Guide ep7.0 with backend R/3 4.7?

Hi, gurus:
where can i find ess configuration on ep7.0 with backend R/3 4.7?
in nw04 and nw04s, ep use JCo connects backend.
what connection type is used by r/34.7?
Thanks
Br,
Chrina

Hi Chrina,
If you look at the link below it states what SAP recomends your release should be for each business package:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/contentportfolio
ESS 50.4 -> EP 5/6, R3 4.6C/4.7
ESS 60.2 -> EP 7, ERP 2004
ESS 1.0   -> EP 7, ERP 2005
I have implemented ESS 50.4 with EP7 and both R3 4.7 and ERP 2005.  It can be done, but when I spoke to a contact from SAP they stated the landscape I was using was not recommend and there was no documentation availbale for the specific landscape.  You have to use bits of documents from various guides.
Thanks,
Nick.

  • Problem in SRM (with backend PO)

    Hi,
I have a problem in creating a PO with backend product category in backend. The error message is some backend documents could not be determined.
But I could able to create a PR Reservation and Direct PO for the same Product Category. (in the backend and in SRM too).
    Org Structure:
I have maintained the transaction type in attribute tab. (backend/EC).
I have maintained the Product Responsibilties and Org Responsibilities for the Respective Pgrp. (Product Cateogeries)
I also have maintained the Product Categories in Extended attributes.
In SRM I havent maintained the transaction type for the EC but I have maintained the follow on document number range. (shopping cart)
The Transaction Type is maintained in the backend and the number range as external.
I have also maintained the Product categories in Technical Basic settings and defined the backend system with respect Product categories in Cross application basic settings.
Please let me know if you need any more information...
    Thanks
    Jagan

    Hi Jagan,
If your SC is considered as complete by SRM (but with a fixed vendor and not a preferred vendor) the system will check if it can create a PO in R/3.
For this, each item will request a META_INTERPRETE_DATA to R/3, asking if it can create a PO. If R/3 considers this data as incomplete, it will reply to create a PR.
Usual cases of R/3 PR creation instead of PO:
    - prefered vendor in SRM (and not a fixed one)
    - custom checks in user exits in R/3
    - error messages in R/3 (ex: O6 334 In the case of a fixed vendor, please enter info record)
    Kind regards,
    Yann

  • Lumira on HCP or Cloud Lumira server with backend as HANA DB

    Hi
I have developed Lumira stories in desktop version and deployed in trial version of Cloud Lumira server.
But not able to connect HANA DB as backend to create stories in Cloud Lumira.
is there any way to create Cloud Lumira stories with backend as HANA DB ? i'm able to achieve this in desktop version and again not able to publish to Cloud Lumira.
i tried with Hana Cloud Platform trial account.
But i dont find Lumira Server on HCP. Only Cloud lumira is available where we are not able to connect with HANA DB.
Is Lumira is available on HCP ? or how to connect HANA DB with Cloud lumira server?
I'm new to Lumira developments, Any help would be appreciable.
    Thanks & Regards
    Yokesvaran Kumarasamy

I don't think you will be able to connect to those with trial accounts; those are typically limited in data sources
See Figure 15 here  BI in the Cloud - ASUG Webcast Summary  - Lumira Server on HCP is planned

  • Using multiple guides to help with layout

    Hi,
I have seen in lots of Muse and InDesign training videos that the designers are using multi guides which run vertically. The guides are set with a wider gap, then a narrow gap, then a wider gap etc. I know this to aid layout and create a more uniform spacing.
Can anyone tell me the method used to create the guides and how the gaps (wide and narrow) are calculated.
    Thanks,
    Matt

In the new site dialog box on the upper right side. The wide ones are the columns and the narrow are the gutters. Hope this helps

  • Implementing Application gateway for 2 enterprise portals with backend syst

    Hello Experts,
We have a scenario where in we have 2 different portal with backend SAP systems attached to them. We want to expose those to internet. we have an SSL certificate with a FQDN https://www.XXX.com
Can we have a mechanism in the application gateway wherein we can bifurcate the two portals by https://www.XXX.com/abc and https://www.XXX.com/xyz so that different users can logon to specific portal.
should we use a web dispatcher or apache reverse proxy for this scenario.
    Awaiting your reply.
    Regards,
    Vinayak

    Hi,
A while ago you had no choice then Apache Reverse Proxy...
Since a while now SAP has enhanced the Web Dispatcher so that one web dispatcher installation can handle more than one system. Check the following articles for details:
    Overview: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/03/afe24bfeb7419b9172ffb6e7636926/frameset.htm
    Detail: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/b0/ebfa88e9164d26bdf1d21a7ef6fc25/frameset.htm
    Example: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/b0/ebfa88e9164d26bdf1d21a7ef6fc25/frameset.htm
PS you still can choose to use the Apache Rev Proxy foor this but now you also have an native SAP alternative ....

  • How to link B2C basket (order page), with backend or IPC or JCo

    Hi
It is in the standard flow of the B2C application, when we add the campaign on the header of the Order page, on clicking Update the prices donot get update.
If we click on the product catalog and again add same product to the basket, product to which the campaign is linked, we get updated prices.
This is a standard flow of B2C application.
If I come to change the Action class for Update, we need the fields to from salesDoc or Basket to get the Pricing condtions generated for the item on adding campaign to order jsp , using the stangard java class "PrepareIsaPriceAnalysisAction".
    i.e
    1.     IPC Connection Key: needed at header level of sales document.
    2.     IPC Document ID: needed at header level of sales document.
    3.     Item Id: present at sales document item level.
In the Action class for B2C, we are just getting item id as standard and not other fields from salesdocument getHeader() method, as we get in B2B.
If anyone in SDN, who has earlier worked on this issue and got some patch downloaded from SAP market place for standard appliaction of B2C. We are using service pack 4. Kindly help us in getting this issue resolved.
I am able to get all the values of campaign related data on the page and I am able to add the campaign in the sales document, but not able to link with backend or not able to get or create IPC info from the Backend using standard Bapi's for getting the information.
Kindly help in resolving the issue.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Virtual machine setup mini guide for thoes with XP or 7

Sorry this guide is very rough.
Why do we need this? Because application loader works only on mac. Not on PC. The final step to submit the application requires application loader. There is no way around it at the moment.
So you need to submit your app but you don't have a mac or money for a used mac. You can still submit but You will need the following
    1. Retail DVD of snow leopard (ebay has brand new copies for $45 shipped)
    2. computer with AMD or Intel CPU
    3. about 20gig HD and 2gig ram
    4. fast internet connection
    5. a big cup of coffe
    6. a gigantic bag of patience.
    also needed
Latest Empire EFI boot discs, combo update 10.5.6 for snow leopard, usb flash drive, multibeast, vmware preconfigered files for snow leopard, xcode
all available if you just google them.
    1. start download process on vmware workstation 7, combo update 10.5.6, EFI bootdisc for AMD or Intel, multibeast
    2. install vmware, reboot. open up the vmware preconfigered files, make changes to HD and ram size. save it.
    3. mount the EFI bootdisc in VMware, boot VM up, on the EFI boot screen, insert your Retail DVD and change the VM dvd drive to connect to your physical drive
    4. hit F5, it should change the icon to MAC OSX INSTALL. Install Mac. configure it if you want. after install is finished, reattach the EFI bootdisc to boot your system. you willl not be able to boot without the bootdisc.
    5. before it boots, shut it down and make a snapshot. when EFI boots up again, you will see your mac installation, select that and it will boot into mac desktop.
    6. now copy multibeast, combo update, xcode on to your usb flash drive. then connect your flash drive with mac osx, copy all the files onto your desktop
    7. open multibeast, don't install it, run combo update, then complete multibeast installation with Easybeast option
    8. now reboot your VM, if everything works, shut it down and make another snap shot
    9. install xcode! finaly! after xcode finishes installation, you are good to go.
couple of questions you might ask
    1. how to copy files around xp and mac on vmware. My suggestion, don't invest time into connecting the computers. just use the flash drive.
    2. must we always use the bootdisc to boot. No. You can find out how to resolve that. I just left it alone.
    3. why not just use xcode to develope. Well, vmware is extremlily slow running mac osx.
    4. finaly, vmware workstation 7 is trial version. Yes, you might be able to get the vmware player to run your vm after you finished the setup.
This guide might get removed by adobe. if it does oh wells. google is your friend.

  • Special request with backend PO

    Hi Gurus,
We are on SRM 5.0 using classic scenario. The system works fine according to the customizing in
SRM the source determination logic in MM. In the case of external procurement, the system is to always create a purchase requisition or, if the data is complete, a purchase order
In the classic scenario the purchase order is created on R/3 side. When we create a Backend purchase order or purchase requisition the system runs the price transfer from the contract/info record.
As for Special Request during shopping cart creation, sourcing is performed internally which a standard behaviour of the program when all needed information is available i.e., Material number, Vendor number in the shopping cart .  It searches sequentially for possible source of supply and will apply that valid source in creating purchasing document when it is able to find in any of these -
    >Quota arrangement  --->, Sourcelist  --->, Contract, ---> Inforecord.  At that time, the only valid source available was the inforecord that is why the program was able to create the purchasing document in the backend using the inforecord as its reference.  The PO was created in the backend since our present configuration via the customizing, for non-stock materials, it will trigger to create PO if item data is complete (able to find a source of supply) otherwise it with create a PR."
Can we prevent the use of the 'Info Record' when there is no valid contract/ source list?  Our business requirement is for that a PO, with the exception of PO  type ACMI, must be generated subject to a valid contract.
    Thanks.
    Jho

    Hi Jho
Shows vendor using Purchasing info record  in Source of supply tab
eventhouh the sos is selected by the user with inforecord ,please validate the sos vendor if it is a puchase inforecord by BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI throw error message like please select a contract as Source of supply not inforecord".

  • Problem in connecting NWCE7.2 with backend R3 and BI

    Hello Gurus
I have installed the NWCE7.2 for creating a pilot in which i have to show the compsite application for BPM involving data from backend R3 and BI. I plan to use the Visual composer for developing the pilot
In Portal - System admin - System configuration, i have set to two system one for BI and one for R3. But when i am running the connection test for connectors it is failing consistently.
For BI system it is giving error - Connection failed make sure user mapping is correct.and all connection properties are correct
For R3 - system it is giving error - Connection failed make sure user mapping is correct.and all connection properties are correct
I am using my SAP account. I have created a portal UME account with the same id as my SAP ID and using SAP Logonticket
Since i am new , can any one give me step by step process to create successfully the connectors to connect to BI and R3.
I had followed the steps mentioned in Sap.help.com and followed all the steps without success.

I have followed the Maintaining RFC Destinations & Maintaining BI Server Connectionsbut am consistently failing to connect and thus not use the Visual composer to use the RFCs for the pilot.
Do I have to do any other setting as well, am i missing some configuration as well.

  • Mapping with backend

    Hi,
Can any one send me the details on tcode "BBP_UPDATE_MAPPING".
So can u explain , what inputs we have to gve to different scenarios.
    Regards,
    RAghu.

    Hi Raghu,
Let me explain to you the transaction precisely:
The Transaction has two screens, one on the top and the other at the bottom:
    <b>Top Screen: Adjust Backend Reference:</b>
In multiple back-end scenarios, transaction BBP_UPDATE_MAPPING can be very useful because vendors that once have been replicated do not need to be replicated again from other back ends if their numbers are equal (top area). This transaction essentially will adjust those different numbers as one single number in the SRM system.
Example: You have 4 backends A, B, C and D and Vendor "Circuit City" has numbers as follows:
    A- 100
    B - 200
    C - 300
    D - 400
Now that you have already replicated circuit city from A (100) -> SRM, you dont want to overlap the same vendor with different vendor numbers. So, this transaction in the top area gives the ability to adjust the mapping of the local (SRM) vendor number to other vendor numbers in other backends.
The input parameter on the top area will be the logical system of the corresponsing backedn system for which you wish to perform an adjustment. Once you do this, SRM vendor number will have one to many mapping created. (i.e. Vendor Number 100 in SRM is same as Vendor Number 100, 200, 300 and 400 in backend A, B, C and D)
    <b>Add/Delete/Change Backend (Bottom Area)</b>
The Bottom Area assists if a back-end has been replaced (for example, from test to productive), this can be switched very easily from this transaction (bottom area). In this area you can add, delete and change backends.
    Hope this info helps !!
Pls assign points for usefull answers !!

  • Problem with smart guides in CS5 with converting type object to outlines.

    Hi There,
I recently upgraded to Illustrator CS5, and am having some issues with the smart guides.  I create some type with the text tool, then convert that type object to outlines.  Now, when I want another graphical object to "snap" to any of the anchors of the outlined text graphic, the smart guides don't kick in!  The problem does not seem to occurr if I make a standard graphic with other tools, only when I create a graphic from a type object.  I need to be able to snap to graphical objects that are created via the convert type to outlines command.  Has anybody experienced this issue before?  It's kinda frustrating.
The issue didn't seem to happen in CS3, and I've noticed the design of the smart guides is a bit different in the CS5 version as well.  Am I missing something?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

When you switched to CS5 did you turn on view >> snap to Point
If your snapping tolernace is set to a small value, you may need to zoom in more to get snapping to work, or just increase the value. Also make sure you have the appropriate items checked (eg:Anchor Path Labels)
Edit Preferences >> Smart Guides >> Snapping Tolerance

    Hi Hemant
SAP has made a lot of the transport functionality in GRC10. I find that they hereby created a huge expectation with the customer, that in fact is not true.
For instance Exclusion Objects and Mitigation Controls are NOT transported. What about Organizations? Critical Roles and Profiles are also not transportable.
As for the Connectors - system specific parameters are transported. Therefore you end up having to delete the DEV and QA connectors in the PRD GRC system.
On this question, has anyone used CLM yet? It seems that only Functions and Risks will be extracted to CLM and then deployed in the other system (DEV to QA for example). Does CLM even work?
SAP provide not guidance on all of these important issues. I agree that it is about time that SAP takes some leadership and produce a proper best practise guide for this software. By the way, an offical sizing document from SAP is still to be delivered.
    Thanks

  • Condition types in SRM for mapping purposes with backend contracts

    Hello,
We need to map condition types for the creation of a Backend contract on the basis of a accepted bid.
We use SRM 5.0 but our products do not have prices in their product master!
We use the catalog funcion to indicate the prices of the materials. for service-items we manually add the prices in the Shopping cart.
How can I find out what conditions types we use in these circumstances in SRM 5.0?
What condition type are we using in the case of materials?
What condition type are we using in the case of service-items?
    Thanks for any reply.
    Aart

    Hi
You can map the condition type 01CT (gross price) in SRM with PB00 for Gross Price in contracts. Standard SRM  generally work with simple pricing with gross price condition types and do not have complex conditions unless you customize it. For material or services, it should matter from condition perspective unless you have done some specific customization.

    Sanjeev
