I was not able to install microsoft office 2011 for mac on mountain lion? Can anybody please help me?

And you are running OS 10.8.3, right? Did you also try the Microsoft site?

Help with using MACROS for mac

I have a serious issue and not sure if Im in the right place. i just started school. I am try to using the riverpoint writer on my mac, but for some reason it keeps saying that it cant load visual basic for application. Has anyone had this problem and if so can you tell me how you resolved it. that you for your help in advance.

I must say sir I went thru it trying to get something that worked with riverpoint writer. And guess what I had to do in order for it to work on my macbook. REINSTALL OFFICE FOR MACS, thats all. Now its up and running and I am please, after searchin and spending unneccesary money on products that I did not need after all. Thank you for steering me wrong, to where I almost gave up.

Help with Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac

I am a long time user of Dreamweaver CS 5.5 for PC and recently purchased an IMac. I have a trial version of Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac and am having difficulty displaying an html file in Live View. I always used "Preview in Browser" in CS 5.5 and need this same feature. I have an active site that I imported into CS6 and the site uses templates. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ok so.. i need some help. For a resume, I want to make bullets like laterally. Like normally you have bullets when you have like a list of things one after another on separate lines. what if I want multiple bullets on the same line?

Help with GBA Emulators for Mac?

Hey there,
I recently tried to use a GBA Emulator to play Pokemon FireRed. I used VisualBoyAdvance with no issues at first, except it seems to not to save properly. I can save from the menu, get an error message, quit and the save will be there, but the save file doesn't appear in the VBA folders and if it quits/crashes or anything else I lose all my data.
My charizard was nearly level 40, now I have to start again....
I've been trawling the internet for solutions to the save issue with VBA, but nothing seems to work. I've looked at other emulators like No$GBA and Boycott but they seem to all come with issues of their own before I even get to saving anything.
I'm using a Macbook Air, OS X 10.9.3
Does anyone have any solution that actually works to make VBA work, or know of an emulator for mac that runs smoothly?

Help with installing Flashplayer with Ffox 2 & Mandrake 10.0

I am trying to get my Linux (MythTV) box (running Mandrake V10.0) to view the following site: http://www.abc.net.au/iview/
It requires Adobe Flashplayer V10, and the ability to run Java scripts.
I have installed Firefox V2.0.0.20 (since V3 will not install due to needed libraries etc.) in /usr/lib/firefox.
I cannot seem to successfully install the Flashplayer V10 plugin, despite the .so being present in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins.
Please, could someone help me with this?

I suspect that by a PowerPC G4 450 MHz you mean a PowerMac G4 450 MHz. This would be either the AGP Graphics or Gigabit Ethernet. Whichever it is, it will support OS 9 up to Tiger (10.4.11), but it does not meet the technical specifications for Leopard. However, both these have very small Hard Disk Drives on the low end, so if you have the 10 GB HDD, I would recommend replacing it before installing OS X, which needs a minimus of 5 GB free space on HDDs 40 GB or less, and 15% on HDDs larger than 40 GB.
I suggest that you consider either Panther (10.3.9) or Tiger (10.4.11) along with OS 9. I further suggest that you backup your data, then completely reformat and erase the HDD before installation. (Post back for step by step directions for reformat and installation). You will need the Full Retail Version of either Panther or Tiger.

Need Help with mysql admin for Mac

Hello all.
I am new to cold fusion and databases all together. Infact I
am doing an online tutorial to get me started, my problem is the
tutorial really just scratches the surface for the mac side and in
some cases sorta explains how to do but no visual help and I am
very visual.
I am searching for software that is really idiot proof to
start my knowledge with then make the transition when I learn more
and more to hard coding. The tutorial suggests Navicat for Mysql
admin and it is nice but he is setting up basic databases in Access
which looks really easy and I am trying to follow along with
navicat but I am just not getting it specifically when it comes to
setting up relationships between tables. Can I use a software like
FileMaker Pro and just convert to mysql or is their other software
that makes it a little more easy to understand how to set up
relationships like access does.
I am totally new to this stuff and I am looking for the
easiest product to use. Thanks again for your help and time.

As for the database part, before you write your first query,
you should become grounded in the concepts of data modeling. Then
find a good source (book, books-on-line, etc. ) for the particular
"flavor" of SQL used by your database of choice, then start writing
your queries. Data model first (entities, relationships,
attributes), then SQL.
Couple of fairly good online tutorials for data modeling.

Master this and you will save yourself many hours of grief,
trust me.

Need help with installing Windows for the bar exam

I need to retake the bar exam in Feb 2011 and I've decided to switch to typing. I am trying to figure out what Windows I need (the software says XP is fine but is that even available anymore)- so can someone walk me through this process? I've partioned my hard drive with the default 5GB but should it be more?
I'm looking at buying Windows- is XP okay or should I shell out for 7-i.e. is one more compatible with Macs?
And then finally, in the installation instructions they mention that I need my Mac OS disc for the process- is that the snow leopard disc or something else? My discs are in storage right now so should I wait until I get them before starting this process or can I get replacements if I accidentally threw them out in moving?
Sorry for all the questions, but well, I'm racing to get everything done and I want to make sure I don't crash my system halfway through the exam!

You don't need Boot Camp, but even XP will have a lot of stuff to update from after the install, and that takes temp space. Just as your Mac shows 5-10GB there is add'l hidden space used.
Apple's 'requirements' has gotten others in trouble and I was pretty sure it was more like 10GB. Plus a lot of XP discs are now SP3.
XP out of the box but connected to the net is just waiting for malware, average is 15 minutes to be infected. 7 is better and just in case you need it again.
System Builder can come in 32 or 64-bit but XP is 32-bit only.
VirtualBox by Oracle is a free VM.
1GB for one program actually seems like a lot, or is that RAM requirement?

I need help with installing flashplayer

when i download the flashplayer installer, i get a box that says " The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I have of course done some searching on google first, but found nothing related to adobe flash player.
Any help would be most appreciated.

I have this same issue, I have re-installed the latest version of C++ and also checked my system32 folder. MSVCR110.dll is in there as it should be. i have installed flash before. its just this latest update is giving me the MSVCR110.dl is missing error. Any ideas why? Im using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
