Group cursor on xml input ... HELP!

Hi all!
I'm trying to create a group cursor on my xml data source.
Can that be done? Or group cursor can only be created for groups constructed by sql query? I followed the example given in the help topics without any success. Could someone please help out and point me in the right direction?
Below is the snippet of my code,
function CF_1Formula return Number is
gc_key SRW.GROUP_HANDLE;
key_str VARCHAR2(20);
begin
gc_key := SRW.GH_CREATE('G_key');
loop
begin
srw.gh_next(gc_key);
srw.gh_get_value(gc_key, 'key', key_str);
text_io.put_line('printing out the key value now');
text_io.put_line(key_str);
exception
when srw.no_data_found then
text_io.put_line('procedure init_acty_map - no data found');
end;
end loop;
return 0;
end;
whenever I try to run this, I keep getting this
101512: non-Oracle exception
What is wrong? Could someone please help out??
Thanks in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
genie

You are passing that complete document, with the line breaks and all, from the command line??
Or perhaps you are passing the name of a file that contains the document, and passing the filename to Oracle instead of the XML contained in the file? Just a guess.

  • Where is the blinking cursor on reply input box?

    When I click on reply to answer a post, I get the expected input box.   No matter how long I wait, I do not get the blinking cursor that allows me to type in my answer.  I have to use my mouse to click in the input box so I can begin my typing.
    Have other people observed this?  I am using TenFourFox on Tiger.

    I did find this way of getting the cursor in the text field:
    click on html
    type a letter
    click on use regular editor
    cursor appears in text field
    delete letter.  You need some text for the cursor to be placed.
    While not typical protocol, my understanding is that Apple is watching this forum for comments on the new discussion groups.
    > The same thing happens pretty much anywhere javascript is used to reveal a text field.
    Tuttle, I cannot resist, sorry.
    I do not care whether they use javascript or tiddlywinks.  It's up to the developer to use the appropriate tools to produce a  workable GUI.
    >(Have you ever tried to post a comment to the New York Times or Washington Post websites, e.g.?)
    I can't help it if they employee poor programmers.  If I recall correctly from my JavaScript programming days, there is a control you use to place the cursor in a field.  I used the beta version of Yahoo mail just now, it puts the cursor in the input box when I did a reply to a message.
    The forum software seems to be running faster today.  This is very good news if it continues.

  • Problem in sending XML input as String in BPEL

    Hi,
    We have a BPEL flow (assign, invoke, assign) which takes an XML input as String.
    <RegisterCustomerOnVAS><CustomerID>100</CustomerID><MSISDN>9999999</MSISDN><CustomerName>sanjeev</CustomerName><customerInfo>new user</customerInfo></RegisterCustomerOnVAS>
    Assignment is doing fine, but when Invoke calls partner link, the input is getting parsed and only the first text value (eg 100) is getting passed to the partner webservice instead of the entire XML as string.
    Can any one please help us in fixing in this problem.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    You should watch your assign activity (maybe a bad assigment level in copy rule). I think the probem is there.

    Your PL/SQL code doesn't produce a valid XML document.
    In the XML grammar, "&" is a special character and must be escaped using the character entity "&#38;amp;".
    If you were using standard methods to build XML from Oracle (SQL/XML functions for instance), I'm sure you wouldn't have this error.
    Please show us the PL/SQL code you're using to produce this XML output and we'll be able to help you further.

  • Selection from Input help different from PA30 IT0014

    Hi Guys,
    Need advise as i'm trying to get the same result data from input help in IT0014 (wage type). I'm using normal selection from table but the result set are diffrent.
    I'm noticed more value appeared than the input help in IT0014 PA30.
    I checked on the input help seems no parameter passing.
    Attached is the screen for input help .
    Brgds
    Badz

    Finally after few debugging the logic and google searching .
    The answer is because in they wage type appeared in the search help already filtered by employee group and subgroup also personnel area.
    So each user will have different search result/input help  based on their group or pers area.

  • Adding Input Help to a Field in WebClient

    Thanks Tanja for the input but I need to add input help to the u201CValueu201D field in conditions for alert rules to facilitate the input of Sold-To Party values. For example, the user can click the input help icon and that select the desired Sold-To Party from the list.
    I inadvertently deleted my original posting so I am reposting again.
    Thanks,

    Hi Corwin,
    You can have Process on Value-Request on your screen where the field exist. You can use SE80 to edit the screen of the function group that table maintenance generator created.
    1. Edit the screen using SE80.
    2. Place a 'process on value-request' at the bottom of the flow logic.
    3. Below that, put this line
    field fieldname module get_help.
    4. Double click on GET_HELP and create an input module pool program.
    5. In this module pool, pass the values of the other fields in your screen to the function module that can provide you the list of values
    6. Use function module F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST within this module pool to popup the values.
    However, please keep in mind that the values from other fields on the screen are not populated in its field unless you hit enter.

  • XML input into BPEL Process

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a BPEL process which receives XML input and then uses this input to insert data into the database.
    I have a stored procedure which will accept the input variables and do the insert.
    My XML looks like below:
    <Acc_type>
    <code> ABC </code>
    <name> Savings Account </name>
    </Acc_type>
    My stored Procedure has to input variables - code and name. I have changed the Receive activities, Process Request to include 2 inputs - code and name.
    I am not sure what changes need to be made to specify that the input will be in XML and also how to map the XML to the variables.
    Also, is it possible to use the same format for the XML as used when you initiate a BPEL Process and select XML Source? If I do this will I still need to make other changes?
    Thanks...

  • XML input: Node

    hi experts.
              I can't create an XML input file for my custom BO with node items.
              When I export the XML file from the schema, a warning pops up showing that it is not exportable.
              Is it because of the schema that I created from Service Integration?
    Regards,
    May T.

    Hello Fred and thank you very much for your help!
    That is exactly what I did.
    Here is the code of my staging Expense report, the dummy BO:
    import AP.Common.GDT as apCommonGDT;
    import AP.ExpenseReimbursementManagement.Global as ERM;
    businessobject StagingExpenseReport {
            element MyInputrow: ID;
            element MyExpenseReportID: ExpenseReportID;
            element MyEmployeeID: EmployeeID;
            element MyExpenseReportTypeCode: ExpenseReportTypeCode;
            element MyPeriod: UPPEROPEN_LOCAL_DateTimePeriod;
            element MyDescription: LANGUAGEINDEPENDENT_EXTENDED_Text;
            element MyReferenceExpenseReportReceiptID: ID;
            element MyReceiptTypeCode: ExpenseReportExpenseTypeCode;
            element MyReceiptCategoryCode: ExpenseReportExpenseCategoryCode;
            element MyAmount: Amount;
            element MyPaymentAmount: Amount;
            element MyNetAmount: Amount;
            element MyReceiptDate: Date;
            element SameExpenseReport: Indicator;
    But with this BO structure you can only create one Item/Receipt in each Staging Expense report. [1-1] relationship as everything is in the Root node.
    So for example, in order to get a standard expense report with 2 receipts, I would need to create two instances of my Staging/dummy BO from the XML, each with one receipt. And using the ABSL to find which dummy BO goes to which Expense Report.
    Am I mistaking or I understood well?
    Because the thing is we cannot XML upload a child node in a custom BO neither if I got it right.
    Thank you very much for your attention.
    Best regards.
    Jacques-Antoine Ollier

  • Move the cursor to next input values

    Hi
    I  have one input  screen  which will save the vaule in z_ table  .
    when i am giving input values and press enter it should go next input values
    but it is going same field.
    how i can move the cursor to next input values.
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi,
    Use the "set cursor" command followed by the field name.
    By triggering PAI only, we can set the CURSOR in some other field.
    By just pressing ENTER button and like that.
    In PBO, you have to check the first field is filled i.e. NOT INITIAL, you have to set CURSOR in next field and so on...
    If he fills any other fields, then you have to message.
    Also try SET CURSOR in the PBO.

  • WD-ABAP Input help question

    Hi,
    There seems to be something very wrong with Input help in an ALV.
    I created an ALV and in 1 of the input fields you can select a value from 0 to 2. The values are determined through a value range in the domain of the field.
    When I enter the letter 'G' instead of value 0,1 or 2 then I am shown an error message saying 'The entered value is not on the list of valid values'. So far everything is ok. Now I press the F4 selection icon and select value 2. Value 2 is then placed in the input field but stange enough the field is still 'marked red'. Next put your cursor in the field and press enter to make the red marking dissapear. And then there is a shortdump saying 'Access via NULL object reference not possible'. The error seems to occur in method 'Validate_single_input' line 20. I understand that the error happened because the node is initial but this should not happen. Is there a quick fix? I removed all code from WDOBEFOREACTION and event ON_DATA_CHECK to exclude any mistakes on my side. Please let me know how to fix this.

    Bob,
    One inputfield is active / has focus.
    This is probably the yellow one
    How to set focus actively see:

    ps.This is a little bit urgent, please help.

    Hi, Tim ,

         Is that what you meant in Number 1??
         If it is, I still have the log in error when I log in to the SAP Add-On in EXCEL.

  • HOW to Restrict the input Help for 0MATERIAL in the BPS Layout

    Hi,
    I have requirement to Restrict the input Help for 0MATERIAL  in the BPS Layout.
    For Example if the Planning Package is Restricted to SALES ORGANISATION ( 3000 )  then the system shuold  check the 0MAT_SALES  where SALES ORGANISATION IS "3000" )AND PASS THE Material Numbers to the 0material list.
    I have Copied the standard Funtcion group  "UPF_VARIABLE_USER_EXIT"  to Z fucttion and have attached to Z Variabe as User Exit .
    this Variable is  Attached to 0material in the Planning Pakage. So tha now the 0MATERIAL is restricted to the variable which is having the User Exit.
    But how to acces the Values of Planning Package for which the Layout is bein Executed from this Z User Exit ???
    I Know how to restrict the input help, but my only problem is that how to get the values of Planning package through this User Exit.
    Please suggest if it is possible.
    Regards,
    Nilesh Labde

    Hi Nilesh,
    As I understand from your question,you know how to restrict but the issue is to know the value in the package with which you need to restrict.
    There are two tables which can help you finding the value used in package for sales organisation:
    1. UPC_PACKAGE
    2. UPC_OPTIOS
    How to use ?
    From UPC Package you will get one GUID, Hit the second table UPC_OPTIOS with this GUID.
    In field "FIELDNAME" enter the name of the characteristic whose value is req (sales organisation in your case)
    Hope this helps you
