Help my ipad screen! It's glitching really bad.

Himplz help. My ipad screen is glitching like going up and down, TYPING itself, and opening and going out of apps. I've tried cleaning it, and reseting it but nothing has worked. I know I should go to the apple store but before that I want to fix it myself, I haven't told my parents, and they just bought it recently as a birthday present, they won't be happy at all. This same device got cracked earlier but we got it fixed, and it was working fine, for a few weeks but now it happened all of a sudden. I've tried deleting some apps but it's still doing it. THE MOST ANNOYING THING OF ALL IS WHEN I TYPE, IT TYPES ONE LETTER MULTIPLE TIMES. Anyone that helps, it's greatly appreciated, a lot! All ideas welcome.  ASAP PLZ,. I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF ITS THE SOFTWARE OR APPLE SYSTEM ITSELF. Is anyone else having the same problem?

  • Help! iPad screen dead, bleeping every five seconds when charging

    Hope someone can help - but I fear not!
    My iPad3 was working fine until picked it up one morning and nothing - no screen, no reaction to a standard reset.
    BUT - when plugged in it makes a low beeping noise about every five seconds. iTunes recognises it when I plug it in to my computer, so it's THERE, but I can't see anything.
    I have backed it up and restored it (twice). I have tried attaching to the USB whilst the home button is depressed. This gave me the 'welcome to your new iPad' screen in iTunes - but still nothing on the iPad.
    Any ideas!?!

    Thanks mende1.
    >> Boot your Mac in safe mode (press Shift key during boot) and check if it happens
    I tried booting in safe mode and tried using MAC for 15-20 minutes.  It didn't happen in safe mode.
    Can you think of what can be the real issue and also what could be the solution?

  • Premier Elements 9 glitching really badly on my new computer. :(

    Hello All,
         I was wondering if anyone could help troubleshoot a problem I'm having with Premier Elements 9. The program itself worked fine on my old laptop, but I have a new desktop now that's much more powerful and will be able to handle rendering split screen, etc. Unfortunately I sat down to put a vid together today for the first time on my new comp, and Elements is glitching so badly that I can't even use it. The first problem I noticed was that in the New Project window (for naming projects, designation save paths, etc.) nothing happened when I clicked the buttons. Finally I hit "Enter" on the keyboard and that got rid of that box. I could then start a new project from the dropdown menu and could manipulate the resulting identical box no prob. However, when I actually got into Elements and tried to drag audio/video into the timeline, the graphics of the interface completely bugged out. Black lines show up anywhere my cursor runs across the time line, and the whole timeline part of the interface goes nuts when I try to put a file in there. Clicking on the scroll bar will bring it back to normal appearance, but any attempts to edit the file or add files results in the same glitching. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks; have a good one.

    P.S. Running Windows 7 64bit (same as my laptop was)

    Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Bill. My video card driver was up to date according to Device Manager, but I went to AMD's website (I have a Radeon HD 6850) and found that their most recent driver for my card was dated later than that listed in Device Manager. I downloaded that and it installed a program called Catalyst that manages the video card, including updating the drivers. To be succinct, there was no change in Premier and after some digging I've come to the conclusion that my computer is reading drivers from System 32 but the new drivers I've installed are in a different place (C:/AMD/...). Any ideas on my next move? Can I just install this package into System 32? Is there a way to tell my comp to look for the drivers in the other folder? Thanks for any help everyone; much appreciated.

  • Help! iPad screen problem!

    so i just found out that my iPad right side(portrait mode) has a bit fatter black part that u see on the screen, like the black space also known to define the size of the screen, is fatter than my left side black part! i mean the left black space u see on the sides of your screen, is normal! why is that so? is there any problem or is it like that only for the iPad 2?
    again - the black part is the space around the screen! the side's space that is not lit up! and makes the screen look odd!
    please understnd my question properly! Please!

  • I need help with a intro because I am really bad with After effects!

    So at my school right now we are on a Romeo and Juliet lesson and for a whole 8th grade class activity we are doing something called "Verona's got Talent" its basically like Americas got talent and I was wondering if someone could help me by making an intro to the video. I am hoping it would look like the America's got talent intro but if its not its fine. It should say the Judges names and the names are Romeo Stirn, Juliet Klum, Mercutio Mandel, Mel Benvoilio. The Exctuive Producer Heather Meskimen and the host Nick Shakespeare Cannon. It should be 45 to 1:30 intro and it should have the America's got talent intro music in the back. If you anyone can help me by making this for me it would help ENORMOUSLY. Thank you!!!!

    You can learn to do this yourself.

  • Iphone 1/3 of the screen has no or really bad responce

    Hey i got this problem where 1/3 of the screen will not work or respond to my finger. I tried everything. Restoring it, restarting it, taking it to apple store, i even took it to ATT store, and i called apple but none of them want to fix it. Apple said that my warranty just ended so i have to pay 199 to fix it. (i could buy a new iphone for that price.) The phone was never dropped and never had any problems but all a sudden 1/3 of screen stopped working. This problem is wide spread now but no one bring the problem here to APPLE DISCUSSION so that why i bring it here.
    Any ideas on why it stopped working?

    Hi,
    Try the general tips in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1650#faq5
    Make sure there is nothing between your iPhone screen and your finger, like a glove or screen protecter.
    You can also restore the iPhone to rule out software issues. This article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305744 will walk you through restoring the iPhone.
    If the issue persists after trying those tips, the iPhone needs hardware repair.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

  • Screen looks really bad

    Hi,
    no Idea what I did wrong but since june my screen ( samsung 913n) looks really bad a bootup. First it is fine but just when the desktop is loaded it looks like if it only has 3-4 collors left. I can 'fix' it by taking out the cable and plug it in the other port of the video card. If I create another account I have no issues. Can someone tell me where to fix this account related software issue ?
    Tried all updates & several cache cleaning programs.
    Getting tired of changing the port all the time.\
    Thanks in advance for any tips !
    Tomas

    Thanks Niel,
    This didn't help, everything is ok there.
    I've must installed something wrong that caused this problem
    I've removed many programs that I had installed around the problem date, I think I will just start using a new acount.

  • Ipad screen turned pink and blue

    Please can someone help my Ipad screen turned blue and pink, i have tried resetting it but nothing happened. It also did it last week but we fixed it some how

    Oh my gosh! I thought my iPad 2 was toast... Then I read your comment...I took it out of the case and whacked it twice on the back right at the Apple insignia and holy smokes it worked,  it's back to normal
    Thank you!!!

  • My ipad screen has gone black but I can still touch the screen and unlock it and do things. I don't know what's wrong can someone help

    My ipad screen has gone black and I don't know what to do the screen still works and I can still unlock it and I can still type. But I don't know what to do can anyone help me it will be much appreciated

    If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
    I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case.

  • Ipad screen broken. HELP!

    Hi, my ipad screen broke this morning. It's hasn't cracked, and has always been fine before, but this morning it just went off, then when I pressed the lock button the screen light up slightly, but not the way it should have, sort of a grey colour. After a few taps and tricks on the screen it light up, but it was really fuzzy, a mixture of white, pink and other colours. I can faintly see my background (the apple logo), but after a few seconds it just goes off again. I've looked through some forums but haven't found an answer. I want to try and keep away from the 'go and get it fixed at a shop' route. As all the do is over charge people. Any help is welcomed. Thank you!

    You're down to getting it fixed. It sounds like something is physically broken inside.
    If your device is still under warranty they MIGHT consider it a manufacturer's defect. If they do, then they'll replace it with a refurbished replacement. If they consider it accidental damage, they might offer you the option of an out of warranty replacement. Which starts at 249 and goes up (if your device is a 64 gig one, it will be more expensive than 249)
    You can try unauthorized repair places. If you use them, they might be cheaper, but it's use at your own risk and you will void your warranty (course, if it's expired, doesn't matter)

    You may have to do this several times.
    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.

  • Windows Help and Support screen glitch? And keyboard malfunction! Help!

    I have 3 problems. At the log in screen of my hp stream notebook 11, I wasn't able to complete my password due to a malfunction in one of the keyboard keys. I shut down the computer and came back later to try again. It worked but when I logged in, the Windows Help and Support screen kept repeatedly popping up even when x'd out. I would let it repeatedly pop up (like a glitch) and I would x it out and it would go away. Also as I was typing in anything (wordpad, internet, search), every other key letters and numbers were acting as shortcuts to different screens such as apps, the log in screen, control panel etc. then the Windows Help and Support screen would pop back up again as a glitch. Please help!

    Hi @aaliyah22
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
    You mention three different issues, and I am happy to assist with this. Obviously we need to start with the keyboard. As it is just the one key you describe as  a problem, I would try a cleaning. You could see if some compressed air helps first as some debris may have gotten into it. Also you can look at these two pages and see if anything helps.

    Cleaning your Notebook PC
    The other two problems sound a lot like something like a software or possibly a malware related issue, but you can start with trying a system restore to a point before the problem began and see if that helps.Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)
    Then take a look at these.
