The retina display MacBook Pros are very lightweight, so you won't really notice a weight difference between a 15" or 13" one. If you can afford it, get the 15" notebook.
Purchase the most powerful configuration you can afford. If you can afford it, get the larger SSD - but, you can always get a portable external hard drive that you can take with you if you find the internal drive is too small.

Press any key on the wireless keyboard after you close the MBP and it goes to sleep. The computer will wake up with the external monitor as its display. This is called Clamshell mode.

If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:

You have a 13" Early or Mid 2009 MacBook. Either one can run OS X Mavericks with enough RAM, 2 GB minimum. But first you will need to update to OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 so that you have the Mac App Store installed on your MacBook
Buy this from apple;

Hello, I have an iPod touch 5th gen and it continuously loses its wifi connection and also it doesn't show the usage status in the settings. It's got the 6.1.2. Software. Any idea as to what could be the problem?

I've recently updated the iPod and also restored it. But the problem with the wifi connectivity still prevails. There is also a problem with the battery. After having charged it completely, the usage still doesn't appear in the settings. Any opinions as to what could be the probable problem?

You can only create one iCloud account with your ID. To create a new one, you will need a second Apple ID. To migrate your data to a new iCloud account, first decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, any data in your accounts that you don't want (such as your wife's contacts in your account, and vice versa), you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it.

I add pictures to existing web page using iweb(3.0.1) and new pictures show in all browsers EXCEPT firefox. Previous patches seem only good for iweb 2.X

Do you see any error messages about getElementsByClassName in the Tools > Error Console ?
That was the problem with content generated with an older version of iWeb.
Content that has been generated with such an older version needs to be regenerated with that never version and uploaded to the web server.
Never versions of iWeb should cause any problems.

I am gonna be using mostly for Visual sStudio 2013 and Sql Server 2012 .

This is only a personal taste of mine:
I prefer to work in Virtual Machines. In fact I did set up a VM just for my programming. This has the advantage that games and other stuff are not slowed down by SQL Server Services and similiar stuff.
This also allows me to quickly make a small virtual networks with multiple clients if I need to test some client/server stuff.
Plus I am also a bit of an adminstrator and prefer to test stuff in VM's before I try them in the real world.
I prefer using Virtual Box for Virtual Machines, so one thing of big importance was support for VT-X/AMD-V. Without them Virtual Box cannot run x64 guests even on a x64 host system.
Otherwise I wanted Windows 8 (so I could finally learn to live with it/learn programming for it's UI). And of big importance was an upgrade of gaming ability (my old one had difficulty/impossibility to run most current games).
So I bought a x64, Win8 Gaming Laptop with 8 GiB RAM (so I can run 3-6 Windows 7 hosts in paralell) and looked that the CPU supported Hardware Virtualsiation.
Otherwise pretty much every current laptop will work. x64 OS might be prefereable, as .NET has some limitations under x32/x86 OS (like the
2 GiB limit). Multicore (2 or more) is pretty much the state of the art (are there still any single core CPU's out there?).
It of course needs to be a Windows (7 or 8) to support VS. New Laptops should have UEFI (all that are sold with Windows 8 have).
If you do not need a lot of storage, using a SSD instead of a HDD will propably speed up startups (Windows, Programms) and compilation times a lot (those are disk-heavy operations) - but I only know that it should and heard of people who have them.

Unable to delete the bad request,and also not activated.

I am having ods1 existing in process chain,it is exporting 4ods.At the 3 ods the request was failed at datatarget level,but in RSMO status shows as green only.
For all the ODSes the data has runned for two days,on first day the request was failed,if i am going to activate or delete its not accepting.plz help me in this issue.update type for that ODS is deltaupdate..

In your case, the data was loaded successfully, but the activation got failed.
to confirm that, check the number of records loaded as below.
No. of records loaded.
No. of records available in "New Data Table"
If the data load is successful and there are '0' records in new data table, you can turn the QM status to green and then activate the data.
If still there are records in New Data Table, The failure might be because of the table space problem. Check the short dumps in ST22. You may find a runtime error called "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR". You'll see a message "Unable to extend table". You can notify this runtime error to Basis team and they can help you out.
If it's not the table space problem, you can delete the request by turning the QM status to red in RSMO/Data target (though it is already red, turn it to red again) .
let me know the source system where you are getting the data from. I can suggest you whether to delete the data.

When in I tunes the Genuis recomendations has not refreshed since I intalled the newest version. Only show 5 covers and only 2 song tiitles. Never gives me new choices which I do use for finding new music. Any ideas out there?

I agree... I am trying not to whine... but be helpful to others if they experience the same while get input before I make the decision to return (which I am leaning towards)… It’s still a great phone – but I expected something different. I also have been coming the internet and forums to see what other people think as well to make sure I am not being oversensitive about it. $300 for a 16gb is not buyers remorse kicking in… it’s just I am not sure if I see much of a difference from my perfectly good (8month old) iPhone 1st generation…
But yes… if all iPhone 3G were problematic it would be in the news… so I err on the side that I may be a unique situation or simply did not make a well informed decision when going to 3G.
Still… the idea of turning 3G off to get a full day of use out of an iPhone… even moderate use that most of us would expect w/o charging midway or multiple times is a bit much to swallow.
I don’t want to bash and just looking for peoples reaction. I still really like Apple and the iPhone in general.

New to Apple, having fun with ipad Air, but geting frustrated with its weird ways.
Deleted the iphoto app to clear out photos (yes, really). Now cannot download it again. Other deleted apps download exactly as the manual says but not iphoto. Can anyone suggest how to fix please? Also, cannot delete test photos from"photos" app, brought in from Dropbox. Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

You should be able to redownload it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad - if it's not showing there (you haven't changed countries since buying the app ?) then check to see if it's hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
For the photos, if they are in the Camera Roll album in the Photos app then you can either delete them via the trashcan icon in the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the Select button top right in thumbnail view.

I finally upgraded my iPhone 4 to the new iOS 5 software and it did NOT put my pictures or contacts!!! I keep getting the error (-50). What does that mean? Is there anything I can do?

I just want my pictures, texts, and contacts. It looks like my computer hasn't recorded a backup for my phone since I got it last year.
