Grading SCORM content on SharePoint with SLK (SharePoint Learning Kit)

Hi everyone,
My name is Kevin and I am currently working in a company to develop E-Learning materials to help train new hires. I am using Articulate Storyline to make quiz content and uploading the content to SharePoint with the SharePoint Learning Kit SLK. Here is some
information that you can follow and hopefully help me with configuring SLK to grade my Articulate quizzes.
First, I want to outline the progress I have currently made so that anybody can see if the problems I have are due to things I already did:
Used Articulate Storyline to make Presentations with Quiz questions in them that are graded and reviewed at the end of the Presentation
Published the Storylines to LMS in SCORM 2004 format and saved to my computer
Took each published Storyline and made .zip files
Uploaded .zip files to SharePoint 2010 with SLK (SharePoint Learning Kit). Can assign Learners with .zip files as long as they download them, extract them, and find the ‘story.swf’ flash file that runs the Presentation so they can go through the Storylines,
answer quiz questions, and receive a quiz grade at the end of them
The issue is that after downloading each .zip file, running the Presentation, and finishing the Quiz questions at the end of them, the information cannot be stored or saved and re-submitted to SLK which should then automatically read the Quiz progress and
log in a grade as well as log in completion of the assignment due to passing grades.
The questions at hand are:
How to save or store graded information from the Presentations so that they can be submitted to SLK?
How to make sure SLK takes in the graded information submitted from the Presentations automatically, store it, and reveal them?
How to make sure SLK determines assignment completion and passing assignments grade-wise?
I watched videos of how SLK grades the quiz content and I think that will work, but I think my main issue is saving that quiz content and getting to submit to SLK for grading.

Firstly I am new to SharePoint support so apologise if I am re-treading old ground.
We are using SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SLK 1.5.2.
When accessing the “E-Leaning Actions”, “Assign To Site” or “Assing To Self” menu options I get “Error: Access Denied”, “You are currently signed in as : XXXX”,“Sign in as a different user”.

OLM Scorm Content Viewing Problem

Hello,
We are on R12.0.6 and have a SCORM content (swf) loaded with CMI tracking type.
In the system some of the users can view the content without any errors but some get LMS connection error from the content itself (the content provider's error handling screen we can say) . Thus the problem is not for all the users I've focudes on local settings but still could not figure out the cause.
Are there any browser or local setting rules such as "Scripting should be enabled","Adobe Flash should be version 8 or higher" etc that may cause this?

Have you ensure that the users encountering errors have Java installed and enabled in their browser?
You can have those users go to http://www.javatester.org/version.html to check what version they have installed if any and if it is enabled.
That most likely is the cause.

Language conversion for the sharepoint content in sharepoint in sharepoint 2013

I have installed language pack such as Portugese and Hindi. Every site is converted to their respective language as per browser language settings.
But content in a sharepoint page like artice page, remains in english only.
Please help me on , how to change the content of sharepoint page.

I have tried machine translation also but got error about permission.
Machine translation of package /sites/OLAMP/Translation Packages/SHAREPOINT_system/hi-in-Pages-20140922T0712450000Z-0/hi-in-Pages-0001.xlf failed with error message: The file could not be downloaded from the SharePoint library because the user's permissions
have changed. Please contact your system administrator to determine how permissions can be restored..
I am not getting where which permission is changed.

Error With SCORM Content W Latest Version of Sun Java (1.6.0_10)

We're getting an error with users running the more recent version of Sun Java 1.6.0_10, but not with previous versions. This happens for all our SCORM content.
The Java logs are showing a lot of data, but the main symptoms seem to be:
network: CrossDomainXML: connection to host <our LMS server address> denied
LMS Error: 304 - Security exception
and
Error stack trace:
oracle.apps.ota.lms.LMSException: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission <our LMS server address> connect,resolve)
and
Returned: "false"
*** LMSGetLastError() [Thu Oct 09 10:56:35 EDT 2008]
Returned: "304"
*** LMSGetErrorString("304") [Thu Oct 09 10:56:35 EDT 2008]
Returned: "Security exception"
Our crossdomain.xml fille is configured correctly, and also previous versions of JRE are not having the problem (the Java logs look clean).
Does anyone have any thoughts?

Got a similar issue with the tracking / bookmarking of sessions - when on sun Java update 7 all is well however when update 10 or 11 is installed then SCROM session start on page 1 not the page you were on, also as expected they do not get marked as complete.
Two things happen
1) A small window is left for - [http://riti04.cornwall.nhs.uk:7780/ilearn/en/learner/jsp/relogin.jsp] - URL
2) We get an Error on page - [http://riti04.cornwall.nhs.uk:7780/ilearn/en/learner/jsp/lms.jsp] - URL
Looked for the Plugin section as per a pervious within the Java Control panel - but I'm not seeing it.
We use iLearn 5.0 and I am begining to think we need a patch but unsure which.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to publish changed site content/stucture etc from Dev tenant to QA tenant to prod tenant.
In SharePoint On-Premise, we can backup and store the content database to move content in different environments.

Looking for a SCORM Player or LMS to run Captivate SCORM content (in place of Blackboard 9.1)

Background:
We are trying to run Captivate produced SCORM 1.2 in Blackboard 9.1 and are running into several problems (See http://discussions.blackboard.com/forums/p/49773/152443.aspx Please post any solutions to the problems described in that thread in that thread rather than here).
One of the options we are considering is playing and tracking our SCORM content in a separte LMS or with a different SCORM player.
The question:
Can anybody recommend any (ideally free) LMS or SCORM players that have been tested to work with Captivate CS5?

Thanks, that's helpful. Moodle looks like an option then; the challenge will be finding a way to integrate the Moodle SCORM player with Blackboard.
What other LMSs or SCOPRM players are people using successfully (or unsucessfully) with Captivate? is anybody else using Moodle?
I'm espeically keen to hear from anybody who has found a free SCORM player and integrated it with their LMS/VLE and got it to play and track captivate content well. Has anybody tried integrating the Reload player with thier LMS and running a Captivate SCORM?

SCORM Content metadata can be imported but content files cannot be uploaded

Hi all,
When I try to import SCORM content via a zip file, the metadata is loaded but not the files. We are running 12.1.3 of the OEBS and this is occurring with Oracle Learning Management.
The my oracle support article, Installing SCORM Compliant Content on Oracle Learning Management [ID 374715.1] refers to this issue in the troubleshooting section and suggests that we look at Article ID#374677.1, but this new article has no resolution that I can find to the issue.
Any ideas from the community?

Issue Playing SCORM Content on iLearning 5.0b

Hey there - anyone else have an issue playing SCORM content on iLearning 5.0b where you have a version of Sun JRE later than 10 and the "Enable next generation Java plugin" setting in its control panel checked (which is the default on install)?
We experienced this issue with OLM and Oracle issued a patch and updated SCORM adapter that fixed the issue for our OLM instance but I can't seem to find anything related to an updated iLearning SCORM adapter.

SCORM Content

Does any one know of "top down" & "bottom up" Scorm Content ? I am new to this and did not understand how does this work. If there is any document for the same do pass it on to me.

It's not that the content itself that is "top down" or "bottom up" per se, it's the mechanism in which the content uses to find the SCORM API which enables communication between the content and the LMS... and perhaps "outside in" vs. "inside out" are better terms. Typically the javascript functions used to locate the SCORM API are in a javascript file like APIFunctions.js or SCOFunctions.js and are typically named "FindAPI" and "GetAPI" Depending on how the functions are written, they will either start at the top/outermost section of the browser window hierarchy, working it's way inward through frames to locate the API, or it will start from the innermost frame and work its way outward to find the API.
"Inside out" is the preferred mechanism, especially if the content is on a different server from the LMS and the content is being played within Oracle iLearning/OLM's player framset. Fortunately, in both Oracle iLearning and OLM, a feature was added in case to allow the content to open in a separate window from the player (a property at the learning object level in both products that can be set), so that if the content is looking from the outside in, the content will work fine with either product without changing those functions.
The only downside is that you have a second window open displaying the content, rather than the content being displayed directly in the player window itself....
The feature to open the content in a new window is available as a patch for both products on metalink.

Do our users have to install Flash player to see our scorm content?

I am currently creating a scorm content using Captivate 5.5 within Moodle.
My question is do our users have to pre-install Flash player to see our scorm module?
If so, is there any way we can avoid it?
One idea that I thought of is to install flash player on a moodle server.
Is it possible to do so, or this is something that I do not need to worry about?

Hi Sami,
I think, It's hard to find any user who might not have Flash Player already install on their browser.
Google Chrome has it inbuilt and most of the browser they get installed as a plug-in.
Not just for your course, every user would need Flash Player that for view several websites (say YouTube )and failing that they wont be able to see Flash enabled content.
I would suggest that do not worry about the Flash plugin as almost all users would have it already.
With Captivate 6, you also have an option of using HTML 5 as published output not just flash!

Not Attempted page on scorm content

I' ve import scorm content, create offering and publish it. But when a user tryng to access the page, it always displays a 'Not Attempted' page, with a 'Home' link. Whats wrong ? Any idea ?
