GL balance for vendor is greater than vendor balance

Hi,
I have an intercompany Account. The GL Balance (FS10N) of the intercompany account is greater than the Vendor Balance(Intercompany balance FK10N). Kindly let me know, how should I check the line items in GL Balance. Double clicking the balance cannot display line item.
Quick reply will be appreciated.
Thanks & Regards

Hi
Inter-company GL account is a reconciliation account and it can be the same GL account for multiple Vendors. Please check the balances of all the inter-company vendors in the company code that has this reconciliation account. You can a list of all such vendors from table LFB1 and Field AKONT (recon Account).
If there is still an imbalance then please look up for the closing balance for the previous period and the opening balance of the current period in FS10n. There is a slim possibility that items were posted to this account after rolling forward the balance.

  • Amount to credit greater than credit balance - goods return to AP Cred Note

    Hi All,
    I've got the following scenario:
    We have a AP Goods Return on the system which totals £12.94 with freight charges of -£3.75. We have copied this to a AP Credit Note, but have amended the freight from -£3.75 to -£3.00(UK VAT Rate 15% applicable throughout). The total credit field now shows £13.80 and the credit balance field shows £12.94. When you try to add the document it gives an error "amount to credit greater than credit balance". I'm using 2005A PL53.
    Can anyone please advise the reason behind the error and also what the correct way of handling this kind of transaction would be?
    Kind regards,
    Matt

    Hi Wesley,
    I tried both methods and it doesn't resolve the issue. Spoke to SAP, they gave me a solution and workaround, the issue is a bit more complicated as what it may seem. You manually have to close the goods return, create a standalone service credit note with the appropriate GL account to reverse out the "goods clearing account" entry created by the reversal journal. The bahaviour has been changed in SBO 2007 and therefore the problem is not present in this version anymore. Thanks for your help anyway.
    Kind regards,
    Matt

  • Recieve a value and search for a value greater than item

    is this code correct if i wanted to recieve a single argument item and search the list for a value greater than item
    public boolean greaterFound(Comparable item)
         int index = 0;
      while (index < numItems && listItems[index].compareTo(item) != 0)
          index++;
      return ((index-1) < (index));
    }

    Okay here are all the errors piece by piece.
    public boolean greaterFound(Comparable item)
         int index = 0;Well to start with this is not an error per se. But I would just return true if I found a match and false otherwise. There may be some who think that is terrible... I disagree.
      while (index < numItems && listItems[index].compareTo(item) != 0)What is numItems?
    That if is shady.
    What you are checking for is flat out wrong.
          index++;I'd be returning true here
    return ((index-1) < (index));This is just nonsense. As it stands will always return true and invalidates the rest of your code.

  • Component Qty in PO for Subcontracting is greater than available in stock

    Dear Gurus,
    i have an issue regarding Subcontracting. When i create a Purchase Order, i use Item Category L. In the Compoenent i specify the material and the Requirement Quantity. Req Qty which i specify in PO is greater than the Qty available in Stock.
    How do i restrict the user to enter only the Quantity that is available in Stock for the Component provided to the Vendor.
    Thanks,
    Johi.

    the next MRP run will create a requisition or planned order  to get more quantity for the component., if you are short of material.
    do you just plan to produce as much as you have components for, or do you plan to satisfy a customers need?

  • How to get Open Balance for the year and Total Ending Balance?

    For a given account, how to get Open Balance for the year (Cumulative Ending Balance) and Total Ending Balance (Cumulative Ending Balance)?
    Is there any function module available? or should I read from some tables? Please advice.

    Hello Paul,
    You could try calling one of the following BAPIs - see which one meets your requirement. They are documented well so shouldn't be a problem finding out the correct one for your requirements.
    BAPI_GL_GETGLACCBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_GETGLACCCURRENTBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_ACC_GETBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_ACC_GETCURRENTBALANCE
    BAPI_GL_ACC_GETPERIODBALANCES
    BAPI_COND_VAL_DECRE_BALANCES
    You might have to put in some of your own logic after the BAPI call to get what you want.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    Sougata.

  • GR Page headers empty for 1st page for Long Text greated than 26 lines

    Gurus,
    I have this wierd problem on my GR. I added the following code and corresponding fetches in the printprogram to include PO Item long texts in the GR.
    /: INCLUDE &T166P-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166P-TDOBJECT& ID &T166P-TDID& LANGUAGE E PARAGRAPH Z8 NEW-PARAGRAPH Z8
    When the text is upto 26 lines, everything seems fine. But when it is more than 26 lines and usually a new page needs to be created, all the dynamic texts like PO number, Buyer name, Plant name etc. in the header of the 1st page is blank. But all the details in the second page seem to apprear fine.
    Any suggestions on where to or what to look for to solve this problem?
    I'd appreciate any help with this problem.
    Thanks
    L

    Yes...the way the current print program works is that the header and footer contains information like PO number dat, buyer, isuued by etc and these will print on each page that is created. These are populated prior to the area where write forms for Main are issued.
    The main page contains the Item related information. I have added a code where the long text is also obtained before all the write forms. I then issue write form in the same subroutine where other Main-related write forms are coded.

  • Text Remarks ofLength greater than 60

    Hi  Everyone,
                      I have a requirement where  I need to pull a field called Remarks from ECC System and it is a Long Text. As , it is , Long Text will not be stored in a Table. So , there is a R/3 Function Module using which we can get the data for Remarks.
    This Remarks is for SO ITEM.
    Now, i plan to somehow build a Genric Extractor for this Remarks and get into BI.
    But BI InfoObject has only 60 as the maximum length. So how is this going to be possible.
    Can anyone throw some Light on  Extracting Long Tests from ECC as well as The Modeling Part. I am new to this scenario.
    Regards,
    Samir

    Hi Samir,
    As this field Remark is for SO Item, for the extraction part you can explore the option for enhancing the Standard LO extractor , for the new field. in the CMOD code you can call the function module and populate the field.
    For the length greater than 60 issue. The DS and PSA will allow you to store value for records greater than 60. will storing in the data target you will have to split the field in the different infoobject of length 60 each. You'll have to get a confirmation on the maximum length so as to anticipate the number of infoobjects required. Spliititng will be done at the transformation level. using simple ABAP code of string operation 0(60) & 61(60).
    For display in report their are option avaiable in BSP code. Please check the Article below for more details:

    Hope this helps.

    Service entry entered , quantity 1, amount 1000.00. GR amount 1000.00

    another Service entry is entered, quantity 999, amount 999.00. GR amount 999.00
    After these 2 service entries, the PO quantity is 1000, price 1, PO amount 1000.00 and service entry amount of 1999.00
    The invoices are received and no blocked for payment.
    Any idea of what to do?
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Message M8 -081( for quantities invoiced greater than goods receipt quantity) is set as E (error) in OMRM & OBMSG t.codes.
    Please check again in your system,1st try in sandbox,then do in DEV client & transport TR and then test in testing client.
    Also try setting error messages for SE-363 & SE-781 in following path:
    SPRO- >Material Management->External Services Management->Define Attributes of System Messages
    After check & setting all, go for fresh  transactions.

    Hi,
    There are various t. code to check line items for vendor like: S_ALR_87012103 but Any table is not helping to check opening/closeing balance for vendor.

  • How to enter opening balance for GL A/C(Ex. Bank A/C, Cash A/C, Vendor A/C)

    Hi Expert,
    How to enter opening balance for last year to closing balance to this year opening balance explain deeply helpful for me Thanks in advance.
    Example
    All Bank A/C, Cash Book, Vendors, Customers, like that how to enter closing to opening balance.
    With Warm regards,
    Selva

    Dear,
    As per SAP standard there is no need to carry forward the balances as the system will do a virtual carry forward into next year opening without creating any FI documents.
    If your business scenario demands then you can use the transaction code F-02 for posting a carry forward balances, this will not effect any of your balances but only creates a FI document.
    If your R3 version is SAP ECC5 or 6 then use the transaction code FAGLGVTR

  • Vendor Trial Balance for a Profit Center

    Hi
    We are on ECC 6.0 and created plants as a profit center. Now, need to develop a custom report for getting vendor trial balance for a profit center. The standard report FK10N does not provide the balance for a profit center. However, while pulling the data from BSEG, system is pulling all the Line Items, when I filter on GL Account Number (BSEG-HKONT), which i can then filter on Profit Center (PRCTR). However, when i fetch the same data on a combination of GL Account Number (BSEG-HKONT) = 304000 and Profit Center (BSEG-PRCTR) = USUR, system shows only certain line items, even though the Line Items are there in the table BSEG. Pl suggest

    Hi
    Use TCOD FGI0 for more drilldown report on GL, Vendor, Customer.
    Thanks
