    You are not addressing Apple here. We are all just users like yourself

    No app on the iOS device is required.                           
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order

    You most likely can not locate it because either the battery power ran out or whoever stole it turned it off.
    Do not post the serial number here in the forums. We are just other Mac users here in the community and not Apple employees.

    I am sorry to say that, but your security makes my life miserable – it’s been 2 months since my Apple ID account got stuck, and since then I cannot update 37 applications (to date), i.e. most of my applications. Half of them I bought. I also paid for iCloud, and it is not working. I paid money and I am stuck with old applications and no iCloud. Your security *****. Your service ***** too. It took your service 1 month to finally understand why this happened to me, and it took me tens of emails to you and 3 hours of telephone conversation to find out the reason for my problem. And the problem is still not fixed. NOT FIXED. You just leave your customer – the one who paid you money and spent so much time with you trying to help you help me – and nothing.     It is ******* outrageous, and you should know that,  guys. Get into the ******* database and correct the bug. Get someone in the partners-telephone carriers company (it is Orange as carreer and Cellcom as seller of the phone)  authorized to Identify me in personal encounter in one of the branches in Israel (where I live) and make sure it is really me, and get the ******* system accept my password and let me use my phone.
    Otherwise **** off. None of my friends will get my advise to buy an iphone or any of apple products. And I think you should be very attentive to cases like this, guys.     Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
    So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
    If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you

    You are still under warranty.  Call Apple tech support and let them deal w/it.
    You have 14 days to return the computer w/no questions asked.  Plus you have 90 days of FREE phone tech support on top of your standard 1 year warranty unless you also purchased AppleCare which gives you an additional 2 years of coverage plus FREE phone support.
    Strongly suggest that you take FULL advantage of the above before it runs out.  Let Apple deal w/the problems.

    lost mode don't depend of the sim card. If you take your Iphone on Lost mode... anybody can use it with the original card sim or with an other one.
    Did you try to localise it ?
    But hope that thief don't make a restore of the Iphone... Call your Mobile Operator to try to block the IMEI Number.

    This is probably not the right place to complain but I have tried contacting iTunes support and they said they will be in contact with myself in 24 hours and well its been well over that !!!!
    You guys really need a phone customer services for iTunes, I know quite a few people that this has happened too and waiting for days for a response is not good.

  • HT201210 I upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4S a few days ago. I choose the option to restore from my last 3G backup. It worked fine but I just realized that I do not have the new apps which come with the 4S. What should I do? Thanks for any help. Léo

    I upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4S a few days ago. When setting up the new 4S, I choose to restore my last 3G backup. It started by updating the OS to version 5.1 (9B179) then restored my apps and setting. Everything went well except that I realized I do not have the new apps which come with the 4S, like FaceTime, HD video and Siri.
    What should I do to correct this?

    Ah, FaceTime is not an app, either. It's accessed by tapping the FaceTime button when you are in the contacts app and have selected a contact. This can also be done from the Phone app under the Contacts tab, or during a call, you can switch to FaceTime.
    Let me know what other apps/features you are missing.

  • I purchased photoshop elements late last year. My PC crashed a few days ago and I want to download it again. Anyone know how I can do that?

    My PC crashed about 3 months ago and I managed to find an online chat support link. The staff there were very helpful and enabled me ro redownload against my original order. But I can't find the chat help again. Does anyone know where I can redownload against my original order, or have a link to online chat? I have the original order number and the product keys for premier elements and photoshop elements.

    Thanks for that, Ned! In the meantime I have found the original download on my computer (splitting the hard drive really does pay). Interestingly, the program I now have isn't as advanced as the one I originally had. Some functions just don't appear. Originally, I had 2 product keys, I guess one for elements and one for elements premier. I'm guessing I now only have elements. Does anyone know what the difference is between elements and elements premier? And since I clicked on set up I wonder why the program only set up a lesser version. And now I need to find a way of downloading premier separately, if that's even possible.
    Any help would be very much appreciated.

  • I am cursed with a master password I submitted a few days ago and it now seems impossible to get rid of it ... when I uncheck the box the approriate pop up comes up but the 'remove' is is not functioning ... help ... I hate this feature and want it gone !

    A few days ago I was stupid and tried the Master Password option. Now it will not allow me to remove it! I follow the process but when I submit the master password for removal the 'remove' button is dead. Only the 'cancel' option is active.

  • I have the "never remember my history" selected in options, yet when I close Firefox and reopen, it goes directly to my hotmail inbox. This just started a few days ago, and it's a security hassel. What can I do?

    The only way I can clear it is to actually go in and manually delete my history. Help, please! Before a few days ago, my email session would only stay active as long as I didn't close the browser. I believe this applies to all sites requiring a password.

    I wonder whether Firefox is not really shutting down completely. Would you mind checking the Task Manager?
    After closing Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc and view the Applications tab. Firefox should disappear.
    Then check the Processes tab. Click the button to show processes from all users, and click the Image Name column heading to alphabetize for easier visual scanning. firefox.exe should close within 15 seconds, after all file maintenance is completed. If it is not closing, then some other process may be keeping it running, preventing your session from ending.
    If the session is ending, and your "When Firefox starts" is not set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time", the two normal ways you could be logged back in automatically are cookies and saved passwords.
    In case an add-on is responsible, you could try starting in Firefox's Safe Mode with add-ons disabled and see whether Firefox still remembers your session.
    First, make a backup of your profile folder for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
    Next, see [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.

  • HElllp! I havent even had my Iphone 4 for a year yet. About a week ago my phone stopped charger! please HELP ME! i cant buy a new one yet, so im hoping you guys can help me

    This is my Story...
    About a week ago i was seddling into bed. I plugged my phone into my dock as usual, heard the vibrate telling that it was hooked up and charging properly. I went to bed, then woke up and went to grab my phone. I noticed it was only 94% the top right corner in the battery it didnt show the lightning bolt, which means its still charging. I never really thought anything of it at the time. by like 1:00 i looked at my phone, and it was already 50% I decided to plug my phone back into the charger. IT WOULDNT CONNECT!! i started to cry... what was i gunna do? that all my money spent on it! I tried my USB for my labtop, ive tried 2 different docks, and i also took it into Sasktel and they plugged it in to. After the day went by, my phone completly lost battery and... turned off!! thats when i started going into Sasktel etc. i was FREAKING out!!! (still am!)
         All my phone will still do is when i press the power button it a picture of the red dead battery shows up, as well as a electricty cord sign, with an arrow to a lightning bolt. i know that means that it needs to be charged. Im so confused it still frashes and shows stuff on my phone.. so it cant be dead .. right? When i went to Sasktel, i got the worker to look at it. He shone a light in the bottom charging spot. he told me after like 5 minutes of looking in there that he can just barely see a super light pink olour on the "white" sticker. He told me it changes to red when it hits water, and moisture. but.... i nver got it wet. i just woke up with it like this. so, i sunno how that changed colour. im gunna call apple again tommorow and see what they say. i really hop someone can help me, i dont wanna loose all my pictures and contacts. i have some valueably stuff. 1,500 picture!!! :O sooo please! any idea is help, and i hope at least someone will try
    So far, ive tried the trick where u hold the home and power button for 30 seconds. It showed the dead battery lightning bolt sign. And tried many different plugs. People say, that because its a little pink, its toast. i dont beleive that, cause, it worked alll day tell it finally died! no probablems at all. so i just need to get it backon again. ill tell you what apple says when i call. HELP
    all i wish for is for you guys to try, and say what you know! anything is better! i will try EVERYTHING!

    Problem started after I unintentionally downloaded some adware 4 days ago. After lots of aggressive ads slowed down my browser I downloaded and ran AdwareMedic which seemed to do the job and browser was back to normal.  Then, possibly a coincidence, everything on the computer started running slower.  I've backed up everything and have run a EtreCheck report.

    When you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.  
    These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
    The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
              SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
    from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
