HCMPF - Process Object info in the generic service

Hi,
I would like to have process information (Process Object GUID or Process Reference Number) in the back end generic service i.e BAdi implementation of Interface IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE during runtime. How we would do this?
Thank You,
Naddy.

Hi Mukesh,
I guess Process reference Number is created after 'Check and Step'. The documentation says, the process object gets created when process is initialized. I need this Process Object GUID  in the form generic service (step 'Fill out Form') to get the details of process.
I have added following fields in the methods GET_SPECIAL_FIELDS, GET_OPERATIONS, GET_FIELD_INFO of generic service interface IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE.
1) PROCESS_GUID
2) CASE_GUID
3) STEP_GUID
4) STEP_OBJECT_GUID
I would like to get the  Process Object GUID  in the method DO_OPERATIONS of generic service generic service interface IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE.
Thank you very much for your help.
...Naddy

Add new user-agent info to the sample services-config.xml file.
    Modified Paths:
    blazeds/trunk/resources/config/services-config.xml

Resolved! The problem was in the php code the wizard had generated as an example and that I had edited in Dreamweaver. I had tried to start a session and set session objects in the php code. I developed if() { statements} to check the session variable before executing the function in some of my data services. Apparently the wizard does not like this. I removed all references to session. I reconfigured the input types and the return types for each service. With the code now clean the wizard created the example code and placed the proper package in the scr.services package. I still have custom php code and it executes.
    Things I learned:
If the php code stops when a session variable is not available in the if statement and the data service is refreshed, the wizard will not "look" beyond the if statement.
Functions downstream of a session variable misshap will show in the data services window but the functions will have a circle icon to the left of the function name and each variable to be passed to the php code will be declared as type = Object in Flashbuilder. The input types and return types will have to be reconfigured for each non-functioning function. Simply commenting out a portion of the php code and attempting a refresh will not make it work again.
When the wizard is unable to refresh properly because of a stop in the php code it stops working completely so additional refreshes or creation of code is not carried out.
I decided to create a My SQL table for user and other identifiers rather than attempting the session object again.
Sorry, I did not make screen shots as I solved this problem. I hope the solution is not hard to visualize.
Thanks for looking and considering how to help me. I hope my solution works for you.

  • Process Object usage in the HR Administrative Services

    Hello,
Does anybody have more details on how the process object is used in the HR Administrative Services in mySAP ERP 2005?
The SAP Online Help doc we have says that the process object is the data persistence object in this workflow.   I'd like to find out the following:
    1) how to save data into a process object
    2) how to retrieve data from it later in the workflow
    3) ultimately how is the process object itself persisted?  As an independent XML file, an XML file stored as a record in the relational DB, or as a bunch of records in the relational DB?
    Thanks,
    Ye

The process object can be picked from the workflow by reading the context of workflow.
You can analyse this in the workflow process provided by SAP i.e. transfer process etc.

  • Generic service to populate fields in HCM Processes and Forms

    Dear Friends,
I am developing generic service to populate some fields in HCM Processes and Forms. Please let me know whether i need to develop a single service for each field in the form or is better to write one generic service for all the form fields.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Sapient,
By right, generic service means to be generic so that it can be re-used in any HCM forms thats needed the field/validation from the generic service.
Unfortunately in real situation, generic service are not reusable for some reasons:
    - for the same field same field might have different validation in different form.
    - there is dependency, example, to read special field
The key thing here is all about the design and planing before development. Whereby if you have all the info and requirement HCM form to be implemented(which you wont get it for most of the cases), and you have the overall view of all HCM to be implemented and you are able to plan ahead before coding, then you can design the generic service for each/related field.
If it is not the case, i would encourage to use 1 generic service for all the field in the HCM form. It would ease the team during support/maintenance phrase as well. For sample, please refer to HRMSSRCF_REQUISITION_ADVANCED for Create Requisition form.
This is my humble opinion based on my experience working on HCM forms. Please do comments and discuss.
    regards,
    Xiang Li

  • How to create Generic Service in HCM Processes and Forms

    Hi Friend's,
Can you tell me what are the steps to create Generic Service in HCM Processes and Forms and also tell me how to link Generic service with BADI.
In SPRO, I defined one customized generic service, but i cant able to implement the generic service to BADI. Moreover it's asking for Composite Badi Implementation name.
So tell me the steps which guide me to create that.. Waiting for your replies....

  • HCM Process and Forms Generic Service Error

I tried creating a generic service for HCM Process and Forms using enhancement spot HRASR00GENERIC_SERVICES. After I created a custom implementation I then added the filter value = ZH_FORM_HEADER (my generic service name/definition). When I try to go into the configuration and add the generic service and do the binding of the fields I get an error stating "Generic Service ZH_FORM_HEADER has more than one implementation." I have double checked and only one implementation is using that filter value and there are no implementations with a blank filter value that belong to this enhancement spot. Any suggestions on what could be wrong? I can create generic services and the implementations of the BADIs just fine in our sandbox just not in the development instance. Also, I have tried searching on OSS and SDN and couldn't find any messages associated with this problem.

    Hi :
We are having a similar problem. Our generic service works OK in development system. But after we transport the service to Test system, the service haveing the error " Generic service XXXXXX has more than one implementation".
Have you solved your problem? Can you tell us the solution?
    Best regards!

  • Doubts with generic service in "HCM processes and forms"

    Hello friends:
Im having troubles trying to figure out how to use generic services. I implemented a badi with generic services and this have the following methods:
    IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~GET_SPECIAL_FIELDS
    IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~GET_FIELD_INFO
    IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~GET_OPERATIONS
    IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~INITIALIZE
    IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~DO_OPERATIONS
    IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~GET_HELP_VALUES
I could initialize values of my form using only INITIALIZE method, and I could perform some validation using  and then DO_OPERATIONS.
I cant understand what is the usage of methods like GET_FIELD_INFO and GET_OPERATIONS?? according to the badis help, get_field_info must be implemented, but i didnt do so and it worked anyway?
I will be grateful with all your help,
    Best regards,

GET_FIELD_INFO is for adding fields. Suppose you are using the generic service for IT0008 data. The IT0008 fields
which need to be used on the adobe form has to be added in this method. You need to add field name and data element
to the field_infos table. GET_OPERATIONS is used to define operations associated with the fields. Suppose you have a
scenario when user selects personnel area all personnel subareas associated with the selected value should come.
Then you need to group together personnel area and sub area together into an operation. Also even if a field is not aasociated
with any operation, to add a field to form scenario you need group them into operations in GET_OPERATIONS.
Check the class CL_IM_HRRCF_REQUI_REQUEST to determine how this can be used.
    Thanks,
    Aravind

  • Generic Service error in HCM Processes and Forms

    Hi ,
I have created generic services and they are working fine in the Development system .But when it is moved to testing system , all the services are active. But it still reports that the none of the generic services including the standard SAP delivered generic services are inactive.
Did anyone face this problem ? How to resolve this issue , any help in this regard would really be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Saujanya

I have resolved the issue by regenerating the generic services.

  • HCM F&P: Error in process object reading

    Hi Experts,
I am working on Employee Transfer scenario. So I copied the standard Process ORG_CHANGE and made the changes in Workflow, Form scenario and Form according to my reqirement . But when the Reciever manager opens the form it is throwing one error like" Error reading in process object" . But the form is not blank, it has the text elements, buttons etc.I am stuck here and dont know how to move further.
Process Object in Workflow container the following properties
    Type CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT, properties:IMPORT , initial value :CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT
    Name :POBJ
Does anybody know why this error is coming?
    Thanks & regards,

    Hi Lek/Chris,
    Hope you are doing great!!.
I am having a problem with ORG_CHANGE Process. I copied the one, and the issue I have is the new Position selected by Receiving manager is not being passed onto the next subsequent steps 3. Approve by superior MGR and 4. HR Admin scenario steps.  When the one-up manager opens the form the New Position is blank and for HR Admin it shows the drop down but it doesn't populate the new position selected by Receiving Manager.
I found some SAP notes where the values get lost if you have a mix of SAP_PA and Generic Services. We are going to implement them.
In the meantime,  Any help or hint will be appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance!!

  • The exposed service is in the right lane in BPEL converted from JPD

    Hi,
Now I'm working on a project that requires using Fusion to replace the old WLI.
My major job is to convert JPD code in WLI to BPEL in fusion. (The JPD code was developed based on Weblogic Integration 8.1 )
I use a plugin for WebLogic Workshop 8.1 to export JPDs file into BPELs directly.
After some minor changes, the BPEL exported from JPD can be run on the server.
But when I open the BPEL in the visual designer in JDeveloper 11g, I see something strange.
According to my understanding, all exposed services should be placed in the left lane, and all referenced services should be placed into the right lane.
In the exported BPEL composite, when I open the composite.xml file in the visual designer, I can see all the services are in the right places.
But when I click into the BPEL process, I see all service are placed into the right lane, including the exposed service.
    This really confuses me.
I tried to read the xml code of composite and BPEL to understand why in BPEL designer, even the exposed service is placed into the right lane. But I haven't got an answer.
I also tried to write a BPEL process by myself, but the exposed service icon cannot be moved to the right lane.
Does anyone has any ideas on this issue? Does oracle has some special way to deal with the code exported from JPD?
Actually, this issue doesn't cause any error in my application. I'm just curious why it happens.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I am also doing the same thing what you have done, please help me.
I have used BPEL export utility for exporting my JPDs to BPEL. but it was not a good help, ultimately i m creating a process manually.
the main problem what is the replacement of control(jcx files)
please guide me really it would be great help..
Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you.

  • Process object missing in workflow task

    Hi all,
I have this odd problem that occurs (seemingly) at random.
I have a workflow for Material Master creation, it has various forks in the flow, sometimes the process object i.e. the material master object is missing in the workflow task under the available objects tab. It only seems to happen in one of the branches of the fork, also it only seems to be one user who gets this problem, so it makes me think it's something he's doing.
How is it possible that an object which was previously available in the task is no longer available?
    any help greatly appreciated.
    Neil

    Hi,
thanks for the reply, by "missing" I mean it is no longer instantiated in the workflow task. I have determined this by looking in the workflow log and checking the task container.
The binding for the task is correct, I am using the same task in all branches of the fork and in the other branches the material object is instantiated.
I have learnt a bit more about the scenario in the last few minutes... it seems that when the task was created initially the object was instantiated, but the user has backed out of the transaction and not completed the work item leaving it in his inbox with a status of "executed" it is only then that the process object is missing. This doesn't seem to happen to any other user so it's something he is doing that is causing the problem.

  • ISR Process object - Workflow is not getting triggered -

    Hi
I am facing some strange problem, in my project we are using the new HCM concept using Process Object and not the Notification type,
I have take standard scenario SBC1 - child birth, done the config and checked the form and also process its not giving any error.
But when i tried test process execution "HRASR_TEST_PROCESS", getts error message " Work Item Not Found; Workflow Not Started" and "Process Object Not Created",
when i check the log in SLG1 tcode for Object: HRASR, Subobject: POBJ. "Case 46CC2D7604BB275EE1000000995893A9 does not exist. No administration authorization in Change and Transport System", this error message only consfuse me more.
Can you help me on this, if you required i will send the screen shot of the error message
    Regards
    Anand KS

In most cases, this means that the 'Start Process' is not configured correctly. Take a look at the following:
    1. make sure that the Wf assigned to your start process is active
    2. make sure that reference numbers are configured and assigned to your process
    3. assign a user to receive error messages when an error occurs
    Thanks,
    Derrick Banks

  • Modification of info object to correct the error in process chain.

    Hi Gurus,
I'm facing some problem as mentioned below.
I'm loading data by using 5 info packages. Out of these 5 only one info package data has loaded properly the remaining 4 info packages are showing red status in process chain. Even though monitor status is green. When i checked the process chain it is showing error that duplicate data records.
I did analysis and i came to know that due to info object data type the info object Material number and Material group are showing same values. Now I need to correct the data type for those info objects. I've loaded these directly to info cube and to ODS object.
Now can anybody tell me the solution how do we go about to change the data type from  Numc to Char. If we change how does it affect in cube as well as in ODS. How do we correct these type of errors when we are in Production system.
    Thanks in advance....
