Having trouble installing ADS USB PCI adapter (USBX-500)

I wanted to add a couple USB ports to my old Power Mac G4 (running OS X 10.4.11) and found an old ADS USBX-500 card laying around. I installed the card in my machine but it doesn't seem to be recognized. System Profiler doesn't seem to see the card. I plugged a mouse into one of the USB ports, but it doesn't seem to be getting power. Is there some driver needed to get this card to work? I saw some old Apple instructions about a driver for System 8.6 or later, but I also saw some other info that said Macs that had built-in USB ports didn't need any special drivers. I'd appreciate any info about how to get this card to work, or info that it won't work. Thanks.

Best bet is any card with a NEC PD720100 or PD720101 chipset. Stick with the NEC chip, and try NOT to use drivers, Tiger doesn't need the drivers.

Having trouble installing Arch Linux to USB key

I have read the wiki article, but it doesn't answer my question. I am having trouble installing Arch to a USB key (8GB Sandisk Cruzer). I installled GRUB correctly, it booted, but the flash drive was write-protected. In the fstab file, I have the defaults and noatime flags in there. I have never experienced an error like this, and I don't know how to fix it. I have tried to reboot into the Arch CD and mounted the USB, but it just stalls and displays no output. Obviously, if I boot into my USB (you can still boot into it), and do "nano /etc/fstab", it says that I cannot write. In case you were wondering, I am using the root user. Thank you for all your help!
EDIT: I have Syslinux, the kernel parameters is RW. If I run mount -o remount,rw /dev/sda1, it tells me something like:
ata3.00: status: {DRDY ERR}
ata3.00: error: {IDNF}

I did NOT hit CTRL+C.

I'm a nub, and I think I'll piggy back of aqua's post. Perhaps we have the same problem
I have an Asus UX31A with Xubuntu (with grub) currently installed. I created the bootable USB as per the Arch Wiki UEFI bootable usb page. I can boot into the main prompt where you can choose "Arch Linux Iso", "shell v1", "shell v2" and "Default prompt."
Choosing the first option (to get to the the command prompt and begin installing) makes the screen flash once, then just hangs black. Before the flash I think I see three text lines in the upper left corner, but they flash so fast I can't read them.
Choosing either of the shell options presents the error:
"Error loading \EFI\shellx64_v1.efi: Unsupported" (replace "v1" with "v2" for the other option)
Any thoughts?

from the list on the left. On the right you should now see a list of all connected USB devices, as well as some built-in components. Is the device shown?

No installation required. Just plug it in to a USB port and it should work. If it doesn't then either the drive is no good or the USB port has failed.
The DVD drive will not show up on the desktop or in Finder unless you have a CD or DVD disc inserted in it. It will show in Disk Utility when it is connected to one of the USB ports.
Could also be your Air is not supplying enough power to it from just one USB port. In that case you would need a Y USB cable that connects to 2 USB ports at the same time to supply the correct amount of power to the drive.

I am having trouble installing 6.9.2 on a W2K system. I tried using the same CD and installing on another W2K system and it installs o.k. This system will let me install LabView, TestStand, and Fieldpoint, but did not let me install Daq 6.9.2.

I tried another CD writer, and this time the program started o.k. and did not stall. It went through the installation procedure without a problem. I went ahead and installed a PCI-6602 and a PCI-6035E, but when the machine booted up, it did not pick up the drivers for it. I tried to manually assign the drivers but found that the drivers were not even available. I went into Measurement Automation Explorer and the software explorer did not detect the NIDaq installed. I checked in the windows desktop and the NIdaq was also not found. Then I reinstalled NIDaq and noticed that when it says features being added nothing is listed as bein added. I go back to the previous page and check the folder to add support for 5.0 and then the next page tells me that sup
port driver files for 5.0 will be added but nothing else.
I ended up using the NIDaq 6.9.1 and everything installed without a glitch.

Although that combination isn't supported, many people have made it work.
Why would a job require Reader 8? All older files are compatible with newer versions. Or at least they should be.

I could really use Customer Service help. I received Photoshop Elements as a gift for Christmas...I waiting until i got a new laptop so that I could use that as i was having trouble with older computer. However, I am having trouble installing the software...I swear the dvd added the programs, and I saw them in files explorer i think, but then I cannot find or I was not even able to add the serial number to my knowledge, because it was blank...no keystrokes were shown...and i don't see the program anywhere...Could I have down something wrong and it is somewhere in the cloud?

Thanks for your help here is what I did so far!
I have uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it, I've tried restarting my browser, then my MacBook Pro without any success!
When I click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner and open System Preferences I can see Adobe Flash Player on the bottom under the Other section.
If I open Adobe up and check the version it tells me that I have the most recent version!
I even uninstalled Adobe and installed the newest Beta version, but Adobe is still not working! If I check for the latest version it tells me that I do have the latest beta version, but it still doesn't work!
If the person who made the video used any other video player it works!
Their player, plays the video without a problem!

It is difficult to determine the point of failure from your install log summary. I would recommend reviewing the install logs in their entirety to locate the exact error. With a single user license, you can install Acrobat on maximum two computers, say, your laptop at work and desktop at office.
But, you cannot use Acrobat on both the machines simultaneously.
You will first need to deactivate Acrobat from the old machine, then install and activate the software on the new OS with the same serial key.

I'm having trouble installing photoshop cc through the creative cloud app. My PC is windows 8, I'm sure that's not a problem, right? It takes a long time to move up every percent and then after 10% it says that it failed to install nothing else. Another time it just said error. I need help please! I need this program ASAP! When it is installing I get a message that states "the older version of Itunes can not be removed."
Then the installations process is aborted.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
