  • Hide axis labels

    I have 3 columns for my Axis labels and chart is as desired. BUT, I only want to show the first 2 categories of values on my axis (year and Quarter).  The 3rd label allows me to chart each individual value but I don't want the values to show in the
    axis. They appear in the graph as "points" but I need to hide them on the axis.
    How do I do that?
    TIA

    Hi TIA,
    According to your description, you want to show the first 2 categories of values on my axis (year and Quarter) in your Pivot Chart, right?
    I have tested it on my environment, currently there are no any options to hide axis labels in Axis Option for a Pivot Chart which you can see on the screenshot below.
    So in your scenario, there is no such a functionally to work around your requirement. If you have any concern about this behavior, you can submit a feedback at

  • How can I show a 0% range in the data value label on a bar chart thanks?

    How can I show a 0% range in the data value label on a bar chart thanks?

    I'm not sure what the question is.
    I know that if you have a bar chart and one of the categories (X-axis) has bar (Y value) equal to 0%, no bar is plotted for that category. Even the addition of a stroke (line) around the bars doesn't make one appear for 0%.  The only automatic way I know of to make it look like there is data in that category is to add the value labels to the bars. Inspector/Chart/Series, select one of the bars on the chart, click on "value labels". Another method that is a workaround is to fudge the number a little in your table so that instead of 0% it is a very small %.  This will get you a thin line on the chart.
    But if your question is about the value labels (the numbers that display on or in the bars) and you are not getting one for a bar that is supposed to be 0%, it probably means your table doesn't actually have a 0% in the corresponding cell. A blank cell in the table will not get a value label.

  • How do I get more than 10 Y axis chart labels on a line chart

    I cannot find a way to get more than 10 y axis labels on a line chart. In AppleWorks you set your step size so a size of "10" which in my case equates to labels of 10, 20, 30, ..., 80, 90 and so on up to the MAX value. I would often have 20 or more labels. In iWork the size is the number of labels and the maximum size (number of labels) I can display is 10. With a min value of 30 and a max value of 330 each label jumps 30 points which doesn't give the resolution I need to see...and....when showing the data point values on the page in iWork they overlap each other and are unreadable even when stretched out on legal paper.

    What I am calling the X axis (horizontal) you are calling the Y axis. I need more than 10 labels on the vertical axis. Space for text is not a problem. I already have done exactly what you suggest for the horizontal axis. What I need is to get 30 value labels on the vertical axis (You show 5 in your example) along with the many more than 10 I have on the horizontal axis. The 10 through 300 value labels run vertically, and roughly 90 data points, one per day covering 3 months runs horizontally with a date label every 7 days. This graph represents values recorded daily at the same time each day.

  • Labels in a web chart

    Hello,
    I would like to add labels to points in a XY-chart. The labels should show the text of the Info Object which belongs to the value of the data series. For instance you have 10 plants, which have different values of a key figure. Now the name of each plant should be shown next to the corresponding point of the data series.
    Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
    Does a list exist, which entries are allowed in the Format Label field in the chart designer? ($label, $abs, $series etc.)
    Thx for every help
    Michael

    Yes I´ve checked the help already, but it doesn't seem to explain all possibilities you have with the format entry. For instance $Series is missing and also the possibility to display negative numbers in a different format. Does anybody know about a document, which describes the possibilities of the chart engine?
    The note you mentioned provides another piece of information, but it does not explain how to display the text of the corresponding InfoObject as a label. Maybe it is not possible.
    Regards Michael

  • Labels on 3d Pie Chart overrunning

    Is it possible to rotate the labels on a 3d pie chart so they don't run into each other? I have a case where there are small values with a label that running into the next label over for an item?
    I believe this is corrected in the newer versions of any chart, but I am limited to the apex 3.2 version of anychart, since I am hosted on a 3rd party site..
    Thank you,

    I understand that the feature is not available in current version of APEX Flash Pie charts now.... Can only hope when APEX 4.0 comes out we get newer version of anychart..
    Question, can you eliminate the labels on a Pie chart and just have the pie chart and a legend with labels and values?

    I have few questions regarding creating Chart in BW Report. One thing I need to make it clear it's a simple BeX Report not a WAD report.
    (1) How should I create a chart in the Report?? Should I have to create it in the Excel Sheet once I run the report?
    (2) Do I need to create the chart everytime manually once I run the report or is there any way we can save it and everytime we open the Report it should display the chart automatically !!
    (3) When users drill up/ drill down or group data in different views, the Chart should be dynamically changed follow the change in data set. Is it possible to do that??

  • How to change the chart color in report 6i based on its value?

    I built a simple chart using Chart Wizard in Report 6i, with X axis = supplier and Y axis = rating. I want the chart to show different color for certain rating, eg: above 80% => red color.
    Anyone know how to do this?
    Pls help!

    Hi Resham,
    In SP list, you change the background color of field value using Content editor and javascript.
    Add the content editor webpart on the list page with javascript which highlight the particualr value based on the condition.
    You can refer to following link

  • Programmatically adding chart to a report throws exception

    programmatically adding chart to a report throws exception "chart condition fields are not valid".
    Configuration:
    I am using CR4E to create web application, I've added RAS jars (rasapp.jar, rascore.jar, reporttemplate.jar, serialization.jar) to this web application. For designing reports i am using Crystal Reports 2008.
    Code:
    <%
    // Get the previously opened report from the session.
    ReportClientDocument reportClientDocument =
         (ReportClientDocument)session.getAttribute("ReportClientDocument");
    System.out.println(reportClientDocument.getReportDocument().getName());
    // Try to get the report's DataDefinition object.
    IDataDefinition dataDefinition;
    try
         dataDefinition = reportClientDocument.getDataDefController().getDataDefinition();
    // If the DataDefinition object can not be retrieved, redirect the user to an error page.
    catch (Exception e)
         System.out.println("With error1");
        return;
    // Create a new ChartDefinition object and set its type to ChartType.group.
    ChartDefinition chartDefinition = new ChartDefinition();
    chartDefinition.setChartType(ChartType.group);
    Get the conditional field of the report's first group. Set this conditional
    field for the ChartDefinition object using the setConditonalFields method. Notice
    that the conditional field is first placed in a Fields collection because the
    setConditionalFields method takes a Fields object as an argument.
    Fields conditionFields = new Fields();
    if (!dataDefinition.getGroups().isEmpty())
         IField field = dataDefinition.getGroups().getGroup(0).getConditionField();
         System.out.println("Condition field name ->" + field.getLongName(Locale.ENGLISH));
         conditionFields.addElement(field);
    chartDefinition.setConditionFields(conditionFields);
    //Get the summary field name from the form on the previous page.
    String summaryFieldName = URLDecoder.decode(request.getParameter("summaryField"));
    System.out.println("Summary field name ->" + summaryFieldName);
    Loop through all of the report's summary fields until the one matching the name
    above is found. Set this summary field for the ChartDefinition object using the
    setDataFields method. Notice that the summary field is first placed in a Fields
    collection because the setDataFields method takes a Fields object as an argument.
    Fields dataFields = new Fields();
    for (int i = 0; i < dataDefinition.getSummaryFields().size(); i++)
        IField summaryField = dataDefinition.getSummaryFields().getField(i);
         if (summaryField.getLongName(Locale.ENGLISH).equals(summaryFieldName))
              System.out.println("Adding data field ->" + summaryFieldName);
              dataFields.addElement(summaryField);

    Create a new ChartObject to represent the chart that will be added.  Set the
    ChartDefinition property of the ChartObject using the ChartDefinition object created
    above.
    ChartObject chartObject = new ChartObject();
    chartObject.setChartDefinition(chartDefinition);
    Get the chart type, chart placement, and chart title strings from the form on the

    System.out.println("chartTypeString ->"+ chartTypeString + "<-chartPlacementString->" + chartPlacementString + "<-chartTitle->"+chartTitle);
    if (chartTitle.equals(""))
         chartTitle = "untitled";
    Create a ChartStyleType object and a AreaSectionKind object based on the
    the chartTypeString and chartPlacementString retrieved above. In this example
    possible chart types are bar chart and pie chart. Possible chart placements
    are header and footer.
    ChartStyleType chartStyleType = ChartStyleType.from_string(chartTypeString);
    AreaSectionKind chartPlacement = AreaSectionKind.from_string(chartPlacementString);

    chartObject.setChartReportArea(chartPlacement);
    chartObject.getChartStyle().getTextOptions().setTitle(chartTitle);
    // Set the width, height, and top for the chart.
    chartObject.setHeight(5000);
    chartObject.setWidth(5000);
    chartObject.setTop(1000);

  • Special Characters in charts with web reports

    Hello, we are facing a problem to display special characters in charts on web reports (it comes out badly).
    The only sap note found about this problem is note n°1036745, but it is for NW 2004s, but should be solved in NW04s BIJava SP 12, and we are currently with SP 15.
    Has anyone faced this problem with BI 7.0?
    Thanks,
    Philippe

    hi Philippe
    I did not faced this issue. Nevertheless there is another note dealing with the issue. Note 1088411.
    Take into account that your basis should synchronise the level of BI JAVA SP the famous Java Stacks and BI SP (ABAP support package).
    You say that you are SP 15 I guess it is ABAP SP as SPS for 15 is not already shipped,
    if this is not the case please ask your basis to check tihs note 1013369.
    Hope this could help you

  • Country chart of account report

    hi sap guru's
    what is country chart of account . how to configured the country chart of accounts reports. could u pls anybody explain with the senario. explain the configured steps to country chart of accounts
    regards
    shiva

    Hi,
    you can set 2 COA for one company code. In SPRO Global Parameters for Company Code\ Enter Global Parameters you can set a Chart of Accts and a Country chart/accts. By using the Alternative account number, the connection between the account in the chart of accounts and the account in the country chart of accounts can be set up.
    You set the link between these two COAs at GL account level populating the field "Alternative Account": you need to establish an alternative account of the country COA for the GL Accounts of the COA that you need to map.
    There are several GL reports that can be shown by alternative accounts, mainly P&L, Balance Sheet...
    Please follow these steps:
    1- set Group Chart of Accounts as a COA of the company code. Find the customizing point in my post above.
    2- set Country Chart of Account as a "country COA" at Company Code level. Same customizing point than before. You can use the standard that SAP provides (CAES in case of Spain for example or you can create a new one)
    3- For each GL account you'll need to map at GL Account level in the field "Alternative Account" the corresponding country account.(trx FS00)
    You need to now that users will work everyday in the group COA not in the country specific one, country COA is only for statutory reporting (P&G, Balance Sheet...). They will not have operating reports in country COA and operations will be only in group COA.
    If you want to have all posting valuated not only un EUR but also in USD in case of USA, you will need to set several currencies at company code level also.

  • Design Charts in Crystal Report

    Hi There
    I am wondering if i can design a chart in Crystal report with the data I define, for example, I have a report for each OS type I use running total to get their data, the reason I am using running total is because their calculation are different, so now i have a data like this
    Win        10
    HP          20
    Solaris   30
    now I want to use this data(the above data are get by running total) to draw a chart, is it possible?I am thinking to put those data in an array, but not sure if this can be done in CR?
    thanks

    You can do it. You can use a 'Shared Variable' in a formula and store the Value(s) of the 'Running Total'. you can create 3 shared variables in one formula or create 3 different formulas.Then use this shared variable in the sub-report and design the chart there in the sub-report. you might have to place this sub-report in the report footer or any section which comes after the 'running total' is calculated.
