Help! Problem with Ink Cartridge Compatibility Photosmart C4383 in my present location

Need your help! I bought my printer in the Middle East almost 2years already Photosmart C4383 with the Ink Cartridges 140(black) & 141(tricolor). Since, I already resides in my country now, the Philippines and I still use the printer. Just this week, I already run out of Ink Supply and decided to buy one. Since, I bought the printer in another country, I decided to check in the site for compatibility for Ink Cartridges. The results stated that the Photosmart C4383 belongs to Photosmart C4380 series and it also states there that HP74 (black) & HP75 (tricolor) are the compatible cartridges for the printer in my region. Since, I still have the tricolor 141 ink cartridge available, I decided to buy only the HP74 (Black) ink cartridge. But when I place the HP74 (Black) Ink Cartridge to my printer, I was surprised to see in the display screen that the Ink Cartridge I bought is not compatible with the printer. I was so disappointed because if I cannot use the product then I just waste of money and and check again and again in the sites for ink compatibility in my region but still stated the same that HP74 (black) is the compatible ink cartridge and also saw a result that states to "reset the printer to work in my current location". Needs your help to enlighten me and give me the right solutions for these problems and the steps how to do it the right way. I need to use my printer so badly. Thanks.

You will need to Contact HP and request a regionalization reset. This will require you have access to your computer and the printer while on the phone with the HP agent. If the C4383 is a model only sold in certain regions it may not be possible to have the region reset.

Problem with ink cartridges

We have a fairly new (6 mo.) HP 6100 printer that quit working, indicating a problem with the cartridges. I purchased all new ink cartridges, matching the number posted inside the printer door (933 for CMY and 932 for K). The printer still doesn't work, giving the message "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, incorrectly installed or incompatible." I have removed, cleaned, re-installed. Still nothing.

I understand you have an Officejet 6100 that is telling you the printhead appears to be missing or damaged. I'm sorry to hear this, but I will do my best to assist you.
As this printer does not have a removable printhead, I'm not entirely sure what you removed and cleaned, but I would suggest that you call HP Tech Support and inquire about getting the printer serviced, as stated in this A 'Missing or Failed Printhead' Error Message Displays on the Printer or on the Computer document.

Problem with ink cartridges in my HP Photosmart C4680 Printer

I recently installed new ink cartridges in my printer. Admittedly I had trouble getting them in place--even following the instruction from the internet. Now when I print something in color, I get messages saying the ink levels are not correct as shown and it often flashes on the screen the "Shop on Line" page. What have I done wrong ?

Problem with ink cartridge

OfficeJet 6500 E709n
Black XL cartridge, newly installed, expiration date 2012
It won't print. The printer works; just nothing that's supposed to be in black shows up.
I've run a printer head cleaning and cartridge alignment. With the former, it printed all other colors; with the latter, only the blue.

Not knowing your printer model makes it a little difficult to answer your question with a cut and dry yes or no, but I can help you figure it out!

I guess that was easier than I expected. No, the 61 cartridges do not work with any Photosmart printers.

I have an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 All-in-one K110 and it came with HP cartridges (yes, I verified them) and at first my printer works perfectly fine, I can print documents, pictures and the like but recently I have been getting this error message telling me my cartidges arent compatible.

and I tried restarting and such but it still doesnt work.

If you've followed all the troubleshooting then I'd suggest contacting HP Phone Support as you may require a replacement.

New ink cartridges in Photosmart C5180 but still not printing clearly. How do I clean the heads?

I changed all 5 ink cartridges on my HP C5180 Photosmart All-in-One printer, but the print is still as if I'm out of black ink. How do I clean the heads and realign them?

I would absolutely suggest not shaking the printhead. Ink is required in the printhead, and if air gets into the printhead it can cause printhead failure. See this page for an ongoing discussion.
For the C5180 this is moot, since the printhead cannot be removed to shake it in the C5180 with its permanant printhead. I would suggest three levels of printhead cleaning as described in Step 3 of this page for the c5180.

Black ink cartridge on photosmart printer 7250 not working

the black ink cartridge on my photosmart 7250 printer is not working. I've tried everything. I've aligned the cartridges and tried reprinting several times to see if the ink cartridge will start printing. Everything has failed. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You're welcome, and thank you for the updated information
I will recommend that you follow the steps within this Fixing Print Quality Problems document first. If that however does not resolve the issue and the black continues to not print, please try manually cleaning the printhead follow the steps in this 'Missing or Failed Printhead' document for your printer.
If after both of those documents the black still isn't printing properly what I suggest next will depend on if your printer is in warranty or not. If the printer is still under warranty (use this warranty checker to find out) then please call our technical support team for further assistance. If the printer is no longer under warranty, you can try the printhead soaking steps from @Bob_Headrick.

Hi there, its just now in the middle of the night i bben working for several month doing all print out now. the printer blik orange and i open to replace both 338 and 343 ink but it won't go to the right position to change the ink.But on my computer everything seem ok, like its printing. but its still bliking. I have changed them by letten my hand stop it gently in position but nothing happens. I am so f.. confused and need to do it Thanks

I understand that your HP Deskjet 1000 will not print using the black ink cartridge, but will with only the color cartridge.

I don't seem to get a warning msg on my computer any more when an ink cartridge needs replacing ....how do I know which ones need to be replaced or how much ink they have left???

HELP/Problems with pull-down navigator bar

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I could get some input. I have just
re-designed our magazine's site, www.easternsurf.com
I used Pop-Up menu function in Fireworks 8 to generate our
Navigator bar. For the most part everything has been working well,
BUT we've had a couple of complaints that the navigator bar's
pull-down menus get stuck behind the photos/banner ads/etc. instead
of in front of them when viewing in Internet Explorer. I'm on the
Mac platform (OSX Tiger/Macromedia Studio 8) and have seen no
problems viewing in Safari, Firefox and Netscape. The only
complaints have come from Internet Explorer users. A couple of
people updated their browser to the newest version and the problem
disappeared, however we've still had a couple of people that have
written in that the newest version of IE is still not displaying
properly.
Also we've got a strip of button ads running down the left
hand side of each page and I've also seen another issue that's
common on sites of this type...when the pulldown menu overlaps with
a Flash element, there is a problem with the screen re-draw. I've
seen this on several other sites and know it's a common problem,
but does anyone know of a workaround where this won't happen? I
just noticed that signing on to Adobe's site, there almost seems to
be a command where the menu keeps re-drawing at a very rapid rate
so this won't happen.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, although I'm Mac all
the way, we are a business and have to get this site visible for
everyone!

Please Perform a Battery Pull Restart like this While Device is Powered On remove the Battery wait for a min. then re-insert it back wait till the device take a long Reboot.And see if that helps.
