G/L account item without tax code in document with deferred taxes

Hi ,
While releasing the billing document to accounting i get this error " G/L account item without tax code in document with deferred taxes". Not able to release it to accounts. What could be the possible reason??
Actually, this error is occuring only when i am using a Discount Condition (Z Condition).
Please guide what could be the problem in the Discount Condition?
Thanks and Best Regards

whats this Z condition type. Is it  a tax condition type. If yes , please check the tax code assigned to this in the condition type defintion (VK12) and in FTXP check if this code is assigned with Account key.
Also in the pricing procedure, if this condition is Active (not statistical) whats the account key assigned to it. Then check  whats the GL Account assigned to this Account key (VKOA).
Then in FS03 , check this GL account number and under "Control Data" whats the Tax category maintained. You can have a * for the tax category here.
Hope this helps
Regards
Sai

  • Check of tax code by document type?

    Hi Guru's!
Ís there a possibility to have a check on allowed tax codes by document type?
For example: document type: vendor invoice Europe
-> only european tax codes are allowed
In Italy we have the requirement to have many different document types for sepcial number ranges, related to the kind of VAT. This is why we now want to have a system check for allowed tax codes by document type?
    Or any other criteria?
More than that, do we have a possibility to hide useless document types by company code?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Sandra

    Dear Sandra,
As far as I know there is no check between the Document type and the vat code into the standard System.
If I were You, I would build up an FI validation for the user...if the Document type is XX please use the vat code YY.
I hope this can help You.

  • PO line item without material code

    Dear All,
Normally  GR can be done for a PO line item if material master is maintained in order to have the valuation.
In a case, a PO has been created without material code but short description , account assignment category and Material groups are given and GR also done.
In material group for that line item, when checked in OMQW, valuation class not assigned.
Account assignment category found to be F.
How accouting document gets created and where the settings done to have GL account in Accocuting document of GR.
    Please explain.

    Hi,
If it is a text purchase, only value and quantity are picked up to assign these to the G/L acc you assign thru acc assigmt cat. If it is F (order) the same value will be assigned to the g/l acc pertaining to that order.
For cccounting entry it is posted as an expense. No Val Class is required.
    Hope it helps

  • MIRO Tax Codes being changed from PO Tax codes

    Hi,
When I raise a PO with GL acc assignment to 466001 if I use a tax code other than V0 i get the error message "G/L account 466001 permits only tax code V0; this is correct as the only tax code allowed should be V0 for this GL account and this is in the GL master data.
But when I posted two invoices against it using MIRO, one coded V1 and one P1, both of were posted, without the error message "G/L account 466001 permits only tax code V0; P1 is not permitted" showing.
Please can someone tell me why this would be allowed and how I can change it so only the PO tax codes are pulled through and they cannot be changed in MIRO?
    Thanks-
    Shem

    Hello shemhin,
In miro what is account entry passed. According me the different amount (because of change in tax code) hit to price difference account or stock account or any tolerance group account,if maintained.
In case of revert me back.

  • Applying Tax code on document total as a whole.

will it be possible to apply tax on a document total as a whole?
    for eg.
I want to generate a purchase order for 3 items and doesn't want to apply tax code on line level.
The document total will be say 5000 now i want to put tax code on this value.
    will it be possible.

    Hi,
In SAP B1, You should link the Tax codes in row level (ie., for every item it's tax code should be defined in that row itself). We cannot define or calculate the tax amount for overall amount.

  • Configuration of Tax code A0 that is output tax with 0%

    Hi

    Hi Swetha,
No need to go for OB40 to assign g/l accounts in FTXP itself assign the g/l account in top click on accounts and assign g/l accounts and save.

  • Assigning multiple withholding tax codes of the same witholding tax type

As described in note 363650, I have configured a withholding tax type FE to include a range of withholding tax codes of 0% for US 1099 reporting only. I also carried out the conversion to extended withholding and resolved all errors. My requirement is that I need two different withholding tax codes of this type to be open and editable in MIRO and FB60. I am receiving error Message no. 7Q005 when I attempt to add another code of the same type.
What is the best practice for configuring/recording withholding tax in this case?
    Example:
    Vendor XYZ
    Header amount of invoice: $1000.00
Amount relevant for withholding tax type FE code 01: $600.00 (rents)
Amount relevant for withholding tax type FE code 07: $400.00 (nonemployee compensation)
    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the input. My problem occurs when attempting to assign the second tax code in the vendor master. The system doesn't allow for the second code of  the same type to be added.
I can assign one code in the vendor master without issue, and all fields are editable in the withholding tax tab for the first code, both for invoicces and for payments.
I have been offered one suggestion to configure a differrent range of codes with a new tax type. This would mean that if I had only one vendor relevant for 3 tax codes (rent, royalties, unemployee compensation) then I would have to configure two additional withholding tax types with all the codes associated with them. This doesn't seem like the best approach -- am I missing a setting or some other minor config to solve this?

    Hi Caroline,
It will not be possible to change the TAX CODE or TAX CODE NAME. You will need to remove the TAX CODE.
But, It there are transaction against the TAX code you will need to create a new TAX CODE.
Pls refer to SAP Note : 1032062 for the Error Message : 'Value Must Be Empty - Tax Definition EU'

  • Error in added withholding tax code in XK02-extended withholding tax

    dear all,
I've just activate extended withholding tax using invoice posting.
When I want to add withholding tax code in vendor master data XK02 it appear error that tax code I've input does not exist in table T059Z, because it read country value "ID" beside the tax code.
For example I've create tax code L1 in country ID, and add L1 in XK02, the error appear 'Entry 'ID L1' does not exist in T059Z.'
Does anyone ever experience the same error?

    Hi Oscar,
i would like to know whether the company and the vendor are both in country ID.
if that is the case, just check in "Check Withholding Tax Countries" whether the country has been included.
and also assign the WHT type to your co code in"Assign Withholding Tax Types to Company Codes".
define the WHT type first and then WHT code.
this should solve your problem. if not, kindly revert.

  • Vendor document With-holding tax

I encounter one issue, one of my vendor document, in line item1, additional details, it shows Disc. Base: 3200 THB, but if we go to
tax tab, it shows: tax at payment , witholding tax base: 3000 THB, why two Disc base is different?

    What is GST?
    Gross Sales Tax?
    Where is the TDS entry?
If it is not TDS related, it seems the base amount is Net amount and it is calculating Net amount
    Net amount = 3200
    GST = 10%
    GST Value = 3200*10/100  = 320
Vendor has been credited with 3520
As per my knowledge, TDS entry comes a below
    31...Vendor.....4500 INR
    40...Raw material.....5000 INR
    50....TDS Amount......500 INR
Just confirm on the above queries
