  • Business Content for Funds Management and Purchase Orders

    Dear all
Our controlling department asks me to have SAP Funds Management and Purchase Order reporting in BW and thus BO. SAP standard report FMRP_RFFMAV01X shows pretty much what they would like to see: Distributable Budget by Funds Center and how it got spent by the Purchase Orders.
I tried to find what SAP BI content can offer. I found for example DSO 0BBP_PO in the "Enterprise Buyer" BI content, but this only shows purchase orders. On the other hand, cube 0PU_C02 shows funds line items, but nowhere a reference to the Purchase orders.
Could anyone advise if there is something in the BI content combining FM and PO?
thanks a million for your help
    Josef

    Hi Josef,
The Functional cosultants in the Team should be able to answer this as to how the integration has been done and the respective tables.
In case there is no STD datasources then you can build a view of Generic Datasource based on the Tables Recommended by the FC Team.
Also check how Fundcentre is mapped in MM module, like it may be same as Profit centre or Plant.
In that case get both the data in BW and build a MP/IS and report for both the KPIs...Amount Alloted and Amount Spent ,if drill down is require then show the POs.

  • PSM-FM-Reversal of funds management document after change in acc.assignment

Good day we recently went live with a component of Funds Management i.e. Availability Control on Cost centers and cost elements. We update BCS with the plan values and actual/commitment items in Finance/CO. We do our planning in CO.
    The solution is working reasonably well but we have encountered a problem for which we are unable to find a solution. The problem is best illustrated with an example;
    1. Create purchase requisition with Account Assignment Category "K" = Cost Center with transaction ME51N
    2. Account assignment = cost center and cost element. A funds management document is created upon saving of the transaction.
    3. Purchase Req. is released with a release strategy (transaction ME54N)
    4. After purchase requisition release the account assignment for the cost element is changed by the user. This occurs sometimes during the execution of the business process.
    5. When a purchase order is created with reference to this purchase requisition with transaction ME59N  the system references the original funds management document which means when the account assignment was changed the funds management document was not reversed and a new funds management document created for the changed account assignment.
    6. The BUDCON report transaction FMRP_RW_BUDCON thus displays the commitment under the incorrect commitment item as the change in account assignment is not reflected in Funds Management. We have a one to one relationship between cost elements/commitment items and cost centers/funds centers as per the derivation strategy.
    My question is;
Is this normal standard SAP standard behavior or are we missing some configuration that will enable the creation of a new funds management document and if so where do we configure such?  I must mention our solution is completely SAP standard.
    Thank you in advance.

Hi Mike, nice to meet you.
I think u should do an entire test with TRACE on, and u will find the problem, and how to fix it (at FMDERIVE of course).
First: Have a look at note [666322|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/666322], go to FMDERIVE and turn ON the trace.
Then, run all the process ... from ME51N to the end...
I agree with Eli, u must allow overwriting of existing values at FMDERIVE rule...

  • Down payment in fund management

    Hi,
When i am posting a down payment in reference to purchase order, budget is carried back by system automatically which was committed at the time of creation of Purchase Order. It may lead to actual procurement exceeding the budget as budget is reduces.
    For example:
Purchase Order created - 100 USD (Budget is committed by 100 USD)
Down payment created against PO - 100 USD (Budget commited by purchase order is carried back automatically)
It means another PO can be created for for 100 USD till the time down payment is not cleared.
Can anybody guide me to stop reversal of budget commitment at down payment.
Further, standard update profile 350 is used where down payment & down payment request are marked as 'Statistical Update'. SAP version is ECC 604.
    Thanks
    Manish

    Hi Mar,
I had seen this SAP note before posting thread.
I have some doubts in regard to implementing above note which are as follows:
    1. In update profile Down payment request & Down payment is marked for statistical update then why it is impacting funds
    2. SAP Note says that it is a modification & SAP will withdraw support after implementation of note. What are the changes take place once note is implemented:
          a. Whether I would not be able to make down payment against purchase order line item?
          b. If i can not make payment then this note is of no use as i want to track down payment against purchase order.
          c. If i can make the down payment against purchase order, will it not impact purchase order history?
                                                                                    OR
          d. this change will only impact fund management & down payment document will not impact fund management
    Thanks

  • Fund Management - Issues in Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

    Hello,
We are upgrading SAP Application for a client who is on 4.6C to ECC6. The client is currently using Funds Management in 4.6C. With ECC6 I understand that this functionality is moved into Public Sector and is available only on activation of IS-PS Extension Set.
The question I have is that does this activation impact any other business processes or is just a technical activation.
What I mean is that if I activate this extension set does the system start doing things differently and needs specific data related to Public Sector which the business users will be required to be entered while doing transactions OR the activation will not impact business processes as such and would work as earlier with Funds management active. (except where there was a change in the functionality between 4.6C to ECC6)
I would like to know the risks, if any involved in upgrading Funds Management from 4.6C to ECC6.
Please reply and let me know any question to get more clarity on the issue.
    Best Regards
    Kuldeep

    Hi Kuldeep,
There are several main issues that have to be addresses when upgrading from 4.6 to ECC6. The main ones are:
1 - Derivations. The object are no longer connected through tables or master data entries (you may have a table that links Cost Centers to Funds Centers for example). These assignments are now maintained through a flexible derivation tool. These derivation rules have to be maintaind, or the posting addresses will have no FM values and you will not be able to post any documents.
2 - Inventory purchases. The inventory purchases scenarios are no longer maintained through the customization (you can no longer choose one of the 4 inventory scenarios, and there's no warehouse Funds Center). These are all maintained through derivations.
3 - BCS. There's a new budgeting and AVC tool called "Budget Control System" (BCS). You can either activate it, or keep working with the old budgeting (called "former" in the customization). The new BCS affords flexibility in budgeting and AVC, including several AVC ledgers.
More data regarding migrations can be found in documentation. If you want, I can send you the PDF document.

  • Mass Write Off - When Funds Management is active

    Hi All,
I am working for ISU project and  we have a business requirment to do Mass Write Off. We are not able to do it as Funds Management is active.
We had  to activate Funds management as we need to send fund related information to Peoplesoft, which is the reporting engine for the client.
    We are  encountering this error:
    Write-off over several fiscal years
    Message no. FKKFMCHK038
    Diagnosis
You are posting a document similar to a write-off that writes off documents from several fiscal years. This is not possible with the transaction used if Funds Management is active.
If anyone can throw some light on how to slove this, it would grealy help me.
    Thanks,
    Lalitha

    Hi Lalitha,
The reason can be a commitment item with a wrong financial transaction. Therefore please check
the relevant bank clearing account and the assigned commitment item.
The commitment item should have financial transaction 90 in transaction FMCIA.
In the long text of SAP note 686383 you'll find more information regarding this topic. The point 3 under limitations is very
    important for the described situation.
I believe this will help you.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • Migration Funds Management from 4.7 to ECC.6.0

    Hi,
The company is migrating the system from v. 4.7 to ECC 6.0. We have the module FM (Funds Management), but we don't know if this module is still active in ECC 6.0.
Do you have any information about this? And any documentation to do this migration?
    Thanks in advance
    Lluisa

    Hi Lluisa,
    See note[669764|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/669764]:
as of release R/3 enterprise, Funds Management is delivered as an add-on, i.e. EA-PS.
Suggest to check all the release notes for PSM including the ones for EA-PS 110,200,500 and 600
    https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/releasenotes
As you are an Spanish Public Sector customer, I am also including the link to the available documentation, but if you did not have IS-PS nor ISPSe before, I think most of the specific upgrade tools will not be relevant for you. No matter, just have a look for your information:
    https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/sectorpublico
Servicios para Sector Público España     -> ISPSe Contabilidad Presupuestaria   > ISPSe Support Packages > EAPSe600
And, in EA-PS enhancement package 4, there are additional functions for Spanish customers:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/42/fbded750e61febe10000000a422035/frameset.htm
    > Business Functions in SAP ERP  -> Enterprise Business Functions  -> Accounting>Public Sector Management --> Country-Specific Business Functions -->FI-FM Localization Topics for the Spanish Public Sector
Maybe this is too much information for now..;)

  • Funds Management(4.6C) migration to EA-Public Sector 2.0

We have a requirement of upgrading the Funds Management (FI-FM) component to Enterprise Public Sector EA-PS 2.00. Regarding this requirement we had consulted Note no: 669764, 429225 and 520965 respectively as we are using R/3 release 4.6C.

    Looking forward for your response.

    I suggest the following:
Read Note 481938 - System Landscape Optimization Services
    and
    http://service.sap.com/slo
There is a group @ SAP named "System Landscape Optimization", who does those kind of things:
o Delete, merge, split or rename company codes, controlling areas etc.
o Harmonize customizing and master data like chart of accounts or vendors
o Reorganize System Landscape (merge systems, move business areas)
Since you environment is pretty complex, I suggest opening an OSS call on XX-SER-CS, describe just what you wrote here and you will get contacted.
I would NOT do such a merge on my own without involvement of SAP and the corresponding people who know the underlying data model.

  • Difference Between Business Area & Business Place

    Hi there
What is the difference between <i>Business Area and Business Place</i>.
I know that <b>Business place</b> is used in Tax. But again, how it is used. What is the purpose of <b>Business place</b> in tax
    KM Naidu (Kali)

    Hi
please go throught the follwoing site
    http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/FIBUSI/FIBUSI.pdf
    Business place
    Definition with example
    Business Place
    Use
In Taiwan, the business place is used for value-added tax (VAT) reporting and Government Uniform Invoice (GUI) document numbering.
    Structure
In Taiwan, the tax authorities assign each sales office a GUI registration number and a tax registration number. In Country Version Taiwan, the business place corresponds to the company sales office and, in Customizing, it is the organizational unit to which you assign the two tax numbers. By making these settings, you establish the business place in the system as the entity registered with the authorities that is responsible for issuing GUIs and submitting VAT returns.
You define the business place in Customizing for Cross-Application Components:
General Application Functions ® Cross-Application Document Numbering ® Taiwan ® Define Business Place
If your company has more than one business place located in Taiwan, you can choose to file your VAT returns centrally, whereby it is the main business place that files the VAT returns on behalf of all business places. If this is the case, you have to specify the main business place in Customizing. You do this in Customizing for Financial Accounting:
Financial Accounting Global Settings ® Company Code ® Enter Global Parameters
Select the relevant company code and choose Additional details. In the field Business place of head office, enter your main business place. After you have done this and you have created your VAT media file, the system displays the tax numbers of the main business place in the media file, and not those of the individual business places.
    Integration
If you are working with Sales and Distribution (SD), you need to assign the business place to a sales office in Customizing for Cross-Application Components:
General Application Functions ® Cross-Application Document Numbering ® Taiwan ® Assign Business Place to Sales Office
This setting allows the system to derive the business place from the sales office when you post a document in SD.
However, if you are working with Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) or Materials Management (MM), the business place is not associated with any other organizational unit beyond the company code and therefore you have to enter the business place yourself.
We recommend that you maintain your user profile and default your business place to parameter ID_BUPLA (if you are using complex posting transactions, default your branch to parameter JEA). This allows the system to copy the relevant business place to the transactions with which you are working and so reduce the risk of error.
If u feel it is useful award points by way of thanks.
    nagesh.

  • Treasury integration with Fund Management

    Hi All
I have an urgent question.  How to integrate SAP Treasury with Fund Management.  Also, is it possible to integrate Loan Management with Fund Mangement?
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi Prasad
Thank you very much for you reply.  Please note that I am in ECC 6.0 with EHP 4 installed.  It looks  FIN_TRM_PSM_INTEGRATION will be definitley required for my project as I have PSM activated.  Also, I have activated FS too.  But, I am not able to see  FIN_TRM_PSM_INTEGRATION in my "Activate Business Functions".  Am I missing something.
By the way, when we went fo upgrade to ECC 6.0 with EHP4, the TRM was not activated.  As part of the new project to implement Treasury, I have activated TRM.  But, I could not find  FIN_TRM_PSM_INTEGRATION?
    Could you please suggest me?

  • Assignment of Business place to  Plant

    Hi,
Can you please tell me where is option for assignment of Business place to Plant
    Regards,
    Yadayya

    Hi,
If the business place is assigned to a plant, the system derives the business place from that plant when you post a document through Materials Management (MM) or Sales and Distribution (SD). Similarly, if the business place is assigned to a sales office, the system derives the business place from that sales office when you post a document through SD.

  • Error during testing of Funds Management. Error- Message no. FMCF503..

    Hi Gurus,
I am configuring Funds Mgt for the first time and have encountered some problem. I am trying to create a PO and facing the following error after entering the required Fund Area & Fund Center:
Budget for all Years using fiscal year-based encumbrance tracking of value type Purchase Orders
    Message no. FMCF503
    Diagnosis
You have activated multi-year budget for your FM area. This system setting requires the use of period-based encumbrance tracking.
The documents of value type Purchase Orders in your FM area have not been updated on a period basis up until now.
    Procedure
Activate period-based encumbrance tracking for the update profile assigned to your FM area or for the value type Budget for all Years.
    Procedure for System Administration
    Define Setting
As per the error I have done the setting to Period based tracing but still it is providing the error.
    Kindly assist.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Prasad A. Wathare.

    Hi Prasad,
Please, check your customizing in transaction OF39. You should have an entry for value type 51.
This is the reason for the error message FMCF503.
BUT you should not activate PBET without knowing the consequences of it. For more details on this, please also refer to the program documentation and SAP HELP chapter Public Sector Management -> Funds Management -> Recording
Actual and Commitment Data -> Period-Based Encumbrance Tracking.
You need to be sure that you want to activate multi-year budget based on the business requirements of your company.
I suggest you to review the need of this customizing and not try to correct the error message.
PBET activation its an important decision in any company.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.
