Account? Or just an extra address?
if you just want an extra address you can add up to three 'email aliases'. These are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.
You should however be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account, move it to another account, or reactivate it if you delete it.

If you want to add an extra full account you will need to go to http://appleid.apple.com and create a new Apple ID: you will need another email address to do this - you can't use the one already associated with your current ID.
Then you can go to System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and add it there (Lion 10.7.2 minimum required). -

I have done as much research as I can do in regards to setting up the HP ePrint App Email Accounts. If you do not see your email information listed here, feel free to post it below or contact your internet service provider, phone or email company, or whomever else that might know this. I am certain there are many more that could be added but this is a rather extensive list. I hope you find what you need to finish setting up your email applications.
I have noticed information differs from website to website but as I have learned over time, with domain masking and companies buying out other companies, I just researched all the information I could find and that way if one of the hostnames or ports don’t work, then you can continue to view further into this page to see if that information is the same. At that point, if you can’t find what you need here, I would say you have done all that you can do before contacting the appropriate support team for your email information.
Most of the links are active and the ones listed below should send you directly the pages I pulled this information from but only a few of them were from the actual support sites themselves (Apple support was vague, as well as Microsoft, Macintosh, and commonly used ISPs). Save yourself some time by searching here first. I hope you find what you need in this one-stop-shop and if you get an email address not listed here please post it below and I will add it to this original document.
Lastly, as this information is from forum-based and other unofficial websites, I would like to add that this is a copy/paste/edit-for-easy-reading document I created in my spare time. This is a very long document so I do recommend using the search and find quick keys to search for the email you need but the top part of this has definitions as to what servers, ports, and hostnames are and the basic setup in case you need to know what these options are used for and what they mean.

For networks, a port means an endpoint to a logical connection. The port number identifies what type of port it is. Here are the default email ports for:

View Solution.Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. is there any way to setup a email account for sending only? i have a pop account that i fwd to my google acct, so all my mail is mapi thru google/exchange. i do need this account as a send email address so currently i have entered a wrong password so i do not duplicate my inbox. its annoying as i get the bad reteival popup continuessly. Many email products, like outlook allow you to decide which accounts to download. it should be a simple fix from Apple, but dont think there is any one to talk too about this. other option is to use the gmail app or chrome, but like apple's email better for iphone Any ideas??

Hello, I have been trying for two days to setup an exchange email account (my work's account) in a Xperia Z3 with no success. It works fine with my iphone and it also works fine in all my colleagues Android phones. In my Xperia I go to add new account --> put my email account and username --> select exchange activesync --> and I put my doman\username, password, server, SSL and also leave the 443 port (though I have tried many aleternatives), but it can never connect.
I was thinking about returning my Xperia as I need my work's email and calendar in my phone, but then I downloaded the Touchdown app whic is an email app for exchange accounts. I used the exact same setup configuration and it worked flawlessly.
The issue is that I still would like to use my default email app for all my email accounts, including exchange. Is anybody having the same issue? Is it a bug in the Xperias Z3 email app? Will it be solved? Now I am using the Touchdown app (it costs 20 $) but in my opinion Sony's email app should solve this issue.
Thanks in advance for your helpI am having the same issue with my Sony Xperia Z3v. This is now the second Sony phone in as many weeks I have tried neither functions properly with exchange email. My corporate email is with rackspace.com and while I can go in and set up the account the phone does NOT recieve emails via push. I only get emails when I manually have the email application refresh. Calendars and tasks also DO NOT sync automatically via push. I really need a fix for this or I'm going to have to send this device back to verizon for a Samsung phone. I like many of the features of the sony device over the samsung but Email is a major problem for me this being a company phone.

when trying to send a photo via email, I am prompted to setup an email account even though email is already setup. What would cause this? Better yet, how do I fix it?
I have checked this on my device. I see a Default account under Messages created outside of Mail will be sent from the default account. There is an account selected, though it does not show my exchnage account. If it is only an exchange accout, can that not be used for this?

I have an email account causes the machine to hang up after being in use for a day. It only occurs on my Macbook Pro and only one particular account. The problem account works fine on my iMac and Windows Machines. I have been to the local Genius bar and through trial and error we have determined that Mail is working ok but somehow the account is causing the problem. I have used this account for years. Any ideas what is causing this?
No idea why, but one thing you may try if you have the time, is create a new user, and set up the problem mail account in the new user space. See if it causes your MBP to hang as well. That will tell you if it is something wrong with your main User, or something wrong with MBP.
Assuming this works, I'd nuke the problem account in your main user space, re-start, and reinititate the account and see if that helps.
Depening on how many email accounts you have setup, it may be necessary to nuke the whole Mail folder in your User/Library.... Hard way to get it to work, but just my idea. -
ppl i fed up with my mac air while using my exchange email account, it takes ages to refresh and it doesn't send or receive instantly , no clue although that the same setting and server names has been set up on my iPhone and it is working totally fine
Install ClamXav and run a scan with that. It should pick up any trojans.

The iPhone does not store ANY information on the SIM card. If they were truly on the SIM, re-import them from the SIM.

If you are having issues receiving the email verification for your security questions, you may find the following article helpful:
When you provide a rescue email address during Apple ID creation, you will receive an email from Apple to verify that the email address provided is accurate. If you don't see an email from Apple asking you to verify your rescue email address, you may want to check your SPAM folder. If you still haven't received the email from Apple, you can sign in to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com) to resend your rescue email address. To resend your verification email, click on Password & Security. Then, click the Resend link located in the Rescue Email Address section.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
