Funds Management  - Wrong Account Assignment getting cleared in PR

Hi All,
We are working on Funds Management implementation at our workplace and we are facing a problem relating to account assignment. (SAP ECC 6.0)
We have defined a Account Assignment Derivation for a material as
Material Number = A100 assigned to Commitment Item = ComItem1 and Funds Center = FunCen1.
Now during the creation of a PR for A100, where the Funds Center and Commitment Item fields are mandatory, the wrong commitment item is automatically getting populated (ComItem2 that was defined under a different Funds Center, instead of ComItem1 ;but the fund center field in the PR is alright) and they are also getting passed right up to the MIRO stage, where I get the message "No Commitment Item entered in Item" (here too the wrong funds center and commitment item from the PR are getting populated automatically)
What's worse is that the budget document contains the new commitment item ComItem2 created under FunCen1.
I am not clear as to where the assignment to the funds center and the commitment item in the PR happens - and given that the assignment is given as required, how are the wrong values getting populated and then allowed to proceed upto MIRO ?
Regards,
Wy

Hi Eli Klovsky,
Thanks for the suggestion - was helpful to find out the target fields through the trace.
We went to the details column for the target field in the rule definition structure, and activated the "Overwrite with New Value" field, and in this case, the new values of fund center and commitment item are getting over-written.
However, one problem I have faced is that for materials which have no assignments, when we create the PR on the same line as that of the previous PR (By changing the material number), the old values are not getting replaced. They are however getting replaced once we come back and create a new PR, or add the material on another line.
Have to explore this better - there might be some human errors, where the material number is changed on the same line as that of the previous material PR, in which case, the existence of the previous commitment item and fund centers can result in wrong allocations to other divisions..
@All,
Really sorry to be continuing this discussion here, is it possible to move this to the appropriate Public Sector group  ?

  • Manage Account does not appear in the options sync tab. How do I manage my account to get the recovery key?

    I cannot sync my Firefox 18 desktop with iPad or iPhone browsers. I have tried everything suggested on the Web and have tried safe mode as well. When I enter the three-line synch code, I get a sync failure. I have deleted my account and then set up a new account without success. Manage Account does not appear in the options sync tab. How do I manage my account to get the recovery key?
    I’ve spent hours on this and am considering using Chrome as my regular browser since I have no trouble syncing Chrome with apps. Help appreciated.

    You can only inspect the sync key via manage account if this device is has been setup and is connected to the sync server.
    You can find the sync account password and the sync (recovery) key in the password manager on computers where a sync account with a specific e-mail address has been set up.
    Look for:
    * chrome://weave (Mozilla Services Password)
    * chrome://weave (Mozilla Services Encryption Passphrase)
    You can look at this version of the about:synckey extension that I have modified to show the sync key in current Firefox versions (desktop and mobile).

  • BAPI_PO_CREATE1 - PO not created due to wrong account assignment

    Hello,
    I'm trying to use this BAPI for a PO that I can create with ME21n, so I'm asking you what can be wrong with my input data. Here are the facts:
    A - Message returned: KI / 265: Cost Center 1000 / 1000 does not exist;
    B - Account Assignment Category = 'K' (Cost Center);
    C - G/L account exists and is valid for the PO date;
    D - Cost center exists and is valid for the PO date;
    Here's how I'm filling the POACCOUNT table (one item only)
    PO_ITEM = 00010
    SERIAL_NO = 01
    CREAT_DATE = 20.10.2009
    GL_ACCOUNT = 614000
    COSTCENTER = 1000
    CO_AREA = 1000
    In the POACCOUNTX table I filled the appropriate fields
    Please remind that the PO enters fine with ME21n.
    Any clues?
    Regards,
    Joã

    Hi,
    do you get the same error Ki265 also in the online transaction ME21N?
    Maybe you need to specify POACCOUNT-COSTCENTER with leading zeros; like
    "0000001000".
    Please check In your test data POHEADER-COMP_CODE and POHEADERX-COMP_CODE, these should be filled as well.
    If you still have a problem with the BAPI creation, please create a SAP ticket and use the notes 375886 and 539978
    to prive us with a test data to check in SE37.

  • Account assignment for clearing lines

    Hello,
    My client business need the derivation tool to overwrite the commitment item for the clearing account lines (operation WRX) instead of being inherited from the predecessor PO.
    Therefore, as specified in sap note 923672, I activated the predelivered parameter FLG_FMDERIVE_FORCE in table FM01X. Unfortunately the results were not as I expected. Although it shows in the derivation trace that the commitment item is overwritten for the clearing account, this does not match with the FI doc.
    Have anyone ever used this feature? Do anyone know why this is happening?
    Best regards,
    Bernardo

    Hello Bernardo,
    Same problem has been reported in the OSS, (probably by you?).
    Depending on the release and support package customers are working on, these notes should solve the problem, some of them are also for overwriting PO account assignment in Service Entry Sheets:
    977363  New manual FM account assignment incorrectly overwritten --> (specially this one)
    1041730 FM Account Assignments objects are not correctly determined
    1077529 RFFMCHAT incorrectly calls FMDERIVE instead of reassignment
    1146677 Service Entry Sheet FM account assignment inherited from PO

  • How do I disable printer color management so I can get clear photos using adobe?

    My printer is an Office Jet Pro 8500A Plus. My operating system is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I get excellent photos if I print from Windows Media. When I print from Photoshop Elements 10 all images are blurred and dark. Photoshop says to disable printer color management in printer preferences but there is no link.

    I have researched the matter a lot and I,
    along with many others, still have problems with this complicated
    subject.
    Color management is as simple in theory as Honoring a Source Profile and CONVERTING it to a Target Profile (monitor or printer) for Proofing.
    But yes, we work at the mercy of the rocket scientists who try to dumb an extremely complicated process down so regular folks (like me) can make it work — trouble is I think their approach needs a bit more distilling and common sense sometimes...but it is very doable once you put in the time to figure it out, just follow the CHAIN in your workflow if you're still having problems.
    If you want a "simple button" try staying in sRGB and printing out of Apple Preview app using OEM standard papers matched to your printer and OEM ink set.

  • Funds Management cut over of Open PR and PO

    Hi,
    In case of cutover, we are using following link to update FM account assignment in open PR/PO.
    SPRO>Funds Management Government>Actual and Commitment Update/Integration>Internal Data Transfer to Funds Management>Supplementary Account Assignment-->Select Documents
    and
    SPRO>Funds Management Government>Actual and Commitment Update/Integration>Internal Data Transfer to Funds Management>Supplementary Account Assignment-->Convert Worklist
    1) But in this case, for open PO of which GR is not done FMRP_RW_BUDCON report is not updated after doing above mentioned process. when I make GR, commitment get updated in FMRP_RW_BUDCON report. This does not show actual status of budget consumption as budget consumption is shown at the time of GR only.
    2) If GR is already done for PO and after doing above mentioned process, if GR get reversed then Negetive commitment shows in FMRP_RW_BUDCON report and after deletion of that respected PO, commitment of PO gets zero. But negetive GR commitment remains open which leads to wrong status of budget consumption. e.g. GR of Rs 5000 is reversed. Then report shows two documents as -5000 for GR reversed and 5000 for PO commitment getting open. IF I reversed this PO then PO commitment of 5000 become zero. but GR reversing amount -5000 still remains open. So it shows less consumption of budget by Rs.5000.
    Do I am missing any process. Suggest.

    Hi,
    Firstly, after you convert the open commitments, you'll need to run FMAVCREINIT to reconstruct AVC. FMRP_RW_BUDCON will then reflect the converted commitments.
    Secondly, based on your posting, it seems that you do not want PO commitments (VT 51) to be counted as budget consumption. You can achieve this in the ledger 9H configuration:
    Public sector management > Funds management government > BCS > Availability control > Settings for availability control ledger > Define filter settings for commitment/actual values. You will want to exclude both value type 50 and 51 from ledger 9H. After you change the setting, you will need to run FMAVCREINIT again.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Ming

  • Internal Data Transfer to Funds Management

    Hello All,
    We are implementing the Funds Management in the middle of the Fiscal year, now all the settings are done and budget also uploaded.
    Now my question is How to convert the previous documents into funds management which were posted from the year starting 01.04.2008.(FI and MM documents including park documents)
    For this I am refering the following IMG steps, i.e Internal Data Transfer to Funds Management-Supplementary Account Assignment-Select Documents-Convert Worklist-Display Worklist
    Here I am unable to understand what is happening in the first step and second step
    Can any one pls clarify and give correct solution
    Regards
    Uma

    Hello Uma,
    In PSM-FM you have similar processes in two-steps (select and run), first selecting the data and after that processing the data.
    In the step "Select Documents" (step 1) you select the documents, based on your selection criteria, for which you want to provide a supplementary account assignment within your company code. The documents selected are displayed in a worklist.
    You can provide the documents with a supplementary account assignment in an additional step by converting the worklist (step 2).
    In the Convert Worklist section (step 2), you add account assignments to the documents contained in the work list (generated by the step 1) for your FM area. The documents to which an account assignment is added are displayed in a list which shows the original account assignment and the changed account assignment for each document.
    With each program run, the system assigns a run number. You can use this run number as a selection criterion for selective deletion or selective display of the work list. This is very useful if you do not want to do the running process (convert worklist) in one step, you can convert in more than one step.
    To convert (step 2) you must first have selected the documents (step 1) to which you want to add an account assignment.
    For example, you can in the step 1 select ALL the documents that you want to convert and in the step 2 you can split in more than one process (due to performance or checking reasons) the data generated in the step 1.
    The option "Display Worklist" is to check the worklist generated in the step 1 for a specific FM area based on particular selection criteria. If no data was deleted from the worklist, the worklist contains all the information on the supplementary account assignment:
    The system assigns a run number during each program run for converting the work list. You can use this number as a selection criterion when displaying the work list.
    You can display these documents by starting the program without specifying a run number.
    You can test this process with a single document in step 1 and step2 and you will see that the step 1 only makes the document as selected and the real change will happen in the step2.
    I hope I could clarify the process
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

    Hi All
    I am also facing the same problem. Has anyone found the solution for this? I have gone through all the relevant actions for activating FM.
    The steps i took are :
    a) Create a Funds management area
    b) Assign the FM Area to company code
    c) Activate Global FM Function
    d) Activate Global FM Budgetory control check
    e) To a FM area assign the currency,Budget profile,Fund profile ,Fiscal year variant
    f) The master data to be created
    1. Fund centre
    2. Commitment item
    Funds are not relevant at my scenario so it is not relevant.
    g) Made budget entry for a FM area at Fund centre,Fund,Commitment item level.
    h) Created derivation rules for the posting.
    i) Assign Commitment item to GL accounts
    j) After checking the postings, I tried to activate FM.
    At this point the FM is giving me the same error:- Read Access Only

  • Why account assignment is not deleted when push "Order as Direct Material"?

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a problem with shopping carts (SC) of stock items:
    1.- I add 5 items.
    2.- I push "Order as Direct Material" button for 3 items only.
    3.- I push "Hold" button to set SC with held status.
    4.- I modify the SC and push "Order as Direct Material" button for 2 items missing.
    5.- I order the SC.
    One of the effects that it has the "Order as Direct Material" button is that it deletes the account assignment because the items will use to create a PO stock.
    But for the last 2 items (number 4.-) the account assignment is not deleted.
    This is causing that the PO's have error: "Invalid tax code".
    Somebody can say to me why is not deleting the account assignment for items previously hold?
    My systems are:
    SRM 4.0 (SRM_SERVER 500) level 8
    R/3 4.7 (SAP_APPL 470) level 24

    check item data what is stored here DP ? if account assignment not cleared it could be a bug. but you need to convince them to get a correction note.

  • Fund Management Error in Billing Document

    Dear all,
    We are upgrading from 4.6 C to ECC 6.0, when i am creating service order and with reference to service order i am creating Service Invoice and save it dosenot transfer to accounting bcoz of FM account assignment is incomplete.
    I checked in Sales order at item level there is one field for Fund Management in Account Assignemnt but it is not active so i cannot enter any field.
    Can any one plz provide some solution for the same.
    Thanks & Regards,

    You might want to check the account determination analysis in the document, menu Environment ->Analysis -> Account Determination. Usually the accounting information is greyed out because it's supposed to be determined automatically. Obviously, something is incorrect or missing in your system. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Fund Management config, you might want to ask in the industry-specific forum.

  • PO Account Assignment Tab in ECC - with Split Accounting

    Hello,
    We currently are using Funds and WBS Elements within our SAP system.  When both a fund and a WBS Element are used on one line item within the shopping cart, I am able to see all of the information (fund, wbs element, fund center, cost center, commitment item, etc).  However, after the purchase order is created and transmitted to ECC the "Account Assignment Category" is marked as "X - All aux.acct.assgts." and the account assignment tab only has the following column headers:
    - Sequential Number of Account Assignment
    - Quantity
    - Distribution Percentage in Case of Multiple Account Assgt
    - Cost Center
    - G/L Account Number
    - Order Number
    - Asset Subnumber
    - WBS Element
    - Sales and Distribution Document Number
    - Sales Document Number
    - Delivery Schedule Line Number
    - Unloading Point
    - Goods Recipient/Ship-to Party
    - Deletion Indicator: Purchasing Document Account Assignment
    I can see that the fund is within the EKKN table (Field: BP_GEBER) but for some reason ME23N does not have this field in the Account Assignment tab when the category is "X".  How do I add "Fund" into the Account Assignment tab so that it will be visible within ME23N?
    Thanks,
    Katie

  • Purchase Order Document Type and Account Assignment

    Hi  ,
    We have a requirement to control Account Assignment in Purchase Order Item line based on the Document type selected on the Purchase Order header.
    Like if user selects Purchase Order document type "ZNB" (Customized created) , then he will only able to select "K" or Blank or "P" as account assignment and similary we want to limit other Account assignments based on the Purchase Document type.
    How can we make this Control settings?
    Regards
    Shrey

    Hi,
    You can't really limit the account assignment categories per document type, at least not directly.
    You can limit the item categories that can be used for a document type via configuration:
    Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Define Document Types
    Within this transaction you can define which item categories are valid for a specific document type.
    You can then define which account assignment categories are valid for each item category
    Materials Management > Purchasing > Account Assignment > Define Combination of Item Categories/Account Assignment Categories
    BUT
    limiting the account assignment categories that are valid for an item category will affect ALL purchase order document types that this item category is valid for. And you can't create your own item categories as this is a SAP standard table that can NOT be altered.
    Regards,
    Monika
