Get the handle to the table cell button

Hi,
I need to get a handle to a button which is itself is table cell - please have a look at the xml below.
How do I get a handle to a button which has id "EamSubmitButton" below?
Thank you
Anatoliy
<ui:tableSelection>
<oa:multipleSelection viewName="EAMIssueMaterialResultTableVO" viewAttr="Selectflag" id="FndSelectCheckbox" user:akAttributeCode="FND_SELECT_CHECKBOX" user:akAttributeApplicationId="0">
<ui:contents>
<oa:selectionButton text="Issue" id="EamSubmitButton" textTranslationExpansion="100%" user:akAttributeCode="FNDBUTTONCELL" user:akAttributeApplicationId="0" use="/oracle/apps/fnd/attributesets/Buttons/Submit"/>...

Ajay and Anil,
Thank you for responding.
In my case it is customization (extension, R12.1.1)
I have a custom region with a button A.
And I have a seeded page where I have a table with a button (id=EamSubmitButton) contained within a table cell - this is a piece of xml that I quoted before:
... <oa:selectionButton text="Issue" id="EamSubmitButton" textTranslationExpansion="100%" user:akAttributeCode="FNDBUTTONCELL" user:akAttributeApplicationId="0" use="/oracle/apps/fnd/attributesets/Buttons/Submit"/>
</ui:contents>
</oa:multipleSelection>
I need to toggle Disabled property of button "EamSubmitButton" when button A is clicked.
And I don't know how to get the handle to this "EamSubmitButton" button so that I can set it's Disabled property to true or false.
Normally I would get the handle off the bean by way of webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive.
But this doesn't work in this case. I get null.
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks
Anatoliy

  • Getting text to the top of a table cell

    I'm sorry, I have asked this before but I still have nothing that works.
    In a table I want the text to start at the top of the cell. I can force it with a clear gif and the end, but surely that is not right. It often works OK in Safari and Opera, but not in Firefox or IE.
    I have copied some code below. It seems to me that the text should be aligning top, but it remain vertically centred in live view and all browsers (MAC).

    The default alignment in a table cell is LEFT MIDDLE, i.e., left horizontal and middle vertical.  If you have no specification in your code for anything other than that, then that's what you get.  I see no such specifications in your code, so your symptoms are not surprising.  To make things align to the top of a table cell (in HTML4.01) you would use <td valign="top"> or in XHTML you would use CSS to bring the content to the top of the cell, e.g., <td style="vertical-align:top"> (inline CSS shown for clarity).
    Be aware that text contained within a paragraph or an <h#> tag WILL HAVE A TOP MARGIN, so if you want that text to be flush with the top of the cell, you will have to control that top margin on the container tag, too.
    In your case, I'm assuming that this is one of your attempts to get to the top of the cell -
    <td><h1 class="top">Text test header</h1>
    But we have no idea what rule is specified by the class="top".  At any rate, you will have only affected the alignment of the text within the <h1> tag and not within the table cell by that.  Perhaps <td class="top"> would be better?  But best would be (if you wanted ALL content in the table to be at the top of the cells) to use a descendent selector like -
    table#whatever td { vertical-align:top; }
    and then give that table the id="whatever".

  • How to get the handle of the Validation Failure Message Popups.

    Hi,
    I'm using Jdev 11.1.2.0
    I have added validation rule(less than system date) and failuremessage("date should not after currentdate") on the date field in EO.
    when I enter greated than the sysdate in date field in page, I'm getting validation failure message in a popup with ok button. its working good.
    but when i click on the popup ok button, the focus should go the date field again and it is higlighted.
    So, how to get the handle of the popup's ok buton? and how to highlight the datefield after clicking the popup's ok button?
    Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    thank you.

    if i understood correclty means,
    i hope that, error popup is provided by framework.. how could be possible? to catch the error popup ok button.
    am not well aware of catching the error popup which is provide by framework..
    but i had answer for your part of the question,
    if the condition go off false means you force the cursor into date field. this is can be done using 'javascript'. unless using script you can't do that. ADF doesnt provide any force focusing feature.
    please google how to focus the field.

    Not unless you submit your own custom Future that exposes it.

  • The handler of the client doesn't work

    the client is a java application, and I have add the handler to de handlerchain of the client's registry, but it just doesn't work. What's the matter?
    This is my code:
    String url = "http://127.0.0.1:8080/HelloWorld/HelloWorld?wsdl";
    String namespace = "urn:HelloWorld/wsdl";
    String portName = "HelloWorldSEIPort";
    String serviceName = "HelloWorld";
    QName serviceQN = new QName(namespace, serviceName);
    ServiceFactory serviceFactory = ServiceFactory.newInstance();
    Service service = serviceFactory.createService(new URL(url), serviceQN);
    QName servicePort = new QName(namespace, portName);
    HandlerRegistry registry = service.getHandlerRegistry();
    List handlerChain = new ArrayList();
    HandlerInfo handlerInfo = new HandlerInfo(ClientHandler.class, null, null);
    handlerChain.add(handlerInfo);
    registry.setHandlerChain(servicePort, handlerChain);
    Stub stub = createProxy();
    stub._setProperty(Stub.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY, url);
    hello.HelloWorldSEI hello = (hello.HelloWorldSEI)stub;
    System.out.println(hello.sayHello(args[0]));
    I use the static stub method and generate the web service client with wscompile of the jwsdp. My web service's name is HelloWorld, but it generates several class such as HelloWorld, HelloWorld_Impl, HelloWorldSEIPort, HelloWorldSEI. What's the differences between them. And I want to know what's the type QName is, it's one of the parameters of the registry.setHandlerChain method. Why I have to use QName? And what my service's portName should be. Anyone who can help me? Thanks!
    I use the NetBeans 4.1 beta IDE.

    the client is a java application, and I have add the
    handler to de handlerchain of the client's registry,
    but it just doesn't work. What's the matter? For anyone following the forum who doesn't receive [email protected] email:
    The question was also sent to the users@jwsdp email list and I responded there. Basically, I think the port qnames don't match, so maybe the one passed to the handler registry isn't correct. Without all the code and the wsdl, it's hard to tell. (One note: in jaxrpc 2.0, getting/setting a handler chain for a port that doesn't exist will result in an exception, which may help cut down on problems like this).
    My suggestion was to add the handler to the config.xml file since it is a static stub. This is just a simpler way to do it.
    Cheers,
    Bobby

  • How to access the handle of  the Frame window ?

    How to access the handle of the frame window through out the application ?. I want to display an alert box, while I click the fifth inner child component of the Frame . I am using Dialog Class for the alert box, I have to pass the frame handle to the Dialog constructer, I am getting the handle of the frame by getParent().getParent()......getParent().. But can any one suggest any better solution.

    If you application extends Frame or JFrame, you could simply refer to "this", or if you create a global or final Frame object that you use as your "top-level" component, you could refer to it this way. Additionally, if you're ever in a situation where you really need to go all the way to the top through n levels of components, I believe you could always do something like this...
    // assume myContainer is the "child" component that you're on, and you want to find its top-level parent
    Container c = myContainer;
    while (c.getParent() != null) {
         c = c.getParent();
    }

  • How to get the data from a table cell

    Could somebody suggest me how I can get the data value from a table cell if I set that cell a Double object previously.
    Thanks very much

    Thanks for camickr's information.
    And thanks uhrand,
    I haven't got it sloved. I am sick on this problem.
    I have the methods to let the table editable. My tableModel code is from Sun Tutorial.

  • How to keep the focus in a table cell as long as it is invalid?

    Hello,
    if you run the following code and enter some alphabetic characters in the Integer column,
    you can't get out of the cell as long as focus transfer is within the table. But if you click in the textfield,
    the cell is left invalid. (If you click in the textfield immediately after the false edit, the cell even doesn't
    show the red border)
    I tried to attach a focusListener to the table, but that makes editing the table impossible.
    I also could attach a focusListener to each and every other component of the form,
    and checking the table there in focusGained - but that looks rather awkward.

    A big improvement is to apply
    table.putClientProperty("terminateEditOnFocusLost", Boolean.TRUE);for this at least reverts the erroneous input to the last valid value.
    Still I would prefer either to inform the user of this reversion or to red-border the erroneous cell;
    for sometimes the [OK] button is at the bottom of a long form and putting one's eyes there for
    clicking, one doesn't necessarily notice the reversion which happens at the top.

    Thanks to both of you!
    @Jeanette
    In my real application I use a JFormattedTextField as editor. Checking my overridden stopCellEditing() method I become aware that the contents of JFormattedTextField (getText() or super.getCellEditorValue()) arrives there already reverted. Thus it's no wonder that I cannot return false.
    simply removes the editor on column resizingYikes! - Fortunately the table in question is not resizable.
    SwingX has a NumberEditorExHow would you proceed if you didn't know that class and were looking for it? I still don't manage to navigate successfully on java.net.
    @Walter
    Never thought of this. Seeing that someone is checking for me (red border), I'd rather lazily let him continue doing the job. But a DocumentListener looks like being a way out.

  • What is the trick to selecting table cells?

    I have a table whose construction and styling is underway; it is very hit or miss to select all or part of that table. Can anyone suggest a trick to make table cel selection more certain?
    Sometimes I get the little fat arrow and sometimes I don't..
    thank you!

    If on windows, use the "esc" button to select the cell or the text. If you select a cell, use the arrow keys to select more cells. Whole table, select one cell then "Ctrl A" to select all the table. The fat arrow is the same as the one in Word, it's sometimes driving me crazy too.

  • How to control the force return in table cell data?

    I have some xml format files.When I import them into FrameMaker,They display as table data.but when the data is very long in table cell,I want to control the new line by myself.for example,I add some \r\n in my xml file data,then in FrameMaker,It can identify the \r\n, force return.In framemaker I don't know the actual symbol that means the newline.How Can I deal with the problem?thank you!

    Hi Russ,
    yes, but you have to agree that forcing a return in the SOURCE content is really not a wise thing to do - It would be better to break the content into multiple paragraphs or used an XSLT to determine the column width and insert your own breaks in a version of the XML for rendering in Frame. If, at a later date, your templates in Frame change to allow wider columns in your table, then you'd have to go back into the source code and change every occurrence of the c/r in the data - Yeuch! Better to transform the data once, before importing into Frame and then if the col-width changes it is a simple task to change the width in the XSLT - personally, I would make sure the EDD and DTD allows multi-lines in the table cell and then break-up the data to fit the table cell size in an XSLT before importing. Then you don't taint your source code...and it is quite easy to do this is an XSLT...

  • How to change the colour of a table cell boder?

    I have just changed from Dreamweaver MX t CS5 and cannot find how to add a colour to the borders of a table and table cells.  In the old MX it was easy just selected the colour for border in properties but in CS5 this option is not availble.  Have tried formatting with CSS but this only colurs the outer boarder can anyone help?

    Not sure what you mean by a custom class would it be possible to give me an example?

    on the BO, add the following line:
    [DependentObject(TextCollection)] node Note;
    in some BO action, where the copying happens:
    var noteFromActivity; // contains the note from the activity
    this.Note.Create();
    var el_note_text : elementsof this.Note.Text;
    el_note_text.LanguageCode = LanguageCode.ParseFromString("EN");
    el_note_text.TypeCode.content = "10006";
    var text = this.Note.Create(el_note_text);
    var content = text.TextContent.Create();
    content.Text.content = noteFromActivity.content;
    To display the content of the textcollection, use the following SAP embedded component:
    /SAP_BYD_APPLICATION_UI/Reuse/Notes/singletextlangedit.EC.uicomponent
    In the embedded component properties, set the TextTypeCode property to "10006".
    Bind the embedded component using node reference binding to the BO containing the TextCollection
    Bind the LanguageCode to a data field containing the language code for english.
