Generated file becomes empty when date parameters are used

Hi,
I have a concurrent program which when run should generate a file. The From and To date parameters make use of a value set (FND_STANDARD_DATE_REQUIRED) whose format type is the 'standard date' and maximum size is 11.
When I run the program in APPS, the format for the FROM and TO date parameters I use is 'DD-MON-YYYY'.
The package which is being called by this program has this in the select statement: and ct.trx_date BETWEEN p_begin_date AND p_end_date
ct.trx_date field type is DATE
Each time I comment out this part of the select statement then compile the package and run the program, I am able to generate the file with the expected records. But when I use this part of the select statement, the genereted file is empty.

Yes, I expect 12 records to be in the file.
Am just not sure if the problem has something to do with the data type being passed. In the package that is being called, the from and to date parameters in the procedure are 'VARCHAR2'. While in apps, the concurrent program's from and to date parameters were assigned a value set whose custom type is 'CURRENT DATE' with format 'DD-MON-YYYY'.

I have some pdf files in my Motion 4 project. When I uncheck the "fixed resolution" box, they pdf files look great. But when I proceed to add any filter effect like any of the Glow filters, the pdf file becomes all pixelated and looks horrible. What am I doing wrong?

Filters fix the resolution, rasterizing the vector graphics. Try make it very large, the apply the filter to the containing layer and shrink the layer to be the desired size...

Office 2010 Don't print blank lines when data fields are empty

How do you do this in office 2010? Where do we go now?
This used to be under the Tools menu in previous versions:
On the Tools menu, click Mail Merge.
In the Mail Merge Helper dialog box, click Merge.
NOTE: You must select the main document and data source for the merge before doing step 2.
In the Merge dialog box, under When Merging Records, click either:
Don't print blank lines when data fields are empty.

Print blank lines when data fields are empty.
Click Close in the Merge dialog box, and then click
Close in the Mail Merge Helper.
NOTE: If you made no changes in the Merge dialog box, the
Close button is not available. Click Cancel instead.

Mail Merge Helper to the Quick Access bar, and perform the steps then.
To add the
Mail Merge Helper command in the Quick Access Toolbar in Word 2007, follow these steps:

Customize.
In Word 2010, click File > Options > Customize Ribbon.

Click

Hello Veronica,
Negotiation Phase is only for Quotes - it does not apply to Sales orders. You need to create a Defaulting Condition template similar to that called 'In Fulfilment Phase' for Sales orders.
Here are the details:
(1) Navigate to Setup >> Rules >> Search for Application='Order Management' and Entity = 'Order Header' >> Once the rules appear click on 'Defaulting Condition template' >> Under 'In Negotiation Phase' create another Validaton template named 'In Fulfillment Phase' >> Enter any Group# >>Under Validation Rules, Select Attribute as 'Transaction Phase' >> Mark it '=' 'Fulfillment' >> Save
(2) Click Tools (top menu option) >> Generate Defaulting Handler package (you can also run the conc program)
(3) Go to the Ordered Date defaulting rule and do as I had mentioned below.

You must go in the labview option menu, you can select 'use the local
separator' in the front side submenu (LV6i).
If you use the "From Exponential/Fract/Eng" vi, you are able to select this
opton (with a boolean) without changing the labview parameters.

You can share the same Apple ID for purchasng form the iTunes and app stores without any problems, but you should all used separate iCloud accounts with separate Apple IDs. (You are not required to use the same ID for iCloud and other services as you do for the iTunes store.) This will prevent you from ending up with merged data. You should also use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime or you will end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.

Performance when OUTER JOINS are used

Hello Everyone,
I have read in asktom.com about the performance of an SQL query when OUTER JOINS are used. I am not able to find the same artical and would like any of you guys to clarify if the sql that I have written would be better or not.
1. I haven't used OUTER JOINS in an SQL query. The query used 3-4 tables.
In those 3-4 tables one table is transaction table (big one) and the other are tables like transaction_type.
2. The transactions tables thas the typ_code and the typ_desc is present in transaction_type. It is one(transaction_type) to many(transactions) relationship
3. And also as all the typ_code of transactions tables has definte value in transaction_types table, I thought of not usng OUTER JOINS.
Would you guys agree with me?

Saved VI file size changes when data is visible on a graph but not the default value

If a VI is saved when data is visible on a graph, the file size is larger; even though the default is set to be a blank graph. I have tested this in LabVIEW 8.6 and 2009. If you load the larger file, the graph is blank as expected. If this behavior is by design, it appears odd to me.
To duplicate the issue:
Create a blank VI.
Add a Sine Waveform VI and set the number of samples to 1,000,000.
Add a Waveform Graph VI that spans the entire monitor and connect it to the output of the Sine Waveform VI.
Save the VI and note the file size.
Run the VI.
Save the VI and compare the size to the original size.
The VI file size is larger.
In the Waveform Graph, select “Reinitialize to default value.
The VI file size returns to It’s original size.

Your obeservation is correct, and expected behavior.
This behavior is useful when you have inputs that you would like to set as defaults for the user.
Obviously, if there is a value to be saved, it will require some memory to store the value.
If the input is left empty by default, that memory is made available again.
It may not be easy to think of a good use for this for a graph, but think about for numeric or string controls.
What if the user isnt sure how they should input a certain parameter or value?
You could store a default value so they could see how they should input their value.

Error uploading Document: "This file is empty" when it's not.

Hi all!
We're using an on-prem SP2013 farm.
We've recently received reports of an error received when trying to upload a document to a library. Specifically the error reads:
"This file is empty and needs content to be uploaded"
This occurs most often when using Chrome and the drag/drop feature to upload the doc.
However, the file is not empty, and if the user tries again a few minutes later, or manually uploads the doc, it works fine.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this as it's starting to really irritate our users?

According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you uploaded documents to SharePoint using drag/drop feature in chrome.
Per my knowledge, we can upload office documents such as word, excel which are empty to SharePoint. But if we upload empty txt files to SharePoint, the error will occur.
Did you try to upload txt files to SharePoint?
Before you upload the files, I recommend to check the size of the files.
I also recommend to check the ULS log located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS to see if anything unexpected occurred.

Text editing box becomes inactive when multiple documents are open?

I have a user that recently has a problem when editing documents. If he has more than one document open the text editor becomes inactive (greyed out). It works fine with just one document open still. Is this 'working as intended' or a glitch in the software. User is running Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. We've tried running a repair on the install but that didn't work. I haven't yet tried uninstall/reinstall - I'd prefer to get more information on this before we try that.

The user isn't editing large portions of documents though.

I have used the touchup tool and that is NOT what I want to open up. I am working with detail Maps. The touchup tool will open up and attempt to “touchup” the detail of the maps and that is Not what I am doing. I am using the “polygon” tool and “text box” tool to circle areas on the map and place labels on these areas for our clients. A simple task of adding lines and text. These are basic mark up tools Adobe offers. These mark up tools are what I am having problems with. I do not intend on converting the maps that are already “scaled” and possibly lose that detail. I explained this to Aaron Rasor as well and he has seen the simple issue. The Basic Mark up tools ghost out and become unavailable when I have more than 1 document opened at once.

Please let me know what browser, OS and Reader version you are using to view the pdf files.
Try downloading the latest version of Adobe Reader from : http://get.adobe.com/reader/
and then try viewing the pdf. Also try viewing the document from a different Browser and check.

Generate or Preview XML when Extending Reader Options using Adobe LiveCycle Designer

I am trying to view the generated xml when reader options are extended. However, when I try to open the reader extended PDF in LiveCycle Designer, it says you will lose reader options. Is there any other way in which I can compare the generated XML before and after extending reader options?
I am having issues processing PDF after extending reader options as the generated xml is generating the following error.
"XmlException was unhandled by user code, Data at the root level is invalid. Line1, position1"

May be you can try this way to get the XML before and after the Reader extensions.
1) Place a Text field with multi line allowed.
2) Place a button on the form with the following in click event.
TextField1.rawValue = xfa.data.saveXML("pretty");
3) Open the form in either Reader/ Acrobat and click on the Button. Save the XML data in a file that was assigned to the TextField.
4) Reader extend the form.
5) Repeat the step 3 again to capture the XML from the form after Reader Extensions.
This way you can get the XML from the form before and after.

Items in Tree control move around when data is submitted using custom ItemRenderer

I'm working on a Tree control with an XMLListCollection as
its dataProvider.
The dataProvider has information looking like this :

I attached the rest of the files because they're a little
bit longer.
When I run the program, the data shows up fine when it is
initialized the
very
first time, and I made a test button that just dumps the
contents of the
dataProvider in a trace statement to verify that the data has
been set
properly.
The problem I've run into is whenever the textfield is
edited, the item
that
I've selected jumps around the list.
For example, if I edit the item "STR_USER_NAME" after I
finish the edit, it
will move from the very first position in the Tree to the
bottom of the
Tree.
I traced the contents of the dataProvider and the
dataProvider structure
stays
the same, with the "STR_USER_NAME" at the top, but if I look
at the flex app
in
the web browser, its position is at the bottom of the Tree.
This happens for every other item I try to edit... I read in
the
documentation
that the ItemRenderers are recycled, so it means I should be
checking to
make
sure the initial states are covered, but I'm not sure how
this affects my
application.
Can anyone help me out with this ? Its very confusing - I've
tried making
an
ItemRenderer using pure actionscript, mxml and the
combination you see in
this
example and I always end up with the same behaviour - So I
must be missing
something critical...

Your set data needs to set a flag that gets picked up in
commitProperties()
and does your thing that you were doing before in
creationComplete. You
should see examples of this in the links I posted. Instead of
this:
_data.@value = inputText.text;
you should look at implementing IDropInListItemRenderer,
which will allow
you to dynamically determine which field to look at, instead
of hardcoding
it. You also might wind up overwriting the stored value with
a null value
when the List passes the stored value in. I'd encourage you
to really go
through those links I posted and make sure you understand
what they're
saying. The itemRenderer life cycle is one of the hardest
things to
understand, but once you understand it, it makes many things
in Flex much
easier. It's worth investing the time.
