Generate file XLS with Sheet

I need to generate a XLS file, but I have to create 2 plans. Does anybody knows a function which i can use?

Do u mean by you want to save the data into two different XLS sheets? If so, you can use the OLE objects. Here is the sample codes for it. Twist it around to fix your need!

i´m writing xls file with jasper, the problem is that is mixed the source code of the JSP (where doing request) in the content of the file xls, do not import the API thah use.

Not related to the actual problem, but this line is not very efficient. What if the report is bigger than the available server memory? Or if there are many simultaneous requests which does all the same?
It would result in an OutOfMemoryError. Rather obtain it as an InputStream and write it in a loop to the OutputStream using a byte block as buffer. Or wrap the both streams by BufferedInputStream/BufferedOutputStream and write in a simple loop. Consult the basic Java IO tutorials for details and code examples.

Generating file name with date

I try to create via ABAP a file name with date in it. Normaly my script must run but the script won't run. Please help. Thanks.

I have a XML which received information from a form.
To the user see the information inside a XML file, I created a report.cfm with the informations of the users.
Now the user want which the information in the XML, generate a XLS file from a CFM file to download.
How I will transformed this information in a XLS file?

There is no need to re-invent the wheel. Raymond Camden has published code that converts information from a form to an Excel file. His method first converts information from a form to a query. But you can easily adapt it to your case. If you do not have direct access to the form, you will still be able to convert the XML data into the name-value pairs in the query.

Oracle Apps RDF Report generates file with ^M (Carriage return) characters

We are upgrading from 11i to r12 (also moving from HP unix to AIX on hardware side) and this rdf report generates a text file which is then eventually sent to a third party system for printing. Report works just fine in 11i as it generates a file without any ^M chars but in R12 environment, the same report generates file with ^M chars.
Also want to understand how the Oracle Apps system hands over the output files to O/S which is saved.

This is a Report type of Concurrent program
How does the text file get generated?
Report is generating a Text file on :desname, a custom folder.
Was the binary mode used to copy the files from the old server to the new one?
I believe RDF Reports were copied over in Binary format but none of the text files generated from old server are copied over.

Webhelp forcefully generating files with lowercase filepath

Hi,
I have a list of APIs in the TOC that has the folder names in Sentence case;
The TOC is somewhat like this:

The path to an API in Foo in the auto-generated files, such as in whdata, should be: /product_apis/xyz/webservices/Foo.
However, the path in the the auto-generated files changes to /product_apis/xyz/webservices/foo/
(note 'Foo' changes to 'foo')
Since Linux is case-sensitive, these API links do not work in Linux.
I have replaced all such instances by using a search and replace tool.
But this is only temporary.
How do I make sure the files maintain the correct case of the filepath or foldernames

I could figure out why the links are breaking by knowing that the filapaths are being generated in all lowercase; I got to know about this by examining the auto-generated files. That's about it.

Hello again In RoboHelp 7 if you examine the properties of your Single Source Layout recipe, look near the top of the first page of the dialog. When it's enabled, the process of generating WebHelp ensures all file names are lower case. But it also ensures all links are amended to lower case so it will prevent broken links from occurring. I'm confused as to your mention of what's inside the whdata, whgdata and whxdata files. These are auto generated by RoboHelp and there should never be a need to muck about with any of them. I've generated file with com2java and my classe java that use these files raise

Have you created Internal IO?
Have you mapped the IIO with WSDL's External IO that is generated out of WSDL?
Have you changed the output of the above map in-par with the input parameter of the BS created out of WSDL?

Triggering workflow with system generated files

I'm creating a workflow that is triggered when it encounters a content ID of D . It works perfect when I check-in a new content item ending in D, but when the system generates the discussion file ending in _D it doesn't trigger the workflow.
Do you know how I can trigger the workflow for system generated files? Thanks!

Umm, to be honest, I am lost even more. You mentioned several keywords and I can't figure out how to mix them together to make something reasonable:
- discussions
- a special folder for discussion files - does this mean that whole problem is that discussion files end up in the same folder as regular files and users don't like it?
I have just verified that if you create a discussion via WebDav for an item in a folder, the discussion file inherits the folder id of the item. However, if you modify it (I used UPDATE and just cleared it), the discussion is still available at the item's detail, but it is not visible in the folder - why would you set a folder for discussions at all, then?
- workflow - did you intend to use workflow mechanism to (auto)modify the folder of discussions?
If that's so, I think workflows is not good mechanism to do that - I'd expect in workflows to have some interaction with users (like approvals/rejects, which makes no sense to me for discussion entries)
I'm not sure if you can modify such a behavior on either Folders component, or ThreadedDiscussion components, but even if not, you should be able to do it via relatively easy custom component.

You missed a space in the string after your WHERE clause.
put an extra space after the 'WHERE' in your execute immediate statement.

How to delete the Generated files from application server(open hub)?

hi experts,
when i try to execute process chain the DTP it is giving below dump. Exception CX_RSBK_REQUEST_LOCKED logged.
when i execute the DTP manually and trying to delete the previous request, it is giving for dump ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY.
so to delete the generated file from application server, how to delete it for specific dates?

Termination occurred in the ABAP program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM" - in
"START_ROUTINE".
The main program was "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 2874
of the (Include) program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM".
The program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM" was started as a background job.
and when i check the dump it is point out at below code

I had a drive failure and lost the iWeb file along with other things. I did manage to save a lot of user file documents but I don't see or recognize the my iWeb site file. It was on a 15" G4 Titanium pb. I'm trying to find a way, using version 2.0.4

Unfortunately iWeb cannot read or import previously published files, only generate them. You'll have to recreate your site from scratch.
However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site.

How Do RoboHelp 9 WebHelp Generated Files Handle Map IDs and Aliases?

The text below was written by our team's developer/architect. I am the help author who uses RoboHelp to write content and generate the help files, but I am clueless how it all gets generated and is deployed. Please help. We use RoboHelp 9. I use it in Windows XP and our app and help run on IE 7, 9, and Firefox (multiple versions).
"Our application uses the numeric identifiers associated with the Map ID. For example, to get to the <appname>_home_page.htm file, we use the number 1053. <appname> = pecs, in this example.
All of this is used in a call to a RoboHelp method defined in the RoboHelp_CSH.js file. The mehtod we are calling is the RH_ShowHelp() JavaScript method and the code to perform the call, when you click on Page Help, is this:
RH_ShowHelp(0, ''/pecsHelp/index.htm>pecsHelp',HH_HELP_CONTEXT,topic);
Topic is translated to the Map ID number for the page help. HH_HELP_CONTEXT is defined in the RoboHelp_CSH.js file. This method translates into a URL and from what I have seen, the URL that gets generated is this:
http://{server}[:port]/pecsHelp/index.htm/{server}[:port]/pecsHelp/index.htm#<id=1053>>pecsHelp
Server and port get replaced with the appropriate values. I have no clue how id=1053 is supposed to get translated to mean "pecs_home_page.htm". If you check the PECS_help.h file, you will see the following entry:
#define PECS_Home_Page1 1053
Then in the RoboHelp alias file (PECS 3.0.ali), the following line is in the file:
<alias name="PECS_Home_Page1" link="pecs_home_page.htm"> </alias>
But both of these files are used during the WebHelp generation process and I don't know how the WebHelp generated files handle the Map ID and aliases."

You need to assign the numbers you find in the pecs_help.h file to topics in your help. You do this in Context Sensitive Help > Map Files > All Map IDs. (From RH7, but I assume the location is similar in RH9.) This creates the entries in the .ali file.
