Game Center - no add friend button and unknown notifications

On my iPhone 4 when I click into game center I dont think it is acting as it should? There are a few things wrong I think?
- In the friends tab it just says "No Friends" and has no button anywhere for me to add friends.
- There are only three tabs down the bottom 'Me', 'Friends' and 'Games' - shouldnt there be an extra one?
- Randomly sometimes when I enter game center then exit again a notification show on game center in my home screen and when I click on game center to find the notification it is no where to be found but the little red "1" still stays over game center in my home screen and I can't get rid of it?
Someone please help, I am very confused!!!

Enable Game Center under General>Restricions>Game Center. There are two toggles, "Multiplayer Games" and "Adding Friends". Turning on the latter toggle will enable you to add friends to your account.
Alternatively, you can disable restrictions completely.

I will recieve friend request and I will accept them, but it never adds them. Also I cannot request people to be my friends. I checked the settings on my account it is set up to allow friend requests. I have also tried rebooting the Ipad, but still no luck.

Try these steps:
1. Open multitasking bar and close everything. (Hold down and press the X's.
2. Then, power off.
3. Turn back on.
4. This is where the problem lies: TURN ON ALL THE NOTIFICATIONS FOR GAMECENTER.

When I try to install "Addblock Plus", a pop-up box displays "Add-on downloading", and "unknown time remaining - 0 bytes (0 bytes / sec)". My local area connection status box shows that it is connected but that nothing is being received.

I am using Firefos 9.0.1 under Windows XP. I use Avast anti-virus. My Add-ons bar is empty. I have not initiated the installation of any plug-ins. Downloads keeps no record of my attempts.

I have done that trouble shooting with results, as follows:
Started in safe mode
In Tools/Options/Advanced/General, I unchecked "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Clicked on Tools/Add-ons
"Get add-ons" displayed "Loading" indefinitely
All 5 Extensions are dis-abled: it suggested that I remove "Microsoft.net framework assistant 1.2.1" & "Test pilot 1.2".
On "Microsoft.net framework assistant 1.2.1" I Clicked "Remove". It remained but with version 0.0.0.
On "Test pilot 1.2" I clicked "Remove". It disappeared.
The single Appearance "Default 9.0.1" is disabled
None of the 16 plug-ins are disabled.
I clicked on Add-ons and "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading"
Several minutes later I found that, "Add-ons" had loaded.
I clicked on "Most popular" and then on "Add to Firefox " within "Adblock plus"
A pop-up box displayed "Add-on downloading", and "unknown time remaining - 0 bytes (0 bytes / sec)".
Within a minute, a Firefox "Alert" pop-up window opened with the message: "An error occurred during a connection to www.mozilla.org:443 / The OCSP server experienced an internal error. / (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_server_error)"
I bookmarked the "Most popular add-ons page"
I closed Firefox and opened it again - not in safe mode.
Clicked on Tools/Add-ons. "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading".
In Extensions, on "Microsoft.net framework assistant 1.2.1" I Clicked Disable", and Restart Firefox
I clicked on Tools/Add-ons. "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading". Message displayed "Connected to services.add-ons.mozilla.org. Waited.
10 minutes later I opened a new tab and clicked on the "Most popular add-ons page" bookmark. Message displayed "Connected to add-ons.mozilla.org". Waited.
15 minutes later, neither of the tabs had responded. I re-started firefox in safe mode
I clicked on Tools/Add-ons. "Get add-ons" displayed "Loading". Message displayed "Connected to static-ssl-cdn.addons.mozill.net"
Using the new tab from above which was not active on restart, I clicked on the "Most popular add-ons page" bookmark.
The bookmarked page opened. I clicked on "Add to Firefox " within "Adblock plus"
Again, a pop-up box displayed "Add-on downloading", and "unknown time remaining - 0 bytes (0 bytes / sec)". (No Alert this time).
I don't know what to read into all of this. Any advice on what the next best thing to do would be appreciated.

unfortunately the do_not_trust certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. This happened last month too. It seems to be related to length of the newsletter too. It works on every device except iPhones - so weird.

I'm pretty sure this is an Apple thing and you can't do anything about it. To get rid of the notification just do as it asks then try to forget about it.

Game Center is missing Requests button

Hi all,
I have never opened Game Center before, but I have received a friend request from my fiancee, and in trying to accept it, I discovered that my Requests button along the bottom is missing (see image below. I have "Me," "Friends," and "Games," and that's it. When I tap "Friends," the screen says only "No Friends" (waaah!) and there's no option for accepting friend requests or creating new requests.
Has anyone experienced this before? I wonder if there's a setting somewhere that I have turned off? I checked my Settings, but can find no such thing. I appreciate any help. Thanks!

I just noticed this too, I even rebooted the phone, restoring is not an option for me unless if a new update is out.
I normally don't go into my game center but this morning I did, and there was no request tab or request a friend button.
But here is something that I did. I had restriction on which disabled Game center multiplayer. Therefore, I went to game center, it wasn't there. Now I went back to the restriction, enabled the mltiplayer. Went back to game center, Voila, the request tab, was there. So check on your Restriction settings, and see if this might help?

TS1702 I've done recent iOS update on IPad (2nd gen) and now game center will not open. and when I attempt to contact support it tells me that I need current safari browser, yet when I plug in it tells me all is up to date????????

I've done recent ios update on my IPad (2nd gen.) and now game center has stopped connecting. Just goes to blank white screen. I have synced 4 times and turned IPad on and off several times. when I try to connect to Apple support it tells me that i must have current safari browser. Yet when I sync to my MAC it tells me all is up to date with current ios.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Game center cannot invite friends...please help

As the title says...myself and lot of friends cannot invite each other to play games...the wheel just spins and spins till you just have to cancel the invite...all notifications are on for inviting friends and games...
No-one seems to know the answer, hope someone here does

1. Make sure notifications is on for game center, otherwise thy won't get invites.
2. Make sure neither one of you has a bad connection.
3. Make sure you and your friend are both on at the same time and you guys are not sending invites at the same time.
4. Keep the Powerbutton and the Homebutton pressed at the same time until you see the Apple logo on your screen.
These are some solutions that helped me, hope they work for you too.

HT4314 iPhone 5c iOS 8.0.2 Game Center randomly logged me out and asked for a nickname as if I did not have an account. How do I get my account back?

I updated my iPhone to iOS 8 then added the 8.0.2 update early last week. On 10/3/14, I used an app that saves through Game Center with no problems (and had not been logged out of Game Center at any time since the update), then a few hours later when I tried to go back in, Game Center popped up and asked for my password. I put in my password, then Game Center prompted me for a nickname. When I entered my nickname, it told me it was associated with another account. I only have one Apple ID and the account the nickname is associated with is my own. After going out and back in and restarting the phone, I finally entered a new nickname thinking maybe it was being required as part of the update but then it cleared all of my Game Center information. Is there a way I can get back to my original nickname and Game Center progress? Thank you in advance for your help as I am not very tech savvy.

Even easier than what I wrote originally. Just do a RESET ALL SETTINGS . I was originally only trying the "reset network settings" but didn't try reset ALL settings. This has helped 5 of my friends regain their Bluetooth connectivity with a variety of autos. But remember two things: 1) back up data on your phone before trying this and 2) don't forget to delete the bluetooth original pairing from your car.

Game Center will no longer load and can't sign out

So I have iOs 7 on my iPad 2. I have found I have had this problem since I had downloaded Angry Birds Epic. Game Center started acting weird, logging out randomly and no being able to login in. Now I can not log out of it in the settings menu, every time I try and click off of it and go back I am miraculously signed back in. If I open game center the initial screen is fine but if I click on games it just goes white and sits there thinking. I have tried everything I have seen about restarting etc. I think the only thing I have not done is restore the system. I have no issues with my iPhone 5.
Any thoughts? Is it corrupted now so I will have to restore my iPad?

In order to close apps in iOS 7, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Oh my god.
I have the same issue and im about to leave IOS and go Android.
Im a huge gamer on the iPhone and got 19k+ achivement.
When IOS 7 came the GC have not been working correctly ever sence.
I have a huge OCD with achievements and need the achievements synced with GC.
For every 7.0.X update im SURE there will be a fix for this but nothing.
I am very dissapointed.
