HEX codes don't match!?

Hi,
I open the same illustrator document in two diferent computers, and the HEX codes are different in each case.
Example:
Computer 1: the HEX code is #ed933a (RGB 237,147,58)
Computer 2: the HEX code is #ec9239 (RGB 236,146,57)
Thanks

Thanks for answer,
No color management warnings.
"Is it set up the same on both computers?"
It isn't the same. The only difference is that one is "General Europe 3" and the other in "General North America 2"
But HEX & RGB code should not be the same? If this is the problem, What settings do you recommend for web and mobile app?
Thanks

    Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
    If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
    And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    No. Apple is not in the credit bossiness.
    You can create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

  • Hex Code Matching

    hi !
    I am taking the hex code of a file and then I match the hex code of the file with a string. There is a problem in matching.
    I have used a function that returns true if match is found. The string that I want to match is : 8B5604B1F0224E060AC1B43DCD21.
    I have tried using other strings and for those the code works fine. Also, the files that I am matching with 8B5604B1F0224E060AC1B43DCD21 are exe's and when I open them using any hex editor, I can see that string.
    Any ideas why this is happening ?
    Thanks
    Mudit

    This is the code which generates the hex code of selected file :
    public static StringBuffer displayBinaryFile2(File f) throws IOException
    String hex="";
    StringBuffer hex2=new StringBuffer();
    BufferedInputStream in = new BufferedInputStream(new FileInputStream(f));
    String z="0";
    int b,i=0,c=0;
    int count=0;
    while ((b = in.read()) != -1) {
    c++;
    try {
    hex=Integer.toHexString(b);
    if (hex.length() == 1)
    {hex = '0' + hex;}
    hex2=hex2.append(hex);//hex2+hex;
    } catch(Exception e){System.out.println("Example5.java"+e);}
    in.close();
    return hex2;
    When I use this code for an exe, the hex code is generated. Next, I match it with a string. The string is present in the hex code as I've found it in hex editor. But still my program does not find the string in the hex code. Has it something to do with internal representation of hex code of exe or what ?
    Please help people -- I am in real trouble

  • Create and Send an array of hex code to a device through serial port

    My name is Tina Drew,
    I am working programming a project involving an RFID system. In order to get the project to work the way that I desire, it must send a hex code of 01 to start the device and 6A to run in continuous mode. I have part of the program by the device does not appear to be responding to the hex signal. Maybe my programming is incorrect. In addition, it will not read the information from the microreader through the serial port. It says that the time has expired before the operation can be carried out. What should I do? A sample of the program is attached.
    Please contact me as soon as possible at 410-651-7604 or [email protected]

    You forgot to attach your program. It happens to the best of us. I sure wish NI would move the darn attachment button next to or before the submit button.
    Things to check:
    Baud Rate
    Number of stop bits
    Parity bit
    DCE device talking to DTE or vice versa. If both devices are DCE or both DTE, you must use a null modem cable.
    You can use Hyperterminal to see if you can communicate with your device manually (On the hyperterminal screen, hold down the Alt key and type 001 from the numeric keypad, not the numbers from the top row above the letters, a smiley face will appear if the device echos back the character. If it don't, you can setup hyperterminal to display the character - look under file-properties-settings-ASCII Sending-Echo typed characters locally). If you receive a good response, this will tell you if you have the correct baud rate, etc... After proving that this works, make sure your vi's serial port configuration match your hyperterminal settings. You can use a breakout box to determine if you have a good DCE-DTE match. DCE will assert the RS232 signals DSR, CTS, and CD. DTE will assert DTR and RTS. By hooking up a breakout box on one end of the com link, you can see which LEDs are on and this tells you whether you have a DCE or DTE. Most computers are DCE. Modems are DTE. Your device would have to look like a modem to the computer as far as RS232 signals go.

  • Geofence locations in "Reminders" don't match address book

    If I go into "Reminders" and try set a location-based reminder for Home or Work, the addresses listed aren't the same as the ones in my address book. They're within a mile of me, but never close enough that I reliably enter that location when I'm at home or at work. The post code shown in Reminders is just the first four characters of the post code listed in my address book, and the addresses it gives me do lie within that postcode region.

    Sorry all,  re my question above,  since reading a response, from Winston Churchill, to another question I realise that I have two address lists on my iPhone (iCloud and On My Mac). They match each other and (MacBook)Address Book  but don't match the Mail Contacts.  Thanks, M

  • DigitalColor Meter not displaying HEX code

    In Snow Leopard I was using DigitalColor Meter 3.7.2 which had support for RGB as a Hex Value, 8-bit hex colour as  (See Image)
    I recently purchased a iMac and although I thought i was going to have Snow Leopard installed it came with Lion. So I though I would try it out for myself.
    I when to open my DigitalColor Meter 4.0 on Lion and I am not even given the option. (See Image)
    As a web developer I have used this tool every day for years! I was able to cut and paste the hex code to any colour I saw on my screen not matter where it was or what program I was using. The changes made to this tool have basically made it useless to me.
    I really don't know why you would take away functionality on a operating system that is used by so many creative people and in a field that is just growing more in popularity.
    I really hope I can find a way to get this back or it is just hidden with some terminal command.

    You could try using the SL version in Lion. I've not tried that. BTW, if you want to report this issue to Apple's engineering, send a bug report or an enhancement request via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, register as an Apple Developer—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report or enhancement request. You'll get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

  • Timecodes don't match from same clip?!

    I'm trying to relink audio to a clip that I added to the timeline but deleted the audio track. But when I double click on the clip on the timeline copy the timecode and then load the original clip from the bin and paste the timecode. The times don't match. The two clips which are the same clip one just on the timeline with the audio unlinked, have different starting timecodes. I've attached a pic to show what I mean.

    Without any 3rd party tools (except Word) you have three other options -
    1. fastest - temporarily set up your track to match the timecode of your STL file.
    You can do this by exporting a reference movie of your sequence with a modified starting time code. Bring in this asset to DVDSP and drop it in your track, import the STL, and then replace the reference movie with your encoded asset. The subtitles will stay put and should stay lined up.
    This method can also be effective for compensating for smaller offsets casued by differences between the encode and tape master caused by trimming, encoding, etc. You can temporarily adjust the start trim of your asset if subtitles are coming up early, or add a still image to the beginning of the track if the subtitles are coming up late. Once the subtitles are imported to the track, they will stay in the same positions when assets are moved around or replaced.
    2. re-encode your video with the correct starting time code - make sure whether the TC is supposed to DF or NDF. The advantage here is that if the subs need to be re-imported for any reason, you won't have to go through the flip-flopping of assets in option 1.
    3. more complex, but still fast - change the timecodes in your file using find and replace. This will really only allow you to change the hour place in the timecodes, but may be all you need. Open the file in Word, and you should see comma-delimited data in a 3-column format:
    [start time] , [end time} , "subtitle text"
    00:00:00;00 , 00:00:00;05 , this subtitle is 5 seconds long
    So, in Word, you can search for ^p00: and replace it with ^p01: (^p is the code for a paragraph break). This will change all the satrting times hour values from 00 to 01. Then do the end times by seraching for , 00: (space-comma-space-zero-zero-colon) and change to , 01:.

  • Credit Card Details don't match those of my bank...?

    This is just classic! Please can somebody help me as Apple are totally useless at getting back to me despite 'escalating' my issue to higher management and admitting that other people are also having similar problems.
    I was using iTunes just fine until Jan 8th, I've also bought a load of stuff from the Apple Online Store. All of a sudden, according to iTunes, my credit card Zip Code "doesn't match the records of my bank". I ring JP Morgan and they assure me that my Zip Code certainly hasn't changed! I try to contact iTunes and I get some pointless and thoroughly unhelpful automated response.
    I enter other credit cards and then get told that even my credit card number doesn't match those which my bank have - strange as they are identical to the ones on my bank's card and the ones I'm typing in!
    I have heard NOTHING from Apple, they have been useless at dealing with this and despite me being a very long-term and loyal customer. What do I need to do, chain myself to the counter at the Apple Store before I get some attention with this? It was fixed just fine until Apple inexplicably broke it for no good reason?!
    What is wrong with these guys? They seem to be happy charging top dollar for everything but don't want to give any service back, can anybody help?
    Oh, and about the county thing, I live in Manhattan, NY and tried that old trick (ITMS even suggested it) but it keeps telling me that it knows just fine where Manhattan is and won't let me enter anything else!

    Apple definitely seems to be having some trouble with
    their music store lately... I've gotten a whole
    assortment of error messages over the past 2 weeks.
    That sounds almost as bad as my permissions problem:
    I get an error message that says i don't have
    permission to write to my itunes music folder, but I
    do! lol
    Good luck!
    -Dave
    iTMS acknowlegded to me in an email on January 27th that they were having problems:
    "We apologize for the frustration that this issue has caused you. Some other iTunes customers have also reported receiving an error stating that the zip code associated with their iTunes account does not match the zip code, that their bank or credit card company has on file."
    What can be done? My addresses are clearly the same, my bank haven't changed anything, could it be the iLife 06 I installed which has done something to iTunes? Everything was working fine until then...
    Let me know how you guys fare, it's pointless having an iPod really if you can't buy the music - do they want us to have to get it by other means?!

  • The pt 3 tutorial code doesn't match the pt 2 tutorial code.  Nowhere to insert head in pt 2 code.

    At the end of the part 2 tutorial, this was the code:
    @charset "utf-8";
    /* CSS Document */
    #container {
    width: 968px;
    background: #FFF;
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding-left: 10px;
    padding-right: 10px;
    overflow: hidden;
    }#main_image {
    background-image: url(images/main.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    #container #main_image {
    height: 376px;
    width: 968px;
    #left_column, #center_column, #right_column {
    width: 316px;
    float: left;
    #center_column, #right_column {
    margin-left: 10px;
    The part 3 tutorial instructed this:
    Copy the <script> tags from the Edge Web Fonts site, and paste them into the <head> section of index.html in Dreamweaver just above the <link> that attaches the style sheet like this:
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Check Magazine</title>
    <script src="http://use.edgefonts.net/sarina.js"></script>
    <link href="styles/check_cs6.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    </head>
    As you can see from the code at the end of part two (listed at the top), there is no reference to <head> anywhere in the code; therefore, I am uncertain as to where to insert these code instructions.

    I assume that the embedded tags are in the index document, not the styles type document?   I appreciate the information, but I don't see how it relates to my question.  Maybe your answer was just over my head? My original question was: If the instructions say this:
    Copy the paste them into the  section of index.html in
    Dreamweaver just above the  that attaches the style
    sheet like this:
    and there the word does not appear anywhere on the index file that I can see it (whether it's embedded or otherwise), where do I insert the code?

    The pair of and  tags are an integral part of any HTML document. When you create a new page in DW, it automatically creates the core HTML tags for you, so in that regard, there's nothing for you to add except content and styles. Embedded CSS styles are inserted inside the document's  tags like so:       body      #LeftSideBar       #RightSideBar      #MiddleContent
    External CSS is a separate physical file to which all your HTML pages are linked. Similar to above, links to external style sheets go inside the  tags like this:

  • Colors of imported illustrator files don't match indesign colors

    I'll be honest: I'm likely missing something really basic. This is really frustrating, though.
    The simple version: when I drag an Illustrator file into my InDesign document, its colors don't match the colors of shapes in the InDesign document drawn with the same color values.
    The long version:
    I'm working on a resume document. I've created a logo in Illustrator - the document is in CMYK color mode and uses SWOP v2 color space. I've dragged the file into InDesign, where I have some basic geometric shapes that intersect the logo. The InDesign document is also set to CMYK and is using the SWOP v2 color space. I've noticed, however, that the colors of my logo (which, again, was imported from Illustrator) do not match the colors of shapes drawn natively in InDesign even when their hexadecimal color values are identical. To further this point. I created a shape in InDesign with color #86c8cf. I then copied the value #86c8cf into Illustrator and drew a shape using that color. I imported that Illustrator shape into InDesign and placed the Illustrator Shape and the native InDesign shapes side by side. I even exported to PDF and pulled it up in preview to proof it. The colors, while very similar, are NOT the same color.
    Am I missing something really obvious? Or are these two programs not at all working together like they're always said to do so well?

    Dunno why. Which versions of ID/AI? Not that it should matter, I get the same results with CS6 and CC2014.
    One square in ID is native, the other from a placed AI file--though drag and drop are the same results.
    Acrobat, hovering over one square...
    And over the other square...
    I used your hex values in Illy, used Illy's CMYK values in ID.

  • Trying to upgrade to Fibre. Postcodes don't match?...

    Hi all. Been a loyal BT customer for 14 years now. Started off with dial up, then Broadband. Now our village has gone fibre so i thought i'll order it up and get superfast. Anyway, doing the order through BT's website, i enter all my details, including the telephone number / postcode form fields then when i select to proceed, the order for comes up with "postcode does not match telephone number" and i can't continue.
    Anyways, after about half an hour on the phone to them last weekend, i spoke to 2 different departments and explained that my phone bill has the correct postcode (it used to have the postcode for the street down from me) after me telling them around 5 years ago that the postcode was wrong but they saying that the broadband database is clearly not matching the phone line database.
    So the call centre agent finally comes back and says she can't put the order for fibre through at her end and give it 5 working days them try order again.
    Low and behold, i try yesterday to order again, same thing, postcodes don't match telephone line? then they have the cheek to email me stating that i haven't completed my order.
    Another thing is that i registered my interest as to when fibre was available and they confirmed it was, by email, around 2 months ago o i'm assuming it's the postcode that's stopping me ordering.
    I'm pretty sure there is data protection issues also as databases aren't supposed to have redundant data in them? under data protection act.
    After my last fiasco with me paying double for years i'm just about ready to dump BT if i don't get some sort of solution soon.
    Anyone else have any ideas?
    regards, Barry

  • How do HEX codes affect CMYK Process colors?

    I just received a banner for a client and their logo had two different blacks utilized within different letters of the text.
    Basically, the logo has the word Barn in it and the "B" looks more brown in comparison, with the rest of the letters ("arn") as black.
    Under closer examination, I discovered the "B" in the word Barn had a different HEX code than the rest of the letters even though all of the letters are all 100K black.
    Color of the B: Hex #231F20
    Color of ARN: Hex #010101
    What really throws me off is that the black used in the letter "B" is a default process swatch in Illustrator in the Greys folder.
    I'm not sure how the colors changed in my design process, but I have never taken hex code into account when designing. I view it as 100k black should print 100k no matter what. In trying to decipher what happened, as well as prevent this from occuring in the future, I would very much appreciate any explaination on this occurance.
    Obviously I intended all of the blacks to print the same shade of black (again, I am not sure how the B was changed while designing the banners), but why would hex code affect anything at all? Shouldn't a color (especially a process color) print at 100k?
    Also, why would the Illustrator process color swatch that is included within the defaults and listed in the grey folder print more brown than my other letters?
    THANK YOU!

    First before anything make sure you are in the correct file >> document color mode
    RGB - Web or DIgitial Banners
    CMYK - Printed Banners
    There is not one CMYK value for every one RGB value, so therefore you have three 100k screenshots, with different RGB values. If you file is in document color mode CMYK  you should be good for getting 100k to print. If you are in doucemtn colro mode RGB, then you will have 3 differetn values for the screenshots shown.
    You ask a very good question, as this is often overlooked, and can get confusing. Remember that whatever document color mode your color panel should always match when entering numbers. Having a doucument color mode of CMYK, and entering values in RGB is useless and really should not even be allowed.

  • Neslab RTE-17 hex code

    Hi
    I am trying to run the set set point driver for my Neslab RTE-17 water bath. I have managed to get it to communitcate with the waterbath so that the water bath will tell me the temperature it is at and set points etc. However when it comes to sending a command such as changing the set point it won't do it.
    If I put in the hex code to change the temperature to 62.5oC I would put in CA00 01FO 0202 71 the output code is CA00 010F 0203 F0FA I think this is an error code but I don't have a clue what it means.
    Someone please help

    Opening and closing the com port for every single write/read command is bad style. Open the comport once, do all the task and close it at the end.
    The stacked sequence is not needed (maybe the wait need a 'stamp' all the rest is lined up correctly by the error cluster).
    I simplified your conversion to the string written to the port
    And guess what the rg stand for
    If you can read values but not send commands, maybe it's because the protocol has some kind of checksum you do not provide, but that should be noted in the manual. Same with the answer you do not understand. (Looks like a bus type protocol)
    Have you searched the web for a LabVIEW driver for your device? Or asked Neslab?
    If you post vis please don't forget subvis..
    and provide a link to the manual if you don't understand it.
