Gettting acknowledgement after clicking 'Submit be Email'

Hi
I would like to know how to get a message like 'Thank you for your order'  after filling up all relevant fields and clicking 'Submit by Email' button.
Thanks for the help.

Hi
I have put the code in the button's postSubmit event, I can't get any alert.
I would like to do this to let the person know that he has submitted the form. Is there a way to submit just once, to refrain one from clicking the Submit button a number of times.
Thank you.

  • Livecycle Designer 8 - Is it possible to have button to clear fields after user has clicked submit by email button so user can reuse form to send another response with different answers?

    Users will use form to fill in stats for enquiries so they want to keep form open, complete a form, click button to submit by email, then click another button to clear form, form now ready to accept form's responses.  They dont' want to keep opening form each time form needs to be completed.
    Hope you help.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your response, not sure what you mean by a loop.  I put together
    a draft form to show staff in our Knowledge Centre the sort of thing
    Livecycle Designer can do.
    (See attached file: Library  Request  Form_pub_0001.pdf)
    They are currently writing out on form and manually putting into excel to
    keep stats on the requests.
    Due to current Global Financial Crisis my section does not want to spend
    extra money at the moment seeking assistance from our tech heads.  So we
    are looking for least work no expense option for keeping stats.  I am a PA
    who just happens to have Livecycle program on my computer.
    We use Lotus Notes so I thought the staff could save copy of Library
    request form in the stationery folder.  The staff using the form want to be
    able to do the following:
    1. open the Library request form at the beginning of the day;
    2. when a request comes in, complete the form and click on Send by email
    button
    3. click on a Clear Data button to clear all data from all fields so the
    form is open ready for when the next request comes in.
    Staff are time poor and, as this is only one of their numerous duties, they
    don't want to keep going to a location and opening a file which can be very
    slow on some days
    Each day form may be filled out by approximately 15 staff who may receive
    anything from 0 - 4 requests a day.
    I am not a tech head so script writing is a deep, dark mystery.  Can you
    help using the form above as an example for achieving step 3 above.
    Thanks,

    if i understand this correctly, you just want everything cleared whena

    you can either do it individually:
    on button click:
    mytextField.rawData=""
    or do a loop, using child/paretns..

  • Can we remain in the same state even after clicking submit button?

    Hello All,
    Can we remain in the same stage even after clicking submit button? Also it should remain in the same stage only when certain conditions are met. For eg:
    Condition : In Stage1, CustomFieldA default value is 'No'. To pass from Stage1 to Stage2 the CustomFieldA value should be made to yes.
    Scenario 1 : CustomFieldA value is 'No', and I click on Submit .
    Expected Result : should remain in the same stage
    Is above result achievable in PS 2013? I am creating workflow in Visual Studio 2012, so can I handle this in the workflow?
    Please help.

    The above answer was proved wrong, so please follow this link to get the answer.

  • Left Nav lost after clicking submit button in iView

    Hi Community,
    I created an APC called CreateOrder which implements AbstractPortalComponent. This component acts as controller. In doContent() method, It checks if the create order submit button is clicked or not, if no, it  returns createOrder.jsp page, if yes, it returns createOrderResult.jsp page. Everything works fine except left navigation disapear after I click submit button createOrder.jsp and createOrderResult.jsp shows up.
    by the way I can create a createOrderIview using the APC component, able to see createOrder.jsp page and have result page shows up.
    Anyone know what problem here? any help/sugguestion are very appriciated.

    Make sure your iView isolation mode is set to URL...

  • Compressor stopped working? Nothing happens after clicking submit

    Hope there's a solve for this.
    I open compressor 4.0.3, drag my file in, apply the settings and destination, hit submit, the batch window comes up, cluster is "this computer", I click submit, it shows up in the history panel, but never comes up with a time, eventually says unknown, and never actually does anything.
    Is there a fix for this??

    Assuming you're running either, OS 10.7 or 10.6,  take a look at this.
    Also try re-setting background processing.

    Thanks

    Hi,
    As the submit button is clicked redirect the page to itself using
    pageContext.forwardimmediatelytocurrentpage(null,false,null);
    Now in process request use:
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.OABodyBean;
    OABodyBean oabean = (OABodyBean)pageContext.getRootWebBean();
    oabean.setInitialFocusId("<id of messsage text input>");

  • Email Stamp After a Submit By Email

    Hello,
    I am building fillable form that will be submitted to me by email. i already have the Time Stamp figured out apon clicking the submit button, however i was hoping there is an easy way to pull the Senders email address and stamp it on the form before it gets sent to me. Thank You,
    -Aaron-

    I thought about that but what i am really going for is who is submittting this form, not who is filling it out. And if there is a way to just pull the users email from outlook or something that would be sweet becuase then i could know when exactly the form was submitted and by whom exactly. If there isnt a way thats alright, i was just hoping there would be an easy way to do this.

  • Submit by Email AS a PDF (urgent - time crunch)

    I'm creating a form to be distributed externally to clients via email.  I'd like them to be able to fill in the form, then click Submit by Email and have a completed PDF sent back to me (which we save in clients files for our records in an attempt at paperlessness).  I've got the Submit by Email button in my form now, but apparently the default submission format is XML not PDF.  Is there a way to change this?
    Thanks - Sat

    Paul,
    Appreciating your explanations.
    I never knew that we could submit our form in these many ways.
    Your examples are informative and very useful to me.
    I have another question: Can we close the pdf after submitting the form to an email address??
    I mean, a user fills-in a User Acceptance Form and clicking on submit button. This should trigger an email (internally) and the form should close.
    Is it possible?
    Thanks,
    Nith

  • Multiple signatures, first signs fine, but won't submit via email

    I have a form with three digital signatures. After the first person signs, they click submit to send to the next person who will sign. That person clicks submit after they sign to send the form to HR. However, when the first person signs and clicks submit, the email process opens successfully, but never sends because the message says two signatures are unsigned. This is a true and valid state, but I need the submit button to work even though the additional two signatures to be signed in order.
    FYI, I do have a collections set up on the first two signatures to lock all fields except the signatures and radio buttons on the second signature.
    Thanks for any help available,

    Hi, and thank you for the reply.
    I've already spent several hundred dollars on getting Adobe Acrobat software, and was hoping there was some work-around on this? What did people do before LiveCycle for instance when they needed to get data from submitted forms via email?
    Please don't misunderstand, but as in my example described above, what can a 3rd party do for me (to enable more 'robust rights') that I can't do myself? I'm trying to figure out if I have the software to do it, paid for the software that is "supposed" to do it, why then I need to pay more money to someone else to make the software do what it's supposed to? I sure don't want to have to pay someone to fix it each time I need to make a change in my form for instance...
    I'm confused I guess - I suppose the purpose of my asking on the forum here was to hopefully gain some know-how as how to go about doing this myself vs. paying someone else to do it for me. I want to learn, but just don't know where to start. Or, maybe the software I have just doesn't do what I believed it was capable of doing?
    Guidance and/or suggestions from all on this point would be very appreciated. Thank you.

  • Submit by email not working!!!!

    Hi,
    I made a dynamic form that when you click "submit by email" it opens up a new window in outlook where it attaches the form as a pdf with 3 specified email address. It works fine on my computer but when I send the form out to anyone else- the "submit by email" does nothing. Why is this happening???? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

    You may need to enable usage rights in your form. You must have version 8 to do this. Open the form in Acrobat Pro (not Livecycle), click on Advanced tab, then select "enable usage rights in Adobe Reader"

  • "Submit by Email" Not Working in Lotus Notes

    One of two things happens when the email recipient of my LiveCycle PDF form clicks "Submit by Email":
    1)  The user gets prompted to specify "Submit by Desktop Email Application" or "Internet Email"
    The form instantly reappears in the person's own mailbox, which they can then forward to the correct recipient, who receives it as formmail
    or
    2)  The user gets prompted to specify "Submit by Desktop Email Application" or "Internet Email"
    The form instantly disappears and never reappears, in the sender's email or anywhere else.
    Any help / advice / commisserating comments greatly appreciated!

    Check out: http://www.pdfemail.net/
    PDFEmail.net can send PDF form submissions to any recipient w/o the need to 3rd party client-side email software such as Outlook or Lotus Notes.
    PDFEmail.net creates ASP.net scripts, which you upload to your Microsoft .net web server, and point the submit button's action to the script URL.
    PDFEmail.net works with Adobe Acrobat and LiveCycle PDF forms.
    PDFEmail.net includes 1 year of free technical support.
    No programming neccessary!

  • Read Only form after Submit to Email

    I have a form i'm working on. Basically its a form I like for users to fill out and then click submit once they are done to send it in an email. The script i found below does what I want but with further testing i found out it's not exactly what I want. Basically it will make all the fields in my form Read only once the Submit button is clicked. Problem is that if you hit Submit and then realized you need to go back and make a change, you can't. The trigger to Read Only is when you click Submit. Is there a way I can do the lock down once the receipient receives the form? I'm a noob so please go easy with the responses =) thank you all in advance!
    Mike
    I found some documentation that says to not change the form in ready:layout event (which what I was doing with the "readOnly", so I placed the following code (to make all fields readOnly) in the Button's mouseDown event.
    // Get the field containers from each page.
    for (var i = 0; i < xfa.host.numPages; i++) {
    var oFields = xfa.layout.pageContent(i, "field");
    var nodesLength = oFields.length;
    // Set the access type.
    for (var j = 0; j < nodesLength; j++) {
    var oItem = oFields.item(j);
    if (oItem != this) {
    oItem.access = "readOnly";

    bind the all the field to managed bean.
    Write a action method of button .in method get all the fields and make readonly to true.
    add partialtrigger programmaticly
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(this.field1);

    Please tell me the solution as soon as possible and i am able to remove the build.

    You have used Xcode 6.1 and it is a valid version, so you should not have any problem. Anyway, if there is any problem, Apple will contact with you to fix it before your app is published.

    Hi;
    That is not a workflow that is supported by the Adobe forms solutions at this time.
