Generic Object Services not enabled in MB23 Material Reservation

Hi all,
The Generic Object Services Toolbox is not available in SAP MM transaction MB23 used for accessing Material Reservations. SAP version is 4.7/620.
As its a standard SAP transaction referring to standard business object type BUS2093, so I was expecting that the Object Services will be enabled for this.
Kindly help as to how I can configure the display of Object Services toolbox in this transaction to link attachments. (If its regarding changing some code like including cl_gos_manager or SWU_OBJECT_PUBLISH, then kindly explain in detail.

But I thought the described methdology in the PDF pointed by the URL is for how to do it for any custom business object type, will it be useful for the SAP standard business object as well like BUS2093. When I try to edit an already created SAP object, it starts asking for an access key.

FB03 GOS (Generic Object Services) not working at header level

Hi all,
We have a problem with transaction FB03 when we try to display attached image documents for Fi documents.
At Header level we have no image.
At post level we can see the attached image.
How can we let the display of image list active from Header level.

Hi,
I have same problem but in this case only user specific.
2 users with same authorization. First can park the invoice, attach document and can view after document save. Then he post document and able view attachment added during park.
But other user when upload attachment during park document not able to view same attachment when document is posted. Also strange part is when this user upload new attachment during posting other users are not able to see new attachment he has attached during posting.
I dont see any authorization difference in two except parameter values for F02, F03 and FP is different.
Can anybody tell me how this can be resolved?

Missing Function within VC01N Generic Object Services (simple note)

We want to use the generic object services (GOS) within transaction VC01N. But we are missing the function to enter only a simple note. Behind the GOS Icon within VC01N menu step: Create -> Create note is not available.
This is different to other transactions with GOS functionality like VA02. There the menu step: Create -> Create note is available.
And idea why it is designed in this way and how we can make the simple note function available in CV01N.

Generic object services - Object services toolbox not visible in ECC 6

We recently upgraded from SAP 4.6 C to ECC 6 and are encountering problems in the generic object services in Plant maintenance.
We use this feature extensively in SAP 4.6 C to attach URL links, documents etc.
In ECC6 , In Transaction IL02, IE02, IW32 when i click on the services for object, i don't find the object services toolbox through which you can attach the documents, links etc. It surprisingly disappears. Instead of that we get a toolbar to "AddFileNetImage", ViewFileNetImage, DeleteFileNetImage.
Can this feature be added back to the screen? How is this done? kindly help.

Generic Object Services - Relationships

Hello Everyone,
In 4.6c when i go to VA02 Transaction, i see in the top left corner GENERIC OBJECT SERVICES BUTTON.
This button has options like Create Attachment, Private Notes, Send Object with Note, Relationships, etc.
Using one of the button in this Generic Object services, that is, RELATIONSHIPS i need to see all the Outbound IDocs and all the Inbound IDocs pertaining to that sales order through which we have logged into VA02 transaction.
Right now, the Relationship button is disabled, I need to know how do i enable it and when clicked what do i need to do inorder for the IDocs to be displayed.
This is in 4.6c and not in ECC.

Generic Object Services ; create attachment function grey out in Tcode KA03

Hi all,
I would like to know how can I enable create attachment function in GOS toolbar in Tcode KA03.
Currently it was grey out.
However, was tried to use the same function in KS03 and it works.Please help. Thanks!

Symptom</u>
In the transactions for displaying cost elements (KA03) and changing cost elements (KA02), the 'Services for Object' function does not work correctly, as most Generic Object Services are unavailable.
Other terms
KA03, KA02, SWO1, K_OBJECT_SERVICES_INITIALIZE, BUS1059, BUS1030
Reason and Prerequisites
The problem is caused by a program error.
Solution
Implement the attached program corrections
Then go to Transaction SW01 (Business Object Builder), enter BUS1059 as the object type, click Change, and make the following changes:
Navigate to Methods -> RevenueType.Display, press F2 to select it, and go to the 'ABAP' tab page: Select the 'Transaction' radio button, enter the name as KA03, and click 'Save'
Navigate to Attributes -> Attribute properties, select the 'Mandatory' checkbox, and click 'Save'
Then change the release status by navigating as follows:
Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To implemented
Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To released
Then double-click BUS1059 (or select using F2) in SWO1 to reach the 'General' tab page, which should appear as follows:
ObjectType      BUS1059         Revenue element
Object Name      RevenueType
Program          RBUS1059
Objtype status   generated       Saved      released

Generic Object Services for Custom Object Type

I would like some advice please. I am not an ABAP Developer but I would like to enable the generic object services for transaction PP01 for a custom object type.
I have searched for information, which suggests that the object needs to be published using the function module SWU_OBJECT_PUBLISH so that it is available in the Business Object Repository. If this is correct, please could someone tell me (in simple terms) how I can do this (with the assistance of an ABAP developer)?
My colleague did some debugging which seemed to suggest that in order for the generic object services to be available, the field OBJTYP needs to be populated in table T778O. Is this correct? If so, how should this be done?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Show originally filename in attachment list (generic object services)

Hello everybody,
does anybody know, if it is possible to show the originally filename of a document in the attachment list of generic object services?
If I add more than one document for the same document type in generic object services, I'm not able to distinguish the documents.
When I want to save an attachment to local PC, SAP offers me the originally filename as default. Therefore, the filename has to be saved somewhere...

Your using the wrong object, I don't have access to an SAP system right now, so I can't tell you what the correct object is, but when it's configured correctly in OAC3 it will not be grey out. Best thing to do it see what the object the program is publishing. This is what GOS is looking for. IFARCH21 is not the answer, unless your using workflow

How to create a Generic Object Services for a standard tcode.

We have a requirement where we are depreciating the assets (standard transaction ABAA) using a custom BDC program. We need to maintain a history (called audit trail) for the particular asset that has been depreciated using this program. For this audit train we have been asked to use "Generic Object Services" in transaction code ABAA.
Unfortunately, Generic object services are not available in this transaction code. Can you please suggest me how to create "Generic Object Services" for a particular standard transaction code. Also, we have show the details of custom workflow that follows the approval process in order to depreciate the asset. how to show this workflow details using Generic Services. This is a very critical issue, any help will be very help ful.
Please let me know should you require more information on this topic.

Instead of copyg the std fm to z, do the following,
1. Go to se37 open FM VIEW_KURGV in display mode.
2. Click on the spiral icon on the top.
3. Then in menu go edit->enhancment options -> show implicit enhancement
4. """""""""""""""""""""" kind of lines will appear in the cde, just rt click on the line at the place u want to insert the code and select
enhancement implementation create.
5. Give apropriate name for thi , it will inset a n place to write your code.
This is an std sap methodology and is supported in upgradde also.

Add BUS2009 to generic object services

Hi Experts,
We have header level release strategy to PR approval. We are using BUS2105 delegated to ZBUS2105.
There is another custom workflow has been defined, using BUS2009 delegated to ZBUS2009.
in ME53n, Generic object services I can only see ZBUS2105 Workflows.
Is there any method I can add show both the workflows there.

Ya Arghdip, please elaborate how to instantiate the object inside the workflow design using GenericInstantiate Method of SYSTEM Business Object.
in my case I am getting required entries in table but even thn I am not able to see workflow overview from Generic Object Services.

I am using generic object services for document attachment but i am facing a problem while attaching document to a table control row. my requirement is to attach separate document for each and every row of table control but i am unable to attach document row wise of the table control.for each row GOS should display corresponding attached document not all the attached document.

You haven't explained what object and object key you're using, nor have you provided any indication of how you implemented the GOS attachment functionality. You need to provide more information to resolve an issue like this.

Adding Generic Object Services attachments to PRA trans O3U_DO3

I would like to add the generic object services attachment menu that is found in vf02 - invoice create to the production and revenue accounting module transaction O3U_DO2/O3U_DO3 Maintain/Display DOI Owners. I need the ability to attach external documents through archive link to this transaction. If not possible with generic object services, any other suggestions on how to attach the documents is greatly appreciated.

You need to supply the PC file extension in the container element 'DOCUMENTTYPE'.
swc_set_element lt_message_container 'DOCUMENTTYPE' p_msgtyp.
In your case change the above statement as below:
swc_set_element lt_message_container 'DOCUMENTTYPE' 'pdf'.
<b>OR</b> change the default value of p_msgtyp to 'PDF'.
