Game center cannot invite friends...please help
As the title says...myself and lot of friends cannot invite each other to play games...the wheel just spins and spins till you just have to cancel the invite...all notifications are on for inviting friends and games...
No-one seems to know the answer, hope someone here does

1. Make sure notifications is on for game center, otherwise thy won't get invites.
2. Make sure neither one of you has a bad connection.
3. Make sure you and your friend are both on at the same time and you guys are not sending invites at the same time.
4. Keep the Powerbutton and the Homebutton pressed at the same time until you see the Apple logo on your screen.
These are some solutions that helped me, hope they work for you too.

Games centre: Cannot Send Friend Requests
When I try to add a friend on my iphone 4 I get this:
"Games centre: Cannot Send Friend Requests
You are not allowed to send friend requests on this device"
Why not? How can I play a game against a friend?! How can I invite my friend?

I swear before I reset I had an option to add friends but I can't find it now. If I go the the app (in this case "Fourinarow" and select the multiplayer online option and then try to invite a friend, firstly I can' see a list of anyone - but that's fine I presume as I've never used it before, but then if I search for my friends username ... nothing happens! -
when i burn a disk in Disk Utility, the burn completes but the verification process does not complete and my disk pops out. The error message i get is something like this "burn failed because disk cannot be verified," PLEASE HELP.
Also when i take the disk out it seems fine nd everything seems to be burned onto the disk. I am buring mac os x lion onto a disk.
The disk i am using is nextech and i am burning at the slowest speed (4x).
Also this is my 3rd time trying to do this and the verifying process keeps failing.... what do i do?see there

I’d be happy to help with this messaging error! This will be due to the device storing the number incorrectly. Please do the following to resolve the issue:
Delete texts from both old number and new
Delete any call logs including these numbers
Delete old number from contacts
Delete new number from contacts
Restart device
Send text to the new number directly (do not save as contact)
Once the text sends successfully, you can then save as a new contact

i cannot backup my iphone4s because no more storage is displayed when the storage statistics shows Total Storage 5GB and Available Storage 5GB - basically i haven't used any memory but i cannot backup! please help. i am only trying to back up my notes and contacts. that's it. and i don't think it will use up 5GB
On your iPhone, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage. There you should be able to see how much of your used storage is allocated to different things (ex., iphone backup, ipad backup, mail). From there you should be able to figure out what is going on.

I need to deactivate it because we are getting rid of the computer it is on and are buying a new one. When I go to Help there is no Deactivate option. The only options are: "Help", "Hide Coach", "Tip of the Day", "Adobe Website", "Technical Support Website", "Frequently Asked Questions", "Check for Updates", "Register", "Download e-License..." (Greyed out), "Return e-License..." (Greyed out) and "About Adobe Visual Communicator 3". I spoke with support through chat and they said my product was no longer supported.

Game center break down ... help needed!
I just cannot get my game center to work, therefore my games won't save.
eg, The Sims freeplay tells me I'm not signed in to game center so I open up GC app. I see the "Me" screen, with me on it!
I tap on games and nothing will load. I tap on "friends" and nothing will load. And once I tap on friends I cannot get off the blank
screen without shutting the app down.
I've been in settings > game center > my profile name ... all looks ok here until I try and close the profile box down by tapping
"cancel" or "done" ~ it won't go! Again I have to shut down the settings app completely.
I'm finding this infuriating now. I've tried setting the date back & re-booting the ipad ~ still the same
This all started happening AFTER the last update .... fed up.
Any help would be much appreciatedThe fact that tapping on buttons in game center and not getting a positive response seems to imply a problem with app, not the device... by rebooting, do you mean turn it off and then turn it on, or reset everything?
As a last resort, I would advise that you backup your IPad to a computer, save all you stuff, and reset the iPad, bringing it back to factory settings.
Put all you stuff back on and then see if it works... if it doens't, It could be the update -
Game Center - no add friend button and unknown notifications
On my iPhone 4 when I click into game center I dont think it is acting as it should? There are a few things wrong I think?
- In the friends tab it just says "No Friends" and has no button anywhere for me to add friends.
- There are only three tabs down the bottom 'Me', 'Friends' and 'Games' - shouldnt there be an extra one?
- Randomly sometimes when I enter game center then exit again a notification show on game center in my home screen and when I click on game center to find the notification it is no where to be found but the little red "1" still stays over game center in my home screen and I can't get rid of it?
Someone please help, I am very confused!!!
THANKS HEAPSEnable Game Center under General>Restricions>Game Center. There are two toggles, "Multiplayer Games" and "Adding Friends". Turning on the latter toggle will enable you to add friends to your account.
Alternatively, you can disable restrictions completely. -

Hi everyone, my game center has been stuck on the 'loading' screen for about a week now and I am annoyed because I cant see my friends Highscores or play multiplayer online. Please help. I have just purchased an iPhone 4, but it wasn't connecting to my iTunes, so I took advice and uninstalled iTunes. But when I am trying to reinstall iTunes, it keeps telling me that I cannot because I have a newer version of Quicktime installed. That's usually caused by damaged QuickTime installation configuration information on the PC.
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)
