Hi Suresh,
When you have the Customer numbers with you.. go to the customer master data table KNA1.
KNA1-KUNNR is the Customer number field.
Write : SELECT SINGLE ADRNR
FROM KNA1
WHERE KUNNR EQ "Your Sold-to or Ship-to Customer".
Use this ADRNR to get the address details from the Address master data table ADRC.
SELECT SINGLE name1 name2 name3 name4
post_code1
street
city1
FROM ADRC
WHERE addrnumber EQ "The ADRNR you got from KNA1".
In most cases you will get these details from KNA1 itself.. NAME1, PSTLZ, STRAS, ORT01 are the fields.. But in few cases you need to get the data from ADRC.

because Message type and Basic IDOC type varies from process to process
if you know Message type, check in WE41/WE42
and underneath you can get logical message as well

The only option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings. Hope you have a backup.

Creation of Ship tp party code based on Address in BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFR

Hi Experts,
Scenario is read external file as input to create SO in ECC .
I am using the BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 for creating sales order. In VA01, Ship to party and sold to party needs to be passed in header level . But the problem is that I am unable to send the Ship to party Code , but i can send only the address of ship to party .
1. How can get the Ship to party code based on the address ?
2. Which BAPI filed to update the Ship to party address ?

I think if you mean Address as ADRNR, then what you can do is
1. Go to KNA1 and from ADRNR no get the Ship-to-party number.
2. When you get the Number Call your mentioned bapi and in Tables parameter 'ORDER_PARTNERS' pass the values of ship-to-party and sold-to-party in field 'PARTN_NUMB', update the field PARTN_ROLE with assigned Partner Function.

Dear Gunasekhar,
There are no separate datasource for 0sold to, 0ship to and 0bill to parties.
They are referrenced to 0CUSTOMER in BW. and the datasources for 0customer are 0CUSTOMER_ATTR and 0CUSTOMER_TEXT.

Postal code & PO Box are linked and postal code is dependent on PO Box and this is dependent on country etc selected in the upper box
is it really necessary to maintain or are you going to print it somewhere....

Only enter the PO Box number in this field. The text "PO Box" is provided in the recipient language by the system when you print the address.
When you print an address, the "Street address" and the "PO Box address" are distinguished. The print program determines which of them has priority if both are maintained in an address record.

Hello Friend,
I think u know the procedure how to do it, just to make it more clear I am giving you step wise how to do,
01. Go to '<b>OVT0</b>', find your account group and then display that.
02. Now give a double click on general data.
03. Now double click on address.
04. Now select the optional entry radio button.
05. And save it.
Now you can create customer master and yoou will have the postal code as optional field.
<b>And will not have any bad impace nywhere</b>.

Power Map Locations for Canadian Postal Codes showing incorrectly

I see great potential in the possibilities of using Power Map. However the location for one Canadian postal code is showing incorrectly on the resulting map. I have verified that the postal code itself is correct and my data has been entered correctly and
it is below:
N6K 0B3
It is showing nowhere near where it is supposed to be. Users of the application have to have confidence that the mapping behind it is correct. I need to create maps for each poll for volunteers to retrieve
the signs post-election and don't want to send them to the wrong locations.
By the way, why is my font size changing if I modify the text in my post?

Ahh Geolocations are fun, aren't they!
Bing maps is showing N6K 0B3 as just south west of London, ON. Google maps shows it north of there, West of London. If Bing is not correct, you'd need to request a fix from Bing/Microsoft.
While you wait for that, you'd have to create your own kludge to correct it:
CASE WHEN postcode = 'N6K 0B3' THEN geography::Point(-81.437296,43.0041629,4326) ELSE bingsGeospatial as geoPoint
I was in talks with Canada Post regarding acquiring their geo location data for post codes a while ago. You can get a product from them for about 7500 a year. I was rather disappointed to find they only provided points, and not bounding boxes (as google
maps does).

Vendor master error - Postal code ??

the checking rule is defined by SAP, following the country specific rules for their address and postal code layout.
It is mainly used to check the entries made at vendor master, customer master, delivery address, plant adress etc. maintenance.
But interfaces to external systems like VERTEX (just an example, not valid for NL, but other countries like USA have as well specific checking rules) rely on accurate entered postal codes.
If you get business letters from a customer or vendor from NL, then they have usually printed the postal code in the right fashion, you just need to type it like it shown to avoid an error coming from the checking rule.

Can't Order Book. Postal Code not accepted

I've spent days and nights.. creating a Book in Iphoto from my latest vacation.
Now when i'm finished i cannot order since my Postal Code(Zip Code) isn't accepted.
I live in Sweden and no matter what ZIp Code or variations of it i try (believe me i have tried) i cannot get past step2. I always get the dialog that i need to eneter a valid postal code.
I've searched the web and tried (just to get past the second step) postal codes for a few other countries, and the ONLY one working is when i try a US address and ofcourse select USA as the country.
I've tried with a new account, and with an existing account that works fine with itunes... Anyone have any ideas, or have i just wasted days creating a book i cannot order..

Wild Card Postal Codes in Transportation Zones and Postal Code Range in TCM

Hello Experts,
I have 2 queries on Postal Codes usability in SAP TM:
1. Postal Code Transportation Zones:
Business Scenario: Some countries have non-numeric Postal Codes and you can not maintain From and To Postal Code range. System supports Postal Code to be entered as Wild Card (XY1*) in Transportation Zone but does not respect them during charge calculation.
2. Postal Code Range in Rate Table:
There are standard Calculation Bases for Source/Destination Postal Code Range but these do not allow maintaining values like Source Postal Code Range (90100-90199) to Destination Postal Code Range (63100-63199). I am unable to understand the use of these 2 calculation bases since they do not accept range.

I start with the first question: Well, well, well. Probably one of the most underestimated topics in the transportation network. A bit of a background: Postal codes are alphanumeric meaning they allow numbers and characters. Of course for some countries only numbers are required and those are pretty easy to handle. Nevertheless, SAP produces global software and there are countries having postal codes with unfixed length, character first, in the middle, at the end. This makes ranges ugly, tough, sometimes impossible.
The range definition works alphanumeric, which is a position to position comparison based on single chars. You can check the inclusion results in excel or with any database. For the zone definition this can mean that you are forced to enter postal codes and no ranges. Of course this blows up the maintenance effort in the beginning, but ensures the correctness.
I was surprised by your comment that the zone definition allows '*' because this would make this whole thing even more complicated and error prone. I tested it and it does not work, at least for Germany. I think in the address definition per country you can define valid formats for postal codes and there '*' is not valid for Germany. The transportation zone location inclusion will not work with pattern!
In case you have manages to maintain this: I would advise to take the effort and enter at least valid ranges.

Hi,
Check the settings for the country you are maintaining the following path -
SPRO>>SAP NetWeaver>>General Settings>>Set Countries>>Set Country-Specific Checks.
In this check for the country what settings have been maintained for postal code. Also do a F1 to see the help on the checking rule field.

Active Message When you have invalid host name in Proxy Server

I have an issue with one of our customers.
To communicate with any external parties, we have to define the host name in proxy server(Firewall).
I noticed that when we configure a WCF or HTTP adapter with an invalid host name of https url address, the messages remain active.
I am using ESB Toolkit in my implementation but I reproduced same issue using Orchestration with static port and dynamic port.
I traced the message using Fiddler and I noticed that we only have one hit with Status Code 407(407 proxy authentication required) and it is not retrying which is not a risk to my implementation. However, I consumed a web service using a console application
and I set an invalid host name for url but I noticed there are two hits in Fiddler one is 200 http status code and the second hit 407 http status code and I could catch the exception.
The question is: How to enforce BizTalk to suspend these messages or how to handle these messages?
Note that I did the followings trials but no lucks:
- I updated retry count to zero
- Delivery Notification of the Port is Transmitted
- updated closeTimeout, sendTimeout, openTimeout values

You are getting "The remote name could not be resolved" because you are not using Proxy.
I tried to tweak on Retry Count(tried zero,1,2...). I am sure it is not retrying because there is not any network hits or packets in Fiddler or WireShark and messages stay forever.
ESB is not my issue because I reproduced same issue with a simple orchestration consuming a service with a static send port.
I have the following notes:
- In console application and Biztalk application using WireShark I can see same number and types of network packets in both cases.
- I tried to change https url to http with incorrect host name in this time retrying is working and message suspended after exceeding retry count.
- I tried to use https which is the required one with correct host name and change service name, I could see client OK Hello and server OK Hello and retying working fine and message suspended after that.
I think the issue with handshaking with proxy server because I could not see client Ok and Server ok hello when changing the host name.
There is another thread talking about an issue with active message and handshake.

Find destrict of ship to party

I have little bit requriement. I am getting ship to party information except district through idoc. I need to find out district of that ship to party based on tha tinformation.
