Help tracking ghost email

It happen at least four time since Mountain Lion.
     mail is open, but I am not in it.
     then I hear the noise of Mail beeing sent
     but at a very high pace, 3, 4 mail per second, and it does not stop
     I usually cut network access after a few second,
     I look into Sent Message, but there is nothing new
     nothing in console either
It feel like some program is sending email without asking me.
How could I look more closelly into this.
I would like to block outgoing email unless I authorise it (should I buy littlesnith or something like that ?
     them I would like to look at the paquet beeing send.
Any idea on how to do this or any other suggesstion you might have will be very appreciated.

I don't have a direct answer, however since I experienced a similar thing, I have some possible explanations:
Here is what I have: almost eveytime I insert a headphone to the computer or remove the headphone, I get a similar response from my Mac (i.e., very rapid mail receive and sent noises). I really doubt that this is a ghost mail or anything wrong with the system. I also tried to check the sent folder (nothing there), made sure that I am not sending weird messages randomly. I highly think that this is a bug about sound driver (?) since this happened almost always related to headphone switches in my case: is it the same for you?
Here is what I think might be the case: the moment I insert/remove headphones, for some reason my Mac replays the sound for all mails sent/received from the last time I did this. For once I also thought this might be related to Notes.app syncing, however ruled that out later on.

i am developing an application through which i sendm mails.I have to track the emails sent out.
ie. 1. i need the count of mails sent(which is easy)
2. Count of undelivered mails?
3. Whether the email is opened or not?'
To track whether the emails is read or not....i have read at many sites regarding placing a 1 pixel image in the body of the mail.But i din get any solution ...Please help me if anybody has a solution.

Normally that it what we expect from the system point of view
i don't think there should be a program or other functionality to check whether you have entered a correct mail id or not.

Help tracking the condition of a form

Thank you for viewing my post.
I am a relavtive beginner with Livecycle but have got a reasonable grasp on scripting with javascript etc.
Here's my problem.
I have created an internal order acknowledgement form.
This form is filled in by our internal sales dept, and in the form they indicate the reviews required to process the order e.g. engineering review, operations review, sales review or a combination of them.
They do this via checkboes.
Currently when they submit the form, I have background script that saves the form based on specific information in the form i.e. order number + initals of user + customer name + todays date.pdf on our server (using the trusted application method). After this operation a Mailto command is specified to mail the form to the departments that are ticked.
Each department that is selected for review then has its own comments area and submit button on the form. Once the department has reviewed the order and done whatever work is required for it they simply submit the form which in turn gets saved as order number + initals of user + customer name + todays date + departmentname review completed.pdf, and emails the form back to the order processor.
OK this all works great!!
But it now means I have up to 4 forms being saved for each order, which is OK but now I have been asked to make it more tracable for metrics.
i.e. if a department looks at the folder where the forms are stored can they view quickly the forms requiring their attention.
So I have a few options but not sure how to achieve any of them.
1. - When each file is saved it then deletes the last? - risky because if it is open at hte time on anybodys computer this process wont happen, and I am not sure if it is possible to delete files with javascript through adobe reader?
2. - export certain fields on each submit (just the order number, customer name and current status of submit buttons) to a single external file which I can then interrogate with excel or something similar). This sounds good but I have no idea how.
3. use a mysql database to collect the data from these fields but again not sure what is involved with this / or if its possible.

Understand your issue and typically this is handled by a Process
Management or workflow product. LiveCycle has an option for this but it
might be overkill for what you are trying to do. Anyways regarding your
points:
1. You cannot delete anything from th efile system form inside of Acrobat
(because of security)
2. You cannot export specific fields, you can export all of the data then
manipulate it using some 3rd party program. Think in terms of submitting
it to a srver then having a server program extract the bits you needd and
do the update.
3. You can have the forms communicate with a DB but that requires the need
for another LiveCycle module called Reader Extensions to allow Reader
users to access the DB, If you are using Acrobat then that is not a
requirement. I am giving a presentation on this topic next Tues (23rd of

From your main message list scroll to the top and highlight todays date, once this is done hit the menu key and choose "Mark Prior Open"

Ghost emails outlook 2010

Hello,
I want to create an email that will be sent out by my boss in my outlook i want to fill out the recipients, message body.
I then want to send the email to my boss for review if he agrees to the changes, wording, he wants to press send and the email be sent by him to all the recipients .
can this be done, if so how?

Ghost email can be created in MS-Outlook but you have to get the authentication of
exchange server mail account for this.

After getting the authentication, the other important part which is
editing in the Boss’s email. To edit the email or for forwarding it on behalf on someone, you have to create a new email.
In new email, type the name of the person in the Form filed on whose
behalf you are sending email and send the email.

I've created 3 alternate e-mail addresses and tried creating new accounts.

How to track the emails not delivered in SAP

Hi Guys
i am using SOST to track the emails which are not delivered
but
SOST is not tracking all the un-delivered emails
It is tracking only those mails as error whose mail IDS are not registered in SCOT
when i regester some un-existing mail ID in scot and send a mail to that via sap
SOST is showing its status as sent/transmitted/delivered
My requirement is to track akk the undelivered mails that are sent via SAP
Please advice

Ghost emails in Mail

Using Mail 3.6 in Leopard 10.5.8
I know this is not a big deal, but it's annoying me and I'm sure there must be a simple fix.
There are two ghost emails, one in the Inbox and one in Sent - both have names, dates and subjects but no content. No matter how many times you delete them, drag to trash etc etc, they just won't go away! Why?! How to get rid of them??

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.

hope this is in the write forum .
last year i applied to be on bt basic , the cheap one for if your on income support etc , it was excepted as far as i know but i have realized i was never put on it or if i was it wasn't for very long .
the only thing i can think is i was not aloud to have o2 broad band on the basic tariff , anyone know if thats the case ?
in the info about "basic " which is about £5 a month it says you can have broad band but this may mean only bt broadband ,
any ideas ?

Ghost emails in iPhone Exchange client

For some reason occasionally when I delete an email while working on the iPhone they get deleted from the Exchange server but not from the phone itself. Subsequently when I try to delete them from the phone I get a message stating that they can not be moved which leaves me with "ghost" emails on the phone that do not appear in Outlook. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of these pesky buggers? They are starting to pile up...

Thanks - yea my phone is on the latest release of the OS but I have no idea what the version or patch level of the Exchange servers are since they are managed by the IT group. They keep everything pretty up to date though so I'd assume that they are on the latest release.
It appears as if the only solution here is to completely delete the email account and then create it anew and let it download from the server thereby deleting these ghost emails. Seems like there ought to be a better solution though... Apple???

CRM Email Tracking - read emails

Can someone tell me how / whether you can track which emails have been read when you send an email campaign?
I understand how the /## can be used to track click throughs on links placed in the email but how can you track whether someone reads something and doesn't click through.

I have the same problem that I have to track the open rate of a mail and not the open rate of a link.
It's known as described in the wikipedia article to achieve this with a transparent picture which you have to implement in the mailform.
I'm able to track the open rate for static mails but not for generated mail campaigns. The dynamically creation of the mig and urlguid doesn't work for pictures.
Instead of adding a link for tracking I'm adding a picture for tracking
But the MIG and URLGUID isn't created for them if I start the campaign.
Therefore I added the MIG and URLGUID manually.
The result is that now I can see in the marketing contact summary who downloaded the picture and reverse that means that he has opened the mail.
The problem is: How can I create the tracking Id's dynamically for campaigns?

Ghost email in CDT client

hi,
we have a problem with SAP BCM because in CDT one of our emails hanged up and it is shown that it's waiting 2000 hours for reaction. off course i searched in CTM many times and i cannot find this task (to be handled again)
do you know maybe what can i change in SQL database to remove this ghost email from our CDT? or maybe where else i can find something to do that?

Other possibility that worked for me most times, switch from personal to shared in the CTM, usually the mail is shown there and can be answered or deleted.
Otherwise I also don´t see any other chance except for the database.

Need Help; Must accept email and create item in custom list

We have a Sharepoint 2010 site that has been using Microsoft's ticketing system for years. What I need to confirm is if there is a way to email the sharepoint list and have it create a ticket (parsing the from address, subject and body then creating a ticket
from that and sending a confirmation email reply to the user).
I understand there may be some coding needed, but don't know where to start without having to start over and lose our years of lists / data. Can someone please help provide information or at the very least a starting point for me?

out to this code from an ItemAdded Event Receiver on the library to parse the email metadata.
It's also possible to email enable Libraries and receive items emailed straight to the library. There's a special event receiver available for that which helps you parse email metadata. (But I couldn't receive email directly from my project so I didn't use

Understood, the difference with iTunes being that Apple doesn't (currently) require you to enter any account info on the device until you try to purchase something from their store. Initial setup is just a connection to the iTunes software and you're good to go.
While I understand that RIM wishes the account to be defined, they also need to be aware that doing so during the initial setup without proving an option to do it later, while failing to provide any means to change it afterwards (short of a device wipe) doesn't always suit the the situation. Hopefully they'll be reviewing the forums to gather feedback that they can incorporate into future software updates.
