Handling in/Handling out capacity

Dear colleague,
         when i run optimizer profile i get message that the material does not use the handling in/handling out capacities.
          can any body advise how can i remove this message from the message log.
Thanks
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,
This message generally comes if in the optimiser profile, the handling
capacity is considered as one of the capacity constraints and in the
master data for it is not maintained as mentioned by nandha

  • Any session scope form handler out of the box in atg commerce

    Is there any session scope form handler out of the box in atg commerce. Let me know if anyone is aware of such form handler.
    Thanks,

    Search based formhandlers are some that come to my mind
    CategorySearch (/atg/commerce/catalog/CategorySearch (DCS))
    CatalogSearch(/atg/commerce/catalog/CatalogSearch (DCS))
    ProductSearch(/atg/commerce/catalog/ProductSearch ((DCS))
    Incidentally i think all of them point to SearchFormHandler
    Few others i can this of are
    GiftListFormHandler
    CompareSkusFormHandler (deprecated i guess)
    CatalogSearchFormHandler (Extension of SearchFormHandler class)
    There could be many more , updates / additions will be nice

  • Save in a variable an instrument handle out

    Hello,
    I wanna create a sequence in teststand using labview step. the problem is the VI of my labview step has a function with instrument handle in and instrument handle out. How can I store those instrument handle out in a variable to be able to use that variable as the input of an instrument handle in in another VI and if it's possible wich kind of variable should i use in both labView and teststand.
    Thanks in advance for your answer

    You can use the Session Manager. There's an example (in 3.1 anyway), in the SessionMgr\Lv\LVDMM.seq.

  • Instrument Handle Out as Global variable

    Hi,
    How do i create "Instrument Handle Out" of an IVI function as a global variable.
    Regards,
    Siddu

    I don't work with IVI, but this should work - Open the globals VI and add an IVI Logical Name control (I/O palette).
    As a more generic solution, right click the output terminal and select Create>>Control. Find the control on the FP, copy it (ctrl+c) and paste it into your globals VI. In either case, it should now be a global variable.
    You should take care when working with globals, because you can cause race conditions - for example, you probably have to open communication to your device and pass the value of the reference into the global before being able to use it. If you don't, you may start having problems, and it will be hard to locate them.

  • Handling Out-of-Range and Overflow

    How to deal with Out-of-Range and Overflow?
    Suppose I have a SQL table with one column of datatype “tinyint”.
    tinyint’s range is 0-255.
    Table:
    create table xyz
    (     userid tinyint not null auto_increment,
    After inserting 256 rows, we cannot insert another row .
    When MySQL stores a value in a numeric column that is outside the permissible range of the column data type, MySQL rejects the out-of-range value with an error, and the insert fails.
    How to deal with this situation ?
    Obviously we can use some data type with very big range for e.g. bigint .. but still every data type got some maximum limit. So, there must be a way through which we can deal with this situation.

    It appears that you are referring to MySQL, not Oracle. If you have a MySQL-specific question, you most likely want to post the question in the MySQL forum.
    In general, though, what does it mean to you to "handle" the error? The insert throws an exception, your code can catch the exception. It can log the exception. It could, potentially, re-try the insert with a different numeric value that does not cause the failure. Is that what you mean by "handle"?
    When you're designing the data model, you need to pick data types whose ranges are large enough to accommodate the data you will ultimately insert. If you want to be able to store values larger than 256, you would need to choose a data type for the column that can handle numbers that large. That means that when you are creating the data model, you need to know, realistically, how many rows each table will have and what the maximum value in any particular column will be. And you need to set the data types appropriately.

  • How do i handle out parameter from a stored procedure in a vb form?

    hi all,
    I want to return a varchar2(500) type of out parameter from a pl/sql stored procedure to a vb form?? how do i do this??
    regards
    akshay

    Well, when you create the parameter collection for your command object, just set the correct value for the direction component.
    You would set it to one of the below, depending on if the parameter is IN OUT or only OUT:
            <parameter_obj>.Direction = ParameterDirectionEnum.adParamInputOutput
            <parameter_obj>.Direction = ParameterDirectionEnum.adParamOutput

  • Is it possible to independently manipulate a snapped handle of a corner anchor point?

    I stopped reading what's new since many versions and simply learn the new stuff when I need to or by discovery so, today I had to create various vector shapes and I got very annoyed that I can't pull a snapped handle of a corner point back and manipulate it without disturbing the handle on the other side. This has been always annoying problem for me and I'm just checking in case I have missed something.
    For example in a shape like this the highlighted corner anchor has one of its handles snapped to the point or in other words it is only with one handle. Is it possible to pull out an manipulate missing handle without disturbing the handle on the other side and any of the other handles?
    edit: just to let you know that I know the trick with deleting the segment and recreating it but that makes sense only when the neighboring point is corner too.

    I think a user nowadays would intuitively expect to just click and drag with a modifier/s key pressed to achieve that.
    In FreeHand, you can (yes, present tense; still works fine on current Windows) simply altDrag the middle of the straight segment that you want to bend. That one little very pratical feature gave rise to a whole drawing method which came to be called the "bendomatic" method (I think Olav Martin Kvern coined the phrase). Just click, click, click with the Pen, placing anchors at obvious locations, and bending the straight segments as you go. This was a very quick & intuitive way to teach beginners how to draw efficient paths with a minimum of anchors. But it is not just a beginner's trick. It lets you impart a stylistic consistency that is tedious to mimic in AI. Also very useful when working zoomed into segments the opposite anchor of which is off-screen.
    Xara Designer Pro (formerly named Xara Xtreme) mimics FH's "bendomatic" method. In fact, it's usually really the best way to draw paths efficiently in that program, because its Pen tool behavior is still otherwise sub-standard.
    Illustrator lets you alter the bend of a segment that already has its associated handles extended, which begs the question, "Who needs that, since the handles are already accessible?"
    But if you perform the exact same maneuver on a straight segment with retracted handles, you just move the straight segment and its two associated anchors. An example of the logical inconsistency that so permeates AI.
    FreeHand also provides other means by which to perform the alteration you depict. You can click a button to auto-extend the retracted handle without disturbing the adjacent segment. Or, you can just AltDrag the retracted handle out from the anchor with the selection pointer.
    These are just a couple of instances in which FH's basic path selection & manipulation interface is demonstrably more efficient and more elegant than AI's. It's just a better interface.

  • USABLE anchor and handle advancements

    It seems that with all the CS5 updates, especially PS CS5, the new features only reflect the most popular plugins available.
    SO.... why has illustrator not implemented any of the extremely useful plugin ideas developed to improve anchor and handle adjustment.
    My primary example is that of BetterHandles by nineblock: http://www.nineblock.com/products.html#betterhandles_prod
    It adds all the features I really need when trying to fine tune my bezier curves:
    Select multiple handles, and collectively move,  extend, rotate, or retract them
    Extend or retract handles without changing  their angles
    Copy and paste handles
    Edit points numerically: anchor, in handle, out handle
    Convert multiple points from corner to  smooth or vice versa
    Automatically extend new handles on multiple  points
    Intuitively reshape path segments,  optionally constraining handle directions
    Use slow-drag to divide the cursor movement  for extremely precise moves
    Equalize a point's handles
    See all the handles on a path while editing  it
    Split a path at one or more points
    Delete one or more points and close the path  around them
    Remove all redundant points on multiple  paths
    See when the cursor is over a handle, point,  or path — without having to use Smart Guides
    THESE SHOULD HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN THE CS4 UPDATE LET ALONE CS5. If it is an intellectual property issue, adobe should enter a contract with the rightholder and integrate it, I'm sure it will be more profitable for the owners than the random stumble like me.

    Wow that plugin sounds nice.
    Adobe should spend less time adding new features and more time "fixing" the ones they already have.

    </page>The included 'controlView' looks in part like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>
    <form xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui" name="controlForm">
        <contents>
            <submitButton text="Refresh" event="refresh">
            </submitButton>
            <submitButton text="Hide Controls" event="hideControls">
            </submitButton>
        </contents>
    </form>I had originally tried to include more page-level elements in the controlView.uix file and put the event handler there, but I always got an unhandled event exception, so I put the handler out in the main page.
    The event hander looks like this:
         public static EventResult handleControlFormSubmit( BajaContext context, Page page, PageEvent pageEvent ) {
              MutableState pageState = getMutableState( context, page );
              Informant.debug( "pageState.time = "+pageState.getValue("Time") );
              Informant.debug( "page.getProperty('Time') = "+page.getProperty("Time") );
              pageState.putValue( "Time", page.getProperty("Time") );
              page.setState( pageState );
              return new EventResult( page );
         public static MutableState getMutableState( BajaContext context, Page page ) {
              StateManager stateManager = context.getStateManager(true);
              State oldState = page.getState();
              if ( oldState == null ) {
                   return stateManager.getNewState();
              } else {
                   return StateUtils.cloneState( stateManager, oldState );
         }Now I'm not getting any exceptions, but the event handler isn't being called. I'm really just trying to get the debugging printouts at this point, to learn how the State works, but the page just redisplays and the printouts in the event handler never seem to get called.
    What am I missing?

    John -
    The "source" of the event is going to be the id of the submitButton which fires the event - not the form name. So, try changing:
    <event name="refresh hideControls" source="controlForm">to:
    <event name="refresh hideControls">And I believe your event handler should be called.

  • -1074130544 The session handle is not valid.

    I am using LabView 2011 on Win7.
    I am trying to work my way through the "Verification Procedure" part of the "NI PXI-4071 Calibration Procedure".  Step 3 of the Verification Procedure states "Call the niDMM Reset VI." and displays Figure 1. The Device, NI PXI-4071, displays OK in NI-MAX (Figure 2) and works OK with the "NI DMM Soft Front Panel" program. When I run what I think is the correct code, the error -1074130544, "The session handle is not valid." is displayed. The BD and FP are shown in Figure 3.

    Hi Ed,
    If you want to call niDMM Reset, you will need to provide an instrument handle rather than an instrument descriptor.
    To start a session to your DMM and generate an instrument handle that you can use with other NI-DMM functions, you will first need to call niDMM Initialize or niDMM Initialize with Options.  You can wire the "Dev1" to the "Instrument Descriptor" pin and the function will return an instrument handle.  You can then wire the "instrument handle out" pin to the "instrument handle" pin on the niDMM Reset VI.  Whenever you initialize a session to an instrument, it is also good practice to close out the session by wiring the instrument handle to a niDMM Close function.  The snippet of code below shows what I've described:
    I also included a Simple Error Handler VI to report any errors that occur.
    Also, it looks as if you are calling niDMM Reset with Defaults instead of niDMM Reset.  If you haven't assigned any user-defined default values to your device's logical name then the two calls should be functionally equivalent.
    If you make these changes you should no longer generate the error.
    Good luck!

  • How to show bezier handles in cs4?

    hi all
    i have drawn a triangle using the pen tool, it has 3 points.
    i'd like to modify the bezier handles to give it curved edges but dont know how to make IL show the handles.
    could someone please advise?
    many thanks
    -s

    With the convert anchor point tool (Under the Pen tool or Shift C) click and drag the handles out of the anchor point.
    Or Effect>Stylize>Rounded Corners might work for you the effect can be expanded but keeping it live gives you the opportunity to change or , hide or delete the effect even after saving.

  • Return code and handle

    Back to basics! but I do not have clear idea of what the "Return Code" and "Handle" are? I have a small VI that I want to incorporate into another VI. WHat role these two terms play such case?
    Thanks

    Sorry about ot being clear about my issue. I have a Trigger Enable VI that someone (in fact, a company whose DAQ card we use for our experiements) wrote for us. The VI, when corrently incorporated into the main VI (which performs data acquisition and analysis) will trigger the acquisition system at right instant and gather data for next 1/10 sec.  The main VI controls the DAQ card installed in our computer. It takes two signals (f=25KHz) as inputs from 2 photo detectors. The card can take the ramp output (f=10Hz, Amp=1Vpp) from an external signal generator and should begin DAQ and processing when the ramp signal reaches its peak (+0.5V) and continue taking data until it reaches trough (-0.5V), i.e. 5000 samples in one cycle of trigger signal.
    Now, the main VI has multiple Sub-VI's and one of them configures the card for input signal levels, trigger levels, etc. This sub-VI also has a couple of sub-VIs regarding the extermal triggering. Since I figured that the Trigger Enable VI will have to be placed inside this VI, I was looking at the block diagram of the Trigger Enable VI and the two outputs it has are "Handle Out" and "Return Code". I am not sure what they are/mean hence the post.
    Thank you

  • Fr me it's all'r nothin' - Handling all channels as a unit

    Premiere Elements 8.
    A) Tasks:
    1. Clear everything between 01:00 and 02:00 on all channels.
    2. Delete everything between 01:00 and 02:00 on all channels (i.e. clear + close gaps).
    B) Task:
    Given a PE8 project, create a new project and import the former as a single clip.
    How would one go about carrying out the above tasks?

    From what you wrote in another thread, i understand that it's easier done in the Pro edition, where you can host several subprojects in a single project. Is this correct?
    Not exactly, as I will try to explain.
    First, a little history lesson:
    In earlier versions of PrE, there was both the File>Export and also the Share tab. In PrE 8, it appears that everything was moved to the Share tab, but they forgot to remove the Export from the File drop-down. Now, going back, there was a bit of overlap between the two, so I understand why Adobe moved Export into Share. The term, Share, doesn't roll off my tongue, but I can see the positive marketing aspects of that. Anyway, in PrE 8, all exporting is under the Share tab, and the various sub-menus and drop-downs.
    Jump over to PrPro. In earlier versions of PrPro, there was the File>Export with several selections in the fly-out menu. Movie and Adobe Media Encoder (AME) were two. Again, there was a touch of overlap, but the two were under the same File>Export location. As of CS4, the File>Export>Movie went away, and everything goes through AME. Now, AME is a stand-alone program, though CAN be called from within PrPro. What this did was allow for one to load up the AME with several Sequences (those mini-Projects that I spoke of). One can then Export via AME several Sequences, while still working in PrPro - both batch processing, and a method to free up PrPro for more work. In the past, when you Exported, the program was otherwise unusable.
    In the past, one could only Export one of those Sequences at a time. Not so now that AME has been broken out and is a stand-alone. Most old-time users went ballistic, as they could not find there old Export options, and also resented having to use a stand-alone program, even if they could load and call it from within PrPro. Most of that clamor has subsided, but not completely.
    For me, the idea of Sequences is one close to my heart. I edit in them, as though they were "chapters," or "scenes." I Import them into Encore (my authoring program) as individual Timelines. I work with them as Chapters there. Until CS4, I had to Export the Video for Sequence 01, then the Audio for that Sequence. I'd move to Sequence 02 and do the same thing. Each Sequence would be handled the same way. Now, with CS4, I can load up all Sequences (actually twice), set the first instance to Export Video-only and the second instance to Export Audio-only, for ALL Sequences. I start the queue and turn my back. I can do all sorts of work, even in PrPro, while AME chugs away.
    Now, there are several file types, and CODEC's on my machine, that will Export/Share directly out of PrE, that will not Export from PrPro. Things like DivX can be directly handled out of PrE, but not out of PrPro. Differences. There are others that are available in PrPro, but not in PrE, like DLT tape, etc.
    I'd judge the speed of Export to be very similar between the two programs. The main difference is that PrPro CS4 can Export a bunch of stuff at one time and can also do it while one edits, but it takes a couple keystrokes to load it up, determine what is to be done, and then start the queue. PrE needs focus to Export/Share, but can do it with one click (after the settings are established).
    It's not really about quicker, or better, just differences. Sorry that I wasn't totally clear on this.
    There are other differences, in that PrE can also author a DVD-Video and do so easily, with some semi-automation. PrPro CS4 cannot. One must use Encore, or similar, and then all of the authoring is done by hand. There is no semi-automation, though with that extra work come vast power. Again, there is no better, just quick and neat from one program, or slower, great and with almost infinite power, using two programs.
    We get a lot of users, who are new to Encore on that forum, but have used programs like PrE. They cannot believe that there is no automation and that a user must do it all by hand. Most, however, are soon seduced by the power. It's just not what they were used to.
    Hope that this clears things up a bit,
    Hunt

  • Capacity Utilization in LTP

    Dear Guys,
    How we can handle the Capacity Utilization in Long-Term Planning, when the capacities of Short-Term\Mid-Term Planning are still not defined properly.
    Would you please clarify it for me. Thank you in advance!

    Hi Payam
      LTP is carried out to assess the long term capacity requirement with the projected level of utilization, future plans for example whether expansion of capacity is needed or not, since the capital investments are needed for capacity expansion. short and mid level planing can be carried out to assess the utilization,  and whether expansion of  shifts ( Extended working hrs) without making any capital expenditure.
      short and mid planning are not mandatory for LTP. any planning can be carried out at an time. but the scope and purpose may be different
    Hope this Helps Reward our points
