Getting SuperDrive medium and hardware errors with Toast 7...Help!

Ever since I upgraded (or downgraded) from Panther to Tiger, I have not been able to burn DVDs using Toast Titanium 7. I have burned both to CD and to DVD using iDVD, but no luck with Toast. I keep getting either medium or hardware errors. I have tried several brands of DVD with no luck. The last straw was when I successfully burned a small iMovie to DVD and took the very next DVD in the stack and tried in Toast with the old "hardware error 03" Does anyone have a true fix (other than a new mac)? I have tried numerous system maintenance items, etc. but nothing is working. Here is much detail as I can provide:
1ghz 12" G4 Powerbook with 1.25 gig RAM
Matshita DVD-R UJ-816, Firmware ver. DXJ3 / MM3-C
If anyone knows of a fix, please let me know! Sigh....guess I should have replaced the SuperDrive with a new one when the guts were open for the new HD.

Although my drive is a UJ-845E, it works fine with 7.1.2. Upgrade to that, and if there's still a problem, let's cover it then, as problem characteristics might also change. Hopefully, 7.1.2 will fix it for you.

The biggest lie I bought into is that MOTO is/was supposed to release a software update that is supposed to fix the flip flop 3G to 4G. I talked to a tech tonight at Verizon that was honest enough to tell me that if there was one that was going to be released (within my 14 day period) that they would have been notified of that. Well guess what, he doesn’t have any notices. But every person I talked to at Verizon said there was going to be an update, is it another one of those…no one knows their butt from a hole in the grown or was he telling the truth. Well it makes sense now that when I was talking with the second level tech at MOTO he didn’t know what the heck I was talking about. There’s your proof that the people you call and talk to at Verizon are devious, deceptive jerks and are only out to make money off us and could really care less that you just spent a bundle of money on a piece of cow dung and that their only goal is to keep you tied into the 2 year contract. After talking with the last tech at Verizon that told me there was no notification of a software update coming from MOTO or at least not in the next two weeks, I decided to take back all my accessories to the Verizon store in my area and return the Bionic tomorrow. But guess what, unlike the rest of America where the return policies are 30 days, Verizon also changed the return policies on the accessories too. So I’m stuck with over $100 of “STUFF” that cannot be used on any other phone. My bad, I didn’t have my reading glasses, look 12 inches down the long small print page to see that it said 14 days, when I bought the “STUFF” and I didn’t know that Verizon’s changes applied to the accessories in there stores too. Why is this and issue because Verizon did have me buy another Bionic phone under a new 14 day policy but because I didn’t realize that same policy applied to the hardware at their local stores, I’m stuck with the “STUFF”. Guess what Verizon; you devious, deceptive jerks, what goes around comes around. You are going to get to know me real well in the coming days, weeks, months and years; I’m going to picket until the freakin cows come home and hopefully get on the local news channels too. I'm getting a 400 and 404 error when going to a known good web site. However, right clicking and opening Firefox as administrator, it works & I get no error.

same user account, same session - running Firefox as a standard user, there's one particular website where I get a 400 and 404 error. Closing Firefox then reopening by right clicking and running as administrator it works. Why? I have no extensions and all add-ons are either up to date or if not, have tried disabling with no resolution of problem.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:

I'm using a pc, (windows 8.1,) and I cannot get a thick and thin line with CS6. None of the brush tool settings have any effect, even in the preview. Is there a setting I need because I'm using a pc?

Maybe a bit beside the question, but it is always recommended here to open/save from/to own hard disk, and to copy from/to networks and removable media. You may be lucky, at least for a while, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find AirTrafficHost.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

You can try resetting your iPad and iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

Try restoring the iPod from backup. See the restoring section of the following:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software
If the apps and music are in your itunes library just sync them back to the iPod if necessary. If the apps and music are not in your iTunes library see the following. Not all options are available if you are outside the USA and do not have the latest iOS and iTunes.

Found New Hardware Error with iTunes and Motorola L7 SLVR

I reinstalled iTunes because when I connected my phone via USB I would get an error in Found New Hardware Wizard: There was a problem installing this hardware. Motorola Motorola Phone USB Device. After reinstall, I opened iTunes and no error until it asked me to 'convert my phone for use with iTunes'. Once I said yes, it did something to the phone and then the error re-occurred. I am using the latest version of iTunes.

None of the steps outlined in the referenced document resolved the problem. In addition, simply connecting the iPod to the system now has the added effect of freezing my wireless connectivity. I can still get iPod connectivity to the system, but I'm offline until I reboot again (w/o the iPod connected).
When I try the second set of steps recommended in the attached note ("Disable conflicting System Services and Startup Items"), and had only the iPod selected, the system would not allow a complete boot up at all (kept sending me back to edit the System Services screen). It would then not allow me to restore the system to the selections that were previously on the computer. A mess!!
I ended up doing a complete system restore (back to a prior system configuration) and that corrected the problem. But, of course, I continue to get the error when booting up that "new hardware found".
Any other ideas?

Why am I getting half a dozen "Chrome" errors with v10.0.1?

Since the last update to v10.0.1, running on WinXP, I've been getting half a dozen errors each time I try to open a Firefox window. All seem to involve Chrome, which I have made a practice of trying to keep as far away from my computers as possible. If I have any Chrome add-ons, I didn't know it at the time and have no idea which ones they might be.
And when I say it happens every time, if I'm restarting FF and had two windows open when it closed, then I get the same half dozen errors for each window as it is re-started. And FF will not open until I've clicked to close each error window.

Firefox uses the "chrome" protocol to access its own internal files and also access files from extensions, so that has nothing to do with Google Chrome.

I do not think I missed anything installing NW CE 7.1, but this error makes me think that some plug-in was erroneously left out of the install.
Incidentally, I can continue onward and build an app (this is obviously a tutorial), but when I try to deploy I get the following error:

Further developments: As you may note from the error message, DS is looking for com.sap.ide.metamodel.core.services.eclipse in both the C: and the E: drive at the same time. In fact, this file exists in the E: drive subdirectory listed, so I obviously have an error with two drive designations being concatenated. Does anyone know how I can change the lookup directory for this dependency (or any dependency)?
