Hex character into columns

Hi, I am trying to go from ascii characters to Hex. It works fine. but I need my hex numbers to show in 4 columns ( as show on this text file, how can I do that?

Non-hex character in hex string after upgrade to Yosemite

Hi,
When I try to open some of my files I get an error: "Acrobat PDF File Format is having difficulties. Non-hex character in a hex string". I could open the files before.
The only thing I've done since I opened the file last was to upgrade to Yosemite. The error occurs on both my Mac Pro (late 2013) and Mac Book Pro with Yosemite. Unfortunately, I have no access to a Mac with Mavericks and CS6 but I will try to fix one to verify that the file works there.
Affected files (Created in Illustrator CS6 on Mavericks):
services.ai
visual guidelines v.0.4.pdf
visual guidelines.ai
Tested steps:
Open previous versions of the same file from our repository
Update Illustrator CS6 to latest version
Download Illustrator CC
Tried to Place the file into another file (same error)
Tried to repair file Enable content recovery mode | Illustrator CS2-CS5

Hi svepdesigncenter,
How you are accessing those files from your repository?
There might be chances of getting files corrupted when transferring.
File may have been sent as ascii when it should have been sent as binary or vice versa.
In 99% of transfers it's ALWAYS safest to zip an AI or eps file before sending it anywhere.

Tab character into an output file

Hi all,
I need to put a tab character into an output file in abap.
I want to create an output file that can be opened in excel, but i dont want to call excel from abap, just create the file and open later.
the tab is what automatically delimits the columns in excel
Any Ideas ??

WRITE_FIELD_SEPARATOR = 'X'
3. then TABS will automatically come.
4. or else u can use the tab character with

Is there a way to turn a text character into an image?

Is it possible to turn a text character into an image/shape...using Pages or any other iLife or iWorks app?
Reason being - I want to use a certain font and a character in it, but that particular font is not being recognized/shown properly by another computer. I want to make sure the text character shows up as I intend, and I figure the way to do that is by turning the text character into an image/shape (like a jpeg maybe? or a tiff or gif? I don't know too much about the difference between these last two). Then I can paste that image onto any background and have it still look like text laying on top of the background.
Hope that makes sense, and many thanks in advance for any insights!

Although it saves the text character as an image, it also saves the background (the white of the page) as part of that image. So when the character is pasted into a document whose background is anything other than white, it doesn't look like a simple text character anymore. It looks like a white box with a text character in it. You know what I mean?
I'm thinking I might need to use whole 'nother graphics program to do this whole deal...what do you think?
Rather than using Preview, create the new image from the clipboard in GraphicConverter & use the transparency wand to make the background transparent. Then use ⌘ E to select just the image & save, choosing to save just the selection.

REP-1425 report formula DO_SQL error putting value into column

Hi all
I have opened a report 2.5 in Oracle9i Reports Developer and, it converted ok. However, when I run the report (paper layout), the message
rep-1425 report formula DO_SQL error putting value
into column. Column may not be referenced by parameter
triggers
appears. There are several report level formula columns and corresponding placeholder columns that are the cause of this error. The formula has the following :

I can't work out what this error message really means as the column, report_tit is a placeholder column and, the formula column is not a parameter trigger!! The report_tit placeholder is used as a source for a layout field. I noticed that the layout field is defined as a placeholder column in the converted report but in the reports 2.5 version, it is defined as a layout field.
I can do a work around by replacing the SRW.DO_SQL statement with a normal PL/SQL SELECT statement. However, I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem and, if anyone can help provide an answer as to what this error really means and, also, how I can retain the SRW.DO_SQL statement and/or an alternative work around to the one that I have described.

The firewall proved to be the problem after all! The firewall set in Reports config-files is not used for WebServices, it has to be set within the stub:
Properties prop = System.getProperties();

I inserted this in my java-code and after some problems (see below), restarting Report Builder turned the trick, the report works now.

Take a deep breath, then retype this putting in all the words and punctuation you missed out the first time until it makes sense.
Your sample data, for example, could be better formatted using the [pre] and [/pre] tags to preserve formatting and put in a table format. Similarly with your output. Why are two of the numbers floating around freely in your xml but the 3rd isn't?

If free characteristic is dragged into columns % is not displayed correctly

I am working on query designer BW3.5,
In one of my queries I have a key figure for calculating percentage of total number of employees.
the report is working fine.
Now end user is saying that if he drags any of the free characteristic into columns such as state or zip, the % is not displayed instead X is dispalyed everywhere.
Please provide me some pointers as how to resolve this issue.

Hi,
you should have a look at the detailed data within that query. In most cases like this it seems to calculate a value by doing a division by zero.

Replace hex character in a string with another hex character

Hi Guys,
Heres a problem scenario, hex character 92 looks very much like hex character 27 (apostrophe).
I need to write a program that can replace all hex character 92 to hex 27 in a string.
Being a novice on the regular expressions, I would appreciate if somebody can show
the exact syntax to to perform this replacement.

I don't think you need to use regex to do this:
String s = something();
char a = 0x27;
char b = 0x92;
s.replace(a,b);
And don't forget that since Strings are immutable you need:
s = s.replace(a,b);to do anything useful.

"Acrobat PDF file format is having difficulties. Non-hex character in a string."
I', using illustrator CS6 and I need my file opened..!

Nobody can know without seeing the file and having more info about your system. Does the file open in Acroibat/ Adobe Reader for instance?

Hi everyone,
I encountered n error message in Illustrator "Acrobat PDF File Format is having difficulties. Non-hex character in a hex string." when trying to open a particular file.
File was originally created on a Windows 7 PC, tried opening file on Mac OS 10.7.5, same Illustrator version 18. Also tried opening in PDF, Distiller, but didn't help.
Did tried to change Illustrator Preferences in both Windows and Mac, following the steps in the TecNote:

When trying to open the file from the File > Open menu, with the keys held down, it did not open a blank file window, neither did it created a duplicate copy in the Finder where the file is located.
The file in question had about 15 artboards, a few embedded images, approx 2.6MB size.

The file was .ai file, as mentioned earlier, was created in Illustrator ver 18.
Not emailed, stored in the folder, on the Windows PC, not a server. Last saved few days ago, tried to reopen the file from the same computer, but could no longer opened.

My Illustrator file will not open in Illustrator and I get the "non-hex character in a hex string" window whenever I try to open it. It does open in Acrobat but nothing else. I can't even save it as a pdf file..
Is there any way I can get around that or fix it?

The first thing to try is to use File>Place in a new document and see how much, if anything, is saved this way.
The next thing to try is to repair the file code, which is more difficult. The basics are told in this TechNote, the actual recovery consists of changing/adding/deleting code.

Display rows into columns in table

I have a table name Ebiz_Upgrade_Task_Status. Here in table there are 8 rows of data with
pro_id,pobj_id,cemli_id and confirmation.
I am trying to convert all the CONFIRMATION into column wise using the query below

POBJ_ID,
CEMLI_ID,
max(decode(rownum,1,CONFIRMATION,null)) "CP1",
max(decode(rownum,2,CONFIRMATION,null)) "CP2",

Am able to see first 2 rows of data as columns, and not able to see the next rows. Please suggest me in modifyin the query

Using rownum caused your confirmation fields to be null:

It's working fine for static cases.If the first column is dynamic then how come i will resolve it.
Example:
Create table mytab (ID_C Varchar2(15),Value_N Number);
Records Population into MyTab table is dynamic.
Insert into mytab values('HO',5000);
Insert Into mytab values('PG1',2400);
Insert Into mytab values('PG2',3000);
Insert Into mytab values('PG3',800);
Commit;
SQL> Select * From MyTab;
IDC_ ValueN_
HO 5000

Then My expected result will be as follows
