GuiXT for projects - to call application within transaction

Hi
I'm using GuiXT for screen modifications and field layouts.
I'm using Project Builder CJ20n. Everytime when i want to give a settlement rule to the WBS element within project i need to select the WBS element, g oto Edit --> Cost --> Settlement Rule
I got the program function as ABRV. I want to have a Pushbutton on the screen so that when i click on it, it will direclty go to that
screen.

I would proceed as follows:
1. Creating a Pushbutton
for example:
Pushbutton (toolbar) "@3B\QText as Quickinfo@Testbutton" process="Test.txt"
2. Recording an input script with GuiXT
for example:
select the WBS element, goto Edit --> Cost --> Settlement Rule
3. Saving an input script as test.txt
4. Done

How to call custom themes for Web Dynpro ABAP Application?

I need to change the appearance of Web Dynpro ABAP application. So far I followed below steps,
1.     Created theme folder u2018testngou2019 (SE80->MIME Repositoty -> SAP->PUBLIC->BC->UR->nw5->themes -> u2018testngou2019 ).
2.     used program BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to dowmloaod content of u2018sap_tradeshowu2019 (SE80->MIME Repositoty -> SAP->PUBLIC->BC->UR->nw5->themes -> sap_tradeshowu2019) to desktop.
3.     Modified the themes using Eclipse Theme Editor.
4.     used program BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to upload modified themes to MIME repository u2018testngou2019 (SE80->MIME Repositoty -> SAP->PUBLIC->BC->UR->nw5->themes -> u2018testngou2019) .
My current URL is like http://server.name:XXXX/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_startpage_int_cand?sap-client=XXX.
Now I want to know how custom themes called for Web Dynpro ABAP Application.
Is my approach correct?

Hi Naddy,
What you used is one way and even I failed when tried that method,
Instead go to SE38 - WD_THEMES - and you need to upload the zip file and you need to follow a folder structure.
it is case sensitive, atleast the zip file.
Make a zip file by name "Project.zip" -
Create a Folder Project and have the below folder structure,
1 data - all the properties files and also the designinfo file, below is the code
2 themes - (to get all the files download the theme from portal and you will have all the folders)
   2.1 ur
     2.1.1 name of the theme
       2.1.1.1 common
       2.1.1.2 csf
       2.1.1.3 r
       2.1.1.4 ur - all the css files (would be good if you can get the files from the server.)
       2.1.1.5   WSRP
3 war - empty folder
*.designinfo
isVisible=true
version=7.0.14.1.0
isDefault=false
isSapDesign=false
designName=**** name of the theme
Once done create a zip file and click on Start Import and give the path and will ask for transport request, it will take a while to upload once done as mentioned in the use the parameter sap-ep-themeroot="path"
This will resolve the issue.

If you created a DLL out of your GIS application you could then call it from LabVIEW using a Call Library Function Node.
The best place to start understanding Call Library Function Nodes is the LabVIEW Help.

Invoice Class for Project Billing Transactions

We are using 2 types of Invoices for our customers. Normal monthly billing and Debit Notes
We have implemented Expenditures for normal monthly billing and Events based billing for Debit Notes (travel and other reimbursements charged to customer)
We want to track these 2 types of Invoices separately in GL Account Analysis. Currently, we have Projects Invoices and Projects Credit Memo as 2 Transaction Types. If we add another transaction Type called Debit Note, then can we select Invoice Class as Debit Note while doing Event based billing? Currently, Invoice Class field (in Project Billing module) is uneditable. So, by default, all invoices get accounted as Projects Invoice
Do let us know. In reporting, we are able to differentiate between 2 types of invoices but receivable account in GL includes both types and we need a mechanism in system to distinguish the 2 types

Transaction Types are set up in Receivables. You can set up Transaction Types for Source Project Invoices.
The process - PRC: Interface Invoices to Receivables calls a client extension that allows you to select the transaction type, for each draft invoice. It is called AR Transaction Type Extension, and it uses the procedure - pa_client_extn_inv_transfer.
I'm not sure if the system is limiting transaction types for the classes - Invoice and Credit Memo. You may try setting up transactions types in AR and assign them the class - Debit Memo.
However, you may still have a problem with accounting. Projects AA does not allow you to create a different account by transaction type, nor by transaction class.

this might be because you are using the plain struts taglibs. you should use the pdk-struts taglibs. more specifically, you should use the pdk-struts-html taglib instead of the struts-html lib, as the latter renders URLs for a struts application whereas you need portal-enabled urls, which are provided by the pdk-struts-html lib.
You can either change the taglib reference in your web.xml file to map the plain sruts-html.tld to the pdk-struts-html.tld (don't forget to include it and its jarfile in your deployment file), or you can add the library to every jsp page and replace the <html:whatever> tags by <pdk-html:whatever> tags. (or your other favourite prefix).

Costing for Miscellaneous issue transaction for project

We have a different requirement from the business
ours is R&D and we are using Oracle projects to track our projects costing and billing
we procure some material from outside supplier and it will get costed to the project but when any engineer want to use the material they want to reduce the material from the inventory by they dont want the cost to get reduced from the project
usually engineers take the material by doing miscellaneous issue for some testing and they never get in to the project again it will be treated as samples
currently when i do the miscellaneous issue it reduces the inventory from project and also the cost will get reduced.
Can someone help me out since it is very critical for us to acheive this,

The material should be first reeived to Inventort then transferred to projects
Ex 100 Quantity is Received @ 10 Each - Inventory Material value will be 1000 Unit Price 10
Now 10 Quantity is Issued(Samples) @ 0 each - Inventory material Value will be 1000 Unit Price 11.11
Now Transfer the remaining quantity to Projects i,e 90 quantity, & inventory material value will be 1000, unit price will be 11.11 (Use Project related Misc Transaction for Project Issues)
Even though material is issued with 0 unit price A/c entries will be generated
Dr. Given A/c
Cr. Inventory material value A/c
Here first the material is directly received into Inventory (Not related to projects organization) Miscellaneous Issue (For samples) is done with 0 unit cost after that The material is transferred to projects (Project Issues)
For Miscellaneous Issue (Samples Issue) a Personalization is need to done such that the Unit price will be freeze to 0.

EDI output message for Outbound Deliv send with application own transaction

Dear All,
I encountering a problem with the output message "WSOR" via EDI.
What i want:
I would to configure this message output without the Dispatch time " 3: Send with application own transaction".
What is encountering now:
I have done the setting in "VV22" or VV21, with the conbination of Delivery type and Shipping point. and the setting is EDI with dispatch time 3: Send with application own transaction.
But When i use ME2O to create the outbound delivery for subcontractor, the message output "WSOR" process automatically and the dispatch time is 4: Send immediately (When application save).
Can anyone please advice me what are the setting or area that i need to check!!

Hi Vijay,
If you are installing Project Server on SharePoint farm, You need to start the service Project Application Service which would be available after you install project Server 2013.
For Project Server Reporting you need to start Excel service and Secure Store service.

Enqueue for work item n deleted by called application

Hi All
We upgraded from 4.6C till ECC6.0 and from then we receive occasionaly messages in SM21: Enqueue for work item 000001198539 deleted by called application.
This results in problems when 2 dialog task are executes after each other. Somethimes the second taks is not executed. I find in the log the following errors:
- Temporary error in result processing of work item 000001199739
- Error when loading component: Work item 000001198388 locked
- Work item 000001198388 locked by user WF-BATCH (enqueue error)
This is the head of the WF that's locked..
We implemented all relevant OSS notes regarding the message, but still we receive those messages (notes 1040693 - 1050793 etc) We are on support package SAPKB70012.
I have checked the code in our custom WF and in some background task we use a DEQUEUE_ALL. Can this be the problem? The WF worked perfectly in 4.6C.

The entries we have solved by removing the DEQUEUE_ALL function in a method.
Still we receive somethimes errors in the workflow log

How can we get a url for a "Meet Now" conference call from within the Windows Store App?

Hi,
Is it possible to get the url for the current meeting / new "Meet Now" call from within the Windows Store app?
You have the option of inviting your current Lync contacts, but I don't see a way of giving a URL to clients that would launch Lync on their device, or take them to the web app.
I can see how to get the link using the Outlook plugin, for pre-scheduled meetings. Is this link always the same and the one that should be used for an impromptu "Meet Now" meeting? It would still be good to know how to get this URL from within
the store app so I can tell clients where to get it.
Some people may be on Windows RT devices and not have access to the plugin in Outlook, and want to start a meeting at short notice and then invite others via email or pasting a link to them elsewhere.
Any help appreciated.

OLE with c# for SAP AL - Error calling application via OLE GUIScanDoc

I am creating a small scanning application which should be accessible from SAP. I read the documents from SAP side which says, we need to create an OLE 2.0 Enabled application. I created an OCX application in vb6 and configured with SAP. the call is going to my ocx application but dont know how to implement "GUIScanDoc @AID,N" in my application. I tried to create a function named GUIScanDoc () in ocx but getting the same error stating *"Error calling application via OLE GUIScanDoc".
If anyone has solution then plz plz help me out.

WIP transaction for Project

I have created a standard descrete job with Project reference. I am manually issuing material to this DJ from non project locator. Will this transaction be eligible for transfer to Project?

Assuming you have enabled Project Manufacturing in that WIP / Inventory organization then yes. Issue items from non project locator to a WIP project work order is considered a transaction eligible to be cost collected and interfaced to PJC.
