Bridge doesn't know I have the CC 2014 version and can't communicate with it.

structure doesnot hold any data. instead of it you can check the stucture in which table it is used, find the table name,use select query to extract the data u needed.
you can use where used list option to find the structure in which table it is used.

Someone please tell me the name of table in R/3 from which to extract usernames (usernames should be unique key)?

In BPS0.
You must have user name in the dimention of the transactional cube.
Bring user name to the level.
In the area, make a exit variable with user name. and use this in the level.
In the layout, keep this in the header. When the layout is open, you will see the user name getting filled by the system.
Use the following code for this:
DATA: USER LIKE SY-UNAME,
CHARSEL TYPE UPC_YS_CHARSEL..
CLEAR CHARSEL..
USER = SY-UNAME..
CHARSEL-CHANM = I_CHANM. .

Menu Insert Function is often Greyed out

New user of numbers and Forum. Have searched this to no avail sorry if inappropriate post.
Insert>Function submenu is greyed out under all circumstances other than when a blank cell is selected (not even an "=" allowed). This makes it very tedious to construct longer formulars with >1 function in them (ie. most formulars!). Is there something I am missing? This is User friendly software gone too far, not friendly.
In particular I want to use Insert>Functions>More Functions... inside a formular as I am still migrating from Excel and iWorks memories.

With iWork you got three PDF Users Guides which are also for you.
On page 26 of the English one dedicated to Numbers you would find useful explanations.
You are right, the Insert functions menu item is often greyed but the efficient way to insert a function is not this one.
