It sounds like it is too late to back up. Did you not think of that the first 16 times? It is probably no good anyway due to corrosion from the water all those times. Buy a new phone.

I don't think the phone is fit for purpose as any other phone i've had has been dropped and been fine and surely they expect a mobile to be accidentally dropped at least once!!

If you dropped it on concrete- that is the hardest material and chance of damage goes up tremedously. Actually you are fortunate not to have mobile insurance because then you have to trust your insurance provider to provide you with a quality replacement or repair.
Apple is always spot-on you know what you're getting. They can always attempt to replace JUST the display on an iPhone 5 for $149 + tax is what I've heard them quote others. But they said it's $229 to replace your phone with another whole new iPhone 5. Get the AppleCare+ because two of these incidents will only cost you $49 + tax in the future!

If you have an Apple Store in your area, you can make an appointment at the Genius Bar and they'll replace the iPhone on the spot.
There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "iPhone repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPhone serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further support from Apple will be voided.

Go to the iTunes menu > Preferences > Playback.

I updated the video driver and now the screen won't come on? how can I roll back the driver when I can't see the screen?

I am running my Mac Book Pro with Bootcamp. Leopard on one partition and Windows 7 on the other. I updated the driver for the Nvidia video card then the screen went black. I tried to boot into the MAC side but the screen doesn't even show the optional boot screen. It does however sound like it's booting, I have tried hooking up a second monitor to see if it would show on that but it doesn't. I have also tried booting from the CD using the Win 7 disk, hoping that it would use the video driver on the disk instead. I'm either not doing it right (pressing ctrl & D whilst starting up) or that doesn't work either? I'm a bit lost? Don't know how to get to it.

Take your MBP to an Apple Store or an AASP. If you are still under warranty and/or have AppleCare, suggest that you take advantage of it & call Apple tech support.

Yeap, it's another of those "undocumented features" from the Apple cult. The same thing happened to me even though I backed up to iTunes before upgrading. I lost everything... apps, music, podcasts and ebooks.
You'll have to reinstall all your missing apps from the app store. But, don't worry. It's free. It remembers that you bought them. You can even look up past purchases to verify what you bought. (I don't know how far you can go back since I only bought my iPad last month.) The pain is that you have to load them individually.
I also had to separately reload all my music, podcasts and ebooks, which I acquired prior to buying my iPad.
It goes to show that the one area in which Apple really beats out Microsoft, is their hype.
Even so, the iPad is great.

Unfortunantly, the screen cracked very badly, and it has become a hazard, not only for the many cuts I have gotton on my fingers from the ipod screen's broken glass, but for what I type (because the screen is cracked so badly, I cannot see what I am doing). The ipod has become pointless to own in its condition. How can i get my mac to trust my iPhone when i have smashed the screen

I have smashed the screen on my iPhone 6 and it is not recognising finger touch at all. I have plugged it into my Mac so I can back it up. My mac is recognising the phone but as I have not used my phone with my mac before it is asking me to press touch on my iPhone. Which, I can't do due to the screen being badly damaged. I really need to back my photos up. I don't have a passcode so didn't think it would raise an issue but it clearly isn't letting my get my photos through iTunes, iPhoto or iexplora.. please help!

You can't. It's too late for that.
If you had iCloud backups turned on, hopefully, the camera roll is already backed up there. If you didn't, you'll just have to hope that the data is intact when you take the phone to the Apple Store to have the screen replaced. In theory, if the only thing that's damaged is the screen, then replacing it shouldn't wipe the data. If more is damaged, the entire phone will have to be replaced. Apple can't back it up for you.

I pressed the sleep/wake button on the top of the iPhone to check the time, and as I did so, the screen flashed on and off and now the screen won't work. Whenever I put my simcard in there calls will go through but I am unable to hear them, but if I take it out calls don't go through. I've tried charging it for a while, connecting to my laptop, holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10seconds to restore it, but nothing works. I've looked around and no-one'ed seemed to have this problem. I'd like to know what is wrong with my iPhone ASAP. thanks.

First, update iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer and do a restore. This will also get your iOS up to date. Your phone should operate correctly after doing this, if not, you will most likely need to have the phone serviced or replaced.

If you got the Unlocked message it means it was successfully unlocked by AT&T. Apple will not relock or block it. They have no objections to it being used on T-Mobile. It is still under warrantee. Take to an Apple store. They can test it with a SIM from AT&T. If that doesn't work have them replace the phone. Have them verify that the new phone is unlocked. If it does work with the AT&T card then it is a T_Mobile problem.

I have the same problem.. EXACTLY. . When phoning Apple Support they had trouble understanding my problem and couldnt find any type of solution. No one seems to take responsibility for GameCenter issues. The assistant escalated the problem but no one could find an answer. .
The only idea was to set up a new apple id, hence a new GameCenter account. . But that would loose all the itunes data. Anyone got ideas ?
