GL Budget Datasource

Hi All,
I have a report Expenditure by GL account which requires Actual, Budget, & Forecast values.
1. What datasources are required.
2. There is a requirement of WBS Element which is available in 0FI_GL_4 datasource for other reports can I use this datasource along with other datasources.
Overall what datasources will be required to achive this report.

Thanks for the responses. Can I derive the budget & forecast from the new GL datasource (0FI_GL_14) as it also has WBS element.
Or
A combination of 0FI_GL_4 and cost centre budget 0CO_OM_CCA_7 (Cost Centre : Budget) could give a actuals from GL and plan & forecast from cost centre budget data-source.

Specific reports take longer to execute

We have three reports that take almost 5 minutes to run. They do bring back the proper data once finished.
this suddenly happened since last friday and they are our power reports.
Two reports are part of a batch process and now do not complete with this error from email output:
Error executing query: [ourserver name]/[appname]/[dbname]/[batchuserID]/Error(1013009) Administrator Has Temporarily Disabled User Commands
I have tried to rename the reports but to no avail.
I don't want to rebuild this reports and I could restore BIPLUS to development, export then import but looking to see if there are other avenues to go down to see where the bottleneck might be occuring.

Ok rebuilt the essbase db and things are flying but I am getting this error when I run our batch report via workspace and not batch scheduler?
Anyone see this error?

BW Datasource for Internal Order and Budget

Hi Gurus,
I would like to ask what datasource I can use for FICO specifically for Internal Orders and Budget. I have looked at all the datasources under the CO node but i can't seem to find a datasource that has the details for the Internal Order and for the Budget.

IS-U DataSource for Budget Billing Plan (table EABP) available?

Thanks for your answer.
We decided to create a generic datasource with deltamechanism on creation date and change date. We created a DS with Function Module for this.
However, when a Budget Billing Plan is deleted in IS-U it's deleted from table EABP.
Thus this deletion never flows into BI, leaving the deleted BBP in BI.
Any idea how to solve this?

Budget vs Actual data Datasource in Funds Management

We are not able to find the correct datasource for Budget (Vs) Actual in Funds Management in R/3. We have activated most of the existing datasources and checked but could not find any data for the Value Type 'Actual'. Where can we find this?

value type 70 - Actual and commitment.You should put restriction on 0FM_ACTDETL - Commitments and Actuals Detailing in Funds Management with values like ( 140 Invoice,110 -Transfer posting, and 160 Actual transfer)

BEX : report with real and budget on the same line

Hi everyone,
I need to create a Bex report showing on the same line :
- budget WBS element stored in a DSO (DataSource 0CO_OM_WBS_1)
- used amount stored in another DSO (DataSource 0FI_GL_4)
Data are stored in 2 different DSOs.
If a create a multiprovided with both DSOs I will get 2 lines in my report as axes are different,no ?

Hi,
You can make use of infoset.You can also do a lookup from one dso to another ant transport the values in one dso.So by doin this alll your values will be stored in one place and then you can show the values in one line in report.
Please also give me the idea of keyfields of both dso's.
You can also use constant selection in report if you are using multiprovider through this to some extenet you can solve the problem of values in coming in two lines.

Problem with General Ledger Budget Load

Hi All,
We are experiencing an issue wherein the Budget figures for general ledger are incorrect in the cube. The data-flow is 0FI_GL_10 to DSO (daily delta) to Cube (daily delta). There is a singular DSO and Cube for Actuals and Budgets. The figures in the DSO tally with R3. The delta from the DSO to the Cube is using Active Data Table of the DSO using DTP. The contents of the cube are exactly similar to those of Active Data Table i.e the new and old records both reach the cube and hence the inconsistency. I tried to do a selective deletion for a particular fiscal period from the cube and then doing a full update using both the Active Data and Change Log tables but the results are still the same. All key figures u2013 0BALANCE, 0DEBIT and 0CREDIT look affected. My questions are u2013
Is using Active Data Table rather than Change Logs for delta the reason behind this ?
Why is it only the Budget that is affected, Actuals and other versions look fine.
Do we need a different data-flow (like a daily delete and load into a separate cube) for Budgets ? Does SAP suggest something specifically for Budget loads.
Why does selective deletion for a particular fiscal period not working, do I need to do it for the entire fiscal year ?
Your expert opinion on this is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dear Folks,
I have crystal report 10 and MS access, I need to change my datasource location at runtime without having to type code other than crystal report like VB or C++, Do crystal report have this possibility to change datasource location at runtime without needing to code other than crystal report ???
Basicly I have multiple MS access database files and need one Crystal report to read from all of them at the same time, how can I do that without coding in a language other than crystal report.

Get a copy of BO Server and use a Business View. Don't know of any way in Crystal Reports itself. BO Server is good but it ain't cheap. Depends on how many users you have and what sort of budget you have. I'm using it here and it has a lot of benefits. Alternatively build a data warehouse just for reporting using a proper DB engine and get a single report off that. Use something like MySQL - fast, and above all - free! If you don't need bang-up-to-the-second reports then run a scheduled data extraction and upload over night, load the data into the new warehouse and then run your reports against it. I'm in the process of doing just that. Read Ralph Kimball's books "The Data Warehouse Toolkit" and "The Data Warehouse ETL Toolkit" to get the idea. The MySQL forum has a good Data Warehouse section. A warehouse also gives you many advantages in that your production databases are not too heavily loaded, all your data conforms to set standards (eg data formats are all the same) and you have a historical record that can build over the years to many GB of data - I think Access will struggle with that ;0) - to name but a few. Hope this helps. BTW - thought of this last night - MySQL also has the Federated engine - so you could hook all your databases into it and query it with Crystal as though they were a single database. Not sure if it'll connect to Access though.

New GL Budget rate ledger

We have 2 seperate ledgers maintained for Leading ledger & Budget rate. (New GL)
I am aware that 0FI_GL_14 will extract all line item from leading ledger only.
Which Datasource should we use for Budget Rate?
SAP suggests that we should use 3FI_GL_XX_SI extractors for enhancement package 3 and above. Please refer to below link

but we are not able to generate datasource as system is throwing error that "Extractors for general ledger documents are not yet supported". Is there any settings we need to maintain?
Any other suggestions on this?

Prerequisites
In Customizing of the OLTP system, you have activated new General Ledger Accounting under Financial Accounting Financial Accounting Global Settings .
The generated extractors use extract structure FAGLPOSBW.
You can check this structure in SE11 as wee. Take help from functional if required for SPRO settings.
Check the FAGLFLEXT table and confirm with functional team whether it is maintaining the required budget data or any ztable is being used.
Are you following the steps correctly like
ECC - Tcode FAGLBW03 and then find your table and double click and generate the datasource.

General Ledger Budget Extractor

There isn't any standard extractors for planned (budgeted) General Ledger values, per se. If these budgeted values are posted as accruals, to future Fiscal Year/Periods, to the General Ledger in your R3/ECC source environment, the standard content DataSources for General Ledger will pickup that data.
If the General Ledger budgeted values aren't being posted as accruals to future Fiscal Year/Periods, then where are they being posted to in your source R3/ECC environment?

Processing overdue error during delta extraction from datasource 0CO_OM_CCA

Hi,
I'm getting "Processing overdue error" in BW while extracting delta from datasource 0CO_OM_CCA_9. all other extraction jobs from R3 -> BW are successful. Even Delta init on this datasource is successful & problem is only with delta package.
I appreciate if someone could provide information based on the following error details on this issue.
here are the extraction steps we followed.
Full load of fiscal years 2006 & 2007 Into transactional cube.
load budget data into transactional cube.
compression of the cube with "0 elimination"
Delta Initialization with fiscal period selections 1/2008 to 12/9999
all the above steps were successful.
and when delta package is scheduled, we are getting following errors.
BW system log
BW Monitoring job is turning red with following message.
Technical : Processing is overdue
Processing Step : Call to BW
Sending packages from OLTP to BW lead to errors
Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to the SAP BW using RFC.
System response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in
the ALE inbox of the SAP BW.
Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can get to this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Removing errors:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is completely
connected to the SAP BW. Check especially the authorizations of the
background user in the source system.
R3 Job Log
Even after BW job turns to red, R3 job continues to run for 2 hours and
eventually gets cancelled with an ABAP dump & here is the log.

Hi Hari,
We were recently having similar problems with the delta for CCA_9. And activating index 4 on COEP resolved our issues.
Yes, by default there is a 2 hour safety interval for the CCA_9 DataSource. You could run this extractor hourly but at the time of extraction you will only be pulling postings through 2 hours prior to extraction time. This can be changed for testing purposes but SAP strongly discourages changing this interval in a production environment. SAP does provide an alternative described in OSS note 553561. You may check out this note to see if it would work for your scenario.

Use 0CO_OM_WBS_1 to get actual/plan/commitment costs related to projects .
This datasource is not delta enabled.
But if you need only actual costs then use 0CO_OM_WBS_6.
But 0PS_C04 can be used along with the datasurces mentioned.

Documents Update method and datasources

I ve done a piece of code for updating an UDF at level line of an order when a target delivery is added. The update must be done when BeforeAction is true. This way when the user adds a new delivery, the code will update the lines of the base orders (base order of each line) and after that BO will do its updates (like closing the line if it's nedeed). For doing this i use the datasources of the form for reading the intformation, due to BeforeAction is true and the actual document is not still added. The problem is that the update method (of the order) doesn`t finish and i don`t receive any exception. Other way, if i don´t use the datasources for reading the information (if i do it using UI API), the update method works well. This is the method using DataSource:

I'm only exploring the business object (documents) order and the form at the same time. But this code throw this error (no sense):
"Another user-modified table budget OBGT (ODBC 2039) Message 131-283"
I've not used the table budget.
I think that the problem is related with mtx.GetLineData() because when i comment the line the error doesn't appear but, of course, the method doesn't work properly. It seems like some transaction doesn't finish and the update doesn't work due to that.
The same code using UI API instead of DbDataSources works well again:

FM budget Vs PS budget

Hello All,
Could somebody guide me what is the advantage of controlling Project/ WBS with FM budget and how with any example.
As far as my understanding, we take up PS budget functioanlity for capex and FM for other overhead kind of cost...is this correct?
Will there be any impact if I maitain both FM and PS budgets in parallel.
Will Investment management can suffice the same requirement as FM does when used with PS?
