Heading layout

I am VERY new to iWeb and this may be a daft question.
Is there any way to get a blank space at the top of a page where I can make my own heading above the navigation bar?
The only solution I have found so far is to take, for example, the "notebook" template with a blank page and then put a colour fill graphic over the strippy yellow header. It seems one can't delete these headers.
This seem a rather crude way of doing things and presumably involves extra code covering things up which also makes me wonder whether it will display properly in various browsers!!
If I take a really blank template I can't move the nav bar from the very top. I would like it below the heading.
Any thoughts out there - or am I just totally ignorant!!

Hi Sloanscot
You need to take a look at Inspector>Page Tab, then adjust the Header Height.
There are some further notes on Inspector here.

  • Please help to add new line at Header layout FBL3N

    Dear Expert,
I need a requirement to custom the program from tcode FBL3N. So i copied the program become my custom program.
At the custom program, I need to add a new line for display total balance GL account for the previous month at header layout, under text company code.
For the Information, FBL3N used ALV List to display layout.
Is it possible to add new line??
If it's possible, how is the way to add that new line to display the total GL account?
I really appreciate your suggestion and solution.
    Thank you,

Thanks for all your help. My problem was that I was using 2 lists to update the table. The problem solve!!!!
    int modelIndex = listWhenScrollStop.size () - 1 - aRow;
    if (modelIndex >= 0) {
    return listWhenScrollStop.get (listWhenScrollStop.size () - 1 - aRow);

  • Vendor ledger/ header layout

    HI EXPERTS !
The transaction code for the report we generate is FBL1N   -  vendor ledger.
we require the vendor's bank detail in this report at the header  i.e. vendor bank name , account no..(change layout of report for output )
this detail can be seen by transaction code FK03  -  view vendor data base.
    can anybody solve this .
    thanks

    Hi,
In FBL1N - you can bring the Vendor A/C number from the layout settings.
But showing the bank Details is not possible - the main program(RFITEMAP) is not designed to bring the Bank details for the Vendors.

  • Header Layout - am I going in the correct direction?

Ultimately I would like my site to look somewhat like this:
I am doing my best to learn code and Dreamweaver CS4. I am taking baby steps.
I would appreciate any input 'those in the know' might offer.
Focusing on the header portion of my site - Did I get it (the coding) right?
    http://www.canvasAK.me/
(Please ignore colors and such) - After this checks out, I'll move on to navigation.
Any suggested reading/guidance is much appreciated.
    Thanks,  Eric

Oh, I see. It kind of looked like code and I couldn't be bothered to read all those italics closely enough to see.
Okay, I skimmed it. (Really, the italics are annoying.) It seems reasonable.
I question the null tests toward the end, though. I don't do GUIs, so I don't know if an empty text field gives null or the empty string. Also, you don't want to test for null/empty. Rather, you want to test for NOT null/empty. That is, you do if (this field has a value) { calculate the other fields }.
Finally, for a simple program like this, it's fine to have all those explicit equations. However, another approach--one you'd probably want to take if there were many more values, for instance, calculating a value in the rest of the world's currencies given one of them as input--would be to first normalize to radius--e..g, if diameter is entered, radius is d/2--and then pass radius to a method that calculates the rest of the quantities from radius.

  • Current Header Rows Not Appearing on FBL1N - A/P Detailed Line Item Report

Our A/P staff somehow turned off the header rows at the top of the FBL1N report.    The rows contain the various variables related to the report such as vendor name, vendor address, city, state etc.
Does anyone know how I can change the report so that these variables once again appear on the report?
    Thanks,

    Michael,
Do you mean that you can not access via the following link?
    http://service.sap.com/notes
Well, if this is your case, I will copy note 181592  here since there is only text information and not code correction. I am sorry but the format is not good, but I think this note will help you to insert header again.
If this note does not help you, let me know and I will check the other notes that I have provided.
Please kindly check the note text below:

    Symptom
You want to display information in the headers or change information
preset in the headers for the following: line item display for vendors,
G/L accounts customers or customer information on an account.
    Additional key words
Program RFITEMAP, RFITEMGL, RFITEMAR, Transactions FBL1N, FBL3N, FBL5N,
    layout variants, layout headers
    Cause and prerequisites
You are not familiar with the option of individually setting header
information or how to use maintenance transactions.
    Solution
    1.  Overview
In the line item report you can display information in the header of
the list (given that this information is equal for all items
         displayed).
For example, a customer accounts clerk wants to display the
following data in the header: account number and name of the
customer, name and telephone number of the responsible accounting
clerk for the customer, current date.
You can use information taken from the account master data. General
variables like the time and date are also available.
The following describes how you can set up the layout of header
information yourself. A header layout is always assigned to the
particular display variant of the list which you set on the bottom
of the selection screen or which you can choose using CTRL+F9 on the
display ('Choose' button). You can therefore personalize the header
layout as well as the remaining display layout.
The header layout is output if the account number group is changed,
if the list has been sorted according to the 'Account' field, and if
a page break has been set for this field. You can maintain these
                                                                       Page 2
settings under the menu option Edit -> Subtotal (Ctrl+F1).
         2.  Setting up the headers
             Choose from the menu
Settings -> Display Variant -> Current header rows
You now see rows in which you can arrange variables. Using the
pushbuttons in the function bar, you can create or delete rows.
When you position the cursor at the start position and choose
function "Gen. variables" (Shift+F5) or "Characteristics..."
(Shift+F8) a new variable is positioned in the header area. From the
following dialog box, you can choose the variable (also called
             characteristic) from an inventory.
Under "Text type", you determine whether the label for the variable
(for example, the label 'Customer') or if the value itself should be
used (that is, the appropriate customer number for the items
displayed in each case). You can display pairs as follows:
             <Label>: <Value>
             for example,
             Customer: 47110815
If the value is a key for a short or long text (either a name or a
description), you can also select this under "Text type".
After selecting and positioning the characteristics, save and return
to the list. The headers are displayed immediately with correct
values so that you can check your results right away.
         3.  Save the list variant
Choose "Save" (Ctrl+F12) in the list. In the following dialog box,
you can enter a name and a label for the list variant that will be
stored together with your header layout.
Note that general variants visible to every user have a name
                                                                           Page 3
starting with the character '/'. User-specific variants on the other
hand must begin with a letter and are only visible to you.
Standard variants delivered by SAP in general start with a number
and have preconfigured headers. You cannot change the SAP variants,
but you can use them as template for your own enhancements, which
you can store under another variant name.

  • Header Variant on Line Item Reports

Can someone tell me how to transport header variants that I have created for FBL5N. I have gone into the report, then chosen Settings -> Layout -> Current Header Rows and defined the header layout. However, I cannot find a way of placing this definition on a transport so I can move it through the system landscape.
    Any help greatfully received, thanks.

IN FBL5N, when the list is on screen, go to Settings->Layout->Administration
then select the layout you want to transport, then menu Layout-> transport, select existing custo TO or create a new one.

  • BPS Layout - Combinations on transaction data issue

    <p>
I've got a planning level with some characteristics (10) and one key figure (0QUANTITY). All the characteristics are restricted for one value in the level, except one, which is restricted by an exit variable for one or more values (depending from other parameters). Letu2019s call this characteristic 0MATERIAL.
On this level Iu2019ve got two planning layouts: both have Material on the lead column and quantity on the data column (with all the other chars in the header): layout 1 displays all the possible combinations, while layout 2 displays only combinations from transaction data.
This way I let the user select the material with layout 1 (writing on the quantity column), and with layout 2 I show him his selection (only the materials with quantity other than 0).
    </p>
    <p>
Everything is working fine when Material is restricted for more than 1 value:  I can see the material number on layout 2 only if I set a quantity on layout 1.</p>
<p>When material is restricted for only one value in my level (with my exit variable), both layout 1 & 2 show one record (with the material number and a u20180u2019 quantity); in deed Iu2019m expecting layout 2 (which shows only combinations from transaction data) to be empty.</p>
    <p>
It seems like the system is adding a dummy record in my layout: it happens even if I delete all the data in my infocube.
Does anyone know how to fix this and display layout 2 with no records?</p>
Edited by: federico blarasin on Aug 10, 2010 5:06 PM

    Hello Marc,
I'm sorry but it's not that easy
There's no data in my cube (I deleted all the data requests in RSA1), there's no data in my planning buffer.
If I change the selection in my level, adding another material (with the characteristic restricted for two values), everything works fine:
    -layout 1 shows 2 rows (with quantity = 0);
-layout 2 shows 0 row (there's no data, layout is blank).
If in my level I restrict the material for only 1 value, it will result in both layouts showing 1 row, with 0 quantity.
I tried to reproduce the issue, building a dummy level with some chars and a key figure. Every char is restricted for only one value, except one char (on the lead column in the layout) which is restricted for two or more values: everything works fine.
But if I restrict the lead char for 1 only value, the layout supposed to show the transactional data shows me a dummy record (it's not blank).

  • Customize video track header

I'd like to create a single-line track header layout, which shows the track name and contains the double click area to expand/collapse the track height. I managed to do so via "Customize" for the audio tracks, but it does not work for video tracks. In the latter the double click area stays always in the second line: as soon as I move the track header name to the top line and shrink the track height to one line, I can't access the double click area anymore. Is there a (hidden) solution?

  • Blank Pages

We have a report with a master section, and two continuation sections. We are using the header layout for the master, and the main and trailer layout sections for the two lists of data that may have continuation pages. The number of records that can print in either repeating frame (there are 2) in the master before spilling over to a continuation page is not known before running the report, as they may contain elements with varying text lengths.
When there are not enough items to push to the continuation pages, this report should be one page with a page number showing "1 of 1". We used the format trigger of the main frame for each continuation section to hide or show the frame depending on whether there are any spillover items or not. We thought this would keep the page from printing, but it does not. We get a blank page instead and the page number displays "1 of 3". Does anyone know of a way to NOT print a section if it has no data?

Did anyone have a solution to this problem?
Does the BLANKPAGES=NO as an additional argument to the Reports runtime fix this issue?

  • Problem in page overflow with table contents having control level

    Hello members,
My scenario is to display table contents from (Master Page)MP1 and then overflow to MP2 and use the MP2 for the rest of the overflowed pages too. In the form context, the table has control level grouping on a field(F1), which is set in context, because of which we can sub total for the group of records based on field F1.
Take the scenario that the content area(CA1) of MP1 fits only 10 records and content area(CA2) of MP2 fits only 20 records.
    Test scenario 1:
If the table contents have records upto 20, then MP1 gets filled with first 10 records and then MP2 with rest of the 10 records. This scenario works fine.
    Test scenario 2:
If the table contents have records upto 5, then only MP1  with current 5 records gets filled. This scenario also works fine.
Test scenario 3:( ISSUE BEING FACED)
If the table contents have records upto 50,(which are more than the combined number of rows of MP1 and MP2) then no data is displayed on MP1 and data starts filling in next MP2 and only approx 22 records are visible where few even cross the content area of the MP2. And no over flow for the rest of the records happen.
We use SFP Transaction in SAP to modify the layouts of the forms. Please let us know if the table having group set by control level causes any issue in this scenarion Test scenario 3.
    Thanks

    Hi,
master pages don't support page breaks. Those pages are only used for the background things of body pages like page numbers, company logs or letter head layouts.
Don't use repeating objects on masterpages that may overflow its content area, this will always end up with unexpected results.
Put all those objects on a regular page (body page) which allows page breaks.

  • Master-Detail and Detail-SubDetail navigation.

    Hi!
I am facing an issue regarding navigation in a second (subDetail) level child table.
I have Master-Detail-subDetail like lilnks of three VOs.
    I have created 2 VLs for Master-Detail and Detail-SubDetail.
Now on my custom page, navigation is fine for Master-Details but for 2nd level navigation between Details-SubDetails is dependent on SingleSelection that i have used to display related reocrds in SubDetail table.
Is there any way to display subDetails automatically (without using single selection) just like in Master-Detaills. Or at least on page load it display related records in all the tablelayouts.
I'm using Header Layout for Master , Table layout for both Deatil and Sub Details VOs.
    Kindly help

    Hi All!
I think there is no solution to this problem, only single selection is the solution.

  • How to show the "SIA name" in the CMC screen(s) for administration ( BI 4.1 SP5)

When logging on to "BI4" (cmc) we have several options.
First option: the web page for the login.
Our system has 3 SIA's ( DEV , TEST , PROD ), three Tomcat "web app servers" with respective urls
DEV is a simple one: everything on one machine.
(exceptions: databases in Oracle, IFRS / OFRS are NAS mapped to D:/something on the BI4-DEV server)
    TEST is separated:
tomcat on an application server (url:bi4-web-test) ,
one "management server" BI4-MAN-TEST for SIA,
a "processing server" BI4-PRO-TEST for the processing services.
PROD is much like test, only more processing servers on extra machines
    BUT
logging on to CMC, at either one of these 3 URLs : http:/<siaservername>/BOE/CMC/ ,
I still have the option: "Server:" ( BI4-DEV , BI4MAN-TEST, BI4MAN-PROD : three different "manager" or SIA names)
So starting from BI4-DEV, I can log on to BI4-PROD
My problem: the URL shown in the browser navbar now does NOT tell me any more at which server I am working. The url only shows where I logged in.
Is it possible to SHOW the ACTUAL SERVER somewhere - say next to the logged-in user name ?
Instead having a page header showing:
    ... <preferences> ... Welcome, Administrator
    I imagine it showing:
    ... <preferences> ... Welcome, Administrator ON <SIA>
Is this at all possible ?
In Boxi 3.1 we could modify the "header layout" for InfoView. Users would see our company logo, their login name ... but we never did that for boxi 3.1 "CMC"
Now in BI4.1 , with the much more complicated setup, we want to do that.
I did not find it in the "Administrators' Guide" .... yet.
    Hans Rens,
    Brussels

    ( long reply)
Thank you for this First step.
Though reading through your reply, I understand that my question was not clear.
On the (Launchpad) LOGIN page, I see the company name. That page thus was “customized”
On the CMC login page, we didn’t customize it. We judged that “Administrators know what they are doing”
and that “ICT personnel can live with reading the SAP logo instead of company logo/name/colours”
    BUT
Once logged in to the CMC, every “internal page” (the menu, the Universes page, the Applications page, the Users and Groups – page … ) have a uniform header saying :
Welcome: HANREN | Preferences | | Log Off
(yes, HANREN is the name of the BI User logged on)
I would like to make it something like :
    Welcome: HANREN | BI4MAN-PROD | Preferences | | Log Off
Where the red name is “the name of the SIA, a.k.a. “manager server” for the (prod) cluster. (or test cluster – and when nothing is showing, we will know “this is DEV” because we “did not customize that one” )
    WHY ?
At login, everybody KNOWS where he is logging in to, because you need to supply the SERVER NAME
But further on, working in two (or more) browser windows / tabs, one needs a way to find “where I am”.
This goes fine, when logging in to DEV on the DEV URL, then opening a second window and logging in to the TEST URL and on the test sia.
But SWITCHING from one window to another tab … a small indicator would be very helpful.
    Lucky escape ?
We did have a problem recently, were two admins were loggin on / off to the different systems, looking for differences to correct something … but nobody wanted to “correct” a system that was working well.
It was quite frustrating to find out that it was “very easy” to think I was working on system1 (in the url) while actually connected to the system3(sia)
OK, we saw that in time, before the problem from system3 had been “implemented” on system1, instead of applying the solution (settings of working system1) to the faulty system3.
But the stress of the error found, the search for solutions “asap” … has to be counted in. If there is a simple way to “know” where one is working, instead of having to “guess” , human mistakes can be brought to a minimum.
This morning I tested again: it is perfectly possible, to open 3 browser windows on exactlu the same URL, then open 3 DIFFERENT CMS logins : one on prod, another on test, a third one with my colleagues login also on test … and the navigation bar will NOT show who is adding user groups in which system.
Thank you for the first step hint, though. I’ll add it to our documentation.
It is a little different in BI 4.x than in our boxi-3.x setup )

  • Dynamic Data columns

    Hi...
Here's my scenario. My layout is keyfigures in lead columns.
I want Calendar Year in the Header. I want the Calendar Year/Month (0CALMONTH) in data columns.
But, the data columns should be dynamically set to the 12 months of the Year I choose as part of the header combination. Example, I choose 2008 as header:
Layout should alow me to enter sales for all months of 2008. So, data columns should become:
              Jan 2008   Feb 2008   Mar2008   Apr2008  .....
    Sales
I'm open to ideas for other types of layouts also as long as the the months (0CALMONTH) are derived based on Calendar Year.
    Thanks...

    KJ, thanks for your response.
Dont mean to question your suggestion at all. But is that only way?
I mean to me deriving a calendar year month seems to be a normal practice.
But if thats the only way, could you please provide more insight and possibly an algorithm for the exit? never worked exits before in the cotext of BPS.
    Thanks...

  • Japanese character in WLS7.0

    Hello,everyone:
I got such a problem,It's about japanese character in WLS7.0.
Let me describe my envirment first,
    OS:windows 2000 pro (japanese)
    WLS:Weblogic Sever 7.0 (english)
When i write in a japanese character in a form contained by a jsp
    webpage,then submit
this form to WLS7.0,the Weblogic server should display the character
    originally,but the
    return value is confusion.
alternatively, when i submit this form to weblogic server 6.1,the
    original and return value
    is the same.
Does the Weblogic Server 7.0 english version not support Japanese
    character inputting?
    thank you for readding!
    liu gang

I am using Oracle OC4J Standalong Server v10.1.3.
Its kind of weird because after I have successfully logged in, the japanese characters are correctly displayed. It is only at the login page that the header text displays improperly. Below shows the details:
header-layout.jsp (this is the jsp that has a problem in the display)
    before login:
login.jsp ---> this imports the header-layout.jsp. other japanese texts within the login.jsp file are correctly displayed but the japanese text in the header-layout.jsp is not properly displayed.
    after login:
list.jsp --> this uses the same header-layout.jsp but specifies it using tiles-defs.xml
