Help please, Max Extents truble!!!

Hi!
We have a very lager table on Oracle 7 database. And we need to increase the value of the max extents parameter. Is it possible to do without recreating table?

increase the maxextents of table.
Or else use locally managed tablespaces(Oracle8i onwards) which creates the maxextents by default.

can you any please help me on this , what could be the best steps can be taken to fix the issue.
I increased the TBS size (I have more than 6 Gb free space), verified the max extents and min extents but didn't get clear idea.

Firewire Port not working, URGENT help please¡¡¡

Hello People, i´ve just got a new Mac Mini last week, and i´ve been trying to get my Alesis MasterControl audio interface, and is just a complete mess.
This happened right after i´ve upgraded to 10.8.3 so i don´t know, the weird thing is that if i connect my old iBook to the Mac Mini the FW800 port works, but everytime i connect the audio interface, nothing happens, also the drivers from alesis, are up to date. i first thought about the port of the Mixer went bad, but it has 2 and non of them works, also thought about the cable but the same cable works when i connect my iBook, and the mixer is not bus powered, it has it´s own power supply.
Needless to say i´ve already done the usual reset PRAM, turn of the Mac unplugged for 30 hour to reset the bus. etc.

BB gone very slow ...help please

I live in a rural area, am about 3 miles from the exchange, so I'm used to not having a fast service, however my speed often runs around 1.22Mb/s download and 0.38Mb/s upload. But yesterday it dropped to very slow. I just decided to leave it for 24 hours to see if it sorted itself out. Well it didn't and I'm here now looking for some help please!

Noticed it was back to normal speed again just now, so I did another speed test.

Obviously I'm pleased that it's back to normal but confused as to what caused the problem - 24 hours of extremely slow connection and then it's normal again. ANy ideas?

PCI 6036E/SC 2075, can read only from ch 2, need to use both. help please

I have interfaced DAQ PCI 6036-E with SC2075. I wrote a code to get data from analog input chl 1 and ch 2. I am getting data only from ch1. cables and hardware connected to sc2075 had been tested and are working properly. help please .Also, is it possible to test those channels from measurement and automation explorer and how ?.thanks

Yes, it is possible to test these analog input channels in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). To do so, expand Devices and Interfaces, right-click on the PCI-6036E, and select Test Panels. On the Analog Input tab, you can set the Channel control to any of the device's channels. If both CH1 and CH2 function correctly in MAX, you will need to troubleshoot your code.

ORA-01631: max # extents (121) reached!!!

Please review the following DML and error in response of that command:
insert into dtcn (area_code, cons_code, dcdat) values(12,12,sysdate);
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01631: max # extents (121) reached in table MNBSYS.DTCN
There are only two such tables DTCN and DTCN_HISTORY in which we are unable to insert any record because of above error. Following are some reference information of these tables:
PCT_FREE: 10, PCT_USED: 40 INITIAL_EXTENT: 5242880,
NEXT_EXTENT: 10240, MIN_EXTENTS: 1, MAX_EXTENTS: 121,
PCT_INCREASE: 0, FREELIST: 1, TABLESPACE_NAME: MNB_DATA,
DBUSERNAME: MNBSYS
It may also be noted that the above statistics are exactly same for number of tables but we are facing the problem with only these two tables. Kindly advise what could be the problem and how can I overcome this...

Hi,
This error comes when table reach to his max extents,here table extend upto 121 extents that is his max value so now you have to increase the value of maxextents.
by
SQL> alter table <table_name> storage(maxextents unlimited);
**also set the value of nextextent parameter because currently its define by very low value of 10240

Help please!!! with AMD 3200+

Just Purchased a brand new xp 3200+ to run on my K7N2 Delta ILSR, I had been running a 2500+, Anyway at this point the system is totally unstable at default (200) mhz fsb, It will not even last one cycle with sisoft sandra's burn in wizard and reboots just logging into the system.
However when I set it up to run bios setup defaults it's solid as a rock. But it's recognizing the processor as an xp 2500+ and running at 1.8 ghz, with the 333 mhz fsb. I originally thought this might be a ram problem, so I took out each stick and tried to run it at 3200+ one at a time, same problems all over again. tried turning off agp fast write, loosening the memory timings, every thing i can think of.
Do i need to re-install windows??? any help at all would be greatly appreciated I would hate to think i just paid all this money and have to run at 1.8 ghz

As I said in the post, I tried Loosening the memory timings, to no avail, Heat is not a problem here, temps are staying in the 40's at default settings, I have a huge leaf blower fan on the processor (tornado) along with the slk 900a bios is 7.8, I am not concerned with Sisoft sandra scores at all, the only reason I ran it is to try to determine the problem by putting first the processor and then the memory, then the video under load, when I say it's unstable I mean it's rebooting when I'm trying to type this message, I tried to include as much info as possible in this post, about the system, including the part about the ram, timings i've loosened them to 11,4,4, and the cas latency to 3,
kudos to the guy who said to bump the voltage, i'm at 1.7 cpu core and it's only restarted once in the last hour so it seems to have stabalized a bit I just think it's ironic, that I went from the 2500+ to this cpu so I wouldn't have to OC to get it above 2g and now tha't what i'm having to do,,,,it has however upped the temps about 5 degrees to 48 idle, and 53 load, how high can i take the core voltage without damaging the cpu???

HELP Setting Max Characters? Designer 7.0

I don't know if this is possible but for text boxes, instead of checking/setting the "Limit Length" "Max Chars: xxx", I want to limit the text to the size of the text box, not by the number of charcters. Help please...

It is right underneeth "Limit Length" "Max Chars: xxx" check box in Object pallet>>>>Field tab.

Hi Vijay,
You can use BRCONNECT to adapt the next extents size. The aim is to avoid the structure of tablespaces deteriorating that is, breaking up into a large number of small extents because this reduces database performance.
Recommendation
We strongly recommend you to use this BRCONNECT function rather than the equivalent SAPDBA one, sapdba -next <tablespace(s)>. The reason is that we will in future no longer develop the SAPDBA functions, whereas BRCONNECT functions will always be fully up-to-date.

Help please - I can't update to a more up to date iOS software?

I'm trying to update the iOS version onto my ipad1 - I've tried to follow apples instructions for this but fail at the stage of being able to select 'software update' under 'settings' then 'general' it's not there in the menu - can someone help please? Contrary to apples statement of alerts being sent when new software is available, I've never received anything since getting my iPad about 2.5 years ago, so I'm still on 4.2 software.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

IMac g5 stalls on grey apple logo spinning gear screen, help please.

I hope someone can help, please.
I have an iMac G5 (without isight) and it doesn't want to startup. It stalls on the grey apple/spinning gear screen, with the spinning gear perpetually rotating. I've kept it on for at least twenty minutes and still nothing. Because, I've seen this screen stall when updating OSX before.
I've flashed the pram and the power management. I've also gone into single-user mode and done everything the apple support page has said: to no avail. I've tried to start in safe mode but I cannot.
I'm running max os x 10.4.10.
One other thing worth noting, the light on the bottom right of the iMac case goes on when powering up but fades out and goes dark by the time I reach the grey apple screen?!?!?! I think I remeber this light always staying on when the computer was on.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

It could be that your power supply is failing, see if you qualify for Apple's power supply or video and power issues.
