Has EVDRE suppression been fixed in v7.0 SP5 or SP6 ????

Hi all
I need to know whether a problem has been fixed in either SP5 or SP6 of v7.0.
When we tested SP4, we were unable to suppress EVDRE using flags, where the suppression point of view is different to the point of view in the EVDRE
e.g if time is in your suppression but not in either your rows or columns
The problem apparently did not exist in SP3 and only started in SP4.
Unfortunately, if it is still there, then I may as well forget the upgrade testing for v7, as we cannot work with this error in place.
Can anyone confirm whether it has been fixed/patched or if there is a workaround in place?

I have been messing around with this last few days, and i really love the feature to pinpoint the validation errors on map.
I has always been so annoying to try pinpoint these errors using some other GIS software while doing your sql.
I have stumbled to few bugs:
1. In "Validate geometry column" dialog checking option "Use DimInfo" actually still uses value entered in tolerance text box.
I found this because in my language settings , is the decimal operators
2. In "Validate geometry column" dialog textboxs showing sql, doesn't always show everything from long lines of text (clipping text from right)
3. In "Validate geometry column" dialog the "Create Update SQL" has few bugs:
- if you have selected multiple rows from results and check the "Use Selected Geometries" the generated IN-clause in SQL with have same rowid (rowid for first selected result) for all entries
Also the other generated IN clause in WHERE-clause is missing separator if you select more than one corrective function
4. "Validate geometry column" dialog stays annoyingly top most when using "Create Update SQL" dialog

PDF in Safari: Fonts not displaying correctly: Has this bug been fixed?

Last year I was trying to view a PDF on the iPad with Safari, and there was a font corruption problem: On zooming in, the type would become garbled. Now granted, I was using a non-standard font (Univers Type 1). I also noticed this problem with certain magazines in the MagCloud app. I decided to work around the problem by converting my type to outlines; while this worked, it made the PDFs much larger in file size.
I checked this bug again under iOS 4.3 and could not replicate it. I've found anecdotal evidence out there that as of iOS 4.2.1 this may have been fixed, but I can't find confirmation. Any help in this regard is much appreciated. I need to present my project managers with discrete evidence that this bug has been fixed before they'll allow me to go ahead with "live" type -- and as we all know, the plural of anecdote is not data. Thanks.

Apologies, I should also make clear another key point...where it's blowing out (multiple places), I'm using apex_item within the SQL to render the form. So that's where the problem lies

I'm having the exact same problem. As a classical music lover, this is driving me nuts. It's especially noticable in soft passages in the music, when the volume is turned up high. When the dynamics increase, the little pops/clicks appear (they sound a bit like static noise, as someone stated earlier in this thread). It happens at irregular intervals. When you play pop music, the clicks will disappear (drown) in the music. But for true audiophiles who listen mainly to jazz and classical music this is a severe problem.
I have checked everything and it's definitely an airplay issue. My apple lossless files are 100% okay and play without any problem, except when streamed via airplay. Also, it makes no difference whether you use the analogue or the optical ouptut from the airport express.
I've created a sine frequency sweep myself in Adobe Audition, from 20 Hz up to 20000 Hz with a duration of 25 seconds and a level of -6 dB.
When played through airplay, the clicks always start to appear after 4 seconds in the sweep, only to disappear at 23 seconds.
The clicks manifest themselves at different volume levels. To my ears, they make the same sound as when you change the volume in iTunes when streaming music through airplay. Only when you set the volume in iTunes extremely low, the clicks will disappear.
Apple engineers should use a frequency sweep to recreate the problem, as this is very revealing.
PS: file format isn't an issue here. I've converted the Apple Lossless file to MP3, and it makes no difference at all.

Has PSE 12 been fixed to connect with Shutterfly?

I I created a photobook in PSE 12 and transfered it to Shutterfly for creating the book. This feature is not active. Previously, I heard that Adobe was working on a fix. Has this been solved?

First I haven't used Shutterfly; Second, I don't use PSE12 (I have PSE11); Third, You can use Express Uploader provided by Shutterfly to upload your photos. Uploading itself should not stop you from using PSE12. <http://www.shutterfly.com/downloads/express_uploader.jsp>

Exporting video sees jerkiness, has this issue been fixed ?

Many months ago I had need to export the animation as a video file, tried both avi and mov, only to see the smooth movement in flash test movie become jerky in the exported video file. Others on the forums had also experienced this and I tried the various suggestions they had tried, but nothing worked. The most promising seemed to be a program that created a still frame from each flash frame, but no joy.
I even tried camtasia screen capture, for if it looked smooth in flash test movie, why not capture that this way. Amazingly it also still ran jerky.
I have plan views of cars and they travel across screen but with the occasional jerk in their motion, as opposed to jerky throughout, two or three per car.
fps is 60, we found the action in test movie was jerky with the 25fps or even 12fps, and it got better the more fps we used.
I just wonder, as I need to provide a non jerky video file to the client, what to try now ?
Has Adobe fixed the issue ?
Would running this through Pro CC solve it, has Pro fixed the video export jerks issue, though we cannot go using a prog that makes use of the network to create things as the network here is hopelessly slow. It would have to write it locally to the HD.

sometimes what you perceive as jerky is just movement that's too fast for a slow frame rate and it's unavoidably noticable to human eyes
Cars travel across the animation which fills a 1024pixel width screen taking 1.66 secs to do so. Its not a fast motion in my book. Would what you refer to see a jerkiness throughout the entire left to right same speed motion of the car or would it account for what we see, just two or three jerks during an otherwise acceptable smooth travel (see Note A) ?
Why is the motion perfect in Flash, or certainly not showing these jerks in a noticeable way but then jerky upon export movie ?
The swf plays fine when run from windows in Adobe Flash Player, but converted to avi or mov it then sees cars with two or three jerks during their travel.
After you export from Flash, preferably at double the framerate you're interested in targeting, you should be able to reduce it by half and let frame blending smooth out some of the jerkiness. Having twice the frames to choose from will greatly help the blending in quality apps like Premiere
I try 120fps as you suggest. I choose export quicktime mov and set frame rate to 120 but the system wont let me, saying the quicktime frame rate needs to match the flash document frame rate.
I try for avi but see no option to even set the fps.
How do I export as 120fps ?

Flash CC wont run on XP I see, and we have XP, and for many months yet.
I am told try Prelude to remove the two or three jerks in motion but Prelude CC same OS issue, need win7 or 8.
Prelude is OnLocation, I wonder if OnLocation would help, if I can find a trial of it. Unable to commit to buy without knowing. CS5 was ok with XP but was Prelude or OnLocation in CS5, I cant seem to find out.
Note A: The motion in Flash cannot be termed perfect, watch the cars very carefully and they have a very slight stuttering throughout their entire travel. This was more noticeable at 12fps and 25fps and we settled on 60fps as best compromise between improving this and far too many frames per second to make the editing possible, timeline being miles long etc.

I just put up a new iWeb website and firefox is putting BIG BLACK BOXES around all my photos. Why has this not been fixed yet? I have to tell everybody who views my site NOT to use Firefox. This is unacceptable. Please fix ASAP. This is my site below.

You will have to wait for Firefox 6 to get this fixed. It is a bug only in Firefox 5. That bug existed when the Firefox 5 code was split off and Firefox 5 didn't get the fix that later version got.

In the summer of 2013 I updated my Macbook Air to Mavricks and my solid state hard drive crashed and had to be replaced. Has this issue been fixed and is it safe to upgrade?

Please help! I don't want to have to get a new hard drive. My warentee has now expired. Is it safe to upgrade? The service person I talked to said that it had happened to quite a few MacBook Airs.

This will probably be umpteenth thread started on the Pages app iPad crash, but I've looked at a bunch and still no progress.
Can someone please tell me if the tech gurus at Apple have fixed the iPad Pages application so it won't crash when iCloud is turned on?
Here's what I've done so far:

Redownloaded Pages for reinstall
Started Pages with iCloud turned off
Turned on iCloud with Pages running
Pages immediately crashes
TOTAL RESET of iPad
Initialized as New

Okay... I think I've sorted out the problem. Hopefully this will help someone else.
First: DO NOT reset your iPad as new. My poor wife lost a lot of data for no good reason.
Analysis: On the MacBook Pro when saving documents it's not always perfectly clear where the document will be saved. When using any application that saves "documents" it's possible to get them splattered all over the place without knowing that's what you're doing. In the meantime, Pages - on both the mac and the iPad, when set to use icloud, will save documents to iCloud. Combine the saved documents from Pages from two devices with various and sundry other documents from other applications and get the directory structure totally messed up and you have the conditions necessary to cause your iPad to crash when using Pages and icloud.
THE Answer: Clean up your directory structure on the Mac and make the icloud directory structure the same. Once that's done - on your iPad turn off the icloud syncing feature in settings for all documents and Pages. Then turn off icloud syncing in Pages. Shut down your iPad. Turn your iPad back on, start Pages with all icloud syncing turned off. With Pages running, go to settings and turn on all the icloud syncing features. Make sure Pages is set to use icloud.
That solved it for us. Basically: Clean up your directory structure and make sure there's no nonsense there.
I know this isn't very technical - but it worked. Pages no longer crashes.

Okay.....this is ridiculous, if you search the web you find hundreds of people complaining about this problem and not one offers any type of solution. This never happened on my Blackberry. This ONLY started happening again a few weeks ago on the iPhone.
I have NOT changed any settings anywhere as it relates to email. This is just annoying when you are trying to work and you get buzzed to only find the same ones deleted are back again.
Is there a FINAL solution to this problem Apple.

If it used to work properly you could try deleting and recreating the account on your phone to see if that would help. Otherwise you might have to contact godaddy support to see if they know if their server will honor the settings on your phone.

Has Apple maps been fixed? I have held off on iOS 6.

I will avoid iOS 6 until maps is working.

However, as, generally speaking, the people running Apple don't appear to be completely dim, I would guess that they are making improvements as quickly as possible.

The answer is sadly no. I installed FR1 again on Leopard, and I am amazed at how superior it is to FR2 in almost every way: organisation, usability, the way it seamlessly integrates music with everything, video playback, video thumbnails (not that I don't mind the march of thumbnails, but for video moving thumbnails are essential), resuming of videos not bought on iTunes, fast forward and rewind. Heck, it even looks better!
The only thing missing really is scrolling titles (and to a certain extent speed).

I'm in the same situation, a year ago I purchased a T420 and I was very pleased as the notebook was very quietly most of the time. My notebook was stolen a week ago () and I'm looking for a replacement. As I understand not everybody is suffering this problem of whining fan, have any idea if this problem could be associated to only some particular models??. For example, this problem affects both the models with integrated & dedicated graphics (as far as I understand the dedicated GPU can generate lots of extra heat inside the machine that needs to be dissipated)??

Adobe Reader saved tax forms are unreadable by Adobe Reader. Has this been fixed?

When I file my tax deposits it gives an option to "view and save as pdf". In February this would only work if I installed Adobe Reader on my mac so I did. None of the saved deposit records from January thru May is readable. I discovered the problem in June and just sent the pdf to the printer software which then saved it as a pdf.
I didn't find out about it until I tried to read one of the saved deposit pdf's and got Adobe's arrogant little error message that blames everybody else for the problem.
Has this defect been fixed?

When you you finish filing a tax deposit the IRS software provides a list of options for keeping a record of your work. One of them is 'View and Save as PDF' which has the Adobe logo and invokes Adobe Reader. When you click on it, it displays a nicely formatted page showing the transaction you just filed.
When you go to the Safari file menu and click on 'save as…' it asks for a file name and all that and seems to work just fine. But the file it stores has nothing in it.
It used to work just fine. I have been using the view and save as pdf feature since 2008. The same logo the same messages, the same process.
In February of this year when I clicked on the logo it told me I had to load Adobe Reader in my Applications folder. So I did. Everything looked and felt exactly the same as before and I assumed it was working. The only difference is that it now stores empty files. I didn't discover it until I tried to read one of the files and got the message from Adobe Reader.
I am using the same version of the mac os as before; the only change was the one to add Adobe Reader to the applications folder.

iOS 5 update works very well on my iPad 2 ... I like multi-touch gestures the most as I can use less of Home button. However, WiFi Sync with my iTunes Windows 7 (x64) does NOT work despite trying several solutions suggested by users in this forum.
However, iOS 5 update on iPhone 4 has been very bad just like the thousands of users who have been complaining in this forum and elsewhere. Extremely sluggish performance and high battery consumption rate. After trying several combinations to turn off several SHOW PIECE features, I have finally narrowed it down to CALENDAR Notification ... turn in off in Settings > Notification > In Notification Center (scroll down to) > Calendar > Notification Center [OFF]. Turning this off defeats the purpose ... 2 steps forward (with iOS) and 4 steps backwards (Calendar alerts/notification is very important). With Calendar Notification ON, the CPU usage is over 90% ... the moment it is turned OFF, it returns to less than 10%.
Well, this is my experience ... it may or may not fix for others though!
