Great Technical Support from Jorge and Kevin Smith

I recently had an "oops" moment and long story short, I had to have Verizon recover my number and add my phone back to my account.  I had talked to five different people within the last 48 hours about this issue and nobody seemed to fully understand my situation until I called again and was greeted by Jorge.  He was so helpful.  He understood my concerns and my "issues" even better than I did.  LOL  We were on the phone for at least 45 minutes, but he stuck with it and contacted who he knew could help which was a Great Winback-Kevin "Mike" Smith.  Two other people told Jorge that what I needed to be done, couldn't be done, so he called on his buddy "Mike" and sure enough "Mike" got everything squared away.  Now, I know I will never do something silly, again and need their expertise, but I know that I will definately remember Jorge and "Mike" if i ever do find myself in a bad situation with my Verizon phone, again.  These two gentlemen definately deserve many, many kudos for thier hard work and dediction to their customers.  This is one happy Verizon Customer right now.     Thanks so much, Jorge and "Mike".  Take care and pat yourselves on the back because you both deserve it immensely.

    That PKGBUILD doesn't work, primarily because _svnmod is not set correctly.  The remaining problems are mostly down to not being in the $srcdir directory when checking out the ImageMagick source.  It's also good practice to copy the source and do the build in the copy.  That way, it will be possible to successfully update the source and rebuild the package at a later date.  Otherwise, the PKGBUILD certainly works with the following modifications but I've no idea whether the package is viable because I didn't try installing and testing it.

  • No Personal Technical Support from Apple for iTunes on a new 64bit systems.

    When I attempt to import the well organized Music folder located on my from C drive only 6 out 10 gigs are copied. Even worse, many of the iTune converted files are duplicates.
    It is a long process to manually identify and delete each duplicate.
    I was pleased to see that there is a view duplicate under the view tab. I was disappointed to discover there is no button to simply delete the dupes.
    I have downloaded and run the patch for Windows Vista (7.2). I have deleted all the files from iTunes and imported again. Each time I get a similar duplication problem, but how many of my songs it (randomly) downloads varies. It is always way less than I have in the windows folder.
    I am converting most of these files from .wma to mp3 format.
    Since the help line informs me that they do not support computers that run a 64 bit system is there anyone out here in cyberspace that has any constructive advice?

    Sometimes importing problems can be worked around by doing less files at a time. Try doing 100-200 at a time instead of telling it to do all of them.

  • Unable to uninstall Apple mobile device support from Programs and features using Windows 7 on PC.

    I've uninstalled all Apple software and reinstalled iTunes but everytime I try to connect my device to the PC I get a message saying to uninstall iTunes and AMDS but the AMDS is not uninstalling properly even after I've cleared iTunes from Program files and tried stop/starting AMDS through administrator tools.
    Help please.

    Others might find this process useful for issues with iTunes 11.1.4.62....
    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
    The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
    Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Non-Existent Technical Support from Spotify

    As a former premium member of Spotify, I used to enjoy what the program provided in terms of streaming music... Well, Spotify is still billing me for a serviice that I can't get to work that is! My Premium Accouint is no longer working and I'm only able to connect to the free version (even though Spotify continued to bill my account) regardless of the dozen attempts or so to remedy the problem. I have found it unacceptable that you cannot actually contact or get a real person from Spotiy to address ANY issue that you may have with a service that you're paying for! The only results that Spotify seems to provide for its PAID subscribers is an endless reference to a ongoing blog!!! Seriously!!! Is this what the folks at Spotify comprehend as acceptable customer service??? Looks like Apple's version will prove to be better sooner than later... Apple's version of streaming music may be similar to Spotify in the same manner of how Facebook destroyed MySpace! UNLESS Spotify can get it''s act together here very soon! Based on my experinces thus far, I'm not so sure that they will!

    I totally agree with you. There is no way to contact Spotify to ask a question. I feel I should be able to Atleast email a real person. I spent the last 30 minutes scroll g through their questions and answers section and public forums to post questions. I would like a simple answer and I can not get that. Maybe I should try a new music provider. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    I have a MUVO2 4GB and I want to change the stand-by time because it is too useless for me I listen my music for 30 minutes on the school way and I do it again on the home way at night time and between morning and night times because of its stand-by is aproximately 20hrs, it uses its battery. Now plz help me is there a firmware which includes selectable stand-by time because (I want to close it down) or will it come soon.

    We have been alerted that Adobe will no longer continue to support Flash on Samsung Smart TVs and BluRay players. As a result, Flash engines will not be supported in 2015 Samsung products. Going forward, Flash-related features will be excluded from SDKs released. Although Flash engines will remain to be equipped on existing Samsung products, including 2014 models, there will be no technical support from either Samsung or Adobe. Accordingly, any applications developed with Flash Air or Flash Player will no longer be acceptable. Samsung recommends using either HTML 5 or Javascript based applications if the application in question is Flash-based. Beginning on February 4, 2014, any Flash-based application, including any updated versions of such will not be acceptable for submission.

    I'm not an Adobe or Samsung expert, but it seems to me that...
    on Samsung Smart TVs and BluRay players
    ..is not the same as (all) "Samsung Devices".

    I have same issue with Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 after Tech Shop cleaned my Desktop of some viruses.  I know they deleted file SAFERBROWSER, which is Adobe File name I noticed when I tried to re-install.  So, Tech Shop deleted this file which is why Photshop and Premiere ceased to run.  And re-installing did not correct problem.  I did uninstall and re-install (3) times with no luck.
    I will be watching Forum for any answers you get, 'cause mine are the same issues.

  • Nokia Poor Technical Support - Beware

    I purchased this phone a week ago. I have a POP 3 email account that I connect to. I have 2 emails that I check. I check email on 2 laptops, 1 tablet, 1 phone. I found after a week that the Nokia 928 was deleting the emails from the server and that I could not get those emails once deleted on my other devices. (My 3 year old HTC Droid did not do this) I called Verizon service who sent me to Nokia. Nokia said it was not their problem and sent me to Microsoft. Microsoft said it was not their problem and sent me back to Nokia. I said no, it was a software problem and Nokia said they didn't make the software. I was sent to another phone number in Microsoft that turned out to be "Supplemental Parts" support and the guy said sorry he couldn't help me and DIDN"T know who I should call. Nokia "dropped" the call the first time when being transferred and I had to call back and go through the whole phone tree again. I'm certain the call was dropped by the customer agent because he didn't want to deal with this.
    This all took about 45 minutes of ME having to make the calls and get shuttled back and forth. I finally called Verizon back and said I want my old phone back, which they did. I took the 928 back and got a full refund. BTW, the initial Verizon support person opened up the on-line manual, which I already had, and started reading out loud through the email setup section. That really instilled a sense of trust in me.
    So, there are three problems here:
    The Nokia 928 can't perform a simple years old email setup function
    Verizon can't technically support the phone
    Verizon is not taking charge of their support and is willing to send customers off to other "vendors". I feel Verizon should have taken this issue, chased it down for me, and gotten back to me with an answer.

    Recently I started having the same issues - email being deleted from my e-mail service provider's server by Microsoft phone Lumia 928 & I could not even find the deleted emails under server's trash folder.  I do not want my emails deleted by the phone.
    I do not see any recommendations to correct this issue.  Does that mean I need to delete POP e-mail accounts just to keep my e-mail on the server??  If yes then, the windows phone is not worth owning.  To the best of my knowledge this is not an issue created by Nokia.
    Currently I found an unefficient  way to keep my emails on my email provider's server but then why do I need this phone if it is nothing but a problem? A Sync issue/bug???
    It would be great if someone from Verizon and/or Microsoft could clarify this issue.

    Yes, another day, another piece of garbage from the Q10. Now, it won't transfer Calendar engagements from Outlook in box to the Calendar on the phone. (But it will from Hotmail.) Of course it won't do it the other way at all. Silly of me to think you might be out on a business trip, put an appointment in your phone and want to synch it with your PC. I mean, whoever wants to do that? Still, it's par for the course: along with LInk destroying contacts and muddling them up (5 times - so I've uninstalled it and use share - see above), keyboard failure (twice), sending texts and e-mails in mid-message because the send button is a) in the wrong place and b) far too sensitive, screen response flop-outs on a regular basis, etc etc etc. They've absolutely earned some kind of award for producing the worst phone on the market, and then of course running away and hiding when it goes wrong. Blackberry really should get out of making mobiles and go and do something useful, like running a sewage farm. They'd have a head start because they'd already be very familiar with the nature of the product.

    Scroll up. I never said EE was the source of your problem. They are the source of your solution. Big difference.
    EE is your initial contact for all technical support with hardware and software related to your BlackBerry. It's the official support path you have in place. If your Ford or Mercedes has faults, you contact the deal, not some office in Detroit or Stuttgart.  This might not be a familar concept to you, but it is how it works and it is what you are paying for. I don't understand why you'd argue that you won't use it. Unless you're only here to rant?

    But doesn't save. When you say it doesn't save, is this because you do not then see this newly saved calendar entry in your calendar?
    Open your calendar. Swipe down from the top to > Manage.
    Look at that list. Do you have the "Home" calendar with a check mark enabled?

  • How to get direct support from apple

    Hi, I am a new iPod user... I have just created a new account and I am having problems with language support. So I tried to get support from Apple and ended up here...
    So my first question is, is this forum being maintained exclusively by iPod users or are there any apple employees helping too? Is there otherwise some other way to get help online from apple or are we on our own, just as if we were using any piece of freeware software?
    And here is the original question that made me look for support: I live in Spain but like to use my PC in English. My Windows is configured for English, and so is the iTunes software. But since I have registered my user account under a Spanish location, I cannot avoid getting the iTunes Store in Spanish language. The result is a mixture of Spanish and English in the iTunes window. Is there a way of changing that and keeping my Spanish profile and billing details while getting all text in English?
    By the way there must be a bug in the registration process... the first time the credit card data is requested, it says "if you live outside the US click here", so I clicked there, then selected "Spain" and I got an OK screen which ended my registration process... but the account was not created, since I was getting "unexistant account" responses. So I had to create the same account again... the second time iTunes knew I was in Spain so I could proceed with the credit card data and the account was created. This means that the screen flow fails to create a proper account in the cases where you have to select a different billing country.
    OK... that is all, sorry for the long list of questions.

    Though on rare occasions you will see a post from an Apple employee, the Discussions are intended for user-to-user assistance only. There is no guarantee, nor even a strong likelihood, that an Apple employee will ever respond to any post here.

    It depends on the problem. If you're having a technical problem with iTunes or an iPod, you can call Apple tech support (there is no support via email for problems with Apple hardware or applications). The call may not be free, depending on when you purchased your iPod and whether or not you have AppleCare for it.
    If you have a problem with the iTunes Store, then go to the iTunes Store Customer Service site, select the page most appropriate for your issue, and submit the web form that you'll find at the bottom of those pages (note that the form won't be on any KnowledgeBase article page, only those from the Store itself).
    I cannot avoid getting the iTunes Store in Spanish language.
    To the best of my knowledge, the Spanish iTunes Store itself is only available with Spanish titles, etc., regardless of what language you have your system set for.
    As to your registration, did you get the account created successfully? Or is there still a problem and if so, where is it hanging up?
