H67 motherboards can't raise the CPU multiplier?

People say "H67 motherboards can't raise the CPU multiplier".
Is it true?
I want to overclock i5-2500K on the H67 board.

Maybe you should not start off with insults like that.

Those MB's and CPU's are new and we don't know a thing about them yet. So far we know about as much as you can find by searching the web or other peoples experience with them. We are all users here same as you and if you are the first here using them and asking questions then you already know more about it than anyone else on this forum.

  • Satellite M100 - I can't analyse the CPU temperature

I'm an owner of Toshiba Satellite M100 series (Core Duo T2300, X1400, etc.). The problem is that I can't analyse the CPU temperature changes in such popular application like Everest or Notebook Hardware Control. Also any other software provided by Toshiba and already installed on my HDD doesn't include some CPU diagnostics including the temperature changes!
The only software which seems to be working is the HWiNFO32 so there is some thermal sensor inside which reads this temperature of Centrino Duo processor, but this software is not very user-friendly :(
There is a request for Toshiba to do something with this... I've upgraded BIOS in my model to a version 1.70 but it didn't change anything I could easily notice (or is there any?) :(

    Hi
Like Mike said the BIOS update has nothing to do with the CPU temperature monitoring.
The fact is that Toshiba doesnt support any 3rd party applications.
However, all the temperature programs are not precise and dont get exactly information about the temperature. Only the programs with a physical temperature sensor will give you a exactly temperature.
I dont understand why its so important for you to know the temperature. The Toshiba notebooks support an overheating protection and if the temperature increases to the critical level so the unit shuts down automatically.

  • NI HyperTrend Control raises the CPU usage of NI Citadel DB and freezes it.

When a VI uses NI HyperTrend Control to fetch data from NI Citadel DB, the CPU usage of citadel is raised up to 10% and stops working.
I don't know what "stops working" means since my coworker told me so.
How can the control be prevented from freezing citadel?

    Best,
    1) Does the Trace VIEW in MAX work?
    yes with 3 signals(traces?)
    2) What version of LabVIEW are you running?
    9.0 SP1
    3) Can you run the Hyper Trend control without linking it to a particular trace?
    yes
    4) Can you use the Hyper Trend control without starting your VI?
    yes
    5) And he has another question.
Please refer to the attached image.
For now, if he wants to put Va/Vb/Vc in Y axis of a hyper trend control, he has to do it in the front panel.
He wants to put it in Y-axis via a property node in the block diagram.
    Is it possible?

  • How can I raise the volume on a video clip in Premiere Elements 12?

I want to raise the volume on a video clip in Premiere Elements 12. Can anyone help?

    jcomput
Always good to give the computer operating system involved in case any computer specific details needed to be included. But here is your
generalized yet specific answer for Premiere Elements 12 and increasing the volume of a video clip.
If you are in the Expert workspace...
    a. click and drag upward the orange band that runs horizontally through the middle of the audio clip.
    or
    b. go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/ Volume Panel expanded on move the volume slide toward +6 dB.
0 db does not represent no sound. It represents the volume of the sound when it was recorded. 0 to +6 dB increases the sound above the recording level; 0 to infinity symbol decreases the sound below the recording level, finally to muted sound.
Please let us know if you are OK with the details above. My blog post on PE12: Audio Features may be useful to you.

  • Can i raise the time limit in print server?

    Hello,
we have here a SL-Server that currently handle our macs.
Now we have the problem, that we receive print jobs from our IT in Australia and that the printers that will receive the jobs cancel this because they receive the information not fast enouth.
We have a print solution with Fiery here and this RIP can handle this, because we have there a high time frame to receive the jobs. But Fiery can not handle all of our printers.
Now I will activate the print service in my SL and i need the information if i can raise the timeframe there.
Or have SL-print service ano time limit?
    Many thanks

To my surprise that is not possible. Although, surprise...

  • How can I raise the audio level of just a PORTION of a clip (not the whole thing)?

Would like to raise the level of one part of my project but NOT the other. This only seems to allow me to raise the entire project, but not individual sections. Earlier versions of iMovie had the ability to crossfade several audio tracks, etc., but this 'new and improved' one doesn't. Am I missing something?
Have tried separating the audio, but that doesn't help.
    Thanks,
    Cameron

    Cameron,
Have a look at this article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iMovie/9.0/en/mov3b0fb5f2.html
You can adjust only a portion of the audio of a clip without further splitting it.

  • Can't get the CPU utilization above 52%

    Hi all,
I have an Intel i7 950 CPU based PC with Windows 10 TP on it which, no matter what, I cannot bring to 100% CPU utilization. While taking the attached screenshot, I was running prime95.exe.
I have tested the same scenario on the same computer running Windows 8/8.1 and got the same result. However, when doing the same thing under Windows 7, CPU utilization went up to 100%.
Anybody has any idea why this happens? Is it a different default setting somewhere (probably in registry)?
Since I have this fast machine I would like to be able to use it at its full strength - the way things are now, my old Quad core 2 GHz PC is MUCH faster than this 8 core 3 GHz one (as I measured in several tests consisting of transcoding videos).
    Thanks for any pointers!

    Hi VikTak-9b,
How did you get the CPU utilization information ?Are you getting the information from the task manager ?

I am a little confused here .According to my understanding ,the number is smaller the performance of the machine is higher when the other conditions are the same .

  • How Can I Measure the CPU Power My Flash Movie Uses?

    Hi All,
I'm working on a complex job that is intended to play on low-end PCs so I'm looking at ways to reduce the processor load the movie needs to play. Obviously large screen size, high frame rate, intensive ActionScript, and complex graphics all add greatly to how much CPU power is needed to run a Flash movie, but is there a way of getting an accurate reading of the CPU power it is using? I am modifying a job that was running badly on low-spec PCs so now want to adjust it to run faster and smoother so would like to somehow be able to compare the modified job with the original. Any Idea how I could do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I tried your suggestion and I could not get it to work well. In
fact it worked better without the running average (which suprised me).
I also played with the number of data points but still could not get it
    to work well.
Do you have any other suggestions on how I could sort this problem out?
    I
have attached a screen shot of the signal. To recap, I'm trying to
measure the'y' position of the flat regions of the signal. The signal
does not have a constant level, so this 'y' position varies with time
    in a non-unform manner.
    I am currently differentiating
the signal and selecting the y position when the differential is equal
to zero (within a tolerance band).
    In the screenshot, the
signal has been zeroed using the method I have described above.
However, it occasionally has glitches which may be caused when the code
picks up a zero gradient at a peak or valley in the signal.
I therefore need some kind of algorithm that only measures the position of the flat regions.
    Many thanks
     John

  • Safari 5 raises the CPU to 100%

The other day I updated Safari to version 5 and every time I open it revolutionizes the cpu. Looking at the processes that saw it was a PubSubAgent causing the problem. Looking on the Internet says it is responsible for the RSS sync with MobileMe but I have MobileMe. I delete the process but when I start Safari PubSubAgent reload and returns the CPU to be revolutionized. So far as a precautionary measure I have decided not to use Safari, I have eliminated all Mail RSS (was 4) and I've turned off all RSS Safari (which were not activated) but do not know how not to get that **** every time you start PubSubAgent Safari.
    Please Does anyone happen?
Does anyone know how to fix?

It seems less efficient than version 4. I'm watching http://www.apple.com/safari/download/ for an update.
Seems fine in general on my XP SP3 install. Running good on Windows 7 as well.

  • Satellite A350 - Can I upgrade the CPU to 2.4 or 2.6Ghz

Hey, i just purchased a A350 and i have a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz Processor but i want to upgrade to about 2.4-2.6ghz. These are my questions.
    1. Is it possible to do?
    2. Is it worth doing?
    3. I have a Intel Centrino sticker on the keyboard. This has confused me to do i have a Core 2 Duo or Centrino.
I have general knowledge about computers but im not a an expert. Any help would be muchly appreciated.
    Thank You.

    > 1. Is it possible to do?
Nothing is impossible but the question is if its advisable. In my opinion its not advisable. First of all the CPU upgrade will cancel your warranty. Secondly nobody would be able to say if the notebook would run stable after such upgrade and if the BIOS would support if correctly. There is a high risk of overheating because the stringer CPU creates more heat dissipation which would lead to a higher temperature
Last but not least you will not notice a big performance boost.
    >2. Is it worth doing?
In my opinion its not worth. Check the point 1.
    > 3. I have a Intel Centrino sticker on the keyboard. This has confused me to do i have a Core 2 Duo or Centrino.
Ive got a Satellite notebook equipped with CORE2 DUO T8100 (2.1GHZ) CPU and Ive got the same Intel Centrino sticker.
The Centrino sticker means that the CPU supports this technology but it does not mean that this is Centrino CPU.
For more details regarding Intel Centrino technology please check this Intel page:

  • Satellite A - Can I exchange the CPU?

Can you upgrade this on a laptop or is it completely impossible?
Mine is 2.0 GHz, iIcould do with it being 2.4 but I have no idea if this is even possible to do?

    Hello
I dont know what Satellite A notebook you have but CPU upgrades are not supported. The point is that the mainboard and BIOS must support a faster CPU. Furthermore a faster CPU produces more heat.
I think you should read this Toshiba article and dont forget that you will lost the warranty of the notebook if you upgrade it:
