Hiding Known Folders Not working s2012R2.

Question

hello all
i have a situation where i have to hide known folders from explorer view (on the left hand side) so it just shows the Drives and not
Music,Downloads,Pictures, Videos ETC i have configured a User policy to hide known folders based on GUIDS shown below

but unfortunately it does not work. none of the folders are hidden. what am i doing wrong ???
environment is 2012R2 with RDSH

Based on the description, do you mean that we want to remove Documents, Music, Picture, and Videos from File Explorer?  If yes, we can do this by editing the Registry.
To remove Document, we can delete the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{A8CDFF1C-4878-43be-B5FD-F8091C1C60D0}
To remove Music, delete the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{1CF1260C-4DD0-4ebb-811F-33C572699FDE}
To remove Picture, delete the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{3ADD1653-EB32-4cb0-BBD7-DFA0ABB5ACCA}
To remove Videos, delete the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{A0953C92-50DC-43bf-BE83-3742FED03C9C}
Note, before we delete the registry entries, in case of something goes wrong, please export them to back them up.
If we want to deploy the registry changes to multiple server 2012r2 machines, we can do this via Group Policy Preferences Registry extension. In this case, the setting path is Computer Configuration\Preferences\Windows Settings\Registry.
