Help us improve Adobe products

Every time I drag an image into Photoshop CS 5 I get the splash screen shown below. I doesn't mater if I choose Yes, or No. I still get this screen. What can I do to prevent this annoying occurence?
Thanks,
Don

Don,
The reason that you could not Edit your Reply, was because Conroy (in this case), had Replied to it. Once Replied to, only a MOD can Edit your Post. At that point, you did the correct thing, and your screen-cap is good in that Reply. I have not encountered this screen, but do worry that when you decline, it comes back. Have you cleaned out Adobe cookies recently?
For pop-up surveys in the Adobe Forum (they do that, and often from a 3rd party survey company), if one declines, they do not get the survey offer - until they clean out their Adobe cookies. Not sure if this one functions the same way, but feel that someone will.
Good luck,
Hunt

  • "Help improve Adobe products" window crashes Photoshop CS6

Most od the times when I try to open a Photoshop CS6 file (MacBook Pro Retina, Mac OS 10.8.3) and the "Help improve Adobe products" window shows up, no matter if I press the "Do not participate" or "participate" button, the program opens but all tghe menu items appear in gray or the program crashes

  • I'm stuck on the "help us improve adobe's products" screen when I try to start Photoshop CC

I keep trying to start Photoshop CC but it won't let me get past the dialogue box that asks me to help improve adobe products. How to I get ride of it?

Sounds like two totally different problems to me.
It may help to reset Photoshop's preferences to defaults...  You can do this by pressing and holding Control - Shift - Alt (Command - Shift - Opt on a Mac) immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.

  • Can not view help in any adobe product

In Photoshop, Bridge & Device Central, Adobe Help Viewer 1.1 opens with message "This topic is in the Help system of another product. To view the topic, install that product. about:blank"
In Adobe Reader, Adobe Help Viewer has message "File not found. about:blank"
In all cases the product name then chosen from the "help for:" pull-down menu only displays momentarily before leaving the "help for:" field empty again.
I run win XP with SP2 & Photoshop CS3 Extended (English version).
All latest Adobe updates are installed. I updated Adobe Help Viewer to version 1.1.198 for Danish windows (as per knowledgebase} to no effect & reset preferences with control+alt+shift+ click help which didn't appear to do anything.
Opening help via C\prog files\adobe\adobe help viewer 1.1\ahv.exe results in the same message etc.
All the photoshop help files are in C\prog files\common files\adobe\help\ en.us\photoshop\10.0 & help works ok clicking on help.html
After four PS reinstalls & a week of patiently reading posts, I've found similar CS2 problems but CS3 help file layout is different & I'm not good enough to translate.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Adobe Help Manager "No adobe products are currently installed"

    Nevertheless I have installed:
. Windows 8 Professional 64 bits English UK
. Adobe Production Premium CS6 English
. Adobe Acrobat Standard X English
    . Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 French
    . Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4
And when I launch Adobe Help, Adobe Help Manager tells me "No adobe products are currently available".
Does anyone can help me, please?

I have also major trouble with this new help system.  I'm trying to deploy it in a big locked-down enterprise environment.  So what I want to do is to make help only available offline (when users press F1 they don't get bothered with internet connection and other pop-ups, but instead a simple offline help file opens, like in the old days).  So I updated to the most recent help files and selected "Display Local Help content only" in the Adobe Help Manager.  Also I selected "Manually update my locally stored Help content."  (I did all this with a local admin account)
Then when I log on with a regular end user account, and I open for example InDesign CS6 and then press F1, I get an error from Acrobat Pro upon opening the help file "Access denied".  So I searched for that help file and it turns out that those help files are stored in c:\documents and settings\all users\documents\adobe\  I don't know what the policy is in other big companies, but in the case of my client (Electrabel GDF SUEZ) that directory is locked down.  So my first question is: how do I change the location of the offline help files?
Ironhide001: maybe your problem is also access-related?
Second question is: how do I turn of pop-ups from Help Manager saying new help content is available for download, as our end users can't download/install it anyway??
Thanks a lot for your swift feedback Adobe, I have to urgently finish my documentation to describe the setup process because of deadlines.

  • Help me with adobe product choice

I'm new to doing websites, and have been using Adobes print products since they were owned by other companies. I've got, well, everything, and don't know what's the best for what I'm doing. What I do is design websites, then pass the designs to developers. They make them do stuff in asp.net (i think).
I'm looking at Dreamweaver anf Fireworks, and think fireworks might fit the bill for 'prototyping'. Is there anyone who can give pros and cons of each, and any other suggestions as well? Thanks in advance!
    -Ted
ps, I'm most proficient InDesign, and would love to know iif theres an easy way to get stuff from there into... but thats secondary.

"The biggest hurdle a print designer has in moving to the web is to understand that you have to create a design without knowing what size paper it will be on."
    too funny
Fortunately I don't have to make them work (much). So for the moment all I need is a prototyping tool, and the more I look into Fireworks, the more I think it fits the bill. For me, designing in Photoshop is like drawing while wearing boxing gloves.
This is what I've found out about FW that I like:
Masterpages (a must in my mind for creating a multipage document)
    Stylesheets (another must)
I love the use of Flash like symbols as well.
Dreamweaver I've gotten my feet wet in, but that seems to be alot more than I need at the moment. Someone explained what a div was though, and that was a light-bulb moment. I've messed a little with using the percentage sizes to make a flexable layout, but that's still down the road for me a bit.
Thanks Don, and any  other thoughts suggestions are welcome.

  • Need help deciding which adobe product to purchase (Photoshop or Illustrator)

    hello,
I am about to be given the task of creating the graphics for my company on a specific task.
We recently got a new printer to create cards with and before now, everyone has been running into trouble getting clean, accurately colored prints for these cards, and I am being given the task of creating them and need to decide what program I will need to achieve this.
What happens, is a company orders a set of cards and sends their graphic, which I will be receiving at a different size than will be needed for printing, so I need to enlarge it, which distorts the colors.
Also, on almost all of the images, I will be needing to add some words to the graphic before printing it, like the company name or address etc. but then occasionally, I am given some general images and generic instructions which I need to follow in order to create the graphic.
So, I was thinking that photoshop would help me to refill the colors after resizing an image, or when I need to create the graphic mostly myself, yet I will be having difficulty creating the words required.
But then illustrator would be giving me excelent fonts and words since its a vector program, yet I believe I will run into problems colorizing my graphics once resized.
So, what does everyone think would be the better option here?
Or what would be a good work around for either photoshop or illustrator that would help me resolve the problems arrising because I do not have the other?
Or what are some other potential problems I might possibly run into?

    Well exactally,
Being the economic misfortune that hit the country, my company doesn't have the funds to pay for a professional and they are trying to find a way to keep the project inside the building.
me being 20 years old and wishing to pursue a career in graphic design sees this as a great opportunity to learn alot about printmaking as well as how to use graphic editing programs on a level higher than taught in school.
My boss is wanting me, and going to pay for me, to go under several hours of training to accomplish what needs to be done, but like I said, I am given the task of trying to figure out what kind of software I am going to need for the task, which is why I am here asking about the programs.
Also, it is kind of my first attempt at trying to further understand exactally what each of the programs do, and so far, I have learned quite alot by searching around and asking what other people think.
So, If you don't find it to be too hard to put your opinions or thoughts about how I could best accomplish creating the cleanest cards I would greatly appreciate it.
    Sincerely,
    BeeHiver

The activation server is gone for AA7, but not AA8 as understand it. You will need to do the updates for AA8 to be effective on Win7. It is questionable that it will run on WIn8 (I have no clue for a MAC).
Your conversation is an example of how many of us got here in the first place. It is fantastic that you were able to hold on and get the problem resolved. Not exactly sure of the solution, but there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel for folks. Normally, with activation problems like yours, we recommend calling Adobe Support for them to reset the activations. I was just wanting to get a heads up about AA8 on the newer systems. Folks have been successrul on Win7 with the updates, but the results for Win8 are still not known in general. There have been some suggestions, but nothing more. As long as it works for you that is great. For our info, what OS are you running?

I launched photoshop and a window popped up... "Help improve adobe products"      Do not participate    Participate
regardless of either one photoshop is all grayed out under the windows and will not start...

Could mean that you do not have sufficient user privileges/ file permissions and the info for your choice cannot be stored, hence it pops back over and over....

  • Photoshop cs6 - How do you stop the "Help Improve Adobe's Products" window from appearing?

EVERY time I open Photoshop CS6 I get the damn "Help Improve Adobe's Products" box appearing. I've clicked 'Participate' and answered all the questions ... I've pressed 'Do Not Participate' ... many times !
The darn window still opens every time I open PS6 .... driving me nuts!!
PS ... on a Mac ... in Australia.
There must be a way of getting rid of it ...
AND ... further ... on one of my machines ... my Mac Air ... for a while Photoshop CS6 would HANG completely (spinning beach ball) when the "Help Improve Adobe's Products" window opened BUT with no text in the box ... yup ... CS6 hung when the box opened completely empty of text !!
Would not like that to happen whilst on an assignment 'on the road' !!!
    Plaese advise !!! Thanks

I am told MacKeeper causes problems. Hopefully you did not install that.
The only idea remaining is to uninstall/clean/reinstall.
    Let's go over that:
No need to deactivate, so skip that.
In your CS6 folder is a shortcut to the uninstaller. I would like you to check "Remove Preferences" when you run the uninstaller.
When that's done, download the CS-CC Cleaner for the Mac.  Run that.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
As far as your Mac goes, Run Disk Utility on your volume.
    Verify Disk
    Repair Permissions.
    Then reinstall CS6 and updates.
It's is a "nuke and pave" approach, but if you do not want to be messing with internals you do not understand, it's the best way to go.

  • Photoshop CS5: Can't Disable Adobe Product Improvement Popup

Every time I launch Photoshop CS5, I get the "Adobe Product Improvement" window, asking if I want to participate in the program. It offers me two choices: Yes, Participate or No, Thank You. I have been clicking on the "No" button for months, but the window always comes up the next time I try to open CS5. And I have to click one of the buttons before it will let me work on a file. Needless to say, this is very annoying. Can you tell me how to disable this window?

Seems that 1712 is a time out error. Basically, Mac is waiting for Photoshop to respond in some fashion and is not getting what it wants. So this error is being returned by the OS and not Photoshop, which doesn't help us diagnose the source of the issue. Since it worked recently, first and foremost, try this (compensate for version number on file and folder names): http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/how-to-reset-photoshop- cs6s-preferences-file/

  • Help regarding Adobe product

    Hello
I am professional Accountant and my website for my complete range of services is www.itnaconsultants.com all i want to know is how adobe products can help to improve my services?

Looks like your current site is using an open source framework called Joomla! with a business template that is probably shared by a zillion other sites.  So the brand isn't very distinctive.
Your site contains a good deal of information but overall, it lacks any real wow factor.
It's also not responsive/adaptive to mobile and tablet devices.
In the hands of an experienced developer & graphics designer,  Dreamweaver and Photoshop would be the tools for creating a new, customized web site  that is both unique to your brand and responsive to mobile & tablet devices.
