Getting automatic updates from database

Hi,
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this as it is databse and Java related, but here goes, please let me know if there is a better place for questions like this.
I currently have a servlet based server using http comm's to a flash movie client, everything is currently working fine, I now need to push data from an oracle database to the client.
I have 2 questions:
1:
Using Oracle, does anyone know the best way to get Oracle to let me know in the Java of a data change? Triggers? I am currently only using Servlets and would like to keep it as simple as possible, only using EJB's etc... if it's the only way.
2:
I have looked into 2 ways of pushing this data to the flash client, one is the standard socket architecture, this is fairly standard and easy to implement and understand, but it needs a port to be open for this comm's, in an internet situation this might be a problem. The other idea is to use a ServletAdapter and keep the http connection from the Flash to the a Servlet open pushing data to the client as needed. Does anyone have any opinions on these 2 ideas?
Any help/discussion on these 2 questions would be greatly appreciated.

i have a working example in 8i, but i cannot understanad it now :( it was a time of experimenting and the rmi, socket and also a class loading thing were all in there!
there were quite a few things to do eg. the triggers, the sqlj, the permissions., not to mention the clients and servers. it may be simpler now but i would not know.
it still runs, i tried it again but difficult for me to explain now and the code is too embarassing to show!
You mention rmi, I now have a trigger working, do you
have any examples or links on how to call Java code
with RMI in Oracle PL/SQL.

Office 365 x64 Click-to-Run Not Automatically Updating from Network Share

We are piloting Office 365 x64 and pointing the clients to a network share (see config file below) for updates. When we subsequently download the updates to the share the clients will not automatically install them. If we manually do so from
within an app (File > Account > Update Options > Update Now) it works fine. The ACL and Sharing permissions allow Everyone and Domain Computers read-only access (in addition to some other ancillary accounts). I've tried manually running
the Office Automatic Updates from Task Scheduler and left the box running overnight. I've rebooted, logged back on, closed and opened the app several times. Nothing happens, just always sits at the current version.
Anyone have any ideas?

It seems when the install finished it added an extra Office\Data to the path. My path should be \\hsbswpush02\GPsoftware\o365\Office\Data\15.0.4551.1005
but it shows
\\hsbswpush02\GPsoftware\o365\Office\Data\Office\Data15.0.4551.1005
If I edit the path and delete the extra Office\Data Office 365 ProPlus updates from my network location. I cannot figure out why it is adding the extra Office\Data to the path.
My config file looks like this:

have you tried omitting the \Office\Data element, from the Updates element ?

If you are using Windows:
You must be logged in from an Administrator account not a Standard account.
Click on START, then Click on CONTROL PANEL, then be sure the View is set to Large Icons not Category.
Click on the Flash Player Icon. The Flash Player Control Panel should come up.
Click on the UPDATES tab. Now you can verify or select automatic updating.

How to get string value from database table using Visual Studio 2005?

Im developing plugin in illustrator cs3 using visual studio 2005. I need to get the values eneterd in database. Im able to get the integer values. But while getting string values it is returning empty value.

As I said in the other thread, this really isn't the place to ask questions about a database API unrelated to the Illustrator SDK. You're far more like to find people familliar with your problem on a forum that is dedicated to answering those kinds of questions instead.

Cannot get all updates from iTunes software

Hello. There is a strange problem.
Sometimes, when I open iTunes from my computer, a small number will be displayed after "Apps".
When I click the "Apps", I can also see that there are some updates available from the bottom link text.
But after I click that bottom link, I cannot get all programs which need to be update listed. When I update all listed, iTunes still says there are some apps to be updated, but when I click that bottom link, only a text "No updates are currently available. To check for updates for another Apple ID, sign in with that Apple ID."
At that time, I can get all updates from my iPhone - Apple Store. So all have to do, is update all apps from my iPhone and sync it back. But if some apps are not installed on this iPhone, I have no way to update it.
BTW, I've tried to click Store - Check for available downloads from iTunes on my computer. It's useless in this case.

It think its a bug. I got the same results under MX 7.0.2.
The topic of maxrows recently came up on another thread. I
did some searching and according to TechNote 18339 there was a
change with maxrow
"<cfquery maxrows=N> bug. ColdFusion MX (until ColdFusion
MX 7.0.1 CHF2) didn't pass maxrows to the underlying driver
(statement.setMaxRows())"
Given the results you're getting, it sounds like CF is
applying the maxrow to all of the resultsets, not just the one
where maxrows was declared. I suspect cfstoredproc's usage of
statement.setMaxRows() is incorrect. Thats just a guess though.
Bottom line, I think you'll need handle it manually.
Personally, I would recommend placing the row count logic in the
stored procedure (if possible). The overall results will be more
consistent and you won't have to worry about this kind of issue
again.

Have a error in getting the values from database randomly

If I reinstall my FCE 3.5 from the original discs, will I be able to get the updates from Apple?

System has begun crashing (dropping-windowshade, message to shut down computer) during attempted capture or render. Hardware has been checked out and is OK. Other OS functions seem to be working. I have a bootable clone from the most recent period of good function, and also my original install disc for FCE.
If I need to try reinstalling FCE, are the updates still available from Apple?
If I can't restore FCE 3.5, is there anything I can use with my OS 4.11 MBP that will be able to access my FCE 3.5 project files? My 3+TB of underwater clips, stored on external drives as QT movies?
Any guidance appreciated. This forum helped me out a lot when I first started - didn't expect the end to come so soon & hope there's a feasible workaround!

Yes, via Software Update
Here is an article on how to Uninstall FCE HD You could also use FCS Remover (note there are different versions depending on what version of OS X you have - be sure to select the correct version)

Do you have a bootable clone from prior to the update? If so, roll back with that.
Are your apps that won't open PPC and do they need Rosetta? Do you need to activate Rosetta?
Have you considered reinstalling 10.6 from your install disc and then coming forward with the 10.6.8 Combo Updater, then doing software update and not including whatever it was you installed that caused this propblem?
By the way - what update was it that caused this problem?

Having heard the problems with 10.1.3, and tho it's too late, it's not too late for the next updates: How do I uncheck automatic updates from App Store?
I've looked and don't see where or how.

How Do You Filter, Or Stop Automatic Updates From Windows or HP to a Windows 8, 2000 Notebook PC.

I would like to know how I can see automatic updates from Windows or HP before they go into my computer? The reason is, is that these auto updates mess up my IE and my printer software. I have a HP 2000 Notebook PC, Windows 8, 64 bit. I would like to be able to filter or see these updates before they go in my computer. Is there anything I can do, or a setting I can set?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP 2000 Notebook and issues Microsoft updates. Here is a fix from Microsoft.
Type Update in the Start Menu search box, select Windows Update from the top of the menu and in Windows Update select Change Settings on the left side of the window.

2) Image r stroed in saparate Drive( Not in Webroot-- where u Created domine )

Windows 2012 r2 not able to get windows updates from WSUS 2012 r2

One of our windows 2012 R2 server is not getting windows updates from WSUS 2012 R2 but other 2012 R2 are getting updates.
I found on windowsupdate log on the server saying "WARNING: Failed to get Network Cost info from NLM, assuming network is NOT metered, error = 0x80240037"
Not sure what is the issue.

I believe the warning isn't really relevant in this case. Could you post a recent section from the windowsupdate.log from that machine?

How to get automatic updates for P750 custom build

I recently purchased a custom built P750 and want to sign up for automatic updates. There is no option for just a P750 which is my complete model number.
8GB ram
I7 2.20GHz
Windows HP SP1 with all updates installed at this time.
How can I get automatic updates for this machine and operating system and if so, how do I get signed up for those?
Should I just choose a model number and pretend it is the model I have? Which number should I choose?
